Meanwhile, Hollyoaks schemer Mercedes McQueen will continue to find herself at the centre of drama when she is kidnapped!

Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) has crossed a number of people in recent weeks, and she will soon add another enemy to her list - Mitzeee's newly-released cellmate Shayne.

Shayne has been desperate to secure some of Riley's cash, but when she turns up in the village and makes more demands, Riley and Mercedes team up and manage to double-cross her.

Show bosses are keeping tight-lipped about who kidnaps Mercedes the next day - has Shayne come back for revenge, or is somebody else responsible?

Monday

Mercedes is surprised to learn that the secrets she confided in Doctor Browning have only served to bring them closer together. However, is a shock discovery by Jacqui about to blow them further apart?

At the same time, Riley recruits Mercedes to help him get rid of Shayne.

Meanwhile, Tilly prepares for a future away from Hollyoaks with Jen, but isn't prepared for Jen's reaction.

Elsewhere, Leanne tries to stop Texas from leaving and Dodger determines to forget about her.

Also today, Walker has a proposition for Ally, while Myra leaves Mitzeee in no doubt how she feels about her as they clash in prison.


Tuesday

Jacqui's concerns for Mercedes grow as Doctor Browning struggles to convince Mercedes that they have a future together - is Mercedes falling for him in spite of herself?

Later, Mercy lands herself in even more trouble when she's kidnapped…

Meanwhile, Tilly is comforted by Neil as she struggles to accept Jen's news. But is Tilly prepared to roll over so easily?

Elsewhere, Dodger struggles to regain his mojo, while Texas makes plans for a future away from Hollyoaks.

Also today, Phoebe's efforts to force a wedge between George and Ryan don't go according to plan, while Ally gains Ash's forgiveness - but Walker has bigger plans for him.


Wednesday

Still hurting following Jen's revelation, Tilly acts out and finds herself in trouble with the police after stealing Jen's car.

Meanwhile, struggling to get her head around recent revelations, Mercedes focuses her attentions back on Riley.

Elsewhere, Texas's leaving party forces Dodger to take action, but are his words enough to stop her from leaving?

Also today, Joel and Cheryl begin to build bridges as they unite in their grief for Lynsey, while Ryan's arrival leaves Phoebe out in the cold.


Thursday

As Texas leaves for Australia, Dodger determines to make her stay - but will he catch her in time?

Meanwhile, Riley has some important decisions to make as he says goodbye to Mitzeee - but how will Mercedes deal with his latest news?

Elsewhere, it's GCSE results day for Esther and Bart. Have they done as well as expected?

Also today, the McQueens prepare for Myra's return, Phoebe ramps up her efforts to split up George and Ryan, while Maddie being back in the village leaves Esther on edge


Friday

Mercedes worries that she's about to lose Riley and Bobby for good. But when Riley makes a surprising proposition, is Mercedes about to get everything she ever dreamed of?

Meanwhile, Myra is on form as she settles back into the McQueens', but Jacqui can see the cracks.

Elsewhere, Maddie succeeds in alienating Esther from the group, and are Phoebe's plans to divide George and Ryan working?

Also today, Dodger reels after yesterday's events, while Jen tries to make amends with Tilly - but Tilly isn't about to forgive and forget.

Hollyoaks star Danny Mac has admitted that he would like his character Dodger Savage to settle down with a more serious relationship.

The actor, who has been with the show for over a year, said that he hopes Dodger can work things out with on-off love interest Texas Longford (Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove).

Dodger is secretly distraught in the coming days after Texas announces plans to leave the village in favour of a fresh start in Australia.

Mac, asked whether Dodger and Texas could be a good couple, told All About Soap: "I think they could, but who knows with those two? It depends on whether she stays in the village or goes overseas. It would be nice to see him change - he can't be a womaniser forever.

"If they do get together, I'd like them to have a normal relationship with normal ups and downs. It would be weird to see Dodger in love. It's a new side to him."

Dodger faces a race against time late next week, rushing to a coach station in a last-minute attempt to stop Texas from leaving.

Mac explained: "He sees the bus pull out and so he chases after it but can't stop it from leaving. It's one of those moments where you think that he's lost her, but then he turns round and she's sitting there at the station because she didn't get on the coach.

"It doesn't mean everything's okay, though - they still need to have a conversation about whether they can be a couple. It doesn't mean she's staying for good."

Texas's future will be revealed on Thursday, August 23 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

Riley Costello gets down on one knee to propose to his scheming ex-fiancée Mercedes Fisher – all over again.

“She was devastated when Riley dumped her after discovering her affair with his dad Carl on their wedding day.




“But with their son Bobby keeping them tied together forever, Riley decides he does want Mercedes to be his wife again.




“He’s convinced she’s a changed character and wants them to be a proper family. If only he knew the truth.”
