Corrie reunion

Coronation Street's Leanne Barlow makes a decision that shocks everyone later this month as she reunites with Nick Tilsley.

Leanne (Jane Danson) is still feeling lonely following her split from Peter, so she decides to put herself first and get back with Nick when the businessman suddenly declares his love for her.

The story begins as Leanne's half-sister Eva begs Nick (Ben Price) to take her back. When he rejects her once again, Eva suspects there is someone else on his mind - so Nick is forced to admit there is but won't say who.

Later, Audrey advises Nick to tell the mystery girl in question how he feels. Taking his gran's suggestion on board, Nick soon tells Leanne that he's still madly in love with her, always has been and always will be.

Leanne then causes a stir by deciding to go for it with Nick, despite the fact that Eva still has feelings for him.

Eva is furious over the development, convinced that this relationship has been going on for a while and that Leanne has played her for a fool.

Stella also thinks the reunion is a recipe for disaster as she isn't sure whether Leanne really loves Nick. But will Leanne listen to the protests from those around her?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, June 25 at 8.30pm on ITV1.

Monday

Leanne is in turmoil - she may now officially be caring for Simon, but she is still hurt as she watches Peter and Carla together. Soon afterwards, Leanne politely declines to speak to Nick on Eva's behalf, so Eva decides it's time she told Nick how she really feels herself. Baring her soul, Eva begs Nick for another chance, but Nick insists it's over.

A crushed Eva suspects there's someone else, so Nick is forced to admit there is but won't say who. However, when Audrey advises Nick to tell the girl how he feels, he goes over to the bar and explains to Leanne that he's still madly in love with her, always has been and always will be. How will Leanne react?

Meanwhile, Eva has got her eye firmly on Sunita, convinced something has gone on between her and Karl but having no evidence to prove it. When Stella heads out, leaving Eva in charge of the pub, Sunita's face falls. Is Eva onto her?

Elsewhere, Sean is put out by the amount of time Marcus is spending with new colleague Aiden. To appease Sean, Marcus offers to take him out for dinner, just the two of them. But when he arrives back from work to find Aiden with Marcus, how will Sean react?

Also today, Mary railroads Norris into taking her ballroom dancing.

As a stunned Eva asks Nick and Leanne for an explanation, Leanne tries to explain that nothing has been going on. However, Eva slaps Leanne - convinced she's been playing her for a fool.

Leanne denies this, but as Nick states that Leanne is the love of his life, Eva is devastated. Seeing how upset she is, Leanne orders Nick out - has he blown it?

Meanwhile, with Aiden upset after a family row about his coming out, Marcus refuses to leave him. But as Aiden then crashes their meal, Sean struggles to hide his discontent. When he suggests Aiden is not welcome, how will Marcus react?

Elsewhere, as Eva makes Sunita clean the toilets, she seethes. Witnessing the tension and worried Eva may be about to expose his affair with Sunita, Karl assures Eva of his loyalty to Stella. Thinking he's put an end to the sniping, Karl heads upstairs but Eva isn't prepared to lay off Sunita just yet - she wants her out!

Also today, Hayley takes Norris and Mary along to one of her salsa classes.

Wednesday

Eva and Stella are shocked as Leanne reveals that she is back with Nick. Leanne promises that they only got together last night, but Eva is furious and insists either Leanne moves out or she will. With all eyes on her, Stella is forced to ask Leanne to leave.

As Leanne packs her bags and heads for Nick's, Stella is sad to be losing her daughter, asking if she is sure she loves Nick. Leanne is not sure but reckons love is overrated - she followed her heart with Peter and had it broken, this time she's decided to follow her head and she knows Nick won't hurt her. Stella thinks it's a recipe for disaster, but will Leanne listen?

Meanwhile, when Eva tells Peter the news, he storms over to the Bistro - finding Leanne and Simon with Nick. As he lays into Nick, will Leanne doubt her decision?

Elsewhere, it's frosty between Sean and Marcus after last night's row and when Violet cancels Dylan's visit this week, their moods worsen. With tensions rising, Marcus storms off and heads into town with Aiden for a drink. But when Aiden comes onto him, will Marcus respond?

Also today, Mary is keen to attend another dance class, but Norris is desperate to put her off - explaining to Emily that she's a terrible dancer. But will Norris be able to let her down gently?

Finally, Eva orders Sunita round at The Rovers as she does her best to force her to quit.

