You dont approve then Lizann? I think she fits in well with Albert Square, down the hard neck west end, i could imagine her standing at the bar drinking most men under the table while trying to keep the trout pout afloat lol From interviews she has done it seems as if she may be a long running addition to the cast but as for years upon years additions...the jury is still out.....

EastEnders bad boy Max Branning will fall into the arms of secret wife Kirsty again, paparazzi pictures have indicated.

Images obtained by The Sun show a bloodied Max (Jake Wood) kiss Kirsty (Kierston Wareing) inside his car.

However, it is unknown whether Max is cheating on Tanya or his fiancé has already dumped the businessman.

His injuries could be a result of the thugs who beat up his late brother Derek, after an actor who played one of the men revealed he will be back on screen again.

Back in December, Ben Wigzell told a follower on Twitter that he will "return again at some point next year".

Kirsty Branning stormed onto the Albert Square scene on Christmas Day as Max's secret wife.

Her attempts to lead Max astray from his fiancé Tanya came to fruition on the day of Derek's funeral last Friday when they passionately kissed in a back alley following a heated argument.

EastEnders newcomer Kierston Wareing has revealed that she has suffered from abusive relationships in the past.

The actress recently joined the BBC soap as Kirsty, the secret wife of Max Branning (Jake Wood), causing a major rift in the Branning household.

She explained that two ex-boyfriends had beaten her up during their relationships. When she was 14, her 16-year-old partner beat her, while a second boyfriend knocked one of her teeth out in her 20s.

"He was the worst. He was very *charming and from a good background. I thought he was too good to be true - and he was," she told the Sunday People.

"Two months into our relationship he started with his controlling behaviour and then I was getting hit every weekend. He'd smash me up and then say, 'I'm not taking you out - look at you, you're an embarrassment'."

She continued to reveal that the ex-boyfriend would humiliate her in front of her friends, while also attacking her with a plank.

On other occasions in her painful time with him, which lasted for more than a year, he *humiliated her in front of his pals and attacked her with a plank.

She said: "My whole eye was closed. I had great bumps like eggs on my head, bruises black and blue.

"You wouldn't have recognised me. He once tried to hit me with a crowbar but missed."

The 34-year-old added: "I was a nervous wreck, down to 7st, and I'd shake when I did go out. You stay because you lose your confidence.

"If someone tells you often enough you're *worthless, you start to believe it."

The man was arrested for attacking the actress, but Wareing did not want to go through a trial.

She told Radio Times: "Looking back, I was a bit stupid. But I see myself as a survivor.

"I don't want to come across as a victim with a sob story. I've got a fantastic life. I'm not a victim. I thank the bullies out there for *making me who I am. Some people *become weaker but the bullies made me stronger."

Kirsty will continue to cause drama on Albert Square in the coming weeks, since her arrival on Christmas Day.

EastEnders star Kierston Wareing has outlined her desire for her alter ego Kirsty to interact with more Albert Square residents.

The actress, whose arrival on the soap on Christmas Day came as a surprise to even hardcore fans, hopes her character's scope stretches beyond secret husband Max (Jake Wood), rival Tanya (Jo Joyner) and the rest of the Branning clan.

Film star Wareing suggested Kirsty could become friends with the eccentric Kim Fox as well as clash with Shirley Carter and Kat Slater.

She pondered: "Maybe a night out with Kim would be fun, with us getting really drunk!

"And maybe fight-wise, Shirley. But I think she'd win. And Kat would be good too."

Kirsty Branning has recently befriended Lauren with the ulterior motive of getting closer to Max.

Meanwhile, Max is kicked out of his family home in tonight's (January 22) episode as Tanya discovers his true feelings.

EastEnders star Kierston Wareing has admitted that she found it "easy" to relate to her character's dire situation in an upcoming episode of the soap.

At the end of next week, Wareing's alter ego Kirsty Branning is tracked down by estranged partner Max, who discovers that she has a nasty bruise on her cheek after returning to an abusive boyfriend.

In real life, meanwhile, Wareing recently opened up about her own experiences in two violent relationships from her past.

Discussing the upcoming EastEnders turmoil, the actress told TV Choice: "It's very, very easy for me to do stuff like this. Immediately, I'm thinking about what I went through. Doing those scenes, I went straight back into the thought processes of how I felt.

