Meanwhile, EastEnders schemer Michael Moon uses Alice Branning's crush on him to his advantage, convincing her to do his dirty work.

Michael (Steve John Shepherd) asks for some help from Alice later this month after seeing Scarlett with an expensive nanny hired by Janine.

Not happy with his baby daughter being cared for by a stranger, Michael is keen to see whether Alice (Jasmyn Banks) can make Janine change her mind.

Determined to support Michael so that he'll appreciate her more, Alice hatches a plan by snatching Scarlett in the Square gardens while the nanny is distracted on her phone. Alice then takes Scarlett back to Janine's, claiming that she found the youngster unattended.

An angry Janine immediately dismisses the nanny and is won over when Alice asks to take over the role.

Michael is delighted that Alice has found a way to get close to Janine and Scarlett, so he repays her with a tender kiss. How far will he go to get Scarlett back?

Monday
Michael disapproves when he sees Scarlett with an expensive nanny hired by Janine. He's quick to confront Janine over this, but she tells him to get used to it and that he should be pleased someone is caring for their child. Michael then urges Alice to try her luck with making Janine see sense. Unfortunately, Alice's intervention doesn't work either as Janine remains unrepentant.

Alice sets up the new nanny.
Determined to help Michael so that he'll appreciate her more, Alice hatches a plan by snatching Scarlett in the Square gardens while the nanny is distracted on her phone. Alice takes Scarlett back to Janine's, claiming that she found the youngster unattended. An angry Janine immediately dismisses the nanny and later asks Alice to take over the role. Michael is pleased with the good news, but Alice is disappointed as she realises that he's only interested in her ability to keep tabs on Janine.

Meanwhile, Lola is suspicious when Sharon sends a new cot for Lexi. She's convinced that it's just a tactic to keep her quiet and confronts Sharon over this. Later, Lola is anxious as Trish is paying a visit, but things seem to go well. As the day continues, Billy asks Lola why she is behaving so strangely around Sharon. Unable to keep things to herself any longer, Lola blurts out the truth to Billy.

Elsewhere, Kirsty is unsettled when she receives repeated phone calls all day. Max is suspicious over what's going on, but is soon distracted when Kirsty changes the topic of conversation to her 'pregnancy'.

Also today, Kim reveals that she has let one of the B&B rooms out as a massage room, while Ian tells Denise that she'll need a raincoat to deal with all the cash he'll soon be splashing on her - prompting her to return later in the raincoat and very little else

Tuesday

Billy is not completely convinced by Lola's accusations against Sharon, believing that the recent incident may have been a one-off. Determined to prove that this is an ongoing issue, Lola urges Billy to move the time of his date with Ava so that he can be at the family dinner tonight, promising that she can prove she is right. Later at the dinner party, Lola seizes a chance to snoop around when Sharon is busy serving canapés, but she is caught by Phil while she is rooting through Sharon's handbag. Lola quickly makes up an excuse, but when Sharon finds out, she realises what the suspicious teenager is up to.

As the family gathering continues, Billy starts to realise that Lola might be right when he sees Sharon pour some wine away, thinking that she doesn't want to mix pills and alcohol. Billy is further concerned when he sees Sharon stumble, but he doesn't want to tell Phil what's going on as he fears it could jeopardise their chances of getting Lexi home. Once Billy has left for his date, Lola finds herself in a stand-off with Sharon and Phil when she tries to take Lexi from the house. To make matters worse, Trish then turns up…

Meanwhile, Ava has asked Dexter to be present for her date with Billy. However, when Dexter finds out that the time has been pushed back, he thinks that Billy is messing Ava around already and refuses to attend. Ava makes it clear to Dexter that this dinner is important to her and she is making a lot of effort, so Dexter takes heed and arrives home just in time for the meal. When Ava hears a knock at the door, she nervously prepares herself to invite Billy inside - but is shocked when she opens the door to a face from her past.