Friday

As Sean wakes alone, he is convinced that Marcus has stayed at Aiden's. But Marcus is on Maria's sofa and is in no mood to explain himself to Sean. As Marcus calls at Number 11 to get ready for work, Sean wants to talk now - but Marcus insists he hasn't got time and they can speak later.

Working himself into a stupor, Sean follows Marcus to work and demands they talk before launching a slanderous attack on Aiden. How will Marcus react, and how will his boss feel as Sean causes a commotion at the hospital?

Meanwhile, as Leanne heads into town to look for work, Nick takes Simon for breakfast. Witnessing this, Peter's blood boils, leaving Carla wondering if it's more than Nick's relationship with Simon that Peter is jealous of!

Elsewhere, Sunita is determined not to let Eva force her out of her job. But does she have any ammo for the fight?

Also today, Norris has a lot of apologising to do if he's to make it up to Mary.

As Marcus is given a lecture for being unprofessional at work, Sean realises he's got it wrong and tries to apologise. Back on the street, Sean regrets going in all guns blazing, insisting his insecurities just took over. Responding, Marcus reveals that he's never looked at another man, but all this mistrust does prove there's something badly wrong with their relationship.

As Sean pleads with Marcus to go back to the way things were, Marcus isn't sure they can - they want different things now. Marcus wants a family, but is Sean prepared to reconsider adoption? As both wonder where this leaves them, could it be the end?

Meanwhile, as Peter overhears Nick suggesting that Leanne starts working in the Bistro with him, he's spoiling for a fight. Dragging him away, Carla urges Peter to accept that Leanne is moving on and draw a line under his acrimony with Nick for Simon's sake. Will Peter agree?

Elsewhere, as Hayley heads off dancing with Norris, all of Mary's old feelings of inadequacy return - until Roy challenges her to a game of chess.

Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has defended his character Sean Tully's upcoming suspicions over partner Marcus Dent.

Sean's relationship will hit the rocks in the coming days as he becomes jealous and concerned over Marcus's friendship with work colleague Aiden. His paranoia soon leaves Marcus (Charlie Condou) furious, leading to a shock split for the couple.

However, Cotton today (June 20) told This Morning that he can understand why Sean gets so annoyed over the situation.

Cotton commented: "Sean, all of a sudden, is jealous. Well actually, there's a reason why, because Marcus has spent loads of time with Maria and now this Aiden's tipped up, so it's getting on his nerves, I think. That's quite understandable."

The actor said that Sean's fears may not be entirely unfounded, hinting that Marcus and Aiden could indeed become more than just friends in the long term.

He explained: "It's not the case at that moment. But we must all learn to honour our instincts, because I think that Sean's instincts might prove to be right. And I can't say any more than that!"

Cotton suggested that Marcus's desire to be a father is another reason why the relationship fails.

"They do want different things," he confirmed. "Sean already has his son Dylan and it's a big responsibility, so he doesn't want to do something just for the sake of keeping something going that maybe has run its course."

Coronation Street airs Sean and Marcus's troubles next week on ITV1.

Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has admitted that he is glad to see his character Sean Tully back on the dating market.

Sean has big changes ahead next week as he splits from partner Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) when jealousy comes between them.

The couple hit the rocks when Sean reacts badly to Marcus's growing friendship with work colleague Aiden, played by Toby Sawyer.

Cotton told Soaplife: "When they've both calmed down, they have a real talk about how they're feeling. Marcus reveals he doesn't know how he feels about Sean any more and questions whether they'll be able to work through this.

"In the end, it's Sean who does the breaking up. It's utterly heartbreaking for both of them."

He added: "It's been great with Marcus and it's sad when they split up, but they do split up for the right reasons. I prefer it when Sean's single because he's optimistic. I'm looking forward to him talking about boys again."

Coronation Street airs Sean and Marcus's break-up next Friday (June 29) on ITV1.

Coronation Street's reunited couple Leanne Barlow and Nick Tilsley face opposition from all directions this evening (June 27).

Leanne (Jane Danson) causes a stir in tonight's episode by telling Stella and Eva that she has decided to make a go of things with Nick. This leads to more trouble at The Rovers as Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) is still convinced that the relationship has been ongoing for a long while.

Stella (Michelle Collins) also finds it difficult to support Leanne and ultimately asks her to move out of the pub when Eva threatens to pack her bags.

When Peter hears what's going on, he sparks the final row of the day by turning up at the Bistro and making it clear that he's not happy to have Simon living at Nick's flat. With so much drama surrounding her relationship already, will Leanne begin to doubt her decision or stand firm?
