Alfie probably forgives Kat again
EastEnders schemer Janine Butcher resorts to desperate measures with new husband Michael Moon later this month as she tries to test his loyalty once and for all.
Janine (Charlie Brooks) tries her best to trust Michael (Steve John Shepherd) in the coming days, but this proves impossible when he keeps disappearing from their house in the middle of the night for reasons unknown.
Keen to give her marriage a chance despite her suspicions, Janine decides that drastic action is needed to find out whether Michael really loves her, or whether he's only interested in her fortune.
When Michael returns home from work one evening, he is surprised to find Janine with a suitcase. She immediately orders him to open it, claiming that it contains everything he's ever desired.
As Michael looks inside, he is flabbergasted to find that the suitcase contains hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Issuing a life-changing ultimatum, Janine declares that Michael must choose between her and the money: If it's still there by dawn, she'll know he really loves her, but if he has left with the cash, she'll know he never did. What will Michael decide?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday, September 13 at 7.30pm and Friday, September 14 at 8pm on BBC One.

MMonday
Michael suggests to Janine that they should start afresh following their recent problems, so she agrees and heads off for some pampering at the salon. While there, Janine calls Michael in the hope that they can meet up for lunch, but he claims that he's busy viewing a property in London Bridge. However, Janine is furious to realise that this is a lie when she spots Michael walking past the salon window.
Soon afterwards, Janine tries to get information from Billy about what Michael is up to. Later that day, an oblivious Michael returns home and is greeted by a 'Stepford wife'-style Janine. However, with Michael out of earshot and eyeshot, it's clear that this is just a front as Janine's smile fades. No longer trusting Michael, what does she have planned for him?
Meanwhile, it's business as usual back at The Vic following a successful fumigation. With the guilt of her affair becoming too much, Kat bins the key to the secret bedsit, hoping to eliminate temptation. However, an unknowing Jean returns the discarded key to the bar as lost property - and it's not long before it disappears as someone claims it.
Later, Alfie discovers that Kat has some new lingerie. Failing to realise that it was originally planned for her lover, Alfie arranges a romantic night in - but this is quickly cancelled when Tommy refuses to settle. Soon afterwards, Kat gets a text message from her snubbed lover, which says: "I get the message. Maybe in another life." Deciding to forget her guilt for the time being, Kat eventually replies to the text to arrange another meeting with her admirer…
Elsewhere, Derek boasts to his brothers about winning the antiques emporium in his recent poker game. However, Alice isn't best pleased about Derek's involvement in Anthony's departure, questioning whether he has a good bone in his body. Keen to prove himself, Derek apologises to Ian for his bullying of Lucy and buys every last piece of fruit and veg from his stall. After handing his purchases out to shocked pensioners, Derek buys Ian countless drinks at the pub. Will Alice be impressed?
Tuesday
Kat wakes up alone at the bedsit, having spent the night with her mystery lover. She is surprised to see that he has already deserted her, and is also worried when she realises how late in the morning it is. Back at The Vic, Alfie has no idea where his wife slept last night, but he's clearly concerned by her absence. When Kat finally arrives back, she uses Kim as an excuse for her behaviour, claiming that it was just a drunken night out. Struck with guilt once again, Kat calls her boyfriend and makes it clear that they should stop seeing each other.
Later, Kat is startled to receive a bunch of flowers at The Vic. It's a close call for her, as the card reads: "I know you love me too." Alfie is fooled, however, when Kat insists that the bouquet has been sent by Charlie. At the bar, Michael, Jack, Derek and Max all watch Kat with big smiles. Which of the men sent the flowers?
Meanwhile, Janine is still concerned over Michael's behaviour, especially as he was absent for most of the night. Janine puts Billy under strict instruction to watch Michael like a hawk, and she even installs spyware on his computers to keep tabs on what he's up to. Later, Janine catches Michael emerging from Number 89B with Lucy. She confronts the pair, but is soon humiliated when she learns that Michael wants to buy Lucy's flat.

Elsewhere, Ray is stopped by a police officer who has some questions to ask about a recent mugging. After being asked to take off his jacket, Ray is furious and accuses the officer of profiling. When Ray later complains about the incident at The Vic, Kim challenges him to channel his negativity into doing something positive.
Also today, Derek, Jack and Max also have excuses after being absent last night, Ian is exasperated when Derek swipes fruit from the market stall, while Alice tells her dad that she's planning to move in with an unsuspecting Fatboy.
Thursday
Kat lets her lover know that she is furious with him for sending the flowers, as Alfie came extremely close to reading the incriminating note. Despite her anger, however, it's clear that Kat really has fallen for her mystery man. Later, Kat decides to focus on her marriage and tries her best to be a domestic goddess. However, Alfie and Jean can both sense that something is amiss.
Fearing that Kat is overcompensating for something, Alfie gently confronts her - asking whether she really did stay at Kim's earlier in the week, and whether the flowers really were from Charlie. Kat continues to lie to her husband, but he isn't fooled and persists by making his suspicions clear. Unable to maintain her deception, Kat finally tells Alfie the devastating truth - there is someone else…
Meanwhile, Janine's paranoia goes into overdrive when she realises that Michael has once again gone out in the middle of the night without saying a word. Keen to give their marriage a chance, Janine puts a plan into action. Later, Michael is surprised to receive a brand new suit at the office, which arrives with a note from Janine which says that she will see him at 8pm. A lifeless watch set for 8pm also turns up, leaving Michael baffled over what a distrustful Janine may be up to.

