I think it's sweet about Chas and Dan.. He seems quite decent, unlike a lot of blokes she goes for

I think she is pushing herself to Dan to forget Cameron same thing she did with Paddy over Carl
Meanwhile, Emmerdale fans see an unlikely relationship begin later this month as Chas Dingle and Dan Spencer get together.
Dan (Liam Fox) can't believe his luck when he invites Chas out for a ride in his camper van and she accepts, keen to move on following her recent split from secret lover Cameron Murray.
Against the odds, the pair enjoy a great day out together, and it doesn't end there as Chas (Lucy Pargeter) later invites Dan to the back room of The Woolpack for some drinks.
Soon afterwards, Dan is taken aback when Chas makes a move on him - and they end up spending the night together.
The next morning, Dan is convinced that Chas will regret her actions and want nothing more to do with him. However, still on the rebound, Chas announces to everyone in the pub that Dan is now her boyfriend!

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Tuesday, August 14 at 7pm on ITV1.
Monday
Alex is awkward around Moira, although Andy assumes he is just avoiding work. Moira then steps in to defend Alex when Andy complains about his apparent lack of motivation. Later, Moira returns home from the pub to a highly charged atmosphere between herself and Alex. Suddenly, Adam bursts in, having returned from his trip - and Moira is relieved he hasn't seen anything going on between them.
Despite being pleased to see her son, Moira has mixed feelings about Adam being back. Adam thanks Alex for looking after his mum, unaware of what has been going on. Moira later comes downstairs to find Alex in the kitchen, and they both know they're playing with fire but can't resist kissing…
Meanwhile, Pearl is dismayed when she discovers that Marlon is taking Rhona and Paddy to court over Leo. She suggests they should stay in the village, but a stubborn Paddy says that Marlon can't control him. Later, Rhona spots Laurel squeeze Marlon's arm, and she realises his motivation for wanting to stay in Emmerdale. Rhona soon tells Paddy that Laurel is the reason Marlon suddenly wants to stay in the village. An annoyed Paddy wants to confront Marlon immediately, but Rhona warns him to stay away for the time being…
Elsewhere, Dan apologises to Chas for hitting on her, but is chuffed when she suggests another drink soon.
Tuesday
Paddy is still furious over Marlon, refusing to let him mess up their lives. However, Rhona thinks they should get confirmation first that Marlon and Laurel really are together. Rhona urges Paddy to follow Marlon outside, and Paddy is suspicious when he sees an exchange between Marlon and Laurel. In the pub kitchen, Paddy is angry as he questions Marlon about Laurel, wondering why he couldn't tell him. Marlon avoids the questions, but eventually asks him to keep the relationship quiet.
Later, Laurel and Marlon are left worried when Paddy visits and asks Marlon what is more important - them taking Leo away, or keeping their affair a secret?
Meanwhile, Debbie wants Chas to go shopping with her, but Chas refuses, insisting she is too busy. Moments later, however, Dan cannot believe his luck when Chas accepts his offer of going for a ride in his camper van. After a great day out, Dan is thrilled when Chas invites him in for some drinks. Bob and Pollard snidely comment that Chas is out of Dan's league, but Dan is chuffed to pieces when she invites him through to the back room of the pub. He is then taken aback when Chas makes a move on him, but he finally relaxes and they kiss passionately…
Elsewhere, Moira and Alex agree to put a stop to their fling as hiding the truth from Adam is too complicated, Zak is awkward when Lisa suggests they should make use of having the place to themselves, while Kerry is chuffed as she plans a meal for the family - but Pollard is irritated by her cheek as she wants to host it at his house.
Wednesday
Dan arrives home and admits to Bob that he spent the night with Chas. He is concerned that he has lost a friend, as he automatically assumes she will not be speaking to him again. At the same time, Priya realises who Chas spent the night with and taunts her. Chas's attention is elsewhere as she watches Cameron kiss Debbie. Annoyed, she turns her gaze back to Priya and warns her to stop mocking.
Soon afterwards, Chas visits Dan. He assumes she would think spending the night with him was a mistake, so doesn't hesitate in saying so. He explains that he still wants to be friends and Chas is unreadable, taking in Dan's thoughts. Later in The Woolpack, Chas kisses Dan, before shocking everyone by announcing that he is her boyfriend. She looks at Cameron for a reaction, but he just stares at her.
