Shear bravery ... Lesley Dunlop shaves off her hair for Emmerdale storyline
EMMERDALE actress Lesley Dunlop has shaved her head to play brain tumour victim Brenda Walker.
Fans have seen Brenda refuse treatment for the condition, scared it would change her personality and fail to save her life.
But after being persuaded by her family, Brenda has had a successful operation.
Lesley told TV Biz: “I’m really proud of Brenda’s storyline so far and although shaving my hair off was a big decision, I don’t feel brave.
“I’m extremely fortunate not to be in the position of all those people who are living this life – they are the brave ones.”

The social services have already been around to Debbie's place after Sarah complained that her mummy is missing a lot and if she is selling booze illegally that a minor drinks maybe that is why Andy is given the kids full time
Cain is covering up for Adam

Its probably just me on me own, but I kinda hope Andy and Debbie end up together for the sake of the kids first and then something more serious for them both.
Coming up in Emmerdale, Belle Dingle is rushed to hospital after drinking Debbie's dodgy vodka.
When rebellious Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) finds a box of Debbie's booze, she helps herself and starts getting drunk. Debbie then finds Belle in a state and lets the teenager go back to her place for a while, wanting to give her time to sober up before facing Zak and Lisa.
Debbie (Charley Webb) later arrives home to see how Belle is getting on, but is horrified to find the schoolgirl unconscious and lying in a pool of her own vomit.
Unable to wake Belle up, Debbie immediately calls for an ambulance and sends Sarah to get help. Sarah then brings Debbie's ex Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) to the scene, and the village villain immediately clocks the vodka bottle as one of Debbie's.
As Belle arrives at the hospital, she is rushed through to the treatment room but it doesn't look good.
Although Cameron is aware that Debbie is to blame, he doesn't want to cause any more trouble for her. However, vengeful Robbie Lawson doesn't feel the same way and later tells the Dingles that Debbie mixed the lethal blend of vodka herself. Will the family turn against Debbie for good?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Tuesday, June 25 at 7pm on ITV.

