Meanwhile, Emmerdale's Marlon Dingle will soon decide that it's time to stand up to Paddy and Rhona over their plans to move to New Zealand with Leo.

Vowing to do everything possible to stop the couple from taking his son away, Marlon (Mark Charnock) resigns as Paddy's best man just days before his wedding - wanting to concentrate on a possible legal wrangle.

With the full support of Laurel, Marlon then pays a visit to a solicitor and is soon assured that he can make sure the move doesn't happen.

As the day of Paddy and Rhona's wedding arrives, Marlon decides to attend the ceremony after all. But can he bring himself to ruin their special day by revealing that he's applied for a court order ensuring that Leo won't be going to New Zealand?

Monday
Paddy is convinced Marlon has a surprise planned for his stag do, but is guilty when Marlon puts him straight. He hasn't given it much thought, as he is spending as much time as possible with his son. Marlon explains Paddy and Rhona's stag and hen party are in the same place at the same time. Paddy makes light of this, but Marlon is too upset to joke with him.

Later in The Woolpack, Paddy makes a speech about the big adventure he and Rhona are about to go on. Marlon's hurt becomes too much and he slips away to the kitchen unnoticed. Later, he tells Paddy he has tried his hardest to feel part of their plans but he can't. He asks Paddy to change his mind but is devastated when Paddy is unwilling to even consider. Later, an upset Marlon assures Laurel he will do anything it takes to stop them taking Leo away.

Meanwhile, Charity is impressed as Rishi shows her all the false addresses, information and customer comments he has created for the business. They are excited as they head out for the meeting. Later, Charity is beaming as she and Rishi celebrate the business meeting. They are enthusiastic about how well it went. Nikhil is suspicious of what they are up to.

Elsewhere in the village, Nikhil almost catches Jai secretly looking for brochures of flats to house Rachel and her unborn child.

Also today, Amy is mortified when Kerry launches herself at Cain in an attempt to stick up for her

Tuesday
Rachel is furious with Jai realising he hasn't told Charity the situation. He apologises, but explains he cannot lose Charity.

Later, Rachel is gobsmacked when Jai tells her he will pay for her to live in a posh flat in Leeds. Rachel is adamant she is proud of her baby and will not be hidden away, but Jai insists he just wants what is best for his child and doesn't want Rachel struggling to pay the bills.

But Rachel remains angry and insists that she and the baby are not for sale, leaving Jai gutted. Later, Jai attempts to talk Rachel round, explaining that the baby means everything to him. Rachel is touched as he says he wants to be a good dad, but cannot if she is living round the corner from him.

Marlon asks Laurel what she would do in his position and she encourages him to fight for his son, explaining she will support him one hundred percent. Marlon is fired up, ready to confront Paddy and Rhona. Paddy and Rhona are shocked as Marlon resigns from being best man. Paddy pleads with him to change his mind but Marlon doesn't back down, leaving Paddy devastated.

Later at Mulberry Cottage, Laurel supports Marlon with his decision to see a solicitor. Marlon is aware that Sandy will be home with the children any time and makes to leave, not wanting to put her in an awkward situation. He is grateful when Laurel agrees to meet him before he sees the solicitor the following day.

Meanwhile, Charity enjoys bluffing Jimmy and Carl over the contract, suggesting they listen to her proposal.

Elsewhere in the village, Amy finally agrees to give Kerry another chance.

Wednesday
Charity explains to Carl and Jimmy that she and Rishi have won the Strikes contract the Kings so desperately needed. Jimmy makes the point that they don't have any haulage but Charity is quick to shoot him down, explaining that Rishi has the funds to combat that issue. Jimmy quickly realises Charity is serious and looks to Carl for help. Charity offers the Strikes contract for a 25% stake of their business but Carl refuses, telling them to leave.

However, Carl is adamant he will not work with Charity and although Jimmy knows Charity bends the rules and plays outside the law, he realises she is the last hope of survival for the business. He says that if Carl doesn't speak to her he will do it himself, leaving Carl fuming. Jimmy attempts to haggle with Charity. Rishi pushes her to back down, aware Jimmy has to go back to his brother with an offer.

Charity lowers the percentage to 20%, but bluffs they have other companies to speak to. Jimmy demands he see the Strikes contract before he and Carl agree to anything.