When Michael arrives home at the end of the day, the shocks continue as he finds Janine with a suitcase. She orders him to open it, claiming that it contains everything he's ever desired. When Michael looks inside, he is shocked to find that the suitcase contains hundreds of thousands of pounds…
Elsewhere, Lucy complains about Ian to Sharon after he takes the afternoon off work. However, Lucy realises that her father may need her help when Sharon reveals that Ian has an appointment with a mental health assessor. Ian notices Lucy's sudden concern, and is mortified to realise that his daughter is aware of his troubled mental state. However, he accepts that it could be for the best when Lucy promises to support him as he tries to get his life back on track.
Also today, Tanya knows Max is behaving strangely but puts it down to the business not doing well, Alice's plans to move have fallen through so she agrees to stay with Derek as long as he doesn't interfere in her life, while Jack finally seems to be making progress with Sharon
Friday
Alfie is devastated over Kat's confession, and immediately demands to know every detail about her affair. Kat tries to make excuses for her behaviour, but is finally honest with Alfie - admitting that she is confused about her feelings as she thinks she may have fallen in love with the other man.
A disgusted Alfie demands to know who Kat is having the affair with, but she lies that he doesn't know the man involved. Refusing to believe her, Alfie continues to demand answers. As his temper gets the better of him, Alfie aggressively grabs hold of Kat and pushes her against the wall. Is there any hope left at all for their marriage?

Meanwhile, Janine gives Michael a life-changing ultimatum - he must choose between her and the money. Backed into a corner, Michael confesses the truth to Janine - admitting that he did have his eyes on her fortune at first, but he soon fell in love with her and Scarlett. He then turns the tables on Janine by revealing how much her controlling behaviour has humiliated him.
Janine continues to quiz Michael, keen to know whether there is another woman involved. Even though Michael answers her questions, Janine pushes him to make his decision: If the money is still there by dawn, she'll know he really loves her, but if he has left with the cash, she'll know he never did. What will Michael decide?
Some storyline details have been held back for this episode.
With some confusion surrounding exactly what to expect from next week's big Kat and Alfie episodes in EastEnders, we thought we'd help to clear things up a bit.
As fans know, the episode airing on Thursday, September 13 sees Kat confess her infidelity to Alfie, with the following night's edition focusing on the dramatic fallout for the Moons.
However, we can confirm that viewers won't find out the identity of Kat's mystery man next week. With Kat reluctant to let his name slip in her emotional heart-to-heart with Alfie, that secret will stay under wraps for now…
Show bosses have always promised to eliminate the suspects one by one, and this continues as another of the men will soon be officially ruled out as Ray was recently.
Meanwhile, those suggesting that Kat's mystery lover could be a shock outsider like Joey, Tyler or Fatboy may have to guess again, as next week's episodes make it pretty much certain that it's one of the named suspects.
As readers may have guessed from our spoiler for the Friday episode, this instalment is focused almost entirely on the Moons' affair dramas and Janine's shock ultimatum to Michael.
The Friday edition is penned by Simon Ashdown and only eight regular characters appear - Janine, Michael, Kat, Alfie, Derek, Max, Jack and Jean.

I think it is Jack or Derek
So we can expect another of Kat's speech about being dirty and damaged
EastEnders star Shane Richie has said that he does not believe Alfie Moon is naive to trust Kat Slater.
Queen Vic landlord Alfie learns about wife Kat's mystery love affair in next Thursday's (September 13) episode.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Richie admitted: "Kat makes an excuse that she's been out with Kim and he has to believe her. In a marriage you need to believe your partner or you've got nowhere to go."
Teasing the pair's showdown, the actor revealed: "Alfie's expecting Kat to admit there's some bloke that fancies her, but she breaks down.
"That's when he realises this is much bigger than he thought and she finally admits she betrayed him. So you're about to see Alfie's heart break in two.
"He doesn't think she'd lie to him again, not after everything that's happened in the past couple of years."
Branning brothers Derek, Max and Jack as well as Michael Moon are all contenders to be Kat's mystery lover.
I think it is Jack or Derek
not Jack - declaring love for kat when he is trying to get with Sharon??!
so derek then? (urrghh what a thought, no topless shots please!!)
EastEnders fans can expect emotional scenes for Kat and Alfie Moon this evening (September 14) as their marriage hits the rocks once again.
Last night, unfaithful Kat was finally honest with her husband, confessing to her infidelity at last.
As tonight's episode begins, Alfie (Shane Richie) is reeling following Kat's admission and he demands to know every detail about her affair.
A guilty Kat (Jessie Wallace) tries to make excuses for her behaviour, but soon decides that it's better to be honest with Alfie - telling him that she is confused as she thinks she may have fallen in love with her mystery man.
Alfie is disgusted but is also desperate to know the truth, so he pushes Kat to reveal the identity of her lover. When Kat refuses to do so, is there any hope left at all for her relationship with Alfie?
EastEnders airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.

I don't care for one and I'm getting even more bored with the fact that every time Kat is seen on the phone we then have to see all four of the "suspects" just putting down their phones or doing something "suspicious". It was a fairly interesting device the first time it was done but by the time it got to the millionth time (or so it seems) it became very yawnable.
