Coming up on EastEnders, Joey and Lauren's romance storyline kicks off properly as they share a kiss.
The pair's chemistry comes to a head shortly after Joey (David Witts) has ended his relationship with Lucy, which leads to him moving into the Branning house after packing his bags at the Beale residence.
Later that day, Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) is feeling depressed with her life, so she heads to the R&R to drown her sorrows. As Lauren knocks back the booze, a protective Joey watches her like a hawk the whole night.
When Joey sees some boys get too close to Lauren at the club, he immediately throws them out and walks his drunken cousin home.
Offering some advice as they arrive back, Joey suggests that Lauren should change her life if she is so unhappy and even offers to move out, explaining that he doesn't want to be another thing that Lauren runs away from.
As the pair look at each other, there is a clear attraction between them and Lauren moves in for a kiss…

I dont understand Danny is it that he wants Syed for himself?
Monday
Carol arrives back in Walford with the kids, but she isn't best pleased to find her cupboard piled high with Derek's dodgy gear. She is further horrified to hear about the police raid at the house and how Derek stole from Lucy. When Carol finally manages to track down Derek, she is furious with him and warns that the dodgy gear has got to go. This is particularly important as Bianca will be coming home from prison in a few weeks, so they can't risk having anything illegal in the house.
Derek wonders whether he should give Carol the letter from David, but as she continues to berate him for his bad behaviour, he decides not to. Instead, he heads outside to the garage, where he is now hiding his dodgy gear and counterfeit money. Derek locks away Carol's letter from David there too…
Meanwhile, Sharon visits Phil and warns him not to turn against Ian for refusing to help with Ben. When she notices that the room is filled with old photos of her and Phil, he is forced to confess that he put her name on the residency order. Phil insists that he's only trying to do what is best for Lola as they'd run out of options to get Lexi back.
Later, Ian tells Sharon that he can understand Phil's shock move, but Sharon is livid when she consults Lola and discovers that the emotional teenager is completely in the dark about her involvement. Heading back to see Phil, Sharon insists that her name must be taken off the residency order.
Elsewhere on the Square, Lauren is surprised to see that Lucy and Joey are back together. To make matters worse for Lauren, Whitney and Lucy aren't speaking to her for breaking their pact by setting Joey free. Lauren soon finds herself in a row with Joey as she's upset to be getting so much grief, but it's also clear that there's an attraction between the cousins. Joey tries to get Lauren to forgive him for his recent bad behaviour as he wants them to be friends, but she needs time to think.
Also today, Masood quits his teaching assistant job to become a full-time postman again, Danny continues to text Syed, while Tamwar decides to take over Zainab's post at the Minute Mart.
Tuesday
Danny turns up at Syed's flat, wanting the money back that he advanced him. When Syed doesn't have the cash, Danny promises to keep hassling him until he pays up. As Danny leaves, Roxy spots him and she innocently reveals this information to Christian. Angry to hear that Danny is back, Christian immediately confronts Syed and is concerned to hear that Danny wants money. Unconvinced that Syed has the situation under control, Christian secretly responds to a text from Danny on Syed's phone and arranges a meeting.
Soon afterwards, Danny is surprised to realise that he's been set up by Christian as they come face-to-face at the gym. Christian warns Danny to stop hassling Syed, but is soon left stunned as Danny reveals that his encounters with Syed went further than just a kiss. Danny then taunts Christian by claiming that he'll never be good enough for Syed. Fuming, Christian punches Danny, knocking him straight to the floor. Later, Syed is horrified when he sees that Christian has been badly beaten.
Meanwhile, Joey informs Lauren that he has decided to take her advice and will be breaking up with Lucy. Soon afterwards, Lauren finds an upset Lucy at the café and tries to comfort her, declaring that Joey is an idiot for not wanting her. However, Lauren has jumped the gun - Lucy isn't upset over Joey and he hasn't broken up with her yet! Lucy is distraught to realise that Joey wants to end things, and her worst fears are later realised when he later packs his bags and leaves.
