Rivals Roxy Mitchell and Kat Moon may be forced to put their differences aside to thwart an attempted robbery at the Queen Vic next month.

Roxy, played by Rita Simons, finds herself in a potentially dangerous situation when she is busy managing the pub on her own, All About Soap reports.

When Roxy is rushed off her feet on a busy day at The Vic, she fails to notice that a dodgy builder named Jozef is trying to steal from the till.

By chance, an eagle-eyed Kat is watching and steps behind the bar to stop Jozef in his tracks.

Although Kat has done a good deed, it's quickly thrown back in her face as a furious Roxy thinks that she is stepping onto her territory.

Reminding Kat that she's no longer with Alfie, Roxy insists that it's not her place anymore and she should leave.

Kat is stung by Roxy's ungrateful behaviour, but her hurt turns to alarm a short while later when she sees Jozef heading back inside The Vic - clearly planning more trouble.

Upstairs at the pub, Roxy is putting the takings into the safe when Jozef suddenly appears at the doorway for a second attempt at lifting some cash.

All alone in the frightening situation, it seems that Roxy's fate depends on whether Kat is willing to head back inside and investigate despite the blonde's previous verbal attack.

Kat was dumped by husband Alfie at the end of last year after he was unable to forgive her affair with Derek Branning.

Alfie quickly moved on to Roxy, but her fear that he has unresolved feelings for Kat has caused problems for their relationship.

EastEnders airs the robbery scenes on Tuesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 9 at 7.30pm on BBC One.

EastEnders' Roxy Mitchell is left terrified next month as she is the victim of a robbery attempt at the Queen Vic.

In charge of The Vic while Alfie is out, Roxy (Rita Simons) faces a crisis when a dodgy builder named Jozef becomes determined to steal the pub's takings.

Jozef's first attempt at getting the cash sees him approach the till while the bar staff are distracted. Fortunately, he is stopped in his tracks by Kat Moon when she spots what he's up to.

Although Kat has helped out by thwarting Jozef's plan, the good deed is thrown back in her face as Roxy is furious to see her behind the bar following her split from Alfie. Roxy is quick to point out that it's not Kat's place anymore and tells her to leave.

Outside the pub shortly afterwards, Kat senses that more trouble is ahead when she spots a purposeful Jozef heading back inside The Vic.

Soon afterwards, it's clear that Kat was right to be worried when Jozef follows Roxy upstairs as she heads off to put money in the safe.

Roxy stands frozen on the spot as Jozef appears in the doorway and tells her to hand over the cash.

Trying to hide her fear, Roxy pretends that Alfie will be back any minute, but Jozef can see through her lies and grabs Roxy's arm. Will Kat come to Roxy's rescue?

Monday

Michael is excited as he is supposed to be spending time with Scarlett today, but his good mood changes when he realises that Janine has let him down. When Michael goes to investigate, there is no sign of Janine at home or at Butcher's Joints, and he soon lets his frustration out on Alice when she happens to be in his firing line. Later, Michael finally catches up with Janine, and she leaves him stunned by telling him that she has changed her mind - she doesn't want him to have any access to Scarlett.

At the same time, Alfie asks Roxy to keep quiet about their attempts to try for a baby. Later, however, Kat arrives at the pub and spots Roxy's leaflet about getting pregnant. When Roxy clocks this, she asks Kat not to say anything. An upset Kat goes home in need of a friend, but she is greeted by a seething Michael, who has a go at her. Kat decides to leave Michael alone and he finally breaks down over everything that's happening.

Meanwhile, a desperate Sharon asks Lola for her pills, but Lola explains that she has already thrown them away. Sharon promises that she'll tell Phil the truth, but when she next sees him, he is annoyed with her for forgetting to pick up Dennis. Not wanting to rock the boat further, Sharon continues to lie.

Elsewhere, Dexter urges Ava to spend time with Cora as they'd agreed. Ava finally agrees and goes to meet Cora, but it's immediately clear that they have nothing in common. In the end, Ava admits to Cora that the only reason she came was because of a deal with Dexter. As Ava leaves, both Cora and Dexter are disappointed over how things went.

Also today, the Mitchells hear that the final hearing for Lexi will take place in two weeks' time, while Lucy remains annoyed over Ian's business plans but she does offer a solution to his waitressing problem.

Tuesday

Alfie is annoyed with Roxy when he finds out that Kat knows about their attempts to try for a baby. Soon afterwards, Roxy is put in charge of The Vic while Alfie is out, but it's a particularly busy day and the staff are rushed off their feet. Kat offers to help behind the bar, but Roxy politely declines. However, Kat ends up stepping behind the bar anyway when she spots Jozef - one of Ian's contractors - trying to steal money from the till. Although Kat has done a good deed by stopping Jozef, a furious Roxy insists that it isn't her place anymore and asks her to leave.

