Just back from my audition. All we had to do was take a written test of 25 questions and then speak to the camera for about 2 minutes about ourselves. In all the other auditions I've been to they've actually played some of the game, but not this time.
Anyway, they said that if we are selected for the programme they will contact us within a month, If we have not been selected we will not hear from them again......

ITV Daytime has commissioned a third series of its afternoon quiz show Tipping Point, presented by Ben Shephard.
Following the success of the first two series of Tipping Point, ITV has commissioned 70 more episodes of the 60 minute programme from RDF Television.
A game of knowledge, skill and tactics, Tipping Point is centred around a machine filled with counters worth thousands of pounds.
Players must answer questions to win turns on the machine. Get a question wrong and the machine won’t pay out resulting in the player with the least amount of money at the end getting eliminated.
The last player standing goes head to head with the Tipping Point machine and they’ll be focused on just one counter – the golden jackpot disc. Again, answering questions for the right to play the machine, they’ll win a big cash sum if they can make it release the jackpot counter.
Commissioning Editor for ITV Factual and Daytime, Diana Howie said: “We are delighted with the continued success of Tipping Point and very much looking forward to further building its status as a key ITV Daytime quiz show.”

I filmed my show on Saturday but I can't tell you what happened as I had to sign a contract of confidentiality. The new series starts on 20 May. I don't know when my programme will be broadcast but I'll let you know as soon as I know.
Well done and I look forward to watching that episode especially to find out how you did :D

They say the date is subject to change if something major happens that will make them change their schedules that day.....

I'm going to miss it! Wednesday is baby sitting day and my grandson Harry takes part in an after school Arts & Crafts club on Wednesdays and doesn't finish till 4:00. I have to pick him up in Colchester and then come back with him to Clacton. We get back between about 4:45 and 5:00.
It's a good job I already know what happens!!!

I used to watch this every day on ITV Player, but stopped when Five Minutes to a Fortune started. Will definitely tune in for parkerman's episode though.

I certainly will, moonstorm. I haven't got over that naked dance from last year yet!
Thank you everyone for your congrats. As you will have seen it was a real cliffhanger at the end of the third round. I was so relieved when I saw those four counters drop! It was great doing it but very hard to keep quiet for nearly two months!
Will someone please fill me in on how great our man did? and Parkerman, I can also naked dance in Germany on your way around the world

Well done Parkerman :D Enjoy travelling. Just watched the episode on ITV Player before it expired. When Carl was telling the counters to go left and go flat, I was like, "Go right! Ride!" :lol: Thoroughly enjoyed the episode.

I received a phone call from tipping point offering me an audition in 2 weeks, I was told I would receive an email with details aout the time and place etc but I have not heard anything since. How long was it before you heard anything about yours?

Tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m., on the W HD TV Channel, there is a repeat of probably the best episode of a TV Quiz Show ever to have been shown on British television.
It is Tipping Point series 3, programme 17. A not to be missed televisual experience......Just thought I'd mention it! :thumbsup:
