Seems to be dragging on a bit, maybe when Sarah comes out of hospital and Debbie gets to spend more time at home ? Looks like we have to put up with Lady of the Manor Katie Macey down the mineshaft and the aftermath for heaven knows how long.

Meanwhile, Emmerdale's steamy romance between Moira Barton and Cain Dingle is finally reignited later this month.
Moira (Natalie J Robb) will soon show that she's still interested in Cain when they arrange to meet up in the pub. However, their plans to see each other are thwarted as Cain realises that his family need him more, so he heads to look after Sarah at the hospital while his loved ones get some much-needed rest.
Although Moira is left feeling flat after being stood up by Cain (Jeff Hordley), she tries not to show it when they come face-to-face at the café the next morning. Cain is also keen to appear as disinterested as possible.
Later, however, Cain decides to make the first move by visiting Moira at Butler's. After Moira challenges Cain about hiding his true feelings, the atmosphere between the pair is electric.
Unable to fight her feelings anymore, Moira pulls Cain into a kiss and starts tearing at his clothes…

cain's trying to pretend he's a nice family guy
Monday
The emergency services are working on sending a rescuer down the mineshaft. Deep in the mine, Katie drifts in and out of sleep as she lies in pain, unable to fight the exhaustion. A rescue worker is lowered into the hole to locate Katie as Declan looks on nervously, supported by Moira. However, when the rescue worker emerges, it's to report that there is no sign of Katie. An irate Declan then pushes past the officers and demands answers. Upset they can't find her, he watches them looking over a map.
Deep in the mine, a trapped Katie tries to make a call on her mobile but there is no reception and the lights on the quad go off, leaving her in complete darkness. Panicking, she moves and causes debris to fall. Katie notices a tunnel, and as she knows it could be her only chance of survival, she begins to crawls through. She has no choice but to carry on when water starts trickling through.
On the surface, the rescue workers are informed of rain up at Blackfell. It suddenly dawns on Andy that the mineshaft could fill with water and Declan is left distraught. Down in the tunnel, Katie injures herself on barbed wire as she notices the water is rising and flowing quicker. Desperate, she cries out for help…
Meanwhile, Nicola suggests to Nikhil they should contact Megan when there is no news, as Declan will want his sister to support him.
Elsewhere, Laurel is annoyed at Bernice as she encourages Arthur to eat junk food. Ashley tells Bernice that he knows about Steve, which upsets her. Laurel is annoyed that Bernice seems to be buying the children's affections and Diane later has words with Bernice about the situation with Steve and her general attitude to motherhood.
Also today, Edna is alarmed at the cost of the treatment for Tootsie and lies about being insured. After calling the insurance company, Edna realises she is not covered and is worried. Later, after a harsh exchange of words, Charity informs Edna that her hours will be cut and she has an official warning. Edna cradles Tootsie, trying not to think about what might happen to her.
Finally, Ali has a flicker of hope about getting a decent job as she discusses the sales manager position with Dan and Lizzie.
Tuesday
At the mineshaft, Declan is frustrated that the rescue workers don't seem to be doing much, but he is told they have to go slowly to avoid more casualties. Down the mine, Katie is in pain and winces as she rips material from her clothes to make a bandage for her injured leg. She gathers all of her strength and continues hauling herself through the tunnel, oblivious as small pieces of debris start to fall behind her. Katie stops to sip the water she has collected before continuing to drag herself along the tunnel. She calls out in terror as she hears a rumble and rocks begin to fall as the tunnel behind her collapses.
Declan is crushed when he discovers there has been another tunnel collapse down in the mine, and he can't believe it when Megan turns up. Declan walks away, angry and frustrated that the rescue team don't seem to be doing anything. Megan forces him to the car to take him home.
Later at the pub, everyone gathers to hold a candlelit vigil for Katie. When Declan hears what they're doing via a voicemail from Nicola, he heads over to The Woolpack and becomes angry towards everyone for behaving like it's a wake. However, he finds that he can't deny to Megan that he thinks Katie is dead.
At the same time, deep in the mine, Katie is panicked and terrified as her phone runs out of battery and she sobs in the dark…
Meanwhile, Charity is insensitive when Edna brings Tootsie into work, anxious before her operation. Edna is delighted when Jimmy says that he is increasing her hours back up to three days a week again. Edna says a reluctant goodbye to Tootsie before her operation as an empathetic Brett promises to look after her. She is later relieved when Brett explains the op went well, but she is uneasy when he gives her the interim bill. At the pub, a worried Edna contemplates a credit card application form.
Elsewhere, Bernice is privately having doubts about Steve, Val is concerned about Amy as Pollard reminds her that Kyle's birthday is approaching, Laurel and Ashley try to warn Bernice not to spoil Gabby with too many gifts, while Kerry thinks that Amy should send Kyle a birthday present.
Wednesday
Declan leaves Katie a voicemail, fighting to stay strong for her. Megan is hopeful they'll find her, but Declan fears the worst. In the mine, Katie finally stirs but she is too weak to call out. She tries to drag herself forward as she sees a patch of morning light. Declan arrives at the mineshaft, but is shocked when the rescue worker packs up, telling him to prepare for the worst as they've found the quad bike but not Katie. A distraught Declan blames himself.
An exhausted Katie slips in and out of consciousness, crawling towards the light and gasping for help. However, she soon slumps down defeated. We see the vast stretch of moorland above where Katie is - there is no sign of anyone for miles.
In the pub, Megan rallies people to go searching for Katie, arguing that they shouldn't give up just because the rescue team have. Nikhil says there is someone he has to talk to first. He visits Declan and tells him that Katie needs him, but Declan seethes and pushes him against the wall. Nikhil holds his own and Declan broods on his words.
Searching up on the moors, Sam recalls seeing some vents but can't remember where. At the same time, Andy and Moira head to Butler's land to search, while Zak supports Megan. Katie then hears voices above and calls out - will they hear her cries?
Meanwhile, Kerry is thwarted but still determined when Amy tells her to stop pestering about Kyle. Val lays into Kerry and is incensed when Kerry suggests that she knows Amy better than her. Victoria also tries to talk to Amy about Kyle, but is taken aback by her vehemence as she says that both she and Kerry suck at being mothers. At Dale View, Victoria finds Kerry writing a card for Kyle from Amy. Kerry thinks she knows best, but she is floored when Victoria tells her that receiving cards from her only hurt Amy more. In the pub, Kerry accidentally drops Kyle's birthday card as she heads out and Diane picks it up, unaware of its significance.
Elsewhere, Edna realises she has no other choice than to fill in the credit card form.

