Is this ridiculous Lola/Lexi/Phil storyline never going to end? It was unbelievable to start with, now it is just mind-numbingly boring and in the realms of complete fantasy. The Wizard of Oz is more believable.

Over on EastEnders, baby Lexi is at the centre of another drama as she suddenly falls ill.

Lexi's mother Lola (Danielle Harold) spots the warning signs on one of her scheduled visits to her daughter, telling Billy and Phil that the youngster is boiling hot and something isn't right.

As Billy and Phil panic, Lola stays calm and collected as she takes control of the situation and calls an ambulance.

Later in A&E, Billy (Perry Fenwick) feels left out when he is asked to wait outside, separating him from Lola and Phil.

As everyone waits anxiously for news on Lexi's condition, Phil (Steve McFadden) is impressed by Lola's mothering skills and shares an important piece of information with her.

Phil explains that he's recently heard from social worker Trish, who wants to meet with them to discuss a plan on giving Lexi back to Lola within the next couple of months.

It seems that Phil has finally accepted that he'll have to hand Lexi back over - will his good intentions last this time?

EastEnders legend Dot Branning faces a frightening experience next week as she heads to court and fights to keep her home.

Dot (June Brown) has recently landed herself in trouble with the local council as the presence of unauthorised lodgers in her house led to a Housing Benefit fraud investigation.

As Dot's day in court arrives, her solicitor explains how she got herself into the messy situation. However, Dot then interrupts and possibly scuppers her own chances by telling the room that she doesn't feel the truth is being told.

Soon afterwards, Fatboy (Ricky Norwood) and Poppy (Rachel Bright) arrive to give Dot some moral support. Fatboy feels compelled to say a few words, but he fails to make the impression that he wanted to.

Fatboy is disappointed that he wasn't able to help more, but his words spur Dot on and she finally finds her voice, telling the court all about the situation she has found herself in. But will this be enough for Dot to keep her home?

Monday

As Liam continues to recover in hospital with Bianca by his side, DS Bain lets them both know that Chris has been arrested in relation to the stabbing, while Kane and the other gang members have also been brought in for questioning. Bianca tries to assure Liam that everything will be okay, but he is far from convinced that it's over. Later, Bianca starts to push away her loved ones as she refuses their help. However, when Kat, Carol, Jack, Ray and Whitney all persist with her, Bianca is finally grateful for the help she is being offered - it's a relief to know that she's not on her own.

Back at the hospital, Bianca's good mood is short-lived when DS Bain arrives for a private word with her. He explains that while Chris has been refused bail, Kane and the rest of the gang have been released. Furious, Bianca takes a deep breath and prepares to tell a fearful Liam the news…

Ava wakes up on the sofa.
Meanwhile, Ava has been staying at the Butcher residence after leaving the estate, while Dexter is at the Brannings'. When Ava goes to see Dexter, he is furious as she suggests moving out of Walford for a fresh start. Tanya and Cora both ask Ava to move in with them, but Ava comes up with a better plan and tells Dexter that they are going to move into the B&B.

Elsewhere, Trish pays a visit to Phil and explains that social services are preparing to increase Lola's visits to Lexi, with a view to returning Lexi to Lola in a couple of months. She asks him to keep quiet about this until the news is officially shared with Lola and Billy. Later, when Lola and Billy receive a letter inviting them for a meeting with social services, Phil can't resist winding Billy up by suggesting that they may have found out about Lola snatching Lexi. Soon afterwards, Lola heads upstairs to check on Lexi but then rushes back into the room with the baby in her arms - she is boiling hot and something is not quite right with her…

Also today, Sharon's wedding dress is delivered but she thinks that it looks hideous, Jack seems strangely affected by a letter he receives in the post but he hides it in a drawer unopened, while Fatboy asks Reverend Stevens to talk to Dot about her recent troubles.

Tuesday

Lola is desperately worried about Lexi but she handles the situation well. Taking control of the situation, Lola loosens Lexi's clothes, gives orders to Phil and Billy, and phones NHS Direct for advice. Soon afterwards, an ambulance is sent to the house and Lexi, Lola and Billy are soon on their way to the hospital as Phil follows in his car.

As they all anxiously wait for news in A&E, Phil admits to Lola that Trish wants to meet with them to discuss a plan on giving Lexi back to Lola. Later, Lexi is diagnosed with a nasty dose of gastroenteritis and when an overwhelmed Lola holds Lexi, she starts to sob. Phil comforts and reassures her - everything is going to be okay.

Meanwhile, Bianca is devastated when Liam tells her that he has arranged to move in with Ricky. Liam reckons that it's for the best, as he's still a target for the gang and he doesn't want Bianca to get caught in the crossfire. However, Bianca fights to keep her son in Walford by explaining that they will be looked after by the police, showing him a special mobile phone that he can use if he is ever in danger. Taking this on board, Liam agrees to return home to the Square and see how it goes.

Elsewhere, Kat tells Jack that she has received a letter about Ronnie's release from prison. Kat says that although she has forgiven Ronnie, she doesn't want her anywhere near her or Tommy. Jack fails to mention the unopened letter he has received from Ronnie, which he can't bring himself to open.

Also today, Dot is petrified as she wonders how her day in court will go tomorrow, Michael agrees to meet with Kat to discuss financial support for Tommy when she threatens to get solicitors involved, Ava enjoys spending time with the Brannings when Dexter and Abi scheme to get them all to have dinner together, the tension between Tanya and Kirsty continues as they both attend the gathering, and Jack is chuffed when Dennis asks if he can call him 'dad'.

