There are a couple of small schedule changes for Emmerdale and EastEnders fans to take note of in the week commencing Monday, March 4.

On Thursday, March 7, both soaps will clash for 15 minutes again as Emmerdale will be airing an hour-long episode from 6.45pm rather than a split double bill. The change is due to football coverage.

As we reported previously, tonight's (February 21) dose of Emmerdale will also be an hour-long edition airing from 6.45pm.

Meanwhile, as fans will have seen in our spoiler section, the week commencing March 4 is a five-episode week for EastEnders. The extra episode has now been confirmed for Wednesday, March 6 at 8pm.

EastEnders hardman Phil Mitchell makes a shocking decision next month as he deliberately sabotages Lola Pearce's chance to get more access to her baby daughter Lexi.

When Lola (Danielle Harold) heads to court seeking more contact sessions with Lexi, it seems that things are finally going her way as she manages to make a good impression at last.

Lola gives a speech to the judge explaining that she'll do whatever it takes to be a good mum to Lexi, while social worker Trish also fights her corner by explaining that she has made great progress.

However, just as things are looking good for Lola, a desperate Phil (Steve McFadden) steps in and finds a way to scupper any plans the court may have had to increase the teenager's time with her daughter.

Losing her temper, Lola retaliates with a furious outburst, while Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Billy (Perry Fenwick) sit disgusted over Phil's actions.

After Lola's rant, the judge rules that Phil will continue as Lexi's kinship foster carer until the next hearing.

Left devastated and angry, Lola fears that she'll never get Lexi back unless she resorts to drastic measures of her own…Lola loses her temper in the court room. Phil scuppers any plans the court may have had to increase Lola's time with Lexi.
Billy tries to calm Lola down after the hearing.

Monday

It's the day of Lola's hearing regarding Lexi, and she is feeling extremely nervous. Phil is also anxious when he learns that his solicitor is unwell, so someone else will be attending in his place. When Trish arrives to speak to Lola, the young mum struggles to deal with the pressure and rushes out of the house. However, when Billy finally tracks Lola down at Booty's, she has calmed down following some words of encouragement from Poppy. She is now ready to fight for her daughter.

Phil scuppers any plans the court may have had to increase Lola's time with Lexi.
Later at the court, Trish tells the judge that Lola is making great progress and would like to increase her contact sessions with Lexi. Even though she's been advised not to, Lola then gives a speech of her own to the court, explaining that she desperately wants to be Lexi's mum and will do whatever it takes.

It seems that things are finally going Lola's way, but then Phil's brief interrupts the proceedings. Under Phil's instructions, he scuppers any plans the court may have had to increase Lola's contact sessions. As a devastated Lola loses her temper, Sharon and Billy are left disgusted by Phil's behaviour…

Meanwhile, Patrick loses his temper with his carer Magda, but a concerned Max arrives in the nick of time and tells Magda that he's there to spend some time with Patrick. When Patrick confides in Max about what happened with Denise last week, Max advises him to apologise - but Patrick wonders whether this will be enough. Later, Patrick finally finds the courage to apologise to Denise, who has been avoiding the issue. Denise then promises Patrick that she won't ask Magda back - the three of them can make it work on their own instead.

Elsewhere, Michael tells Alice to sell some of Janine's clothes as he cannot afford to pay her, Tanya advises Jack that his relationship with Sharon is worth fighting for, while Dot receives the letter she's been dreading in the post but she decides to ignore it.

Tuesday

After Phil's cruel stunt and Lola's outburst in court, the judge rules that the existing arrangement will continue until the next hearing, with Phil remaining as kinship foster carer. Everyone is disgusted by Phil's behaviour, but he ignores the disapproval. Trish tells Lola that she can fight her case against Phil at the next hearing, but Lola knows that she can't wait that long.

Back on the Square, Billy promises Lola that he's going to fight her corner against Phil, so he heads over to the Mitchell house to confront him. Struggling with not knowing what's happening, Lola soon sneaks over to Phil's. An angry Billy is trying to talk Phil round, but Phil declares that Lola will never get Lexi back if he has anything to do with it. Resigned to her fate after hearing this, Lola makes a drastic decision. As Phil and Billy walk into the hallway, Phil notices the front door is open and Lexi is missing…

Meanwhile, Jack confronts Sharon about the recent problems in their relationship. Jack tells Sharon that either she wants to be with him or she doesn't, but Sharon reckons that he wants everything on his terms. Sharon goes to leave, but Jack riles her by standing in her way, declaring that the reason she's with him is because she wants a real man. With tensions running high, the row turns to passion and the pair start tearing each other's clothes off. Afterwards, it seems that their might be a chance for the couple - but then Jack tells Sharon that he wants her to cut all contact with Phil…

Elsewhere, Patrick realises that Ian has feelings for Denise and encourages him to ask her out. Ian isn't sure whether Denise feels that way about him, but Patrick brands him a chicken. Will Ian be spurred on to confess his feelings for Denise?

Also today, Dot notices that things are going missing in her house and is adamant that Cora is behind it as she might still have a key.

Wednesday

With Lola and Lexi missing, Phil is furious over the latest turn of events. Needing some help, Phil calls Sharon and she can't help herself from getting involved, leaving Jack furious that she is going running to Phil yet again. Phil suspects that Billy is helping Lola with her runaway attempt, but Billy denies it and turns the tables on him - pointing out that Phil is to blame after his attempts to control everything. When Sharon arrives, she also tells Phil that he has brought this on himself, but she does agree to help him look for Lola while Billy waits at home.

