The Rovers Return is a central point for all characters in Corrie but since Michelle Collins was given the role as manager, she has featured more than any other manager/owner

Its no different in any soap. The pub plays a pivotal role in all storylines as its a focal point for all characters and a meeting place. The Woolpack in Emmerdale and the Queen Vic in Deadenders are the same. Its only since Fool Collinsons favourite appeared on the scene that the pub landlord/landlady has had to feature in every storyline in Corrie

I'm just hoping that her contract is linked to the number of screen appearances and the sooner it's done the better and she can leave. Even the cast promotion pics she's at the forefront. One final wish ,is the next character with problems tells her to keep her nose out, put her own house in order , and to sod off into the wide blue yonder and take her dippy family with her.
So does the affair come out this week Devendra should land one on sleazy Karl

So does the affair come out this week Devendra should land one on sleazy Karl
Yeah once he's packed Sunita's bags and scattered them all over the street. Poor Dev he's not one of my favourite characters but you can't help but feel sorry for him.
Over on Coronation Street, Eva Price gets dangerously close to the truth about Sunita and Karl's affair.
Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) becomes increasingly irritated by Sunita (Shobna Gulati) in the coming days as the barmaid continues to stay at The Rovers following the breakdown of her relationship with Dev.
Karl (John Michie) isn't pleased by Sunita's presence either, shocked by how she is accepting support from Stella when they have been betraying her with their secret fling. Amid the tension, Sunita spots a new closeness between Karl and Stella and feels hurt by Karl's treatment of her.
Later, Eva overhears an angry Sunita telling Karl that she's not going to keep his grubby little secrets anymore. Entering the back room, Eva finds Karl and Sunita flustered and spots some bank notes sticking out of Karl's pocket. Puzzled by what she's just witnessed, is Eva on to Karl and Sunita?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, June 18 at 7.30pm on ITV1.
Monday
Eva is becoming increasingly annoyed by Sunita staying at The Rovers. Karl also doesn't want Sunita around given their affair, so he sees an opportunity to milk this - saying that Sunita is a freeloader who is preying on Stella's good nature. Amid Eva's sniping, Sunita sees a new closeness between Karl and Stella. Hurt by Karl's treatment of her, will Sunita decide to go back to Dev and make the most of what she had?
Later, Eva overhears Sunita telling Karl that she's not going to keep his grubby little secrets anymore. Entering the back room, she finds Karl and Sunita flustered and spots some bank notes sticking out of Karl's pocket. Puzzled by what she's just witnessed, is Eva on to Karl and Sunita?
Meanwhile, as Peter and Leanne discuss some ground rules regarding Simon, they realise it's not going to be easy. Can they get on for Simon's sake? And as Leanne snipes that Peter must really love Carla to sacrifice his own son for her, will he have any regrets?
Elsewhere, still in love with Nick, Eva is determined to use her date with Jason to make Nick jealous and show him what he's missing. But has Nick got eyes for someone else?
Also today, Tracy and Beth are horrified to see a For Sale sign outside Number 13, but Steve is adamant - it's his house and he's selling it.
Wednesday
Eva collars Karl and quizzes him on what she saw last night, but he denies there's anything going on between him and Sunita. However, when Stella waxes lyrical about Karl, Eva can't bear it and tells her mum what she overheard last night and about the money she saw in Karl's pocket.
Stella assumes that Karl is gambling again, and going in search of proof, she finds the £7,000 that Sunita gave back to Karl. Devastated, Stella throws Karl's bags out onto the street and tells him it's over. When Steve attempts to plead Karl's case, will Stella reconsider?
At the same time, over at the Alahans', Sunita tells Dev that she thought the grass was greener, but she now knows it isn't and wants to makes things work. Dev is relieved, but when Sunita clumsily proposes, how will he respond?
Meanwhile, Jason is puzzled when Eva insists on the Bistro for their date, feeling awkward around Nick. He does his best to charm her by trying to make her laugh, but Eva's not in the mood. Can Jason lift her spirits? Eva also wants to cry on Nick's shoulder about Stella and Karl, but will Nick play ball?
Elsewhere, as Peter and Carla head out to the Bistro, Peter is clearly lost without Simon. Desperate to make Peter happy, Carla suggests they should think about having kids of their own. How will Peter react?
Also today, Tracy and Beth conspire to put a potential viewer off Number 13.
Coronation Street star Shobna Gulati has insisted that she is pleased with the reaction to her ongoing affair storyline.
The actress has been flooded with messages on Twitter over the latest plot for Sunita Alahan, which has seen the barmaid cheating on partner Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) with gambling addict Karl Munro (John Michie).
Sunita is currently staying at The Rovers after being taken in by Karl's oblivious girlfriend Stella (Michelle Collins). However, Karl is stunned that she is allowing herself to be comforted by the woman they are betraying.
Writing on her Twitter page last night (June 11), Gulati said that she had received "bonkers" messages from fans over the storyline.
However, the 45-year-old soon added: "I think it's great you lot spill your feelings out re: Sunita, I love it. I've never caused so much controversy… Love my job."
Gulati continued: "And before I sleep and just to put your minds at rest, I haven't on telly or in real life boiled any bunnies…"
Next week's Coronation Street episodes see Sunita realise she has made a mistake by dumping Dev, before attempting to fix things with a hasty marriage proposal.
Gulati has previously blasted "misogynistic" comments on Twitter regarding Sunita's antics.
I must be one of the misogynists then. The character of Sunita has been ruined. She has been turned into a bunny boiler. She seem to have discovered she has a huge cleavage which she now feels she must flaunt to everyone. Luckily enough she has St. Ella to advise her