"Anything negative that happens to you in life can be turned into a positive as far as acting is concerned. You can draw on your experiences - it's far better than any research."

Viewers will see Max (Jake Wood) get beaten up when he steps in to protect Kirsty, but the frightening experience ultimately brings the pair closer together again.

Wareing continued: "She's still in love with [Max]. It hurts her to see him like this. It brings back all the old feelings and they go in for a kiss.

"Kirsty had already accepted that their relationship was over - she'd gone back to her old life and was getting on with it. So all this really comes as quite a shock."

The 34-year-old added that she is pleased with the way fans have reacted to Kirsty since her arrival on Christmas Day.

She said: "I was expecting hate mail, but I haven't had any so far. I got a lovely card with a retriever on the front, which is funny because I've got one at home. Would I go for a drink with Kirsty? Yes, but I don't trust her at all!"

Kierston Wareing has said that she revels in playing "baddies" as she doesn't want her characters to be "boring".

The EastEnders actress made her debut as Max Branning's secret wife Kirsty in an hour-long Christmas Day special. Wareing told The Mirror's We Love TV that the bombshell storyline meant she wasn't able to share her excitement with her friends.

"Only my father, brother and my agent knew," she explained. "When the Christmas Day episode screened, I watched it with my family on holiday in Lanzarote. I got lots of calls from friends who were extremely surprised."

Talking about Kirsty, Wareing commented: "She's very bitchy and lippy - a real stirrer who's absolutely full of herself. However, I think it's all a bit of an act. When she's on her own, you see Kirsty is more vulnerable."

Wareing said that while she has played a number of "wrong 'uns" in her career, she "wouldn't have it any other way".

"I don't want to play boring characters. With baddies like Kirsty, I get to sob, scream and really get my teeth into it," she said.

The 37-year-old also revealed that she has watched the soap since she was a child and said it was "nerve-wracking" being on set with characters she had grown up with.

"It's been like a weird dream and I keep expecting to wake up any minute. I've worked with lots of famous actors, but this is the first time I've been starstruck," she added.

Wareing recently admitted that she drew on her own experiences of domestic abuse for an upcoming storyline in the show.

EastEnders star Kierston Wareing has stated that Max Branning and Tanya Cross should be together.

The Albert Square newcomer, who plays Max's secret wife Kirsty and Tanya's love rival, believes that their relationship doesn't simply revolve around their three children Lauren, Abi and Oscar.

"I think Max should be with Tanya - not just because of the kids, they have been together a long time," she told The Sun.

However, Wareing added: "But maybe neither of them should be with him. See you later, Max! That's what should happen in real life, 'You've gone off, you've married someone else'."

Commenting on the sexual appeal of Walford lothario Max, the actress explained: "He's got a bit of a gangster edge but he's honest. He has a quiet confidence."

EastEnders star Kierston Wareing has admitted that she wouldn't fight for Max Branning in real life.

The actress's character Kirsty was unveiled as Max's secret wife at Christmas, and has recently succeeded in winning him back from his on-off partner Tanya.

With Tanya due back in Walford this week, it remains to be seen whether Kirsty can keep hold of Max in upcoming episodes.

However, Wareing told the Daily Star: "I hope she doesn't always fight for Max! I know in real life I certainly wouldn't be there.

"I think in real life Tanya and Kirsty should have said, 'See you later, Max' and left him."

Meanwhile, discussing the recognition that comes with her new role, Wareing said: "I'm realising that the impact of the show is massive. I knew it was big, but until you're in it, you don't realise. If someone wants an autograph, then why not? They are the people who are supporting you."

EastEnders continues tomorrow (February 21) at 7.30pm on BBC One.

'EastEnder's Kirsty Branning will announce that she is pregnant in an upcoming storyline.

Kirsty, played by Kierston Wareing, shocks husband Max when she shares the news with him in a few weeks' time, a report in the Daily Star Sunday has revealed.

Max (Jake Wood) initially urges Kirsty to keep quiet about the baby, as he doesn't want his family to know that he's going to be a dad again. However, how long they can keep the bombshell under wraps remains to be seen.

An EastEnders source told the newspaper: "Kirsty turning up as Max's secret wife at Christmas was one of the biggest shocks we've ever had in Albert Square.

