Over on Coronation Street, old friends become bitter rivals as Lloyd Mullaney's return to Weatherfield spells trouble for Steve McDonald.

Steve (Simon Gregson) finds Lloyd in an embarrassing situation early next month when he spots that Lloyd has broken down while working in a taxi owned by rival firm Prima. Explaining that the job is a stop gap, a sheepish Lloyd is forced to reveal that he lost most of his money in an ill-advised property deal.

Lloyd (Craig Charles) is delighted when Steve immediately takes pity on him, offering him a spare room at the flat and a place back at Streetcars. The only problem is that Lloyd wrongly assumes Steve wants him back as co-owner rather than just a driver!

Later, Lloyd excitedly tells Steve that the bank has agreed to lend him the money to buy back into Streetcars. However, following a bad day, Steve loses patience - announcing in no uncertain terms that he's not selling shares after the mess Lloyd left him in last time.

As the week continues, events take a strange turn for Steve when several of his clients start calling up to cancel their Streetcars accounts. Steve is shocked to hear that they've all decided to start using a new business called Fare Ladies, which offers better rates and female drivers.

It soon transpires that Lloyd is the mastermind behind the rival company, having used his bank loan to buy a local firm that went bust. Making no apologies for his betrayal, Lloyd reminds Steve that he offered him the chance to go into business and was turned down.

Lloyd's ruthless side continues as he invites Eileen (Sue Cleaver) out for a meal at the Bistro, asking her to quit Streetcars in favour of a higher salary at Fare Ladies.

When Steve interrupts their meeting, he's furious over Lloyd's latest stunt - and a shocked Eileen soon finds herself at the centre of a bidding war between the two men! Where do Eileen's loyalties lie? And will Steve and Lloyd's feud spiral out of control?

Monday

Business is booming at Streetcars as a nearby taxi firm has gone bust. Steve is out in his cab when he spots smoke coming from a taxi owned by rival firm Prima - and to his surprise, Lloyd walks out of the smoke towards him. Explaining that the job is a stop gap, an embarrassed Lloyd is forced to reveal that he lost most of his money in an ill-advised property deal.

Insisting on helping his old mate, Steve fetches Lloyd back to the street, offering him the spare room at the flat and to come back to Streetcars. A chuffed Lloyd accepts. But when Lloyd bumps into an irked Karl and makes it clear that he's going to be his boss again, Steve is puzzled - he was offering Lloyd a job as a driver, not co-owner. How is Steve going to get himself out of this one?

Meanwhile, Marcus has spent the night at Maria's, but as he returns to Number 11 to pick up his things, he and Sean come face to face. It's emotional as they remember the happier times, but they manage to part on good terms as Marcus reveals that he's moving back to London for a clean break. However, when Marcus tells Maria of his plans, she's floored and puts forward a compelling case for him to stay. Will Marcus agree?

Elsewhere, with Fiz, Katy and Chesney all struck down with a virus, Anna offers to take Hope and Joseph to hers for a few days. Seeing her struggling, Gary and Izzy offer to help.

Also today, when Hayley's salsa partner is taken ill on the day of her exam, she asks Norris to step in as a replacement.

As Lloyd moves his things into the flat, Eileen urges Steve to set him straight about their 'partnership'. Knowing the conversation is going to be awkward, Steve is keen to avoid it as he arranges for Kevin to view Number 13. Once there, Tracy and Beth do their best to put Kevin off the house. Kevin sees through it, but when he tells Steve of their plan, Steve is furious - sick of people treating him like a mug.

When Lloyd then walks into the cab office revealing that the bank have agreed to lend him the money to buy back into Streetcars, Steve lets rip. As he explains that he's not selling shares after the mess Lloyd left him in last time, Lloyd is stung and old tensions resurface.

Meanwhile, as Izzy and Gary take over the babysitting while Anna goes to work, Izzy quizzes Gary over how he feels about babies. Will she get the answer she's hoping for?

Elsewhere, Sean is thrown when Marcus reveals that he's decided to stay around and is living at Maria's. Can Sean deal with the love of his life living just over the road?

Also today, as Hayley drags Norris off to the dance exam, Roy and Mary settle down to a game of chess. Who will triumph?

Wednesday

When all of Steve's clients start calling to cancel their Streetcars accounts, he's shocked to hear that a new business called Fare Ladies is offering better rates and female drivers. Believing he's tackling a 'clueless woman', Steve heads over there and demands to speak to the owner. But he's stunned to discover that it's Lloyd!