Elsewhere, Kirsty lies to Max by claiming that she has already had her 12-week scan. She adds that she didn't want to pay for the pictures as the scan didn't show much anyway. Feeling put out that she went without him, Max tells Kirsty that he has booked a private clinic to get a 3D scan, which they can go to together. How will Kirsty get out of this one?

Also today, Ian offers Jean a trial for a possible job as a chef at Le Square, while Bianca and AJ come up with a plan to give Carol and Masood some alone time together - giving them the chance to take the next step in their budding relationship

Thursday

Shirley arrives at the family dinner.
Seeing that Trish's arrival has thrown Lola, Sharon decides to capitalise on this by inviting her to join the dinner party. Things become even more awkward when Shirley turns up, intent on causing trouble. Determined not to lose her cool in front of Trish, Sharon invites Shirley to stay too. Shirley tries her best to wind up Sharon with a variety of digs, which includes bringing up her past relationships. Sharon stays calm at first but as Shirley starts getting to her, Phil tries to chuck his bitter ex out. When Lola also tells Shirley straight, she realises she has no supporters in the house and leaves.

Later, alone with Lola, Sharon thanks her for standing up to Shirley and assures her that what she witnessed last week was just a one-off. Lola finally starts to believe her, but once all the dinner guests have gone, Sharon pulls out some pills and takes some. It's clear that her addiction is far from over.

Ava is stunned to see Sam, Dexter's father.
Meanwhile, Ava is stunned to see Dexter's father Sam on her doorstep. She sends him away while she gets Dexter out of the house. Once Dexter has gone, Sam returns and explains that his father has died, which has made him reflect on his life. He now regrets walking out on Dexter and wants to build a relationship with his son. Feeling that this isn't a good idea, Ava tries to get rid of Sam but is stopped in her tracks when Dexter returns.

Ava claims that Sam is someone she knew from a long time ago, and Sam plays along by introducing himself as Jacob. After a brief chat with 'Jacob', Dexter is impressed and thinks he is a much better catch for Ava than Billy. Later, Ava catches up with Sam and warns him to stay away from her and Dexter.

Elsewhere, Carol and Masood agree to take their relationship to the next level following an evening out, Billy is left disappointed when Ava cancels their date due to the stress of Sam's arrival, while Jean tries to impress Ian, Lucy and Bobby with a Chicken Surprise dish as she battles to secure a job at the restaurant

Friday

Sam has stayed the night in the B&B and Kim is very taken with the new arrival. When Kim takes Sam along to the café for breakfast as there's no food at the B&B, he sees Dexter there. Dexter is still convinced that 'Jacob' is a much better match for Ava than Billy, so he schemes to get them together by asking them both to meet him for a drink in The Vic that evening.

Dexter realises Sam is his father.
Later, Ava arrives at the pub and isn't pleased to see Sam and Dexter together. Dexter is confused by the tense atmosphere between them, but all becomes clear when an argument erupts and Ava uses Sam's real name. Dexter is shocked to realise that he is standing in front of his father, and storms out of The Vic as he is hurt by his mum's betrayal.

Meanwhile, Lucy leaves Ian with a blank cheque so that he can pay one of the café's suppliers while she is out. However, Ian is left facing a new predicament when the builders at the restaurant burst a pipe. As Sam is a builder, Ian convinces him to take on the job, but it ends up being a lot more expensive than anticipated. Ian takes the last £300 from the stash he found, but needs even more money and ends up using the blank cheque that Lucy left him. Ian is plagued with guilt after stealing from his own daughter.

Elsewhere, it's Alice's first day working for Janine. She gets off to a clumsy start as she is nervous and intimidated around Janine, but she later calms down when she realises that Janine is just as anxious about dealing with Scarlett. Alice ends up giving Janine a few bits of advice to help her out. Later, Alice reports back to Michael on how the day went, but he is clearly still using her for his own gain.

Also today, Billy is disappointed when Ava seems uncertain about rearranging their date and Phil and Shirley both mock him, while a jealous Bianca tries to ruin Carol's date night with Masood by asking her to stay and look after the kids.
