I'm getting her confused with that other new girl that's started. They look very similar.

There's something a bit strange about her.

She seems downright weird to me...and very clingy.

Home and Away star Terri Haddy has said that she hopes her character's upcoming rape storyline has an impact on viewers.

Rosie faces a terrifying ordeal when she is raped by a boy from her school during a date with him, TV Week reports.

Rosie will then struggle to cope in the aftermath of her attack, as she plucks up the courage to report it to the police.

Haddy hopes that her alter ego's ordeal will raise awareness among teenage girls who are watching.

"I was really excited about this storyline because I really hope the teens are listening and watching closely," she said.

"I want them to look at it and realise that it's ok to say 'no' and that girls shouldn't feel guilty or blame themselves.

"It's a very sensitive topic and you don't want it to be viewed the wrong way, so you need to be really careful."

Haddy also revealed that Rosie will initially blame herself for the ordeal.

"It hits her that if she pretends it never happened, then it could happen to someone else," she continued.

"They were kissing, so she feels like she brought this on herself. I hope it explains to girls that you don't have to be afraid to say 'no' in that situation.

"Girls might think they have to do what the guy is asking, but they don't have to go along with it."

Home and Away fans in the UK will see these scenes in the summer.

Home and away star Teri Haddy has admitted she was shocked when she found out her character Rosie's latest plot.

Rosie is horrified when she discovers she is pregnant as a result of being raped, in an upcoming storyline.

Speaking to TV Week, Haddy said: "When I heard it, my heart nearly stopped beating. I just thought, 'Poor Rosie, will she be ok? She's got another journey to go on and it's going to be a tough one for her'."

The realisation that she is expecting comes just as Rosie is starting to find her feet again after being sexually assaulted by fellow Summer Bay high school student Mullens.

Rosie starts working at the diner and is enjoying her first shift, when she experiences a dizzy spell and faints whilst serving Alf.

It is when she is telling doctor Sid her symptoms that he suggests she may be pregnant.

Haddy said: "She does a pregnancy test at the Walkers' house and it is positive. Her reaction is just disbelief.

"You think when you are young that it won't happen and certainly not in such a horrible way."

Haddy added that Rosie will face the tough decision about what to do concerning the pregnancy.

She said: "She has to look at all the options and think about what is best for the future."

Surely they would have given her the morning-after pill at the hospital? :hmm:

Roo and sasha took her to the hospital like straight away as soon as they found out so I really don't see how this could happen.

Haddy's character Rosie also bows out from the programme in episodes due to air in Australia next week.

However, refusing to rule out a future return for her alter ego, Haddy said: "The way Rosie leaves the Bay is really positive, and yes, it will leave the door open for her to come back later on."
