Corrie will have a schedule change in the week of the dramatic Rovers fire.
One of the year's biggest storylines kicks off on Monday, March 18 as the pub is set ablaze by an arsonist, but there will be no Friday night double bill that week.
The change is due to ITV showing England's World Cup qualifier against San Marino from 7.30pm on Friday, March 22.
Coronation Street's missed episodes are expected to be broadcast as an hour-long edition on Sunday, March 24, but the timeslot won't be confirmed until next week.

Paul Kershaw (Tony Hirst) has organised the strip with his fellow firefighters to raise money for charity, but when all of his colleagues suddenly pull out due to food poisoning, Eileen sets about recruiting some local replacements.
Tommy Duckworth, Rob Donovan, Jason Grimshaw, Karl Munro and Doctor Carter all agree to get involved in the event, and there is a huge turn-out at the Bistro as the Rovers Return is closed due to a problem with the electrics.

The lads entertain the audience.
However, as the lads get their strip under way and prepare to reveal all, Stella Price is one audience member who isn't in the mood and heads home early. As she relaxes in the bath, a fire takes hold in the cellar…
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, March 18 at 8.30pm on ITV.
Corrie's Stella Price will see ex-partner Karl Munro in a whole new light after he saves her life in the upcoming Rovers Return fire.
Michelle Collins and John Michie, who play the former couple, were last week spotted filming a shock kissing scene on location - suggesting that they could reunite on screen within weeks.
The build-up to the possible reconciliation has now been revealed, with Corrie bosses confirming that Stella is saved by Karl when her pub goes up in flames next week.
With The Rovers closed due to an electrical fault, Stella is relaxing upstairs in the bath when the blaze begins.
Collins told itv.com: "The lights go out first of all, before she starts to see and smell smoke. At that point, I think she genuinely believes she's going to die. She tries to open the window, but it's jammed. She can't get down the stairs either."
Revealing how Karl comes to Stella's rescue, the actress continued: "He is her knight in shining armour! But then they start to think they're going to die together - there is that point where she just thinks: this is it."
When the pair defy the odds by managing to make it out alive, all previous animosity is forgotten as Stella is bowled over by Karl's actions.
Collins explained: "As far as she's concerned, he saved her life. There was always love there between them, but when he does this and nearly dies for her, it definitely brings them much closer together."
Stella's younger boyfriend Jason Grimshaw, meanwhile, finds himself under scrutiny as early investigations into the fire point to the electrical fault in the cellar. Jason and his employee Tim Metcalfe had worked on the issue a few days earlier.
Collins said: "Initially they do think it's Jason, and many people are pointing the finger at him, so it's difficult for Stella not to think it too."
Coronation Street airs the Rovers fire scenes on Monday, March 18 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.

