Jessie J has confirmed that she will not return to The Voice UK for its third series.

The 'Wild' singer announced on Twitter that she has given up her coaching role as her music career "has to take priority".

"I've absolutely loved my time on The Voice and I hope everyone saw and knows how passionately I felt about the show," she began.

"However, I can't wait to promote my new record around the world and that has to take priority.

"I shall be keeping a very close eye on series three, showing my support in every way I can and really hope in some way that I can be part of the show."

Mark Linsey, BBC Controller of Entertainment Commissioning, thanked Jessie J for her time on The Voice and announced that bosses "will now start the search for a new coach".

"We're so sorry to see Jessie go as she's been an exceptional coach on, and advocate for, The Voice, but we totally support her decision to leave due to touring commitments overseas," he said.

"We very much hope that Jessie will remain part of the show and come back and perform for us next series. In the meantime, we will now start the search for a new coach."

The official Voice UK Twitter account later read: "Yes, it's true. After being a redonkulously incredible coach for two series of #TheVoiceUK, @jessiej has left the building (and her chair).

"Despite the sniffles, we wish @jessiej lots of love, luck and bigups and we look forward to seeing her tweets about series 3. #TheVoiceUK...#ByeJessieJ #theVOICEuk."

It is not yet known whether will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue will return to The Voice UK for a third series.

Faith, Ora and Sandé are said to be the current favourites to replace the 'Wild' singer, with producers set to approach them.

An insider said to The Mirror: "Jessie will need to be replaced by another female. It would be great to have someone young and current. Paloma Faith, Rita Ora and Emeli Sandé are right up there on our wishlist of talent."

The Voice UK star Danny O'Donoghue has become the second coach to quit the show.

The Irish musician, who won the last series with his act Andrea Begley, announced today (July 16) that he will not be returning for a third year due to recording commitments with The Script.

"I had two wonderful seasons on The Voice and as everybody knows I gave it my heart and soul and couldn't be more proud of the show and what we have achieved," he wrote on Twitter.

"My focus will be on The Script moving forward as we are about to embark on the most important part of our career as a band."

The BBC confirmed the news on its official Twitter, writing: "Danny O'Donoghue, will not be returning to @BBCTheVoiceUK for next year's series due to recording commitments with The Script.

"Danny has been a star on #TheVoiceUK but we understand that he has to focus on his music career - The Script have a busy year ahead.

"We are very sorry to see Danny go but wish him and the band the very best and hope they will come back and perform for us next series."

The corporation added: "The full coaches' line-up for the third series of #TheVoiceUK will be announced in due course."

Jessie J revealed that she would also be leaving The Voice UK less than two weeks ago.

It is not yet known if will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones will remain on the panel for series three.

The Voice UK's third series will allegedly be brought forward in the TV schedules next year.

BBC bosses are said to have decided to change the broadcast dates for the talent show's next run, according to supposed leaked documents acquired by The Sun.

The show's live finals will reportedly begin in March and finish in April, before rival show Britain's Got Talent returns on ITV.

Pre-recorded auditions would therefore begin in February, which is almost two months earlier than this year's run.

However, a BBC spokesperson has since stated: "No decision has been made. The Voice is not pinned down in the schedule yet."

Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue have both confirmed their departures from The Voice UK's coaching panel after two series.

It is not yet known if will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones will remain on the panel for series three.

Speculation is mounting over Holly Willoughby's future on The Voice, after reports that she was set to quit the series to make a permanent move to ITV.

According to a newspaper report the presenter - who also co-hosts This Morning with Philip Schofield - is keen to sign a 'golden handcuffs' deal with the network.

If the 32-year-old were to quit The Voice it would be the latest blow for the BBC One show, which has also seen coaches Danny O'Donoghue and Jessie J quit in recent weeks.

There is also a question mark hanging over the future of will.i.am on the panel.

There have also been rumours that he may be about to swap The Voice for a spot on the American Idol judging panel.

