Coming up on Coronation Street, viewers will be introduced to Faye Windass's biological father Tim later this month.

Actor Joe Duttine has been cast in the role of Tim, who is expected to shake up life for Faye's adoptive mother Anna in upcoming episodes.

The storyline begins when Anna notices that Faye (Ellie Leach) is starting to behave strangely. When she looks for an explanation, Anna discovers that Faye is meeting up with an older man after speaking to him on the internet.

Fearing the worst, Anna and Owen confront the pair, but Tim reveals that he is actually Faye's real dad.

Anna tries to lay down the law by making it clear that Tim is not welcome in the schoolgirl's life, but Faye has other ideas. Can a solution be reached?

Coronation Street star Natalie Gumede has revealed that her character Kirsty Soames will turn the tables on Tyrone Dobbs by formally accusing him of domestic violence.

Kirsty makes the shocking false claim against Tyrone (Alan Halsall) next week, in the dramatic aftermath of the pair's wedding.

Whether the ceremony actually goes ahead remains a closely-guarded secret, but either way, the truth comes out and Kirsty is furious when she realises that Tyrone only ever wanted to marry her to secure parental rights over baby Ruby.

During a major row at their family home, violent Kirsty goes to hit Tyrone at the top of the stairs but loses her footing and falls.

Badly injured, Kirsty is rushed to hospital but then uses the situation to her advantage, claiming that Tyrone is an abusive partner.

Gumede told itv.com: "She is angry and desperate and she sees this as the only way she can get revenge on Tyrone and keep Ruby. She is an ex-policewoman - she knows what to do to use the system to her advantage and sound credible.

"The whole stalking situation with Fiz has put her on a good footing with the residents, and also there have been occasions where people saw Tyrone shouting at her. She fell in the back yard once.

"It is all stacking up against him and she is manipulating it to her advantage - she is a very clever woman."

Asked whether Kirsty would be prepared to see Tyrone sent to prison based on her false allegations, Gumede replied: "As this story develops, she certainly seems determined to make him suffer and once she has started telling the lies, she seems to have no desire at all to come clean and clear Tyrone's name."

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.

Monday

It's the morning of the wedding and Tyrone is on pins, feeling terrible knowing the marriage is a sham.

As Tyrone waits at the church he starts to panic, fearing Kirsty has discovered all. However, when she arrives looking a million dollars, it looks like his plan has worked.

Meanwhile, Gail helps Nick out at the Bistro, but when Lewis tampers with the order and alters the amount of olives needed, how will Nick react to her 'mistake'?

Elsewhere, Faye feigns illness so she doesn't have to go to school, but Anna then catches her trying to sneak out of the house. What is Faye up to?

Also, Sally assures Sophie that she believes her story, not Jenna's.

Finally, when Rob and Tracy both climb into Steve's taxi insisting it's theirs, neither will back down. Have they met their match?

Kirsty and Tyrone return home to discuss their future life together.

Tyrone is visibly frightened as Kirsty makes it plain that she wants retribution for his actions. But did his plan work? Did the wedding go ahead, giving Tyrone parental rights over Ruby?

Meanwhile, Gail is stunned when Lewis tells her that he loves her and he'd like her to move to Naples with him, where they could run a small boutique hotel.

Elsewhere, when Anna discovers that Faye is missing, she looks through Faye's computer and is horrified to realise that she has gone to meet a man called Tim. Who is he?

Also, Mandy is fuming when Sally tells her to keep Jenna away from Sophie in future, while Rob admires Tracy's cheek

Wenesday

Kirsty is raging as she realises that Tyrone was only marrying her to get custody of Ruby.

Tyrone attempts to stand up to Kirsty, calling her a vindictive bully. As Kirsty pours her heart out about her violent upbringing, Tyrone is sympathetic, but when she goes to take Ruby, a row breaks out on the stairs.

Kirsty tries to hit Tyrone, but loses her balance and falls. She's rushed to hospital and devises a callous plan to use her accident to her advantage.

Tyrone is then left horrified as the police come calling…

Friday

Locked in a police cell, Tyrone is beside himself and desperate to see Ruby.

Kirsty makes a statement to the police, accusing Tyrone of being a dangerous and violent bully. But as the police question the couple's friends on the street, where will they point the finger?

Meanwhile, Anna tries to lay the law down to Faye to stop her from seeing her dad Tim.

Elsewhere, feeling terrible about Jenna being suspended, Sophie tells her that she's going to inform her boss that she instigated the kiss whilst Jenna was entirely innocent. How will Jenna react?

Also, Lewis does his worst as he attempts to drive a wedge between Gail and Nick. Moving in for the kill, he reiterates his offer of a new life in Italy. Will gullible Gail agree?

Tyrone continues to protest his innocence and lists all the injuries that Kirsty has inflicted upon him over the months.

Tina and Tommy also visit the station to make a statement. But will the police accept Tyrone's version of events?