Thursday

It's the day of Dot's court appearance, but she is already resigned to losing her home. She also insists on attending court alone, turning down the support of everyone who knows about her worrying situation. As Dot arrives at court, the enormity of the situation begins to hit her so she is relieved when she sees Ian. Ian explains that although Dot doesn't want any support, he has hired a solicitor as she cannot do this alone.

Soon afterwards, the case begins but Ian can see that it isn't looking good for Dot. Fatboy and Poppy arrive for moral support just as the judge begins to sum up. Interrupting the proceedings, Fatboy asks if he can say a few words, but although he tries his best for Dot, he fails to make the impression he wanted to. However, his words do spur Dot on and she finally finds her voice, telling the court all about the situation she has found herself in. Will this be enough for Dot to keep her home?

Meanwhile, when Cora hears what Dot is going through, she gathers everyone in The Vic for a buffet so that they can all be there for her regardless of the outcome. Max and Tanya help out with the food, but Kirsty is jealous of their closeness when she sees them laughing together. Deliberately winding Tanya up, Kirsty comments that Dot should have paid her bills, but she isn't happy when Max sides with Tanya.

Later, Sharon sees that Max keeps glancing at Tanya. Unable to keep it to herself, she tells him that Tanya regrets throwing him out when she did, leaving Max reeling…

Elsewhere, Roxy receives a phone call from Ronnie and learns that she'll be released soon. When Roxy looks for Jack, she finds him about to burn the unopened letter he received from Ronnie. However, she urges him not to destroy it - pointing out that if he doesn't read the letter from Ronnie, he'll always be left wondering.

Friday

When Kirsty sees Ava looking at the flat she had her eye on, she immediately tells Max that he needs to put a deposit down by the end of the day. She soon sees Tanya and makes a point of telling her that she and Max will have a place of their own on the Square very soon, but Tanya doesn't rise to it. At the same time, Ava tells Billy about her plans to rent the flat. She admits that they don't have many belongings after what happened, so Billy visits a few of the locals to see if they can donate any items for Ava.

Later at the B&B, Ava is annoyed when she finds out that the estate agent has let the flat go. Soon Billy arrives with Tanya, all buoyed up with the items he has collected. Ava is touched, but has to explain that she didn't get the flat. However, they are all stunned when Billy assures her that she did - he overheard the estate agent talking to someone about putting a deposit down, so he got in there first. Ava wonders how Billy got the deposit together and she quickly works out it was Tanya, who did it not just for her but also to prevent Kirsty from getting the flat.

At the same time, Kirsty is livid after losing out on the flat. In a foul mood, she argues with Max and brings up how Tanya is always there. Max is firm, telling Kirsty that he'll always share a special bond with Tanya as they have the kids and she wouldn't know what that feels like. As they row further, Kirsty drops a bombshell - she's pregnant.

Meanwhile, Kat is concerned when she thinks that Michael may be treating their meeting today as a date. Deciding to play the game, Kat gets glammed up for the meeting. However, when Kat arrives and sees the effort that Michael has made, she tells him that she isn't interested in sleeping with him - she is only there for Tommy. The pair finally agree that it's time to do things right, admitting that all they want is to be good parents to their children.

Elsewhere, Max and Tanya both agree to be witnesses for Jack and Sharon's wedding, while Liam returns home from hospital but finds it difficult to adjust.

EastEnders businessman Jack Branning feels torn next week as his ex-wife Ronnie makes contact with him.

Jack (Scott Maslen) is busy preparing for his upcoming wedding to Sharon Rickman (Letitia Dean) when a letter from Ronnie arrives out of the blue.

Unsure whether he wants to read what Ronnie has to say, Jack shoves the unopened letter into a drawer.

Later in the week, it's impossible for Jack to forget about the situation as Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) tells him that she's heard Ronnie will be released from prison soon.

Kat explains that while she has forgiven Ronnie for the tragic baby swap ordeal, she doesn't want her anywhere near her or Tommy.

Roxy (Rita Simons) also learns of Ronnie's impending release when she receives a phone call from her sister.

Heading off to find Jack, Roxy visits the boxing gym and walks into the office just as he's planning to burn the letter from Ronnie, which he still hasn't opened.

Jack admits to Roxy that he doesn't want to reopen old wounds, but she suggests that he'll always be left wondering if he doesn't read the letter. What will Jack decide?

Kat Moon is a woman on a mission next week as she tries to convince former flame Michael to provide for their son Tommy.

Kat (Jessie Wallace) is frustrated when Michael repeatedly refuses to offer any financial support for Tommy, so she threatens to get solicitors involved unless he starts being reasonable.

Realising his back is against the wall, Michael (Steve John Shepherd) reluctantly agrees to meet up with Kat to discuss this properly.

Kat is pleased that Michael has finally seen sense, but her relief is short-lived when she begins to fear that he is treating their meeting as a date.

Deciding to play the game, Kat glams herself up before arriving to see Michael at his place.

However, when Kat sees that Michael actually seems genuine for once, they both agree that they're doing this for Tommy and nothing else.

After both vowing to do what's right for Tommy moving forward, the pair have a heart-to-heart about their past relationships and how all they want now is to be good parents to their children. Is this a turning point for Kat and Michael?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Friday, April 5 at 8pm on BBC One.