The fourth coach, Tom Jones, has yet to confirm or deny his involvement in next year's series.

Will.i.am has reportedly been lined up for a return to The Voice UK.

The Black Eyed Peas performer will serve as coach on the third series of the competition, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rumours of the singer's possible departure from the show emerged earlier this summer, alongside reports that he was poised to join the next season of American Idol.

However The Hollywood Reporter has claimed that while will.i.am was in talks to join Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban on American Idol, he ultimately decided to take a deal from the production company Wall to Wall, which produces The Voice.

Former coaches Jessie J and The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue announced their departures from The Voice UK in July.

Cheryl Cole has since been ruled out as a possible replacement, while Olly Murs has hinted that he would be interested if asked.

Who doesn't love Kylie Minogue?

Charlene in Neighbours. Pop minx in the '80s. Naughty indie rebel in the '90s. Classy comeback queen with spangly buttock-hugging hotpants in the '00s. The Street Fighter movie. OK, scrap the last one, but you get the idea.

The BBC probably can't believe its luck in snagging the Aussie pop icon for series three of The Voice UK. Jessie 'Look At My Gurning Face' J and Danny 'Making Up The Numbers' O'Donoghue weren't everyone's cup of tea, but after two series that have been savaged by critics and struggled in the popstar-creation department, it didn't look like it would be easy to find someone willing to put their name to a show that is facing a make-or-break year.

However, the BBC has dug deep (maybe this explains the dodgy Strictly lineup) and shown some serious commitment to the reality show. Alongside Tom Jones and will.i.am (a rare bright spark in both series so far), they've got a solid mix of pop clout and credibility.

It isn't just the name 'Kylie' and everything it brings with it that makes it such a great appointment. It's also that personality-wise and career-wise, she's the perfect fit for a show that has often found itself bogged down in a depressing spiral of taking itself way too seriously.

The magic of Kylie Minogue is that she's managed to turn her hand to just about every sort of pop music (cheesy pop, electro pop, indie pop, dark pop) across her 25 years in the charts and she's never looked like she was trying too hard or abandoned her core fans.

She's managed to be popular and credible. Fun and serious. A straddling act that The Voice has always stumbled over, falling repeatedly on the taking-itself-too-seriously side of the fence.

The BBC still has some thorny issues to navigate if it's to make The Voice UK work.

Moving series three to January shifts it away from a direct battle with Britain's Got Talent, which may prove sensible in the long-run. However, despite the intense Cowell/BBC rivalry, both shows probably benefited from the publicity that the spats and ratings war generated.

If it's to succeed in the New Year, the biggest hurdle for the producers is finding a format for the show beyond the Blind Auditions that makes a single iota of sense and somehow turning the acts into people we give even a tiny hoot about. Not easy tasks.

Minogue's appointment alone won't be enough to save The Voice UK from the scrapheap, but at the very least it's a bloody good start.

Emma Willis has been announced as one of the new presenters of The Voice UK.

The Big Brother host will take over the role from Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates, who presented the show's first and second series.

In a statement released by the BBC today (September 14), Willis confirmed that she would be taking on the role for the reality TV contest's third series in 2014. She said: "The Voice is an absolutely brilliant TV show with the unique ability to showcase and nurture amazing raw talent.

"I couldn't be more excited to be a part of it and I cannot wait to get started."

Willoughby and Yates both also revealed that they would be leaving The Voice UK in the statement. Willoughby said: "After much consideration, I will not be returning for series three of The Voice UK. I've had two wonderful years on the show, and I feel very privileged to have been a part of it.

"Finding the right balance between my work and family life is my priority and this has contributed to my decision. I look forward to watching the next series from my sofa, and I wish the whole team the best of luck."

Yates added: "I've had a fantastic time on the last two series of The Voice UK and I wish all the team the best of luck for the new series."

A new co-presenter to accompany Willis will be announced next week.

Kylie Minogue was revealed this week to be one of the new coaches for the show's third series alongside Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am, following Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue's departure from The Voice UK.

