'EastEnders' actress Anna Wing dies, aged 98

Former EastEnders actress Anna Wing has died at the age of 98.

The actress, who played Lou Beale on the BBC soap, passed away on Sunday (July 6).

sad news, a very good actor. anna played a big part in eastenders early success. loved her scenes with wendy richard.

i remember a scene lou had in the very 1st episode when she was having an argument with pauline about arthur being out of work and pauline being pregnant. lou referred to the then prime minster as 'that cow from number 10.' :D

it was a shame anna decided to leave eastenders so early, they did not want her to leave and we could have enjoyed lou for a while longer.

RIP Anna. Although I knew she had to be nearing 100, I was still shocked when I heard the news.
