Monday episode 5796 - 29/07/13

Bianca arrives home a little tipsy after the Principal’s Dinner. Heath had secretly gone to surprise her, only to discover that she was being accompanied by Zac. Bianca doesn’t mention Zac when she talks to Heath about the dinner. Roo has taken it upon herself to organise Bianca and Heath’s wedding, and while discussing it at the diner, Irene reveals she sent Heath to the Principal’s Dinner to support his fiancee. It all makes sense now to Bianca - this accounts for Heath’s bad mood. She tracks him down to talk it out, but arrives to find Heath having it out with Zac on the beach. Heath’s angry that Bianca never told him Zac was her date. After a blow up with Bianca, Heath apologises to Zac for his behaviour. Zac explains that the only reason he accompanied Bianca to her Principal’s Dinner was because she confided in him that she was intimidated at the thought of going alone. Heath is hurt that Bianca would talk about these things with Zac and not him. He confronts Bianca, insecure about their relationship. He’s convinced Bianca is following her old pattern of finding new lovers as her wedding day approaches.

In an attempt to help John with his financial worries, Marilyn has talked Irene into giving him a trial at the diner, and he’s thrilled. Unfortunately, despite his bravado, John’s not doing such a great job on his first day, and Irene’s sceptical about his suitability for the position. When Irene pops out for a couple of minutes, John manages to break the coffee machine. Overwhelmed by the impatient diners, John asks Marilyn to help him hide the broken coffee machine. Irene catches them out and is disappointed in Marilyn for covering for John. Irene lets John go, who accepts his sacking with dignity. It breaks Marilyn’s heart to know how much he needed this job.

Spencer is worried that because of his breakup with her sister, Indi no longer wants him employed at the gym. Indi’sis quick to quell his concerns, and his job is safe. After all, Indi understands what it feels like for someone you care about to just up and leave … but at least Sasha came back. When watching Spencer comfort Maddy, who is upset after finding out about Pippa’s illness, Indi can’t help but feel for Sasha. After being pressured for information about Spencer, Indi reveals she saw him comforting Maddy to a devastated Sasha. At a loose end, Sasha then contemplates returning to Broken Hill. Maddy sees how upset Spencer is to hear Sasha may be moving away and realises that he’s far from over his feelings for Sasha.

Tuesday episode 5797 - 30/07/13

Bianca is outraged by Heath’s accusation that she switches men right before her wedding day. Irene puts Heath’s concerns into perspective – she has to admit she has a track record. Bianca refutes this. Besides, she does not have feelings for Zac. That may be true, but is Bianca sure Zac doesn’t have feelings for her? This is food for thought for Bianca. Meanwhile, Leah counsels Zac that Heath probably has a right to feel jealous. Leah can see an attraction between Zac and Bianca and thinks Zac’s playing with fire. Heath explains his behaviour to Bianca – his fears about her getting cold feet before their impending wedding. Bianca and Heath passionately reconcile on the beach. Zac sees this from a distance and can’t help but feel a twinge of regret. Could Zac be after more than just a friendship with Bianca?

Ricky’s accepted her fate – she’s going to prison. She thinks it’s pointless to fight this, and wants Brax to testify against her. The pair approach the impending court date with trepidation. She’s concerned that when Brax gets on the stand he will try and lie for her, and she doesn’t want that. The last thing she needs is for him to end up in gaol as well. At Ricky’s trial Brax does as Ricky feared, and refuses to give testimony against Ricky.

Tamara is dreading testifying in court. Casey will find out that her memories are coming back. Kyle’s concerned that she’s remembered Casey, but those memories haven’t returned. Kyle tells Tamara she has the option of lying on the stand and not revealing her memory is slowly returning.

Sally is positive about finding a buyer for Summer Bay House so she can fund the trip to America and begin the medical trial to combat Pippa’s illness. Alf calls a meeting to discuss strategies to help get the Caravan Park and the house sold quickly so Sally can keep her promise of getting Pippa to America. Sally’s amused by Marilyn’s efforts to generate interest in the house, but can’t deny the fear that’s growing that they won’t sell the place in time. Despite everyone pulling together, Alf realises they won’t sell the house unless they raise the funds themselves.

Maddy apologises to Sasha about their fight the other day, and reveals that Spencer is still hung up on Sasha. Sasha’s sceptical, and wonders if this is a trick. Maddy promises she just wants Spencer to be happy. She now realises that she was the major complication in Sasha and Spencer’s relationship. Later, Maddy tells Spencer he should give Sasha a second chance. Maddy threw away her relationship with Spencer and regrets it; she doesn’t want him to do the same thing. Off the back of this, Spencer asks Sasha to stay in Summer Bay. He’s worried about jumping back into a relationship, but the pair agree to start again, and kiss. Maddy is pleased to see Spencer happy, even though it hurts. Roo is floored by Maddy’s selflessness.

Ricky’s upset that Brax is locked away because of her, but Kyle bails him out. She thanks Tamara for her honesty in court. Her lawyers say Tamara helped their case, but now everything hangs on Casey’s testimony – and both Ricky and Brax are pretty sure it’s going to be damning. However, Casey has a change of heart while on the stand and says that Ricky doesn’t deserve to go to gaol. His family and Ricky are completely shocked. Moved by Casey’s heartfelt testimony, more memories of their relationship come flooding back to Tamara. Ricky’s sentence is suspended and an overjoyed Ricky embraces Brax. However, Casey still can’t hold back his bitterness when Ricky tries to thank him. His life is still a mess due to Ricky’s actions. When Tamara reveals she remembers Casey, he asks why she is still with Kyle. He could have forgiven her when she had amnesia, but now – they’re done.