Tuesday
A frustrated Belle finds a box of vodka at the Dingles' and helps herself. Later, Debbie finds Belle drunk. Feeling guilty for how she treated her the day before, Debbie tells Belle to go back to Tug Ghyll where she will meet her. She promises to help Belle sober up and resolve things with her parents.
When Debbie arrives home later, she finds Belle unconscious and lying in a pool of her own vomit. Worryingly, Debbie can't get her to wake up. A scared Debbie calls for an ambulance whilst sending Sarah to get help. Sarah finds Cameron, and when he arrives at Tug Ghyll, he clocks the vodka bottle to be one of Debbie's. Once at the hospital, Belle is rushed through to the treatment room, but it doesn't look good...
Meanwhile, Declan tells Katie that all he has means nothing without having her to share it with. Katie remains unconvinced, believing him to be purely motivated by money. She tells him she will take him up on his offer, but Megan doesn't trust Katie to keep quiet about the body at the glamping site.
Elsewhere, Pollard and Val learn of Kerry and Dan's dalliances. Later, they break the news to Amy, but reassure her that soon they will all be in Portugal, far from Kerry and her antics.
Wednesday
Charity is uneasy with how bad Debbie is taking it about Belle's situation, and she is also suspicious of Cameron's involvement. She soon puts two and two together and realises that the vodka was one of Debbie's. Cain and Charity are livid as they listen to an exhausted Lisa and Zak praising Debbie for her quick actions.
Everyone wills Belle to wake up and they all worry about the long-term problems she could now have. The doctor advises the family they are looking at the risk of brain damage as the vodka was contaminated. Debbie finally makes her confession - this is all her fault. Sure to feel the wrath of the Dingles, will anyone come to comfort her?
Meanwhile, a weak Brenda returns from hospital. She is happy to have her friends and family around her, who praise how well she is doing. In the toilets, the reality of the situation sets in when she brushes her hair and it comes out in her hands...
Elsewhere, Megan worries that Declan is in denial about his feelings. The cold, hard businessman seems to have returned.
Also today, Pollard suggests that Amy and Victoria should go to Portugal together to do a recce. They are both delighted at the prospect. Later, Nikhil listens with interest as Pollard talks to David about selling the B&B, and an idea begins to form...
Thursday
A malicious Robbie takes delight in letting Zak, Cain and Diane know that it was Debbie who mixed the lethal blend of vodka herself. He adds that she had told him: 'Double the amount, double the money.'
Robbie sticks the knife in further when he tells the two fathers how proud they must be. One of them has a daughter who hates the world so much she sells poison, and the other hates herself so much that she drinks it. Robbie leaves the pub knowing they now think the very worst of Debbie - his revenge is done.
Debbie faces the full wrath of her family
Later, Cameron warns Debbie how Robbie has stirred it with Zak and Cain, and her mind races at what to do. Belle soon arrives home from hospital weak and weary, but she is shame-faced in front of her family, believing she has been an idiot. Soon Debbie arrives to a cool reception and faces the full wrath of her family. Their love and sympathy has gone. Has Debbie alienated herself from her family forever?
Alone and upset, Debbie heads to collect her children from Andy. He isn't happy to see her and fresh from hearing Robbie's rumours, he turns her back into the street, keeping the children with him. In the shadows, Robbie lurks watching and smiling.
Meanwhile, Brenda tries to remain upbeat about losing her hair, but Bob tells Gennie not to evade the issue - it's better for them to face it head on. Later, Gennie and Brenda have a bonding moment when Gennie styles Brenda's hair for her. Brenda then confides that she has decided to marry Bob.
Elsewhere, Chas asks Katie why she is staying put and not galloping away with her horses. Later, Katie tells Declan that she has changed her mind over the agreement - she wants out sooner.
Also, Kerry knows she's not welcome and tells Bob that she will leave his house.
Debbie continues to pound her fists on Andy's door, shocked that he has turned her away from her children. She sees Robbie across the street and in a fury rushes over to attack him. Diane is forced to come between the pair as Debbie swears that she will kill Robbie for what he's done.
Later, an angry Debbie tries again to talk to Robbie in the pub, but it falls on deaf ears as he doesn't care. But Cameron does and soon he has Robbie in his sights and he is not very happy at all. Charity talks to Debbie and forces her to face up and accept what needs to happen.
Meanwhile, Gennie doubts Brenda's wisdom of springing a surprise wedding on Bob without asking him first. When Nikhil starts looking into whether it's even possible, he soon learns that it can't happen due to the licensing of a wedding. Although Gennie wants to feel relieved, she knows Brenda had her heart set on this.
Elsewhere, Bob consoles Dan over Kerry, not realising that she hasn't yet told Dan it's over. Dan suddenly realises the situation. Not only has Kerry left, but she has taken his van Hettie too. Just as Dan thinks all hope is lost, Kerry and Hettie drive back into the village. Kerry is proud to have made just one small change to the vehicle. Will Dan want Kerry or his newly-adorned van back?
Also, Belle is packing for a holiday camp with Lisa and they make up their differences.
Finally, Declan plays hardball with Katie - they have a contract and she signed it, so he won't let her out of it until it suits him. Cross with her shackles, Katie starts flirting with Adam to irritate her husband.
Friday
Lonely without her children and upset with her situation, Debbie takes solace in a bottle of vodka before hitting The Woolpack for some stiff doubles. Chas and Diane despair as they see what she is doing to herself, but Debbie won't be told.
Stubborn and alone, Debbie alienates herself even further and Cameron is required to help her leave the pub. Zak spots the pair in the street and rescues Debbie to take her back to the Dingles' homestead. Sobering up, Debbie is forced to face up to what she has become.
Meanwhile, a hungover Katie wakes at Andy's house, although Adam has slept on the sofa. Adam wonders where he stands, suspecting that he was just used to make Declan jealous. Katie heads to work, but is incensed by Declan's arrogance when he tells her how they always row but get back together straight away - it's just how they roll as a couple.
Fuelled by Declan's expectations and lots of alcohol, Katie decides to make her point to Declan. She seduces Adam for a second night then drops a quick call in to Declan, telling him to drop over to see her shortly at Andy's as 'she wants to talk'. Katie then heads off with Adam and waits for the big entrance of Declan. Will it prove her point?
Elsewhere, Brenda is downbeat to have had her surprise wedding dreams shattered. As she tries on wigs ready for when she will have no hair, Gennie privately vows to try and make her surprise wedding a reality.
Also today, Moira makes it clear that Andy can't have the kids at work as it is too disruptive. Andy debates the problems of single parenthood if he does keep the kids from Debbie.
Finally, Bob is fed up with Nikhil working at the café, but finds a lucky way out through David