Elsewhere, Lola is confused following her conversation with Sharon yesterday, so Phil is forced to confess that he forged her name on the application. Phil admits to Lola that he has no idea how they're going to get residency without Sharon's support.
Also, The Vic's Halloween party includes a ghost tour of Albert Square, the local residents take part in a costume competition, and Fatboy suggests to Denise that they should go public as a couple - but she wants to end things now and leave their fling as a happy memory.
Thursday
Lola begs Sharon to reconsider being on the residency application, but Sharon refuses. As a result, Lola is left in turmoil as she feels she has no hope whatsoever of getting Lexi back. She resolves to take her mind off things by trying to spend time with Jay and Abi, but the young couple have a romantic picnic planned. Feeling more alone than ever, Lola tells her loved ones that they might as well give up the fight for Lexi now, before breaking down in tears over the desperate situation.
Later, it's time for Lola to receive another visit from Lexi, but she still seems to have given up when she tells her baby about all of the great things that her new parents will have planned for her. Soon afterwards, Phil has a meeting with Trish about the residency order case. Just as Trish asks about Phil's living arrangements, Sharon walks in, having seen how much Lola was struggling earlier in the day. She introduces herself as Phil's fiancée…
Meanwhile, Max finds Joey sleeping in the car lot office and agrees to let him move into the Branning house. Derek isn't particularly pleased with this development, especially when Joey continues to reject his attempts to make amends. Carol sees how hurt Derek is and begs Joey to give him a chance, but Joey shocks her by revealing Derek's dark history of domestic violence. It soon becomes clear to Carol that Derek hasn't changed when he declares if Joey doesn't want anything to do with him, he should get out of his life or risk ending up like David Wicks.
Later, Joey watches Lauren like a hawk as she gets drunk at R&R, and he steps in when a group of lads get a little bit too close to her. As Joey walks Lauren home, the chemistry between them continues to heat up. Lauren moves in for a kiss but Joey stops her. A humiliated Lauren then runs upstairs.
Elsewhere, Christian lies to Syed that he was the victim of a homophobic attack, but refuses to go to the police.
Friday
Syed takes matters into his own hands by calling in the police over the attack on Christian. However, when two police officers turn up at the flat, they announce that they need to investigate an allegation of causing grievous bodily harm which has been made against Christian. Syed is shocked as Christian is told to come down to the station.
When Syed follows Christian to the station, he is surprised to find Danny there. Danny is also badly bruised and he tells Syed that Christian started a fight with him by attacking him. He also reveals that he told Christian the truth about what really happened between them. Syed begs Danny not to go through with his allegation, but he says that he'll only drop the case if Syed finds the money he owes him by 1pm. Will Syed be able to save Christian in time?
Meanwhile, an awkward Lauren tells Tanya that having Joey staying at the house is ruining her relationships with her friends. Tanya and Max consider how to best deal with the situation. Later, as Joey takes the hint by packing his bags, Lauren apologises to him for the previous night's kiss. However, Joey confesses that he only pulled away because she was drunk.
The pair soon start to kiss properly, but Lauren cuts it short by insisting that what they're doing is wrong. When Tanya and Max return home, Lauren insists that she's happy for Joey to stay, but she continues to rebuff his attempts to get close to her.
Elsewhere, Lola speaks to Jack about Sharon's involvement in the residency case, wrongly assuming that he already knew. Jack can't believe what he's hearing and tells Sharon that Phil is only doing this to get closer to her. With Jack disapproving of the whole idea, Sharon tells Phil that she may not be able to go through with the deception. However, Jack soon comes round as he accepts that it's something Sharon wants to do, although he privately warns Phil that he'll be keeping an eye on him.
Also today, as Carol leaves with the kids again, she warns the Branning brothers to be on better terms with each other by the time she returns with Bianca in a few weeks' time.