"But even he never dreamed he'd end up having a baby with Kirsty. This is going to throw his life into chaos - again. Who knows what will happen when Tanya, Lauren and Abi find out?"

Max is currently trying to make a go of his relationship with Kirsty after splitting from Tanya earlier this year.

Kirsty has already been pregnant with Max's child once before, but she had a termination when his scheming brother Derek told her that Max didn't want the child.

EastEnders continues tomorrow (March 11) at 8pm on BBC One.

Jake Wood has admitted that his character Max Branning won't be happy when wife Kirsty reveals her baby news.

The latest twist for the Walford couple airs next week as Max is stunned when Kirsty (Kierston Wareing) tells him that she is pregnant with his child.

Kirsty's revelation comes just as Max is feeling uncertain about their future as a couple, still secretly hoping to reconcile with on-off partner Tanya (Jo Joyner).

Wood told All About Soap of Kirsty's bombshell: "Max is shocked - deeply shocked. Obviously she was pregnant once before when he left and she had to abort the baby because of Derek, and Max knows how upset she was about that.

"But this is a massive surprise he just didn't see coming. It's completely out of the blue as far as Max knows."

The actor continued: "He wants to tell Tanya and the girls first to make sure there's no upset for them, but Kirsty isn't keen when he suggests it!

"He didn't plan to have kids with Kirsty for a very long time, not while he's unsettled and determined to get Tanya back. It's the last thing he wanted to happen, I think."

While Kirsty is determined to make her marriage work, Max continues to wonder whether Tanya really is the right woman for him.

Wood added: "If they decided to have the child, I think Max would be committed to the baby, plus Kirsty would be a great mum. Max is a good dad, and it must be very frustrating for Kirsty, because he won't commit to her fully.

"He's playing for time and doing that typical Max thing where he's trying to keep all the balls in the air until he's got something properly sorted.

"At this point, I think he would be happiest with Tanya, but she won't have him back. He isn't in control at the moment - everything is out of his hands and he hates that.

"He wants to be with Tanya and if he could return to Christmas when they were about to get married again, he would. Only this time, there wouldn't be his other wife knocking at their front door!"

EastEnders continues tonight (March 26) at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Kierston Wareing has admitted that her character's desperation to keep Max Branning is "embarrassing".

The actress's alter ego Kirsty is currently pretending to be pregnant in a bid to keep Max (Jake Wood) interested in their marriage.

Next week's episodes see Kirsty continue her deception by announcing her baby 'news' at the Queen Vic, hoping that she can get pregnant for real before she is caught out.

Wareing told Inside Soap: "Kirsty has told this huge lie to keep him, and even I don't know when the truth is going to come out. I'm excited to see what's going to happen.

"Kirsty keeps pouncing on Max, because she thinks the more she jumps on him, the quicker a real pregnancy is going to happen! But it's not working, and time is running out.

"I feel really embarrassed for her - imagine how the rest of the Square will react when it comes out that she lied? Mind you, Kirsty's got so much front, she might not care!"

Wareing also admitted that she thinks Kirsty's marriage is doomed whatever happens, as Max's inability to stay faithful could come between them.

She said: "I don't think it's going to last. But what I am hoping comes out of it is that, if Max does cheat on her with anyone else, Kirsty won't turn into a drip because of it. I think she should do the dirty on him as well in that case! I know that Kirsty doesn't trust Max - would anyone? I'm not being funny, but just look at his track record.

"Every time I get a script, I think to myself, 'She's still not come clean!' If I were mates with Kirsty, I'd tell her to leave Max. He's going to be furious when he finds out she's been lying - but I don't think he's worth her tears."

EastEnders continues tonight (April 16) at 7.30pm on BBC One.

EastEnders star Kierston Wareing has admitted that she can't understand why her character Kirsty Branning stays with husband Max.

Kirsty is currently lying about being pregnant in a desperate attempt to keep Max (Jake Wood) interested in their relationship, knowing that he still has strong feelings for his ex-partner Tanya (Jo Joyner).

Wareing told TV Times: "If a Max Branning even tried to approach me, I'd be like, 'See you later, goodbye!'

"What I don't understand is why she won't leave him. I know she's lonely, but you can be even lonelier in a relationship. I'd love her to kick Max into touch.

"She's found a friend in Kat and I'd love to see that progress - having them go out and about and having a good time together."