Meanwhile, when Tim drops Faye at home, Anna lays the law down and sends him packing, telling him that he's not welcome in Faye's life. Faye is furious.

Elsewhere, Jenna is touched at Sophie offering to lie for her. But as she pours her heart out to Lloyd, admitting that she's gay and does have feelings for Sophie, will she realise she can't let Sophie take the fall?

Also, Lewis lies to Gail, telling her that the Italian hotel job is still available, but they'd have to find some money for accommodation. How will Gail react to this?

Coronation Street bosses have today (January 15) released full details and a picture preview of the huge storyline twists ahead for Tyrone Dobbs and Kirsty Soames.

The troubled couple's wedding day finally arrives next Monday (January 21), although Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is only going ahead with the ceremony to secure parental rights over his baby daughter Ruby before he dumps Kirsty for good.

Tyrone has managed to keep his deception under wraps so far, but show chiefs have now confirmed that Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) will discover his affair with Fiz Stape on the night before the wedding.

A show statement teased: "Devastated and furious, Kirsty has to make a decision on whether to go ahead with the wedding knowing what Tyrone is up to. Kirsty won't take this lying down, so expect many more surprises as this dramatic story unfolds.

"The action-packed episodes to be screened on ITV on Monday, January 21 are full of unexpected twists and turns - and even after Tyrone and Kirsty return from the church, the drama continues with tragic consequences."

Whether the ceremony actually goes ahead is being kept tightly under wraps, but it has been revealed that Tyrone and Kirsty will have a blazing row about the day's events once they arrive back home.

When Kirsty goes to hit Tyrone, she loses her balance and ends up crashing down the stairs.

After being rushed to hospital, Kirsty comes up with a plan to use the accident to her advantage - falsely accusing Tyrone of months of systematic domestic abuse.

I'm pretty sure you have pockets in your jeans, that would have been a quicker and safer hiding place than down the side of the sofa.

Well done. Gold star for your supreme levels of intelligence.

Coronation Street bosses have released a special new promotional shot ahead of Tyrone Dobbs and Kirsty Soames's dramatic wedding episodes.

Kirsty (Natalie Gumede (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/natalie-gumede/)) will make sure that her wedding day is one to remember for all the wrong reasons in tomorrow night's episodes (January 21), having discovered that Tyrone is having an affair with his loyal ally Fiz Stape.

On Friday, viewers saw Kirsty left devastated as she found Tyrone's secret phone, which contained evidence of his infidelity and his plan to leave her once he has parental rights over their baby daughter Ruby.

As teased in the picture below, Kirsty won't take this news lying down - and fans can be certain that she has revenge in mind after inviting Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) to the church…

It's clear that Kirsty is ready for a wedding day showdown, but exactly what she has in store for Tyrone (Alan Halsall) will be kept under wraps until the episodes air.

Desperate for the wedding to go ahead so that he can be happy with Fiz and Ruby, will Tyrone be able to convince Kirsty that she is the woman he really loves? Or will the ceremony be called off?

Whatever happens on the day, fans can expect much more drama for the couple in the weeks to come, as show chiefs have confirmed that a vengeful Kirsty formally accuses Tyrone of domestic violence - leaving him facing trial and fighting to clear his name…

Coronation Street airs Kirsty and Tyrone's wedding on Monday, January 21 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.

When Kirsty arrives, it's clear that she is ready for a showdown - but can Tyrone get his desperate plan back on track by convincing her that she's the one he really loves?

I think Natalie Gumede plays the role of Kirsty fantastically, great actress but I really wish they'd get rid of her character now, I cant stand her any longer! I keep wanting to kick my telly!! lol

Although I do think that if there isn't a happy ending for Tyrone in this it will piss a lot of people off. Plus if she was to get away with it, it doesnt set a great example for men that are going through domestic violence from their partners in real life. Soaps always have to play these storylines very carefully because there are organisations out there that help people in these situations and want people to see the positive end results if they choose not to suffer in silence - so if she isnt found out to be the scumbag she is and no consequences are dealt for her actions, then I think there will be people pretty annoyed that she was shown to get away with it.

Coronation Street's Tyrone Dobbs is disgusted this evening (January 25) as he realises the extent of Kirsty Soames's vengeful scheme against him.

Tonight's double bill sees Tyrone (Alan Halsall) left alone in a police cell for hours as the police make their enquiries, taking a statement from Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) and quizzing a number of the street's residents about the pair's turbulent relationship.

Later, when Tyrone is finally interviewed, he is stunned to hear that Kirsty has accused him of a long-running campaign of physical and emotional abuse.

To make matters worse, Eileen and Deirdre have both backed up Kirsty's story, convinced that she is the victim in the situation. Does Tyrone have any hope at all of clearing his name?

All Eileen and Deirdre can give is hearsay evidence. Fiz, Tina and Tommy have seen actual physical evidence. I think their testimony would carry far more weight...oh, I forgot, this is Soapland.....