Later, Rishi watches as Charity uses underhand methods to win the Strikes contract. Carl is furious to discover from Strikes that Charity has the contract and hurls the phone at the wall. Carl and Jimmy finally bring themselves to see Charity and Rishi, presenting them with an offer. Charity shows them the contract and demands 20% of their business. Carl grudgingly accepts, but is sceptical of how she won the contract.

Rachel is uneasy when Ali suggests she will need her family much more than a fancy flat in Leeds. Later, Jai is thrilled when Rachel explains she is willing to look at flats, but quickly deflates as she dictates where she will and will not live. Rachel later tells Ali she will be accepting the offer of a flat. Ali is supportive despite her feelings. Rachel breaks the news that she is pregnant to the rest of the family. They are shocked and wonder who the father is, and Ali worries that Rachel will be left to cope by herself.

Meanwhile, Paddy feels wretched, but accepts Marlon will not be best man. However, he pleads with him to come to the wedding.

Elsewhere, Marlon tells Laurel that the solicitor has explained he has got rights to 'reasonable access'.

Thursday
Paddy spends the night at the Dingles. He is down about Marlon not being his best man, but agrees when Chas offers to take it on. Marlon receives news from his solicitor that he can stop Paddy and Rhona from taking Leo to New Zealand. He contemplates his next move and Laurel urges him to go to the wedding.

In the church, Paddy is conflicted realising Marlon is definitely not coming to his wedding and allows Chas to lead him to the front of the church. Rhona arrives and Laurel wishes her good luck as they head inside. The ceremony begins and Paddy glances towards the door, hopeful that Marlon will arrive. Finally Marlon makes his decision and heads to the church. Paddy is delighted to see him, but Marlon wonders if he can bring himself to ruin their special day.

Jimmy and Carl are dreading the prospect of working with Charity. Charity tells Jai of her new venture and assures him she will cut a deal involving Sharma haulage. Charity arrives at Pear Tree Cottage. Immediately she wonders about getting rid of Edna, but Carl insists she is indispensable until Charity brings Edna's wage to their attention. She warns the King brothers that her solicitor will be over to get the contract signed, leaving them stunned at how quickly she is making changes. Later, Megan makes her feelings about Charity clear, telling Carl he has made a big mistake. Carl is adamant he will come out on top.

Meanwhile, Bob explains to Dan that Chas is out of his league, but Dan reminds him that she once went for Paddy.

Elsewhere in the village, David is shocked when Rachel tells him she is pregnant.

As Paddy and Rhona take their vows, Paddy interrupts, insisting Marlon should be up there with them. Paddy and Rhona are pronounced husband and wife and Paddy cannot thank Marlon enough for being there. However, Rhona wants the day to be about them and not Marlon.

The wedding reception takes place at Home Farm. Paddy interrupts Marlon and Laurel talking in the office and she covers that he was practising his best man's speech. Paddy is thrilled as Marlon convinces him everything is fine between them.

Later however, Paddy and Rhona are devastated as Marlon reluctantly explains he has applied for a court order ensuring Leo will not be going with them.

Carl and Jimmy reluctantly sign the contract and Charity tries to cover her triumph. The King brothers are intrigued by Charity's contract negotiations with Jai and surprised at how much she's managed to get him to agree to. Carl shows a flicker of being impressed with Charity, telling Megan he is willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Megan congratulates her through gritted teeth and Charity explains to a deflated Jai her plan to take over the King's business.

Elsewhere, Jai is frustrated after realising Rachel has told people she is pregnant, while Bob is surprised to see Dan getting closer to Chas at the reception.

Back at the wedding, Alex tries to focus on Victoria rather than Moira, but leaves the reception to go and see Moira at Home Farm.

Friday
Moira enjoys the attention from Alex as she announces they have got the restaurant contract. Later, Alex and Moira laugh as she teases him. Alex is embarrassed when Andy arrives and announces Alex has finished things with Victoria. Later, Alex compliments Moira as she is dressed to go out and the tension builds as she suggests they sort the order together. Moira is flustered when Alex takes control and says out loud what they have both been thinking the past few days. He gets close and she kisses him - adamant it is just a one-off.

