A new storyline for the pair kicks off at Christian and Syed's stag party later this month, as Fatboy begins to see Denise (Diane Parish) in a completely different light.

When Denise catches Fatboy's eye at the celebration, he cannot resist flirting with her. At first Denise doesn't really notice, but she is grateful when Fatboy comes to her rescue after a group of lads start hassling her.

Later, Fatboy (Ricky Norwood) walks Denise home and sparks fly between the unlikely duo, leading them to spend the night together.

Denise is adamant that it cannot happen again when they wake up together the next morning, but during Christian and Syed's wedding, Fatboy doesn't give up and he continues to pursue his new love interest.

As seen in our picture above, against her better judgement, Denise responds to Fatboy's advances for a second time...

EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday, October 18 at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Hooray Denise is getting a storyline of her own at last. Its about time - she`s my fave character in EE.
For a time I thought she would hook up with Jack Branning. It seems the writers have knocked that on the head.

EastEnders, fans can expect more than a few hitches for Christian Clarke and Syed Masood as the day of their civil partnership arrives.

Syed (Marc Elliott) is plagued with guilt on the morning of the ceremony, feeling that he can't go ahead with the big day after stealing from his family and kissing Danny Pennant.

Startled after Syed tries to call the whole thing off, Christian (John Partridge) urges him to be honest about what's going on - so Syed confides in him about his financial mess but fails to mention the kiss with Danny.

Things get worse for him, though, when Masood accidentally lets slip about the kiss in front of Christian - having witnessed Syed's passionate encounter with Danny the previous night.

Although Christian is shocked to learn that his partner has been unfaithful, he is willing to forgive Syed and go ahead with the ceremony as he doesn't want to lose him.

Syed still seems uncertain, however, telling Christian that he is worried he's not ready to get married. In the end, Christian leaves with a promise to wait for him at the ceremony - but Syed should only come if he truly loves him.

Later, Christian's face fills with hope as Syed arrives, but just as the music starts, Syed freezes. Will he be able to make it down the aisle?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Tuesday, October 16 at 7.30pm on BBC One.

It's the day of Syed and Christian's stag party at The Vic, but when Syed spots that Danny has turned up for the celebration, he isn't happy and slips out of the pub. Soon afterwards, Danny follows Syed to the Argee Bhajee and suggests that he shouldn't marry Christian - he'd have a better life with him instead! Syed attempts to reject Danny's advances and makes it clear that he just wants a return on his investment, but Danny drops the bombshell that the investment has fallen through and Syed's money has been lost.

As Danny continues his pursuit of Syed by trying to kiss him again, Masood walks into the restaurant. Syed tries to make an excuse by insisting that Danny is only there on business, but Masood reveals that he spotted their kiss the night before. A mischievous Danny claims that Syed obviously wanted to be caught, which prompts Syed to lose his temper and punch Danny. After Danny leaves, Masood questions whether the wedding should go ahead following Syed's betrayal - but Syed defiantly vows that he won't be stopped from marrying Christian.

Back at the pub, Zainab makes a heartfelt apology to Christian for all of the bad things she said about him in the past. When Masood and Syed arrive back, Zainab also apologises to her son for her past behaviour. However, when Zainab hands Syed a picture of the family which includes Christian, his guilt finally starts to overwhelm him. At the end of the night, an emotional Syed finally snaps and tells Christian that he can't marry him…

Meanwhile, Fatboy develops a crush on Denise when he sees how good she is looking at the pub. However, it seems that Fatboy could have some competition as AJ is also impressed. Soon afterwards, Fatboy steps in to save Denise when she gets some unwanted attention from a couple of lads - but his efforts lead to him getting punched.

Denise is extremely grateful that Fatboy defended her, and accepts his offer to walk her home. As they reach her doorstep, they share a kiss and head inside…

TUESDAY

It's the morning after the stag party, and Syed tries sneaking out of the flat as he wants to run away from everything. When Christian stops Syed from leaving and urges him to be honest, he confesses the full story behind his financial woes - but fails to mention the kiss with Danny. Soon afterwards, Masood arrives just as Christian is insisting that the recent problems are not worth cancelling the wedding for. Assuming Christian is talking about Danny, Masood agrees that they shouldn't call off the ceremony over a silly kiss.

Horrified that his secret is out, Syed gets Masood to leave before explaining himself to Christian. It turns out that Christian is willing to forgive Syed for the betrayal, but Syed is still unsure about whether the wedding should happen, as he doesn't even know who he is or what he wants. Christian assures Syed that they should be together and says that he'll be waiting for him at the Argee Bhajee, but Syed should only come if he truly loves him.

Christian is optimistic that Syed will soon join him for the service at the restaurant, and even asks Roxy if he can borrow some money as he wants to help fix the financial mess. As time ticks by, it seems that Syed has decided not to come - so Christian prepares to announce that the wedding is off. However, Syed arrives just in time and it's a heartwarming moment as the wedding goes ahead as planned.

