Coronation Street star Ben Price has backed his character Nick Tilsley to have the last laugh in his upcoming troubles with half-brother David.
David hatches a secret plan to ruin Nick's life later this month after finding out about his one-night stand with Kylie.
Shocked to realise that his wife's unborn baby may not actually belong to him, David (Jack P Shepherd) keeps quiet as he wants to bide his time and get revenge.
However, asked about David's chances of taking on Nick, Price told TV Times: "Nick would win. You have to remember, he's Brian Tilsley's son. David thinks he's nasty, but Nick can be worse.
"Nick knows David can be a bit nutty, but doesn't consider him that much of a threat."
David's first act of revenge is to trash Nick's flat. Stirring up trouble, he then convinces Nick that Peter Barlow may be to blame.
Price continued: "Nick thinks he's having a run of bad luck. He believes he's been burgled when the flat is trashed. Then he thinks Peter is behind it."
David will even hope to ruin Nick's marriage to Leanne as he steps up his schemes, but whether his ruthless plot will be successful remains to be seen.
Coronation Street airs David's discovery on Monday, June 17 at 7.30pm on ITV.

This is the moment that Coronation Street's David Platt considers jumping off a cliff after discovering his wife Kylie's shocking secret.
David (Jack P Shepherd) has spent the past five months blissfully unaware that Kylie had a one-night stand with his half-brother Nick at Christmas. However, he finally learns the truth when he overhears Kylie discussing her betrayal with Gail.
Unsure of how to react, a heartbroken and furious David decides not to confront any of his family while he ponders his next move.
David even heads off for a romantic night away with Kylie as he tries his best to pretend that everything is fine.
Unfortunately, this is easier said than done as David is tormented by thoughts of Kylie and Nick on the short holiday. Needing time to think, he heads off for a walk alone and finds himself on the edge of a cliff.
Distraught and confused at how to deal with the betrayal of the woman he loves, David looks down at the huge drop and wonders whether to jump…

David stands on the edge of a cliff.
As revealed earlier this week, David then receives an unexpected phone call from his stepson Max. Hearing Max's voice hits home for David as he realises how much his family means to him and decides not to end it all.
Although David wants to stay with Kylie, he's not letting Nick off the hook so easily and soon begins planning his revenge…
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, June 19 at 7.30pm on ITV.
Coronation Street villain Karl Munro is left delighted next week as Stella Price sets a date for their wedding.
Karl (John Michie) is keen to tie the knot with Stella as soon as possible, and things seem to be going his way when the pub landlady makes their marriage plans official.
Michelle Collins, who plays Stella, told itv.com: "Now that things have been sorted out and Gloria has come up trumps, Stella decides that she does want to marry him. Silly woman!"
Stella ploughs ahead with the wedding plans as she is keen to give Karl something to look forward to when he seems withdrawn and distant.
What Stella doesn't know is that Karl is actually plagued with guilt after starting the Rovers blaze and killing Sunita Alahan.
Collins continued: "There is something not right with Karl and she can't put her finger on what it is. She's worried about him. She thinks it could be post-traumatic stress - of course she has no idea it is guilt."
Discussing Stella's own state of mind, she added: "Everything she has been through has made her more vulnerable, it is like she needs Karl more than ever. She is blinkered by love. If he did leave her at this moment in time, she would fall apart.
"She totally trusts him, it is almost like he has suddenly become this god-like figure in her life. She was always very independent, but now she has become very dependent on him."
Coronation Street viewers will see Stella announce her plans on Monday, June 17 at 8.30pm on ITV.

A heartbroken David sits alone outside. When he sees Nick and Leanne, his anger boils but he's too numb to do anything. At home, Kylie is growing impatient as she waits for David, keen to head off and make the most of their night away.
Eventually David arrives to confront Kylie, but when an excited Max rushes to him revealing Kylie's surprise, will David be able to shatter the little boy's dream?
Meanwhile, gathering her family and friends around her in the pub, Stella makes a shock announcement which leaves a guilty Karl with a smile on his face.