The actress, who made her first appearance as Kirsty at Christmas, added that she wouldn't rule out a long-term stay with EastEnders.

She said: "I believe life is fated - what's going to happen will happen. So you might see me in EastEnders in 20 years, you might see me in Hollywood, you might never see me again!

"If I carry on acting, I'll appreciate it because I've struggled to get here. It's a wonderful job. People would give their right arm to do it."

EastEnders actress Kierston Wareing has said that she thinks her character Kirsty should "move on" from husband Max.

Kirsty's lies about her pregnancy are about to be exposed by Max (Jake Wood), leaving their relationship in tatters.

However, Wareing told The Sun's TV Magazine that she feels Kirsty should "move on" despite her feelings for Max.

She said: "I can understand how Kirsty's got herself in this mess. She foolishly thought: 'If I pretend I'm pregnant, I'll hold on to him and in the meantime I will get pregnant.'

"I think Kirsty should move on from Max now - although it was him who rescued her from her bad old ways with her ex Carl [Daniel Coonan] and that's something very attractive about Max.

"If someone had done that for me in real life I would find that very appealing."

Despite her suggestion that Kirsty needs to make changes in her life, Wareing said that she plans on staying on the soap.

She said: "EastEnders is quite a claustrophobic job, and other people say it's hard work, but I find it's very easy compared to previous work I've done.

"When I was in The Take, I was doing shots of vodka for two months. And I once had to work on a farm, where a cow crapped and it splattered all over my face.

"EastEnders has been a blessing after that! Kirsty and those hoop earrings aren't going anywhere at the moment."

EastEnders star Kierston Wareing has admitted that she doesn't plan to stay on the show for too long.

The actress has played Max Branning's wife Kirsty since last year.

Wareing told Digital Spy: "I'd like to do other projects. It'd be nice to be in the show, come out, go back in there and come out - I don't know if they're going to allow that, but that'd be my ideal situation.

"It would be nice to do film work and dramas, something you can really get your teeth into.

"I think a year in EastEnders would be good - maybe longer."

Wareing also revealed that she has struggled with fame since joining the soap last year.

She said: "If you want me to be honest it was very difficult. Even though I've been in the acting trade beforehand, it was a bit of a shock to the system, because I didn't realise just how many people believe in these characters and believe you are the person."

Wareing continued: "It's taken me quite a while to adapt to because I like to be a private person, but now every move of mine is suddenly on Twitter or maybe you walk outside and there's a press photographer there.

"Now it's different as I'm prepared for it, but I usually avoid those kinds of situations and hide behind someone else if I see someone from the press.

"When I'm in a local pub, I just want the Kierston who I used to be, not try to talk about, 'Oh, wow, EastEnders' with punters for seven hours. But it's a learning process."

Wareing was speaking at the National Lottery Stars 2013. The gala event, which celebrates the difference lottery-funded organisations make to local communities, airs Wednesday, September 11 at 10.30pm on BBC One.

EastEnders star Kierston Wareing has discussed her departure from the BBC One soap.

It was announced that the actress, who plays Kirsty Branning, was among four faces being cut from the show, following the arrival of new boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins in September.

Wareing, who made her first appearance last Christmas, has confirmed that it wasn't her decision to leave the show.

She told TV Extra: "It wasn't my decision, it was theirs. A new producer came on board and he wanted to shake things up."

The star admitted that while she would have "happily stayed", she was relieved that her character was axed as she disagreed with some of her storylines.

She said: "I always wanted them to make that choice. I wasn't really happy with where the storylines were going, because I just thought it has become a bit one dimensional."

One storyline that the actress particularly struggled with was when Kirsty pretended to be pregnant to keep husband Max (Jake Wood) from leaving her.

She said: "I enjoyed a lot of it, but I didn't really believe what I was doing. In the beginning I did, but I didn't believe the fake pregnancy."

At the time, Wareing branded her character's behaviour "embarrassing".

In September, the actress told Digital Spy that she had struggled with fame since joining the soap, and hinted that she didn't plan to remain on EastEnders for very long.

She said: "I'd like to do other projects. It'd be nice to be in the show, come out, go back in there and come out - I don't know if they're going to allow that, but that'd be my ideal situation.

"It would be nice to do film work and dramas, something you can really get your teeth into."
