Coronation Street's Ryan Connor leaves Tracy Barlow stunned as he asks her to marry him later this month.
Ryan (Sol Heras) pops the question following some advice from Steve McDonald, who suggests that he should make a long-term commitment to Tracy (Kate Ford) following her announcement that she is carrying his baby.
Steve is being mischievous with his idea, as what he really wants is to split up Tracy and Ryan. Unconvinced that Tracy is telling the truth about expecting a baby, Steve believes that she might back down from her scheming if Ryan becomes too serious about the relationship.
Oblivious to Steve's duplicity, Ryan invites Tracy, Michelle, Ken and Deirdre to join him at The Rovers with the intention of proving how much he loves his new girlfriend.
Asking for some hush in the pub, Ryan makes the announcement that he wants Tracy to be his wife.
Tracy's reaction is one of horror, and it's clear that she fears her deception is spiralling out of control. Failing to hide her true feelings, could this be the moment that all of Tracy's lies are revealed? And how will Ryan react if he finds out that Tracy doesn't really love him?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, October 22 at 8.30pm on ITV1.
Coronation Street star Sol Heras has reportedly had to be written out of upcoming scenes after suffering a black eye.
The 26-year-old, who plays Ryan Connor in the soap, turned up on set with the injury and said he obtained it during a friendly football match.
A source told The People: "Sol turned up to work sporting a massive black eye but he didn't want anyone to see it, so he went straight to make-up and got them to cover it up. He was trying to be discreet and said he had got the injury playing football.
"He then started filming his Christmas scenes at Nick's Bistro, but when they were finished, production looked back at them and you could see [the bruising].
"In the end, all the scenes he had just filmed had to be put in the bin and they had to rewrite them around him. They told him to go home and come back when he felt better."
Viewers have seen Heras's character become increasingly involved with soap villain Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) over recent weeks. After she announces she is pregnant, Ryan decides to publicly declare his support for her in the middle of The Rovers Return.
"Sol has a great storyline at the moment," the source continued. "He was clearly embarrassed about the black eye as he wants to make a good impression.
"He felt bad the scenes had to be re-written and wants to make up for it."
Coronation Street will air Ryan's shock proposal on Monday, October 22 at 8.30pm on ITV1.

Then we moved out on what developed to be a wild night ride. It's about 2 A.M. We have just come in. My new emplacement is splendid; we've made it shell-proof and have it ready for firing. I was coming home this afternoon after having been to the fire trenches when I heard a shout: "Keene!" I looked up on the canal bank and I saw the general with one of his A.D.C.'s sitting watching an aeroplane duel. "I've come up to see your gun position, Keene." I saluted, waited for him, and took him to it. It is below the level of the ground under tons of bricks in the ruins of a farmhouse. My ignorance of everything beyond my own private bank account and stomach is due to the fact that I have selfishly and foolishly regarded these two departments as the most important features of my existence. After splitting up with Michelle, Steve spends the night at Lloyd's. Tracy is in her element watching Michelle fret over Steve. When Steve calls at the flat for his stuff, Michelle begs him to talk but Steve cruelly ignores her pleas, leaving Michelle completely bewildered. Steve then confides in Lloyd that dumping Michelle is just a ruse to split up Ryan and Tracy, and once that's done he'll get back together with her.
Later, Steve points out to Tracy that now she's successfully split them up, she can stop playing games with Ryan. However, Tracy insists that she loves Ryan and is carrying his child. Steve is thwarted and when he discovers that Rob has taken Michelle to the Bistro to comfort her, he worries that his master plan has gone sadly awry!
Meanwhile, with news rife about the latest glitch in their relationship, Audrey and Lewis try to front it out. Nick refuses to give Lewis his old job back and Audrey is faced with her friends clearly thinking there's no fool like an old fool. At the same time, Gail voices her suspicion that Penny and Lewis are actually in cahoots. How will Audrey react to this? And how will Lewis react to an unexpected job offer?
Elsewhere, Anna finally snaps when Mary decides to transform Roy and Hayley's flat into an upstairs dining area for her French night.
Also, Mandy and Lloyd's relationship develops.
After spotting Rob and Michelle staring into each other's eyes, Steve decides to crank up his plans to split up Tracy and Ryan. Convincing Ryan that he should make an honest woman of Tracy and propose, Steve sits back in The Rovers as Ryan goes down on one knee and asks Tracy to marry him.
Ryan instantly clocks Tracy's look of abject horror, but put on the spot, what will she say? As all hell breaks loose, Steve is pleased with the results, but how will Michelle react when Steve tells her what he's really been up to?
Meanwhile, Lewis is working his first shift at The Rovers and enjoying himself. However, he's concerned when Doctor Carter arrives and Gloria quickly ushers him through to the back. Later, Lewis finds her in floods of tears as she tells him the true startling reason for her returning to the bosom of her family.
Elsewhere, as the café's French night soars, Nick sends Kylie home from the empty Bistro. Later, she pays a visit to the pop-up restaurant where she spies Beth dolling out cognac. After putting up with Mary bragging about her success, Kylie has a sneaky idea to take the wind out of her sails for good.
Also, when Gary interrupts Tina and Tommy's romantic night in to discuss the surrogacy, it becomes clear that Tommy is still finding the idea harder to take than he's letting on.