Meanwhile, Brenda is fuming when Pollard invites Val to Kerry's planned meal. As the gathering begins, Brenda feels left out as Val pushes her way to sit next to Pollard. Throughout the meal, Val attempts to reminisce about good times with Pollard, and Brenda is furious when Pollard entertains her comments.
When Kerry applauds Brenda for putting up with their behaviour, Brenda is livid that she has picked up on what is happening. Storming back inside, Brenda confronts Val - telling her to leave. However, in the end, it's Brenda who leaves upset.
Elsewhere, Alex is awkward as Moira and Adam return from visiting the place where John's ashes were scattered, while Rhona wonders what would happen if Ashley knew about Laurel and Marlon - but Laurel is determined to take the power from Paddy and tell Ashley herself.
Thursday
Pollard visits Brenda and apologises for making her feel left out. Later at the B&B, Kerry asks to borrow money from Amy, reminding her of a day at the fair they once had. Amy remembers Kerry took money from her piggy bank to pay for it. Soon afterwards, thinking the coast is clear as she does some cleaning, Kerry spots some petty cash and pockets a wad of notes - unaware that Val has seen everything.
Val is livid as she works out what Kerry has taken, but doesn't have the heart to tell Amy. Instead, Val interrupts Pollard, who is preparing lunch for Brenda. He is shocked when she tells him about Kerry stealing, but reassures her when she starts to worry that Kerry will take Amy away from them. Pollard and Val then become close and move in for a kiss, unaware Brenda is watching from outside…
Meanwhile, Marlon is furious with Paddy and says he is malicious for blackmailing him. Paddy replies that he is solely protecting his and Rhona's interests. In the café, Laurel finally tells Nicola that she and Marlon have been seeing one another. Nicola is shocked and advises her to tell Ashley and the kids. Later, Laurel has all intention of breaking the news to her family, but stops when Gabby tells her that she doesn't want things to change. Laurel is disheartened and reluctantly explains to Marlon that she was unable to break the news to the kids.
Elsewhere, Ali teases Dan over his new romance but admits she is chuffed for him, Cameron tells Chas that Dan isn't good enough for her, while Lisa is hurt that Zak has been asking Megan for advice and not talking to her.
Pollard pulls away from the kiss with Val. Mortified, he tells her to leave. Having witnessed the whole thing, Brenda is devastated and hurries away unseen. Soon afterwards, Kerry gives Amy a necklace and Pollard is conflicted, realising that she took the money to treat Amy. When Pollard questions Kerry about the missing cash, his heartstrings are tugged when Kerry becomes tearful.
Later in The Woolpack's back room, Pollard and Val are on edge with each other after their kiss. Val knows he is right when he suggests they should be extra vigilant around Kerry and hope she is telling the truth. Brenda is upset further to see Val and Pollard leaving the back room together. Towards the end of the day, Pollard finds Brenda with her overnight bag packed. She is tearful as she leaves, explaining that she knows he still loves Val.
Meanwhile, Chas is surprised as Dan explains that everyone seems happy for them except Cameron. Chas covers, explaining that he should ignore Cameron as he is a wind-up merchant. For the time being, Dan is thrown off the scent. However, Chas worries as she realises just how much Dan seems to adore her.
Elsewhere, Lisa is crushed when she overhears Zak telling Megan that he doesn't want to go home, while Marlon considers asking Ashley to move out.
Friday
There is a frosty atmosphere between Zak and Lisa as she tells him that she went up to check on him at Home Farm last night and overheard him talking openly to Megan. Later, a concerned Megan suggests that Zak and Lisa should go away to the coast and spend some time together, but Zak is uncomfortable with the conversation and leaves.
As the day continues, Lisa panics as Zak suggests they should go for a drink and talk. She assumes he is only there because Megan sent him and rejects the idea, leaving Zak feeling hopeless. At home, the pair feel as though they've reached the end of the line, and Zak says it's clear she can no longer stand the sight of him. He suggests he should go away to Ireland on his own for a while, and Lisa realises he is leaving her.
Meanwhile, Amy feels for Pollard as he explains that Brenda has finished things with him. Val is thrilled when she hears the news, convinced that the family will now get back to normal. Later, Brenda gets dressed up after Bob tells her that Pollard will be over to see her. However, she is soon deflated when Val arrives instead, telling her that it's about time she gave up on Pollard.
Elsewhere, Rachel agrees to look at some flats with Jai, while Dan feels inferior when Gennie tells him that Chas used to go out with Nikhil.
Someone is bound to see Rachel with Jai they are acting too friendly