Paul and Toni enter the inferno
Corrie star Michelle Collins has said that the age gap between Stella Price and Jason Grimshaw could tear the couple apart.
The actress's Weatherfield character embarked on a relationship with Jason late last year, defying disapproval and gossip about her decision to date a much younger man.
However, speaking on ITV's Loose Women today (March 11), Collins admitted that Stella is starting to see the downsides of her latest romance.
Collins explained: "It's not going smoothly, but he does move in this week. I think it's been fun, but now the age gap is starting to have an effect, which I think it probably does.
"I think Jason is 28 and Stella's 50, so it's quite a big gap. Jason is quite immature in a way, isn't he? A lot of guys that age are very immature."
Praising co-star Ryan Thomas, who plays Jason, she continued: "People love him. Men and women absolutely love him. I've had such fun. He's such a lovely boy."
Stella has been tipped to reunite with ex-partner Karl Munro within the next few weeks, seeing him in a new light after he rescues her from a huge fire at the Rovers Return.
Collins added: "The fire absolutely tips the balance of everything, and everything changes."
Coronation Street airs the Rovers Return fire on Monday, March 18 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
How convenient that there are five firemen doing a strip five minutes away from where a major fire happens!! Talk about timing
why is sunita in the pub if it is closed?
Monday
With Stella's warning ringing in his ears, Dev tells Sunita that it's over between them. Blaming Stella, Sunita rages at her before hitting the bottle.
Later at the Bistro, the Full Monty night gets under way, but Stella is no longer in the mood and heads home. As she relaxes in the bath, a fire takes hold in the cellar. Is Stella's life in danger? And who else is in the building?
Meanwhile, Fiz tries to reason with Chesney. She wants him to see that Katy just made a mistake and it's not worth splitting up over. Will Chesney waver?
Elsewhere, the strain of being a single mother starts to show as Kirsty shouts at a crying Ruby. On edge, she asks Julie to babysit, claiming that she's spending the evening with her mum.
The fire takes hold, setting off the alarm. In the cellar, Sunita regains consciousness and tries to escape, but is overpowered by smoke and collapses. In the bathroom, a terrified Stella hears the alarm.
As the Full Monty reaches its climax and the lads are about to reveal all, Norris rushes in and reveals the pub is on fire. Gloria, Eva and Leanne are hysterical, realising Stella is trapped.
Soon afterwards, Karl is horrified to see Stella banging on the window. Paul holds Jason back, insisting they wait for the fire brigade, but Karl sneaks round the back and lets himself into the flame-filled pub.
As Karl gets to Stella, however, the burning stairs give way… Has the fire claimed its first victims?
Meanwhile, Katy begs for Chesney's forgiveness and asks him to give her a second chance. Will Chesney agree?
Elsewhere, Ruby won't stop crying and Julie is at her wits' end. When she phones Kirsty, the schemer falsely claims that her mum has been taken ill and asks Julie to keep Ruby until the morning.
Wednesday
As The Rovers burns, onlookers are shocked to see Karl's face at the window with Stella. Jason grabs the ladders from the builders' yard, but it's Paul and Toni who insist on entering the burning pub.
The fire brigade arrive and find Sunita, but as they pull her out unconscious, a massive explosion rocks the street. One casualty is about to be confirmed - have Paul and Toni got Stella and Karl out in time?
Meanwhile, having heard about Gail's housing predicament, Kylie asks her to move back to Number 8, swearing that she loves David and will never cheat on him again. Will Gail agree?
Elsewhere, Tina spots Kirsty watching the fire from the window of Number 9.
The next episode of Coronation Street airs on Sunday, March 24.

Michelle Collins suffered* *anxiety attacks and terrifying flashbacks while she filmed Corrie’s dramatic fire storyline.
Speaking for the first time about a traumatic childhood event, the soap star says shooting the *dramatic scenes brought back the day she almost died in a blaze.
In tomorrow night’s episode Michelle, as Rovers Return landlady Stella Price, is trapped upstairs as flames engulf the pub.
Today she tells how the London flat where she was playing with a friend was gutted by an inferno while she and her sister were trapped.
She says if it hadn’t been for her brave sister’s quick thinking she would have been burned alive.
“I was four and my big sister Vicky was only five but she saved me from the worst kind of death and she has the scars to prove it,” said Michelle, 50. “The *Corrie storyline has brought it all back clearer than ever. We both could have died.
“We lived with Mum on the bottom floor of a tall townhouse that was broken up into flats. We used to go and play with a little boy who lived upstairs.
“It was soon after Vicky’s birthday and she’d brought her cards to show him.I don’t know whether there was an argument or he was just being horrible but he was playing with a box of matches and suddenly started setting fire to the cards.
“I remember her pulling me away from the flames but the boy’s mum made feather hats for a living, which were stuck together with paraffin glue. That stuff is highly flammable and suddenly one of them went up in flames too.
“Soon the fire was all up the walls and catching the furniture. I remember the unbearable heat of the flames as they spread and the speed with which the whole room started blazing.
“I was terrified. It was so hot and full of smoke but we were stuck because there was no way out... we couldn’t see.
Inferno: Rovers Return goes up in flames
ITV
“I’ll never forget that feeling of being trapped. It was horrific.
“Vicky dragged me over to the corner of the room where she made me get down on my hands and knees and shelter under a little table. I was scared but I trusted her so I did as she said.
“She told me to stay there while she went to get help. But before she got back firemen arrived and carried me out through the flames. I assumed Vicky had told them where to find me.
“It was only out in the street where my mum was waiting that I realised my sister was still inside. She’d tried to get help to me but got stuck in the flames.
“Another man who lived in the building put a wet towel over his head and went back in for her and dragged her out. We were both very lucky and I still hate thinking about how it could have ended.”
Michelle’s brush with death at such a young age meant she developed a fear of fire. “From that day I was really paranoid about anything to do with fire but somehow it seems to have followed me around like a curse ever since.
“I was at school a couple of years later and our classroom was set alight while we prepared for our nativity play.
“Then when I was in my 20s, I was in a play called Burning Point at the Tricycle Theatre in Kilburn which burned down the morning after opening night.
“I remember the charred remains, *sitting on the floor where the *dressing rooms should have been, just crying.
“After that I tried to convince myself I’d had my three bits of bad luck when it came to fire, but I’m still really cautious about it. It’s my only fear. I’m fine with heights and flying. I’m a professional so I just throw myself into it.
“But when it comes to candles and matches I’m really frightened. I don’t like being too close to open fires, barbecues or bonfires. It’s something that’s deep inside me now.”
Burnt into her memory: Scenes for tomorrow night's episode brought back the horror
ITV
Before Christmas last year, when soap chiefs told Michelle that Stella was going to be left fighting for her life after a major fire, her anxieties came to the surface.
She says: “The director started to tell me what the scenes would involve but I didn’t want to know too much beforehand. I knew it would have to involve real fire because Corrie always does things as realistically as possible.
“Back home that night the horrors of the fire when I was a child came rushing back. But I knew I had to face my fear.
“I’m an actress, it’s my job. So I decided to give it a go.”
The fire episode took six weeks to shoot and was directed by Tony Prescott, who also orchestrated the famous tram crash in 2010.
“It was like being part of a Hollywood movie. All the special effects and everything are so amazing. We used a real controlled fire in an old warehouse in Trafford, which was absolutely horrendous.
“Because of all the fumes we had to wear masks when we weren’t on camera and a lot of the time the flames were only about two feet away from me.
“I was being dragged around like a rag doll covered in soot from head to toe, so it was really challenging. The heat was so intense and at one point even the stuntman said, ‘I didn’t realise it was going to be that close!’
“In one scene, Stella is trying to get down the stairs with fire everywhere but she’s trapped and can’t get down. That was really tough because it brought my own experiences flooding back. I was terrified.
“But it looks incredible though, so I’m *really glad I did.”
And Michelle says after everything her character has been through: “It’ll take more than a fire to get rid of Stella!”