Dev can be a prat but the way she turned all the blame on him and behaved so bitchy last night makes me feel more sorry for Dev
This affair has ruined the character Sunita
Dev loves himself so much he doesn't need a partner. Sunita clearly likes losers, so she should get together with Peter Barlow. Karl clearly likes straying with women who have unconventional looks, so he could make Gail happy for a while. Can't think of any character looking for a fishwife at the moment, so Leanne will have to stay single! Having a go at someone for leaving a bottle of wine around when she wants the man-child Simon to live at a pub was priceless!
how many rooms upstairs does the pub have??
one for St Ella and karl
one for Eva
one for leanne
one now for Sunita
is it another expandable soap building?

I'm still team Dev, Sunita is being a b*tch
I assume Leanne will try and get her own place if she gets custody of Simon
Carla must still have her own flat, as thats where i thought she went off to last night when Peter dismissed her?
and isnt Michelle still living in it too?

Didnt Michelle rent her flat back from Dev over the kebah/Morton's chippy shop? I remember Carla giving her the cash for the deposit as she wanted her gone so she and Peter could have alone time
She told Peter last night she was going round to Michelle's place
she may have done now you say it...? so what has happened to Carla's flat?
Coronation Street star Shobna Gulati has admitted that Sunita and Dev Alahan's upcoming engagement may not save their troubled relationship.
Sunita finally returns home to Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) next week after being rejected by secret lover Karl Munro (John Michie). She then attempts to fix things with Dev by making a hasty marriage proposal.
Viewers will see that Dev agrees to re-marry Sunita, but whether they truly can get back on track remains to be seen.
Asked why Sunita reunites with Dev, Gulati told Soaplife: "Because Karl doesn't want her. Yes, she got bored with Dev and the way he treated her, but maybe she can see now that the grass isn't greener. She's had her heart broken and now she needs some security."
However, Gulati added that Sunita is still in turmoil as news of her engagement spreads.
She said: "The funny thing is that Dev announces their engagement in the pub and instead of making her feel brilliant and vengeful, she feels awkward around Karl. She's obviously not over him. And is he over her?"
Coronation Street airs the proposal episode next Wednesday (June 20) at 7.30pm on ITV1.
Coronation Street's Stella Price declares that her relationship with Karl Munro is over in Wednesday night's (June 20) episode of the soap.
Stella (Michelle Collins) is furious when Eva tells her that she walked in on something strange between Karl and Sunita the previous day, convinced that it involves his gambling addiction.
When Stella goes in search of proof, she finds a hidden stash of cash upstairs and realises that Karl (John Michie) has been lying to her again.
Devastated, Stella throws Karl's bags out onto the street and tells him it's over. But when Steve attempts to plead Karl's case, will Stella reconsider?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV1.

It takes a bigger effort than most are willing to give to make a marriage work.
Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has predicted that her character Eva Price will bounce back from her current troubles.
Viewers will see that Eva has lots on her mind in the coming days as she rightly suspects that Karl Munro - partner of her mum Stella - has been sleeping with Sunita Alahan.
Eva is also nursing heartache of her own as she is struggling following her split from Nick Tilsley.
Tyldesley told Key 103 today (June 20): "They just keep throwing all these things at her - she's having a right time of it at the minute! But she's her mother's daughter, so I'm sure she'll get through it."
She continued: "Being very careful about what I say, it's all kicking off this week and next week. Eva's definitely on to Karl and Sunita."
Tyldesley added that she is sad to be appearing in fewer scenes with Ben Price, who plays the role of Nick.
She commented: "I'm missing working with him. He's the sweetest guy and he's very, very funny. We laugh the whole time."
However, the 28-year-old also praised the introduction of newcomer Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) following rumours that Eva will be enjoying a future romance with Weatherfield's latest charmer.
She said: "[He's] new Street totty. Eva is on a bit of a rebound, so you never know!"
Coronation Street continues tonight (June 20) at 7.30pm on ITV1.