At the same time, Lola explains everything to Dexter at The Arches, wanting some help. However, when Ava finds out that Dexter has been in contact with Lola, she takes him to Phil's. When Sharon and Phil find Dexter on the doorstep, he eventually admits that Lola is at The Arches. Sharon and Phil rush over there, but when they arrive, there is no sign of her and the petty cash tin is empty. With Lola now in a cab with Lexi, they're too late…

Ian buys Denise some chocolates.
Meanwhile, Ian nervously asks Denise out on a date, but he messes up by pointing out that they're both getting on a bit and neither of them will get any better offers. With Denise far from impressed, she then starts flirting with a delivery man who has arrived at the Minute Mart instead. Ian is desperate to make it up to Denise, but she tells him that she now has a date with the delivery guy. As Denise heads out the back to get her coat, Ian follows but accidentally lets the door close, locking them both in. Neither have their phones with them, and nobody hears their cries for help!

Elsewhere, Dot confronts Cora over food going missing from her fridge, but Cora denies having anything to do with it. Cora can sense that Dot is really upset, but Dot doesn't admit her fears over losing her home.

Thursday

Phil wants to call the police after Lola's disappearance with Lexi, but Billy convinces him that they still have a chance of talking her round. As Lola has left her phone behind at The Arches, there's no way of getting in contact with the troubled teen, so Sharon instead investigates the last number she dialled. The trio realise that Lola called Alexa, so they all drive to where Alexa is staying. After taking money from them in return for information, Alexa explains that Lola is heading to a hostel. Phil doesn't believe her and he searches the house to be on the safe side, but with no sign of Lola, they head off disappointed.

Unbeknownst to them, Lola is in the house after all but is hiding. Lola explains to Alexa that she called her because she had nowhere else to go. Unfortunately for Lola, the police soon arrive as a party gets in full swing at the house. Scared, Lola runs away again.

Phil and Sharon kiss.
At the same time, Phil and Sharon head to the hostel, while Billy returns to the Square just in case Lola returns. Sharon is still furious with Phil, telling him that he is a monster for how he's treated Lola. Suddenly, Sharon remembers a park that Lola talked about from her past. When they arrive there to investigate, there is no sign of Lola, and Phil finally starts to feel guilty. Opening up to Sharon, Phil insists that he isn't a monster - he's still the man she fell in love with. The pair end up sharing a kiss…

Meanwhile, Denise and Ian bicker as they remain trapped in the back room of the Minute Mart. When Denise makes a comment about Ian's breakdown, she realises that she has hit a nerve. Ian then confides in Denise about his recent problems, and she holds his hand to comfort him. After discussing their past relationships, Denise and Ian finally kiss.

Elsewhere, Cora insists that she is staying at Dot's house until they catch the thief, as she is determined to clear her name. The two ladies fall asleep on the sofa together, but are awoken when they hear a noise in the kitchen. Dot is horrified by what she sees!

On his way home from school, Liam sees a gang running from a transport officer. It's clear that Liam already knows them, so he tells them where to hide and they thank him. Later, Liam sees the gang again outside McKlunky's. They ask him why he works there, so he explains that he needs the money. Kane slips Liam some cash and tells him to stick with them…

Meanwhile, an oblivious Poppy tells Dot that she's glad everything is sorted with the council. Finally facing her fears, Dot opens the letter that she recently received. Rattled, Dot tells Poppy that she needs to move out, but Poppy doesn't want to leave her. Dot's letter states that the council have started court proceedings and there's a chance she could lose her house. She is left terrified by the warning.

The police with Kim to see what's happening at the Minute Mart.
Elsewhere, Kim decides to call the police when Shirley informs her that Denise's bed wasn't slept in last night. Later, officers arrive at the Minute Mart and they hear banging coming from the store room, as Ian is still trying to attract attention. When the police open the door, they just see Ian as Denise hides. Later, when Denise sees Kim again, she is worried as Kim assumes that she was with a man. Keen to keep her new-found connection to Ian a secret, Denise is pleased when Kim guesses that it was the delivery man.

Also today, Jack is wound up when Michael points out that Phil is in a good mood and he reckons a woman is responsible. Back at home, Jack tells Sharon that he won't let her make him look like a mug - as far as he's concerned, she made her choice last night when she went off to help Phil. Dennis fears that he and his mum will have to leave Jack's place because of all the rows, but Sharon overhears Jack assuring Dennis that they'll work things out.

I thought all the scenes of her running around with the buggy was a bit lame, reminded me when Stacey and Bradley were trying to run from the cops,, really lame,, I really hope Lola just stays away for a while with the baby,, wonder howmuch money she got out of Phil's petty cash box,,or was it some of Michael's funny money ?????

The thought of Phil kissing Sharon makes me sick,, I also agree there is NO CHEMISTRY with Jack and Sharon ,,,talking about mis matched pairs .....

EastEnders' Denise Fox decides that her new romance should be kept secret in tonight's episode (March 8).

Waking up with Ian Beale after being trapped overnight in the Minute Mart with him, Denise (Diane Parish) suggests that they shouldn't tell anyone about their kiss for the time being.

Denise makes the decision as she's fed up with always being a source of gossip on the Square, so Ian (Adam Woodyatt) respects her wishes and they find a way to make sure nobody knows they've been together all night.

Later, Kim (Tameka Empson) confronts Denise about failing to come home, having called the police out of concern for her sister. Scrambling for a cover story, Denise lets Kim think that she's spent the night with the delivery man who caught her eye…