I hate seeing all the misleading images on the tv mags or other mags for next week about who lives and dies in the fire and they all show Stella when it is obvious Sunita and Toni are the ones who die
I think having Stella and/or Karl, Gloria, Eva also perish would have been much better

Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has teased that the Rovers Return fire scenes are full of emotion.
The actress, who plays Eva Price in the ITV soap, said she imagined her own mum was in the blaze to make the episodes as realistic as possible.
"The only way I could do it was to imagine that it was my own mum going through it. I'm quite close to Michelle [Collins] anyway, so *seeing her up there at the window was really upsetting," Tyldesley told the Daily Star Sunday.
"The only difference was that if it had been my mum I would absolutely have had to run into that building to try and save her - but obviously that wasn't scripted for Eva.
"She's hysterical on the cobbles and *desperate for her mum to be rescued."
She added: "We were filming from four in the afternoon until four in the morning. It was very high emotion. There was lots of crying and screaming but to be part of such an historic event really was *incredible.
"Seeing the Rovers on fire was just really, really weird. I remember standing in front of it with some of the other cast and we were just gobsmacked."
Speaking of her new contract, Tyldesley concluded: "I've signed up to stay *until next year, which is really exciting.
"I had a meeting with our new boss Stuart Blackburn the other week and he told me that I was going to be very busy over the summer - but that's all I know.
"It's really exciting. I can't wait to see what they've got planned for Eva. She is such a great character and I'm really happy."
I think having Stella and/or Karl, Gloria, Eva also perish would have been much better
I agree 100%

Sunita in the Rovers Fire
Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
Coronation Street star Jimmi Harkishin has said that Dev knows Sunita doesn't love him.
Viewers will see Dev tell Sunita (Shobna Gulati) that their relationship is over tonight. Dev makes the decision following a conversation with Stella (Michelle Collins) last week in which she revealed Sunita would never love him.

