EastEnders airs these scenes next Thursday, July 25 at 7.30pm and Friday, July 26 at 8pm on BBC One.
EastEnders have filmed a special scene marking the birth of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge's baby boy.
Show bosses have decided to reflect the national talking point by slotting in a newly-filmed scene at the last minute.
Viewers will see Dot (June Brown) and Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) discussing the happy news in a scene that has been specially shot and will be dropped into tonight's episode (July 23) of the soap.
An EastEnders spokesperson said: "This is such a momentous occasion for the royal family, the country and of course the residents of Walford that we felt it should be marked in EastEnders history".
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge became parents to their son - weighing 8lb 6oz - at 4.24pm yesterday (July 22).
EastEnders chiefs regularly slot last-minute scenes into episodes to reflect major news.
Previous last-minute additions have included references to references to the Olympics, Michael Jackson's death, the 2010 general election and most recently Andy Murray's win at Wimbledon.
Footage of the royal wedding was also included in an episode in 2011, just hours after the ceremony had taken place.