Later, Masood is making a speech following the ceremony when four bailiffs suddenly burst into the restaurant. One of the men announces that the mortgage is four months in arrears and the Masoods owe £12,000, so they're cutting off the electric. Syed is left horrified as Zainab turns to Tamwar and demands to know what is going on…

Meanwhile, Denise and Fatboy have spent the night together, but Denise leaves her new lover disappointed by insisting that it can't happen again. Later, Denise blanks Fatboy at the wedding and struggles with the awkward atmosphere, making a quick exit as she tells Kim that she doesn't feel well.

Thursday

A furious Zainab accuses Tamwar of messing up the business after hearing what the bailiffs have to say. Tamwar has no idea how things have gone so wrong, but when the bailiffs explain that they have sent written warnings, he remembers that Syed insisted on taking care of the letters. He quickly realises that this desperate situation is Syed's fault, but keeps quiet about his brother's betrayal.

Unable to keep a lid on her temper, Zainab launches herself at Tamwar, but AJ tries to calm things by pulling her away. Knowing that Syed is to blame, Christian hopes that he'll just be honest with everyone - but he is shocked when he realises that Syed has gone…

Meanwhile, Fatboy pays a visit to Denise's place as he wants their relationship to continue. Getting nervous at the last minute, he turns to walk away - but Denise has seen him through the window and calls him back.

Denise is flattered when Fatboy hands her some flowers, and finds herself flirting further with her admirer. Soon afterwards, the pair are kissing again…

Further storyline details have been held back for this episode.

EastEnders' Syed Masood punches Danny Pennant next week after the mischievous city boy pushes him too far.

Syed's confrontation with Danny (Gary Lucy) takes place after he quietly slips out of his own stag party and heads to the Argee Bhajee, needing some space to clear his head following his recent problems.

However, when Danny follows Syed (Marc Elliott) there, he makes matters even more complicated by trying to convince him that they should be together.

Syed responds by insisting that he loves fiancé Christian Clarke, adding that all he wants from Danny is a return on his investment. To Syed's horror, though, Danny reveals that the investment fell through and his money has been lost.

Reluctant to accept Syed's rejection, Danny then goes to kiss him and just as he is being pushed away, Masood (Nitin Ganatra) walks in.

A joyous day for the Masood family looks set to descend into all-out war on EastEnders next week as Christian and Syed's civil partnership ceremony has some uninvited guests.

Despite all the hitches in the build-up to the pair's big moment, love will come through in the end as they exchange their vows at the Argee Bhajee as planned - with a tearful Christian (John Partridge) particularly moved by how far they've come as a couple.

Once the pair's official union is confirmed, Masood (Nitin Ganatra) is the first to make a speech - declaring how proud he is of Syed and how he's gained another son now that Christian is part of the family.

Syed (Marc Elliott) is delighted that things have gone so well, but he's not smiling for long as a group of bailiffs suddenly burst into the restaurant.

EastEnders star Ricky Norwood has backed his character Fatboy Chubb's new romance with Denise Fox, describing the pair as "a really good couple".

Fatboy and Denise spend a night together next week and seem to be set for an ongoing fling when they later meet up for an afternoon of passion.

Norwood told Inside Soap of the new storyline: "Right now, I don't think Fatboy is looking for love - but he's happy to be swept off his feet by Denise, who's this hot older woman he never imagined he could be with.

"Denise is a scorching woman - she's got a dynamite body and a beautiful smile. She's way out of his league, but there is a lot of chemistry between them. I think they'd make a really good couple."

While the duo's relationship seems to be just a physical one for now, Norwood added that he wouldn't rule out a more serious future for them.

He explained: "That would be cool. Fatboy may be young, but he's got an old soul and he's not just some young boy messing about.

"There is potential there if Denise could see it, but because of the age thing, I think she might worry that people were saying things about her. Right now, she's just enjoying herself."

Fatboy and Denise's storyline begins on Monday (October 15) at 8pm on BBC One.

EastEnders star Marc Elliott has confirmed that Danny Pennant will want revenge when he next appears on Albert Square.

The actor's alter ego Syed Masood has found himself tempted by Danny in recent weeks, but Monday's (October 15) episode saw Syed punch his new love interest after being pushed too far by his mischievous advances.

Speaking on This Morning today (October 18), Elliott promised that there is more drama to come involving Gary Lucy's character.

Elliott commented: "He returns - he can't be punched in the face in the Argee Bhajee and leave without his dignity! He's got to come back and get some sort of revenge, and he does."

He continued: "Gary Lucy comes back and Christian becomes involved in a storyline with him, which involves the police and possibly arrests."

The 32-year-old also said that he is pleased the Masood family now accept Syed's sexuality, after recent episodes saw them fully supportive of his civil partnership with Christian.

Elliott explained: "I think that's been really important. Obviously there's been a three and a half year build to them getting married, and I think there has been a huge shift. But then I think when we started the story, we were surprised by how accepting the audience was and how ready they were to see something like that. It's been brilliant."

The soap star has already filmed his final scenes at EastEnders and is now appearing as a "down and out" character in a production of Tape at the Trafalgar Studios in Whitehall, London.

Asked about his future plans, he replied: "The play runs until November 10, and then after that I'm hoping that I'll get a bit of a break. But if work comes up, I've got to take it at this stage."

EastEnders continues tonight (October 18) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