Steve can't believe his betrayal but Lloyd is defiant, reminding Steve that he offered him the chance to go into business and was turned down. He's now decided to set up on his own, buying the local firm that went bust. How will Steve react?

Later, when Tracy hears about Lloyd's sabotage, she tells Steve she has a plan…

Meanwhile, Gary and Izzy are knackered as they spend a second day looking after Hope and Joseph. It's made Gary realise that he's not ready for kids yet. This troubles Izzy and she confides in Fiz that she's pregnant! Fiz urges her to tell Gary, but after all his talk about how hard babies are, Izzy's not sure…

Elsewhere, Sean is determined not to let Marcus know that he's gutted over Marcus's decision to stick around. Sean lies that Julie is setting him up on a hot date, but when Marcus comes into the pub with Aiden, it's Sean that's heartbroken.

Also today, Faye is fed up with school and is not looking forward to sports day.

Thursday

When Tracy turns up at Fare Ladies hoping to land the job of switch operator, Lloyd is suspicious. However, Tracy claims that Steve is trying to evict her and she wants to get her revenge as much as he does. Lloyd buys Tracy's tale and gives her the job. With her training complete, Lloyd heads out and Tracy sets to work, sending cabs the wrong way and passing on bookings to Steve so that he can intercept jobs.

Later, as Lloyd heads back to Eileen's after a tough day, Tracy seizes the opportunity to hand Steve the details of Lloyd's contracts so he can undercut Fare Ladies. But when Eileen spots them talking, will she put two and two together?

Meanwhile, Izzy is in turmoil, but with a nudge from Fiz, she reveals to Gary that she's pregnant. Gary is in shock as Izzy admits that she knows he doesn't want kids yet and doesn't expect him to stand by her. How will Gary react?

Elsewhere, when Sean accuses Marcus of starting a new life with Aiden already, Marcus puts him straight - Aiden is just a mate. Can Marcus and Sean cope with living in each other's pockets?

Also today, Faye is disappointed when Anna can't afford the branded trainers she was keen on for sports day.

Friday

As Tracy makes plans with Steve for Amy's sports day later, she turns it into a row for Lloyd and Eileen's benefit. But at Fare Ladies, Tracy takes the keys to the cars and furtively opens the petrol caps. When the cars fail to start, an annoyed Lloyd calls Tyrone who reveals they've been sabotaged - someone has put something in the fuel tanks.

Lloyd is gutted, revealing to Eileen that the cost of repairs could put him out of business. Unable to hold her tongue any longer, Eileen suggests that he has a mole in his camp. Will Lloyd catch Tracy out?

Meanwhile, when Simon asks if Nick can come to the birthday tea Peter's putting on for him, he's forced to agree. But when Peter hears Nick is also going to Simon's sports day, he resents him muscling in on his territory. This isn't helped when Simon insists Nick take part in the dads' sack race and the two men face off. Who will take victory?

Elsewhere, Anna is chuffed when Roy tells her to finish work early and go to Faye's sports day to surprise her. But when Anna arrives, Faye is nowhere to be seen - where is she?

Also today, Izzy is scared about her pregnancy and visits Doctor Carter to discuss how her condition will affect her ability to carry the child. Will Gary be by her side?

Steve is watching Amy at sports day when Lloyd comes charging towards him. Realising he's baying for blood, Steve runs. However, Lloyd catches up with him and tackles him to the ground. As a fight ensues, the kids watch in horror.

Arriving at the scene, Tracy is forced to confess to sabotaging Lloyd's cabs. Steve is furious and as Brian gives them both a lecture, Steve apologises to Lloyd before returning to the street to have it out with Tracy. When Steve admits that he should never have got involved with her again, Tracy is hurt - she was trying to save his business and expected him to be grateful. Will Steve forgive Tracy, and can he and Lloyd find a way forward?

Meanwhile, Peter is still smarting after events at sports day, but as they arrive back at the flat, he's determined to impress Simon with his birthday tea. But will Carla's best efforts be recognised and can Peter, Carla, Leanne and Nick really get along together, even for Simon's sake?

Elsewhere, when Anna finds Faye at home, she rails at her for bunking off school. Faye stomps out, but when a classmate confronts her on the street, bullying her about being adopted, her behaviour is explained. Will Faye confide in Anna?

Also today, Izzy admits that she's not ready to tell people about her pregnancy as she worries about how dad Owen might react.