Rhona rants at Paddy about Marlon's revelation and Paddy worries when she tells him she's going to see a lawyer. Meanwhile, Laurel comforts Marlon and he assures her she is not the reason he is not going to New Zealand. Rhona is angry after seeing the solicitor, and furious they might not be able to go. Paddy suggests that they phone to see if they can delay the job.

Chas worries for a troubled Marlon, as he tells her he is getting legal help with the Leo situation whilst in the café. Later that day, Laurel feels compromised as Rhona tells her about Marlon threatening to take her and Paddy to court. Knowing they have no choice, Paddy and Rhona speak to Marlon. They argue about Leo, insulting one another, and Marlon crosses a line making reference to the fact that Leo is not Paddy's son.

Meanwhile, Dan's low after failing to chat up women on a night out with Bob and tries his luck with Chas instead, but she's unsure of her feelings towards him.

Elsewhere in the village, Charity tells Carl and Jimmy that they are overstaffed and changes need to be made.

Emmerdale's Natalie J Robb has stated that Moira and Alex's romance will never be emotional.

Speaking to Soaplife, the actress revealed that the pair's fling will last until Moira's son Adam returns to the village from holiday.

The star disclosed: "Once Adam is back, Alex's attitude changes a bit. He begins to see the consequences of it while Moira still thinks it's just a bit of fun. She doesn't think anyone will ever find out."

Clarifying the terms of Moira and Alex's relationship, Robb said: "In no way at all is Alex a replacement for John. In a way, the fact he's so much younger and it can't possibly go anywhere is the reason she's able to do it. It's fun and the sex is good."

Farmer John Barton died in a horrendous car crash last year, leaving widowed wife Moira depressed for months afterwards.

The 37-year-old recently commented on her on-screen chemistry with 21-year-old co-star Kurtis Stacey, who plays Alex.

Emmerdale viewers will see Moira and Alex finally succumb to their passion on Friday (August 10).

Emmerdale's Rachel Breckle is left feeling conflicted this evening (August 7) as Jai Sharma remains determined to keep their baby news a secret.

Rachel (Gemma Oaten) is becoming increasingly irritated with Jai (Chris Bisson) as he still hasn't told Charity about their situation, leaving them in a state of limbo.

Things become more confusing for Rachel when Jai offers to pay for her to live in an expensive flat away from the village.

Rachel is shocked and furious that Jai seemingly wants to hide her and the baby away as guilty secrets. However, when Jai insists that the secrecy would only be a temporary measure, will Rachel be tempted by the security that Jai can offer her?

Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV1.

Emmerdale's Marlon Dingle kicks off his fight for Leo this evening (August 8) as he heads to see a solicitor.

Desperate to stop Paddy and Rhona from moving to New Zealand with his son, Marlon (Mark Charnock) is keen to find out where he stands legally so that he can plot the next step.

Later, Marlon is grimly satisfied as he reports back to Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy), who is still supporting him every step of the way.

Marlon explains that his solicitor has confirmed he has the right to "reasonable" parental access, which wouldn't be possible if the move went ahead.

As Laurel points out that things could be about to turn nasty, Marlon admits that it's a risk he's willing to take…

Emmerdale star Dominic Brunt has warned that his character Paddy Kirk may have to show a nastier side as his current custody battle storyline continues.

Paddy's plans to move to New Zealand with partner Rhona (Zoe Henry) for two years are currently being threatened by Marlon Dingle, as the pub chef does not want his young son Leo to be taken away from him.

Speaking on This Morning today (August 9), Brunt confirmed that Paddy's friendship with Marlon will continue to be severely tested in the coming weeks.

Brunt explained: "I think it's going to get worse before it gets better. It gets very, very dark, and that's great to play.

"You get the scripts sometimes and say, 'Oh, Paddy wouldn't do that - he's a nice chap'. But actually, you think, 'I'm going to play this, see how dark we can get it, and then pull him out the other end'. They love each other and eventually I think it will come good."

The actor admitted that it has been enjoyable to film so many heated scenes with Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon.

He said: "It's superb drama. We've been screaming and shouting at each other for days - it's great. It's brilliant, as it's a right good release. You can walk out completely calm, because you've been screaming and shouting all day!"

Emmerdale airs a double bill at 7pm and 8pm this evening (August 9) as Paddy and Rhona's wedding day arrives.
