EastEnders' Billy Mitchell has some good luck for once as he has a big win on the horses.

As Billy (Perry Fenwick) starts to flash the cash, he quickly catches the attention of Tara, a mysterious woman who has come to stay at the B&B for a few days.

Not realising that Billy is usually skint, Tara keenly agrees to go on a date with him.

With Lola away on a camping trip with her friends, Kim Fox steps in to babysit Lexi while Billy enjoys his date. However, she eventually loses patience and crashes the romantic moment.

When Kim spots the expensive lobster and champagne lunch, she starts to question Tara's motives, fearing that she is only using Billy for his money. Is Kim's theory correct?

Liz May Brice - who has previously appeared in Bad Girls, Torchwood and The Bill - plays the role of Tara.

EastEnders guest star Liz May Brice has revealed that she would like a longer stint on the soap.

The former Bad Girls actress appears on the BBC show for a short story next week as her character Tara takes a shine to Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick).

Tara is impressed by Billy when he starts flashing the cash following a big win on the horses, but she loses interest and leaves Albert Square as soon as she discovers that he is poor most of the time.

Brice told Inside Soap of the plot: "Tara's really disappointed that Billy turns out to have pretended to be rich. But when she makes an excuse about having to leave, Billy is so brilliant and sweet about it that I think Tara does wonder if she's let a good guy slip through her fingers!

"I was so thrilled to come into the show, because there's probably nothing bigger than EastEnders - it's always been the one I've wanted to do. Who knows what will happen with Tara if the audience like her? I'd certainly be delighted to come back."

Brice added that Tara should return and set her sights on Phil Mitchell, as she is friends with his portrayer Steve McFadden in real life.

She laughed: "Tara needs to get her facts straight and go for the rich Mitchell! I was joking about that with Steve when we caught up. We did a show together years ago, so it'd be hilarious if Tara and Phil got together. But Perry Fenwick was fantastic. He's such a good actor - it was a joy."