Roxy immediately regrets how she reacted, but doesn't have time to go and apologise due to the busy pub. Outside, Kat spots Jozef heading back inside The Vic and senses trouble. However, she isn't sure whether to risk annoying Roxy further by going back inside. Not long afterwards, Roxy is alone upstairs as she puts money into the safe - but she's terrified when she spots Jozef in the doorway…

Kirsty remains trapped in her lie.
Meanwhile, Kirsty is put in another awkward situation when Dot asks the sex of the baby. Spurred on by Kat, Kirsty realises that the best solution is to just tell Max the truth. Later, back at the flat, Kirsty is just about to confess to Max when Dot arrives with the booties she has made for the baby. Max is overjoyed when Dot says that she reckons they're having a boy. Spotting Max's reaction, Kirsty decides to keep lying as she doesn't want to break his heart.

Elsewhere, Whitney, Lauren, Carol, Bianca and Poppy are all keen to be waitresses at Ian's new restaurant. However, Ian turns Carol and Bianca away as they don't fit his plans for a young and sophisticated workforce. Lucy takes charge of the interview process and gives Poppy the first job. Whitney is also successful, but she pulls out of the race when she realises that Lauren needs the job more.

Also today, Poppy tells Alice that she has arranged a surprise mystery date for her, Michael decides to continue fighting for Scarlett despite Janine's games, Ray hears that Sasha's mum has been in a car accident, while Jay promises to take Abi away after her exams and lands Dexter in it by telling Lola that Dexter will pay for her so they can come along also.

Thursday

Roxy stands frozen on the spot as Jozef tells her to unlock the safe. However, Kat soon bursts in and interrupts. Jozef grabs Roxy's arm, but Kat holds her nerve and tries to convince Jozef that he is making a terrible mistake. Roxy's fear intensifies when Amy walks into the room, but Jozef eventually sees the error of his ways and leaves. A grateful Roxy thanks Kat for her help, and Kat insists on helping behind the bar while Roxy calms down and settles Amy.

Later, the two women work well together as they're side-by-side at the pub. However, when Kat wants to help clear up at the end of the night, Roxy immediately presumes that she is only hanging around to see Alfie. Kat is stung and points out that she was only trying to help.

Roxy regrets putting her foot in it yet again and sits in the Square gardens for a while. When Janine walks past, she ends up in a row with Roxy and makes remarks about her relationship with Alfie. However, Roxy snidely remarks that she and Alfie are fine and Kat has moved on - with Michael! Angry, Janine marches to Kat's house and her worst fears are confirmed when she spots Michael comforting Kat.

Lauren tries to kiss Tyler.
Meanwhile, Whitney gathers her friends in The Vic to celebrate Lauren's new job. However, Lucy sparks more trouble by purposely flirting with Joey to wind Lauren up. In private, Tyler reassures Lauren by pointing out that Joey isn't interested in Lucy. However, when Joey walks towards them, Lauren grabs Tyler and kisses him. Witnessing this, Whitney storms over and demands to know what is going on. Whitney then makes it clear that she is no longer going to help her out, revealing that she let Lauren win the job in the restaurant. A smug Lucy then offers Whitney the job.

Elsewhere, Carol becomes insecure about her relationship with Masood as she thinks everyone is laughing at her. She cancels a date claiming to be unwell, but Tiffany manages to get the pair communicating with each other again by inviting Masood over to help with her homework.

Also today, Alice and Tamwar have an awkward date after being set up by Poppy and Fatboy.

Friday

Ian is shocked when he pays a visit to the restaurant and sees that a huge amount of work still needs to be done. The builders claim that they need more money to get the job done, which leaves Ian worrying that the restaurant won't be open on time unless he gets the cash together quickly. Soon afterwards, Ian approaches Janine for help but she refuses to offer any more money. Instead, she warns that he needs to sort the problem or she wants all of her cash back immediately.

Ian feels like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders, but Jean encourages him to start some of the work himself until he finds a solution. When Ian agrees, Jean even joins him to help. Later, they come across a small safe hidden under the floor. Out of sight from Jean, Ian breaks it open - but whose is it, and what will it contain?

Meanwhile, Roxy apologises to Kat for her behaviour yesterday but makes it clear that she doesn't want Alfie to find out what happened with Jozef. The ladies are soon interrupted by Janine, who is on the warpath over Kat's 'relationship' with Michael. Kat denies that anything is going on, but Janine drops Roxy in it by revealing that she was the one who confirmed it. Roxy tries to apologise to Kat yet again, but it looks like Kat may now tell Alfie everything…

Elsewhere, Alice tells Michael how selfish and horrible he is when he takes his latest bad mood out on her, Fatboy shows his considerate side when Poppy thinks they don't know enough about each other, while Jay is trying to make money for his trip away and convinces Phil to buy them a car that they will do up and split the profits.

Michael Moon's situation goes from bad to worse on EastEnders tonight (May 6) as Janine Butcher continues to play games over their baby daughter Scarlett.

The businessman starts the day in a good mood as Janine (Charlie Brooks) has agreed to let him spend some time with Scarlett. However, he is soon left disappointed when his estranged wife fails to bring the youngster over as arranged.

When Michael (Steve John Shepherd) finally catches up with Janine, she declares that she has changed her mind and doesn't want him to have access to Scarlett due to his bad temper. She adds that he may end up with an injunction if he doesn't leave her alone.

At rock bottom, Michael hits the bottle for comfort and pushes away his loyal allies Kat Moon and Alice Branning. Has he given up hope?
