Coronation Street's Lloyd Mullaney faces a frightening experience later this month as he is targeted by a group of racist thugs.
Lloyd (Craig Charles) is on a lads' night out for Paul Kershaw's birthday when the shocking incident takes place.
Paul (Tony Hirst) is left disappointed on his big day as his workmates fail to turn up to celebrate with him, seemingly because they think he's a racist following the recent feud with Lloyd.
With the mood far from jovial on Paul's evening out, everyone starts heading home early, leaving Lloyd chatting up the barmaid.
Soon afterwards, a group of locals approach Lloyd and start making racist comments towards him. However, as the thugs threaten Lloyd and throw him against a wall, Paul suddenly arrives back and jumps to his defence.
The violent showdown allows Paul and Lloyd to finally make their peace with each other, but has the truce come too late for Paul's fiancée Eileen?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, August 19 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.

It's Paul's birthday but he's in court, where he receives community service for his attack on Lloyd. In a bid to cheer him up, Eileen suggests a lads' night out, asking Steve, Lloyd and Brian to tag along. However, when Paul's workmates fail to show he blames Lloyd, reckoning it's because they think he's a racist.
Realising the evening is a wash-out, Paul, Steve and Brian head home, leaving Lloyd chatting up the barmaid. But when a group of locals approach Lloyd making racist digs, is Lloyd in danger?
Meanwhile, Craig tries to get hold of Karl, desperate to talk to someone. However, before Karl can get to him, Stella finds Craig in the ginnel drinking vodka. As she takes him home to Beth, a panic-stricken Karl is in hot pursuit. Is Craig about to reveal all to Stella?
Elsewhere, when Leanne walks in on Gail, Kylie and David discussing how she's coping, Leanne flips and accuses them of gossiping. Leanne is clearly on edge and David feels guilty.
Also, Sally and Anna lock horns over Tim's presence on the street, but how does Faye feel about her dad staying?
Finally, Michelle feels threatened by Peter, convinced that he's trying to edge her out of a job.As the racist thugs threaten Lloyd and throw him against a wall, Paul suddenly arrives. Realising what's going on, he jumps to Lloyd's defence. As the thugs back off, Lloyd thanks Paul for coming to his rescue.
Paul then apologises to Lloyd, admitting that he was in the wrong from the beginning and they finally bury the hatchet. But is Paul's apology too little too late for Eileen?
Meanwhile, when the consultant tells Gail and Leanne that they're reducing Nick's sedation and he should regain consciousness soon, how will David react?
Elsewhere, Stella deposits Craig with Beth and explains how she found him drinking. Karl tries to make light of it, but consumed with misery, Craig contemplates owning up to Beth about the fire. Will Karl be able to convince him to keep quiet?
Also, determined to win Faye round, Sally tells Anna that they're having a Bank Holiday BBQ. Rising to the bait, Anna retorts that Faye won't be there as they're having their own BBQ.
Finally, Peter feels belittled by Carla as she witters on about the horribly expensive wedding dress she's buying, while Stella tells an unimpressed Tina that she'd like her to do a few shifts at the Bistro to help Leanne out.
Wednesday
Gail and Leanne are relieved as Nick is taken off the ventilator and can breathe on his own. Over at the Bistro, Leanne confides in Tina about the awful time she and Nick have had and how they've been victims of a hate campaign.
As Leanne lists the things that have happened, Tina eyes David suspiciously. Will she realise he's to blame for everything?
Meanwhile, Paul tells Eileen how sorry he is for all the grief he's caused and suggests they meet for lunch. Over lunch, he tells her how he wants to spend the rest of his life with her and suggests they get married as soon as they can. Taken aback, how will Eileen respond?
Elsewhere, Stella is disappointed with the second hand wedding dress she's bought off the internet. Along with her worries over celebrating while Nick's still in hospital, will Stella see it as another sign that she should put the wedding on hold?
Also today, as Katy and Chesney share a laugh together like old times, it's clear that she regrets leaving him. Katy is hopeful they can reconcile, but as she gets her hopes up, what are Chesney's feelings for Sinead?
Friday
As an exhausted Leanne sits at Nick's bedside willing him to wake, David is overwhelmed with guilt. At the same time, Tina leaves several messages on David's phone, desperate to talk to him and find out if he's responsible for Nick's car crash.
Later, Tina finally corners David in the salon and demands to know if he tried to kill his brother. Will a tormented David reveal the truth?
Meanwhile, when Katy suggests to Chesney that they should take Joseph to the park together, Sinead assures Chesney that it's fine and they can meet up later. Dolled up to the nines, Katy meets Chesney in the café. Making out that Joseph has got a cold, she tells Chesney how she thought it'd be nice for them to have some time alone. As Sinead watches them from across the street, will Chesney succumb to Katy's charms?
Elsewhere, Gary and Izzy ask Tina if she'd like to babysit Jake. But they're taken aback when a distracted Tina seems dismissive and tells them she'll have to get back to them.
Also, Anna finds a note from Sylvia saying she's gone to stay with her sister, as she needs to get away from it all. She decides not to tell Roy and Hayley until they get back from their holidays.
Finally, Sally invites everyone to come dine with her, while Eileen is fed up with people gossiping about her love life.
Under Tina's accusatory gaze, David caves in and admits that he was responsible for the hate campaign and Nick's car crash, but insists he never meant to kill Nick.
Tina is horrified and vows to tell Gail the truth. David begs her to keep quiet but Tina makes it clear that she's not prepared to lie for him. Is David's time up?
Meanwhile, assuring Chesney that she'd understand if he chose to be with Katy over her, as Katy's the mother of his child, Sinead leaves Chesney to think about it. Chesney has a heart to heart with Tyrone and admits the most important thing in his life is Joseph. Desperate to be with his son, will Chesney finish with Sinead and take Katy back?
Elsewhere, when Sally bangs on about her garden party and suggests Tim should invite some of his friends, Tim makes excuses and escapes to the pub. Worried that Tim's going off her, Sally asks Sophie and Jenna for their advice. Jenna reckons she should take a step back and stop smothering him. But is Sally capable of a more chilled approach?
Also, Tina assures Gary and Izzy that she'd love to babysit for Jake and they don't need to worry about her.
Finally, Eileen rebukes Julie for fussing over her.