Thursday- 1st episode
Declan is still fearing for Katie following the accident. Nikhil can see how messed up Declan is as he blames himself for everything that has happened. Declan closes himself off again, telling Nikhil to just go.
Later, Nikhil tells Megan that Declan has thrown him out too. He asks if she is still planning on getting revenge on Declan, but she is not playing games anymore. Nikhil thinks Megan should tell Declan that running away is not the answer.

Meanwhile, at Woodbine, Edna feeds Tootsie some of her own food from her plate. Later, Charity is annoyed that Edna has brought Tootsie in and Edna hates being talked down to. Working on some reports, Edna frowns as something doesn't add up and she asks Charity about drivers working over their legal hours. She is appalled by Charity's attitude when she doesn't deny it.
Charity sets to work on Edna's computer when she has gone. Later, Edna sees Charity has deleted the evidence and she feels compelled to hand in her resignation.
Elsewhere, Bernice has kept Gabby off school as there is a stomach bug going round but Laurel sees she is fine, Moira struggles to ignore her chemistry with Cain as he offers to fix her vacuum packer, while Marlon notices Rhona and Brett's banter when Rhona confides in Brett about Paddy having a midlife crisis.
Thursday - 2nd episode
Declan is terrified for Katie's life.

Meanwhile, Moira is getting ready to go to the pub to meet Cain, and she covers when Adam wants to go with her. She is relieved to get away with it and heads out. At the same time, Cain is concerned about Debbie, but is also eager to get to the pub and see Moira. Moira waits in The Woolpack for him, but Cain decides Debbie needs him more and he'll take over from Andy at the hospital so she can get some rest. Moira leaves the pub and returns home feeling flat that Cain has stood her up.
Elsewhere, Brett thinks Rhona is coming onto him at the vets. She suggests that he should give Paddy his tickets to his adventure day, as he can't go due to work. Rhona suggests Paddy could take Bob with him, but he doesn't like being told what to do and decides to invite Marlon. Marlon hopes he has done the right thing by agreeing to go and takes the day off work. He later admits the truth to Laurel about going on an away day with Paddy, feeling guilty for lying in the first place. Laurel is unsure how she feels about it all.
Also, Rodney wants Edna to put up a fight with Charity, but she doesn't want to work for someone who has no principles. Edna later refuses Jimmy's offer of money for all her hard work over the years and he feels guilty about not sticking up for her to Charity.
Finally, Amy refuses to discuss the card.
Friday
Katie is not in a good way, and Declan continues to worry for her but is grateful for Megan's support.
At the same time, Gennie is guilty about having fallen out with Katie.

Meanwhile, Debbie gives Cain a birthday card, guilty over not buying him a present. Cain nearly calls Moira, but his doubts get in the way. Later at the café, both Moira and Cain act disinterested as she asks him what happened last night at the pub. However, when they see each other again later, Moira asks Cain why he is scared of showing his feelings and the atmosphere between them is charged. Unable to fight it anymore, Moira pulls Cain into a kiss and starts tearing at his clothes.
Elsewhere, Rhona is stunned and upset to hear that Paddy has asked Marlon to go on the day out with him, Laurel is annoyed at being lied to over Paddy and Marlon's friendship, Belle asks Lisa and Zak about going to a teen club night at the weekend but they're not keen, while Gennie is thrilled as she persuades Nikhil to give her an interview for the sales manager job at the factory.
Emmerdale's Declan Macey lashes out at Nikhil Sharma this evening (November 28) as they clash over Katie's dire situation.
Tonight's episode sees Declan (Jason Merrells) lose hope that Katie will be found alive when the rescue team announce that they are scaling down their search for her down the mine.
Distraught that he may have lost his wife, Declan drowns his sorrows back at Home Farm and cuts himself off from the rescue efforts.
When Nikhil (Rik Makarem) pays a visit, he rebukes Declan for giving up on Katie. However, an emotional Declan fumes over his interference and angrily pushes him up against the wall…
