Derek has come over all paternal in the House - according to Makosi anyway.
He listened patiently to Makosi complaining about her treatment last night, occasionally adding cryptic advice as she called him a "father to everyone" in the House.
She told him what she said in the Diary Room: "Derek yells at me sometimes. It upsets me but he's like a father to me."
"Ohh, darling," said Derek.
"It's immaculate how you don't take sides. You had a go at me but still said it wasn't justified for me to be yelled at. But you said that, morally, what I did was wrong. It takes a man to do what you did," she told him.
He certainly didn't have a problem with all the drama Makosi is generating. "Better to be talked about than not talked about at all," he told her.
"It's like a dinner party. It's always better to leave five minutes early than ten minutes late," he advised. "Some people will never know when their time's up."
But who could he be talking about?