Sunita tells Dev how she regrets cheating on him
Speaking to the Radio Times, Harkishin said: "The problem is that he's already promised Sunita that he'll sell the shop and the house and that they'll move with the kids elsewhere to start a new life where nobody knows them.
"But when Stella questions his decision, he puts the ultimate question to Sunita: he asks her if she really loves him."
He continued: "There is great sadness when he asks her that question. Dev's not stupid, but Stella's asked him a question that he already knew needed to be asked, but it's sometimes easier for other people to be frank about it. If he doesn't ask now, it will be asked a few years down the line, when the fog of love has cleared.
"He wants to know the truth, beyond how much he adores her and how much of a wonderful mother she is and beyond him understanding why she did what she did with Karl. He just wants to know whether she loves him, but she can't say that she does."
However, Harkishin revealed that Dev doesn't actually intend on ending their relationship.
"When he says it's over, I think what he means is that the idea of them selling up, starting somewhere else and living happily ever after is over," he explained.

Sunita in the Rovers Fire
"He's not doing that anymore because now he knows it's not real. He realises that they'll leave the Street, uproot the kids miles from home and yet she's still not going to love him, so what's the point?
"What he's saying is that he'll carry on, he'll still love her, but he can't give everything up for her. If she doesn't love him, he can't leave and go and live with her because it hurts and he'll constantly be looking over his shoulder wondering what's going on."
Sunita will soon find herself trapped in the Rovers Return fire which breaks out tonight.
Speaking of filming the explosive storyline, Harkishin said: "I can't think of it as being as big as it actually is – it's really overwhelming! I just have to knuckle down and give it my best. It's a massive privilege because the writing is so fantastic.
"Filming has been hard though – we've been doing day and night shoots. So it's been difficult and certainly the hardest thing I've done."
Coronation Street airs these scenes tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
Corrie star John Michie has admitted that the soap's dramatic fire storyline was tough to film.
The actor's alter ego Karl Munro will be among the characters left trapped in the flames when a blaze rages through the Rovers Return in this week's episodes.
Karl races into the burning building to save ex-partner Stella Price (Michelle Collins) when he realises that she is inside.
Cast and crew filmed the interior scenes for the fire at a replica of the Rovers Return, which was built in a warehouse.
Speaking on BBC Breakfast today (March 18), Michie teased: "It's an exciting time. There's five eps on this week and the whole five stuck together is like a little film - or a big film, I should say!"
He continued: "When there's one big story, all of the other stories tend to link to it in some way. There's quite a bit of excitement on the Street!
"[We were] shooting at night and the whole set's been recreated at a warehouse, and we travelled there. It's a different work situation and it's fun."
However, asked whether the fire scenes were "hot, emotional and nasty" to film, Michie replied: "It was all those things! Everyone's so organised with health and safety. Real SFX did the fire, and they did Doctor Who. They know what they're doing, but it is still quite scary when you're quite close to those flames.
"It's the smoke as well. I think the crew suffered more than us because they're there all the time - at least we're whisked out at the end of every scene to change a costume or whatever! But the crew are there all the time. A week in there was enough!"
Coronation Street kicks off the fire storyline tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
Dev Alahan will be left devastated when he and his children bury their mum Sunita thinking she is responsible for the Rovers Return fire.
Digital Spy reported earlier that Sunita will be wrongly accused of arson after she dies on screen early next month.
Last night (March 18), viewers saw Karl Munro (John Michie) commit arson at the pub in a desperate bid to split up Stella Price and Jason Grimshaw.
Sunita will be put in the frame after the pub's spare set of keys are found in her handbag, leaving her children believing she committed the crime.
Dev will be left even more devastated when Asha and Aadi refuse to dress nicely for their mothers' funeral because they believe she is a bad person.
Tomorrow's episode (March 20) sees Sunita rescued from the blaze and rushed to hospital, where she is fighting for her life with on-off partner Dev keeping a vigil at her bedside.
Coronation Street continues on Wednesday (March 20) at 7.30pm on ITV.
Corrie star Jimmi Harkishin has revealed that he has never played heartbreak before now.
The Dev Alahan actor explained that his latest storyline, which will see Sunita die as a result of injuries from the fire, is a new challenge for him.
"I'm really enjoying playing things that, as an actor, I've never really played before. I've not really played heartbreak before," he told the Radio Times.
He continued: "You would never wish this story on anyone in real life but it's given me a chance to explore different emotions.
"The script has been beautifully written. I hope I do justice to the writing."
Harkishin also revealed that he will miss working with his on-screen wife Shobna Gulati (Sunita).
"We've worked together for so long. She's been my wife and mother to my children on screen for a very long time. I'll miss her."
Coronation Street continues on Wednesday (March 20) at 7.30pm on ITV.