Michelle comforts a heartbroken Ryan, but he is convinced that his mum was in on Steve's plan to set him up. Michelle swears she wasn't, but an angry Ryan storms out. As he jumps into a cab, telling the driver to head for a bar in town, a concerned Sophie jumps into the car with him.
At the pub, Ryan gets smashed, scores some coke and starts a fight. As they're thrown out of the bar, Sophie is powerless to help Ryan. High on drugs, he plays chicken with the traffic on a dual carriageway. Sophie implores him to stop, but Ryan ignores her and as Sophie makes a desperate attempt to pull him from the road, tragedy strikes…
Meanwhile, concerned about Gloria, Lewis asks Audrey about her. Audrey tells him that she hardly knows her, and when she wonders why he's interested, he manages not to tell her the truth - that Gloria is dying!
Arriving at the pub for his shift, Lewis fusses round Gloria, insisting that she puts her feet up. When he asks if she's okay, Gloria tells him that she could do with a friendly ear and wonders if he's free for dinner that evening. As he accepts, Lewis ponders how he'll manage to hide what he's doing from Audrey.
Elsewhere, Mary plans a Greek extravaganza as Anna defiantly reminds her that she'll be having nothing to do with it. Beth's up for it and later when the night is in full swing, she produces some ouzo and starts dishing out the shots. Will Mary stay in control?
Also today, Izzy's off to the clinic with Gary to have her eggs harvested.

As Sophie lies unconscious and the driver of the car calls an ambulance, Ryan panics and runs off. Kevin then gets a call to say that his daughter has been in an accident and he races to the hospital, where he keeps a vigil at Sophie's bedside.
Kevin is shocked to hear that a young man was with Sophie when she was hit by the car. As he struggles to digest the news, he's hit by another blow which knocks him sideways - Sophie has suffered a spinal injury and may never walk again…
Meanwhile, as Beth produces another bottle of ouzo, Mary struggles to control the raucous diners. Arriving back from the States early, having left Hayley to look after Sylvia who's had a fall, Roy is horrified to walk into the drunken Greek party taking place.
Furious, Roy orders everyone out and lets rip at Mary for turning his home in a drunken taverna. How will he react when a licensing officer then shows up claiming he has reason to believe they've been selling alcohol illegally?
Elsewhere, Tommy is quiet in the pub when Gary is effusive about what he and Tina are doing for him and Izzy. Later, when he joins Gary and Owen for a game of darts, Tommy can't bear hearing any more about the surrogacy. Will he snap or succeed in keeping schtum?
Also, Emily spies Gloria heading off with Lewis to the dogs and later susses that Audrey hasn't a clue about it, while Maria organises an awkward foursome night in with Jason, Marcus and Aiden.
The doctor explains to Kevin that Sophie has a fractured spine and needs an operation. Sally arrives at the hospital and is devastated to hear that although the operation could help, there's still a possibility that their daughter could be paralysed. The Websters stop talking as Sophie regains consciousness. Under pressure from Kevin, she admits that she was with Ryan, who was playing chicken in the road.
Back on the street, a dishevelled Ryan arrives home. Though relieved, Michelle demands to know how Sophie ended up being run over. As Ryan tries to explain, Kevin arrives and punches him, revealing that Sophie may never walk again - all because he was high on drugs. As Ryan breaks down, how will Michelle react?
At the same time, over at the hospital, Sophie is wheeled off to theatre…
Meanwhile, Mary insists that no alcohol was sold in the café, but the licensing officer is unconvinced and tells Roy that he'll have to attend the council offices on Monday. Roy throws Mary out, accusing her of violating his home and his trust. Heading to the Bistro, Roy apologises to Nick for any problems caused, revealing that he's been accused of illegally selling alcohol. Will Nick realise that it's somebody close to him who is to blame for reporting Roy?
Elsewhere, Gary apologises to Tommy for going on about the surrogacy, and Tommy explains that he just finds it hard to handle. Tina wants to avoid any bad feeling when the embryos are implanted on Monday, and assures Tommy that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Tommy does as he's told, but it's clear he's still deeply uncomfortable about the situation he's put her in.
Also today, Lewis has a pang of guilt after his illicit night out with Gloria, while Maria and Marcus's surprise kiss still proves to be an elephant in the room.
