Looks like the start of Hayley's cancer storyline

Yes, wondered why Hayley was having tests with Roy. Thought supporting him would be enough?

Sad story time again. :(

Coronation Street favourite Hayley Cropper is given cause for concern over her health later this month.

Having recently had a basic check-up at the doctors, Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) is puzzled when she is asked to call in at the medical centre to discuss the results in person.

Later that day, all becomes clear as Hayley's GP explains that her test results show some abnormal liver function. As a result, she needs to be sent for some further tests to get to the bottom of it.

Hayley can't help but feel worried after what she's heard, but once she's back home, she covers in front of Roy and claims that the results were fine.

Although Hayley is able to keep Roy in the dark, Sylvia later notices that she's in a strange mood and asks to know why. Opening up to her mother-in-law, Hayley admits that she's being sent for further tests and is worried…

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, July 15 at 7.30pm on ITV

Monday

Michelle warns a worried Carla that the crazy deals Peter is offering in the bookies could bankrupt him.

Later, when Steve takes advantage of one of Peter's deals, will Michelle be proved right?

Meanwhile, Eileen begs Paul to swallow his pride and apologise to Lloyd before things get out of hand. Paul begrudgingly agrees, but when he gets the cold shoulder in the corner shop, he realises that Lloyd has been spreading the word that he's a racist. Confronting Lloyd, will Paul apologise?

Elsewhere, having had a basic health check at the doctors with Roy, Hayley is puzzled when they ask her to call in at the medical centre for her test results.

Also, Emily returns from the solicitors and tells Norris that he just needs to sign the paperwork and then Number 3 will be his.

Finally, Tracy is thrilled when Rob announces that he's managed to acquire a sports car.

Carla berates Peter for gambling away their joint business with his crazy offers. Peter is defensive and moans to Deirdre about Carla sticking her oar in when she doesn't know the first thing about his business.

Unable to face Carla, Peter asks Deirdre if he can stay the night at Number 1, but will he admit that his business is on the rocks?

Meanwhile, the doctor tells Hayley that her test results show some abnormal liver function and he'd like to send her for some more tests. Hayley is concerned but back at home she covers, assuring Roy that her results were fine and there's nothing to worry about.

Elsewhere, Paul and Lloyd's feud escalates. Sophie suggests to Eileen that as long as she sticks up for Paul, that makes her as bad as him. Eileen is incensed and when Lloyd and Paul stare each other out in the pub, she makes it clear that she's had enough.

Also, Rob tells Tracy the car was a repossession and he's sold it for £8,000, having lied to his company that it's been stolen. Tracy is impressed and resolves to match the £8,000 so they can set up their cash converter business. But where will she get the cash?

Finally, will Norris become the new owner of Number 3?

Wednesday

Peter is determined to turn his business around and apologises to Carla, assuring her that he appreciates her help and intends to put the bookies back on track.

When Carla then hands Peter the day's cash for the till and Rob makes a dig at Peter, Carla unleashes her fury on Rob. Peter's had enough too and later goes after Rob, clearly in a threatening mood.

Meanwhile, reminding Rob how she promised to match his money, Tracy pulls out an envelope full of cash. Rob is impressed, but where has she suddenly got thousands from?

Elsewhere, when Roy shows Hayley his aromatherapy candles and tells her how important it is that they lead stress-free lives, Hayley is forced to agree, hiding her worries.

Also today, Norris is proud of his new found status as a home-owner - that is until Emily bursts his bubble when she hands him a pile of household bills.

Finally, Paul and Eileen feel like social pariahs on the street.

Friday

Carla and Michelle are astonished to learn that Rob and Tracy are planning to go into business together.

Later, determined to push Peter to his limits, Rob places £500 on an accumulator. Peter accepts the bet, even though he's aware that if Rob were to win, it would bankrupt him. As the two men eye-ball each other, Carla arrives and demands to know what's going on. Will Peter's gamble pay off, or is he set to lose everything?

Meanwhile, Sylvia confronts Hayley and asks her why she's been so jumpy of late. Hayley admits that she's being sent for further tests and she's worried. With a concerned Sylvia covering for her, Hayley sets off for her ultrasound scan.

Elsewhere, Paul's pig-headedness is wearing Eileen down. Mandy has had enough too and suggests they put their heads together and try to get Paul and Lloyd talking again.

Also, Mandy and Jenna argue over Jenna's wasted career, while Audrey is concerned when she discovers a crack in her living room wall.

The decision is announced that Rob's horse is now officially the winner. Rob is ecstatic, while the colour drains from Peter's face. As Rob demands his £35,000, it becomes clear that Peter can't pay up. Incredulous, Rob threatens to sue as Carla is forced to beg him not to involve the law. Will Rob comply?

Later, when Deirdre finds Rob and Tracy rowing over him gambling with their joint money, will she discover where Tracy got her half of the cash?

Meanwhile, after the scan, the sonographer is evasive and tells Hayley that her doctor will be in touch. Calling at the medical centre, Hayley finds out that she has a blockage in her bile duct. As she demands the doctor tell her what that could mean, will Hayley's worst fears be realised?

Elsewhere, under pressure from Eileen and Mandy, Paul begrudgingly apologises to Lloyd. Reluctantly, Lloyd accepts his apology.

Also, when Audrey concedes that the salon flat could do with a makeover, Maria is embarrassed as Marcus instantly comes up with a list of all that needs doing.

Coronation Street charmer Rob Donovan places the luckiest bet of his life next week, but his good fortune leaves Peter Barlow facing financial ruin.

As fans already know, a new storyline sees Peter decide to offer the most competitive odds in town at the bookies, needing a quick fix to improve custom.

At first Peter's risky plan goes well, but ruthless Rob (Marc Baylis) later decides to push him to his limits by placing a £500 accumulator bet.

Peter accepts the big gamble, knowing that he'll be bankrupt if Rob is successful. However, his worst fears are soon realised as Rob has a run of good luck and secures a £35,000 win.

When it becomes clear that Peter can't afford to pay, Rob is incredulous and threatens to take legal action - which could mean that Peter will lose the bookies forever.

Chris Gascoyne, who plays Peter, commented: "It's sad. He's been a bookie for 12 years now and he's been his own boss - he's got some sort of status within the community as a business owner. It's kept his family going and him as a man too.

"Even though he has lots more going for him in his life, the thought of losing his bookies makes him feel as though he'll lose everything. Peter feels that he may lose Carla too, which is his deep insecurity. When Peter comes crashing down, the world loses its colour."

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, July 19 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