A fourth coach to complete the panel has yet to be announced.

Marvin Humes has been named as co-host of The Voice by the BBC.

The JLS member and Capital Radio DJ will join Big Brother host Emma Willis when the show returns for its third series in the New Year.

Humes told Digital Spy last month that he "wouldn't say no" to The Voice.

"I'm so excited to be a part of the new series of The Voice," said Humes in a statement. "I have always been a big fan of the show and love that musicians are given such a great opportunity to reach such a wide audience.

"I'm thrilled to be working alongside Emma and be part of a new team on The Voice. It's going to be even bigger and better with this new series. I can't wait to start."

The BBC's controller of entertainment Mark Linsey expressed his belief that Humes "is perfectly placed to encourage the acts through the competition".

Humes made a one-off appearance alongside wife Rochelle as guest host of This Morning just a few weeks ago, with 61.5% of Digital Spy readers saying that they thought the pair did a good job.

The Voice will return to BBC One in early 2014 with Sir Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue and will.i.am as coaches. The show's fourth coach is yet to be confirmed.

He said: "Who doesn't want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue? I spent last winter yelling at The Voice, and both Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am were total superstars. I'm just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!"

The BBC's Mark Linsey, Controller of Entertainment Commissioning stated: "Ricky is one of the UK music scene's great frontmen. He knows all about performance and will complement the rest of the coaching line-up perfectly."

BBC One Controller Charlotte Moore added that The Voice UK's third series will be "bigger and better than ever".

Kaiser Chiefs scored a number one single in 2007 with 'Ruby', while they are also known for their tracks including 'Oh My God' and 'I Predict a Riot'.

The Voice is back for a third series and the famous red chairs are to be filled with a new line-up of megastars as pop icon Kylie Minogue and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson join Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am in the search for the UK’s next vocal sensation.
This series welcomes new presenters Emma Willis and Marvin Humes who will be with the acts throughout the Blind Auditions, consoling and congratulating.

The ever-popular coaches’ group performance returns this year as Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones, Ricky Wilson and will.i.am perform an exciting arrangement of familiar songs…

The auditions are about one thing and one thing only - The Voice. Each Coach picks the artist that they want to work with based solely on what they can hear.

Facing away from the stage, the coaches cannot see what the artists look like – if they like what they hear and they want to mentor the voice, they hit their famous red buttons and turn round to see the performer.

With the chance to be personally mentored by one of the four superstars, the artists will be hoping that at least one Coach turns their chair for them. If more than one coach turns round, the coaches must pitch for the artist – they’ll employ their years of experience, their legendary contacts and their unique talents to try to persuade the very best acts to join their team.

Each Coach must form a team of 12 artists. Once each Coach has a full team, they will advise and mentor them through to the next stage of the competition - the Battle Rounds.

Emma Willis and Marvin Humes present the next set of Blind Auditions as each of the four coaches, Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones, Ricky Wilson and will.i.am, continue to build their talented team of 12.
Each coach has the power to kick start a career by pushing their red button and turning their chair. However, if more than one coach turns, the power shifts to the artist, meaning they can choose which superstar would be the perfect fit for their talent.

As the teams start to form under each coach, the competition between them increases and Kylie, will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson will use every trick in the book to ensure they attract the best artists to their team.

The actress - who appeared in the ITV soap for five years as Scarlett Nichols - will face Kylie Minogue, Ricky Wilson, will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones in an attempt to make it through to the next round of the BBC competition.

Speaking before her audition, Crossley picked up on the similarities between herself and Minogue - who started out on the Australian soap Neighbours before launching a successful music career.

"I love to sing - it was the first thing I got into," Crossley said. "Then when I got into Emmerdale, I put it on the back burner."

She added: "I am serious about being a musician and I'm ready."

Viewers will be able to find out whether Crossley makes it through to the next round on tonight's episode of The Voice, which airs at 7pm on BBC One.
