Coronation Street couple Tina McIntyre and Tommy Duckworth face more turmoil next month as loan shark Rick Neelan turns nasty once again.

Tina (Michelle Keegan) is left furious in early June when she spots Tommy (Chris Fountain) meeting up with Rick. Back at home, Tina soon demands answers, staggered that her boyfriend has gone behind her back.

A guilty Tommy is forced to confess all to Tina, explaining that he has been hiding drugs in cars as his dad never paid back his debts and Rick is now holding him to ransom.

Tommy pleads with an angry Tina to forgive him, but she isn't sure she can trust him anymore unless he calls Rick and tells him the deals are off.

Faced with the thought of losing Tina, Tommy agrees and attempts to stand up to Rick. However, Rick turns the tables on the pair by setting his heavies on Tommy and forcing Tina to watch.

When Rick eventually leaves, he promises that he'll be in touch about Tommy's next job. Is there any way out of this mess for Tommy and Tina?

There are mutters of disapproval as Paul arrives at the church with Eileen. Leaning on Eileen, Paul delivers a loving eulogy for Lesley. Outside, however, Lesley's sister rants at Paul and accuses him of abandoning Lesley for Eileen. Seeing Paul is upset, Eileen defends him, wondering where Lesley's sister was when Paul needed help caring for her.

Immediately regretting her outburst, Eileen rushes back to the street where she recounts her ordeal in the pub, fearing Paul will never forgive her. However, when Paul walks into The Rovers, he reveals that he wants her to take down the For Sale sign and take him back because he loves her. How will Eileen react?

Meanwhile, knowing that he needs to tackle Sophie quickly, Karl heads over and admits that Sunita has told him about her concerns. Playing Sophie, he appears guilty as he admits the real reason he and Sunita are close is that she's helping him with his gambling problem. Will Sophie accept this?

Elsewhere, as a row breaks out between Leanne, Peter and Carla, the court officer is forced to step in. Alone with Carla, an angry Peter wonders what she was playing at. Carla is gutted to realise she could have ruined his case.

Also today, Tommy claims that he's started carrying out valeting jobs when Tyrone catches him working on Rick's car after hours at the garage, while Faye isn't happy that Anna is working so often - but Anna is adamant that she has to do it as they need the cash.

Thursday

Tina is suspicious as Tommy gets another text from Rick, telling him that his next car will arrive today. As it's dropped at the garage, Tommy lies that it's another valeting job. Later, Tyrone has trouble starting his own car and he needs to get Kirsty to a hospital appointment, so he grabs the keys and borrows the vehicle.

Later, arriving back from lunch with Tina, Tommy goes into meltdown. Presuming the car has been stolen, a terrified Tommy is forced to call Rick. However, when Tyrone returns in the car, a shaken Tommy lays into him, with all his pent up fears pouring out. Shocked by his outburst, Tina wants to know what's going on. Will Tommy reveal all?

Meanwhile, Carla has summoned Eileen to the office. After failing to meet their deadline when Eileen went missing yesterday, they've lost a repeat order. Turning on Eileen, Carla sacks her on the spot. Explaining that she has been having a rough time in her personal life, will Eileen be able to talk Carla round?

Elsewhere, Norris is looking forward to the Weatherfield in Bloom competition being judged today, but when he discovers that his plants have been butchered - as have the neighbours' - he flies into a rage and accuses Gail of sabotage.

Also today, Owen is shocked to find Faye selling flowers on a nearby street to make money for Anna, while Carla struggles to be a parent to Simon.

Friday (1)

Tina is convinced that Tommy is hiding something and urges him to confide in her. Tommy wavers, but then decides to maintain his lie. At the garage, Tina watches Tommy and when he goes out, she decides to follow him in Rita's car. Witnessing him greet Rick, Tina is horrified.

Back at home, Tina confronts Tommy, reminding him that Rick was responsible for her dad's death and partially for her own accident. Staggered that Tommy has gone behind her back like this, Tina demands to know what's going on. As Tommy finally confesses all, Tina is horrified. Can she forgive Tommy for this?

Meanwhile, aghast to hear that Eileen has been sacked, Kirsty offers to speak to Carla on her behalf. Carla is unsympathetic but Kirsty refuses to drop it, telling the girls they should down tools until Eileen is reinstated. Will the factory girls join Kirsty?

Elsewhere, Gail is chuffed to have won third prize in the Weatherfield in Bloom competition. Refusing to believe she won fair and square, Norris is threatening to report her. But when Anna arrives at the Kabin with a sheepish Faye, will she set them all straight?

Also, Karl faces another testing moment when he spots kitty money for the street party lying around, while Leanne snaps at Nick after another run-in with Peter.
Norris refuses to accept that Gail won third prize in the Weatherfield in Bloom competition fairly, and threatens to report her for cheating

Friday (2)

Tommy pleads with Tina to forgive him, but she's not sure she can trust him anymore unless he calls Rick and tells him the deal is off. Faced with the thought of losing Tina, Tommy bites the bullet. But when Rick arrives at the flat, they're shaken.

Insisting they're not playing ball anymore, Tina tells Rick to take his car and leave. But Rick laughs in her face before setting his heavies on Tommy and forcing her to watch. Eventually Rick leaves, saying he'll be in touch about the next job…

Meanwhile, at the casino, Sunita is counselling Karl. He's on a winning streak but eventually agrees to leave, handing over the street party cash but refusing to give up his winnings. However, Sunita is frustrated, convinced it will burn a hole in his pocket. Can Karl control his gambling addiction?

Elsewhere, led by Kirsty, a united Underworld workforce walk out en masse. Carla is horrified, but she's powerless to stop them. Seeing the mess she's in, Peter is forced to mediate - will he get the girls back to work?

Also, Norris tells Anna that he wants compensation for the flowers Faye stole, while Leanne opens up to Nick about her heartbreak over Peter and now Simon - but is there still unfinished business between them?

Coronation Street's Shobna Gulati has revealed that she believes Sunita Alahan is in love with Karl Munro.

Speaking to Inside Soap, the actress declared that her married alter ego has turned "slightly psycho" since her affair started with the taxi driver and gambling addict.

However, Gulati admitted that she is unclear on the direction of her character, declaring: "She has her own agenda, but I'm not sure what it is yet. I know she does like having the power and control."

The 45-year-old went on to insist that Sunita "does still love" husband Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) despite her recent troubles.

Of her on-screen romance with John Michie (Karl), she added: "I think the blokes always see an affair from a trouser perspective. Sunita sees it from all sides, and the more time she spends with Karl, the more she feels there must be something deeper between them.

"That's the nature of being a woman in these circumstances - I think she's actually fallen in love with him in some way. But she's not getting anything remotely like that back."

Sunita and Karl's affair is spotted by Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) next week, leading to the pair becoming pressured to keep their relationship secret from Dev and Stella (Michelle Collins).

Coronation Street's Carla Connor shows her ruthless side this evening (May 31) as she sacks Eileen Grimshaw from Underworld.

Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is on cloud nine following her reunion with Paul, but as she heads into the factory, she's well aware that she'll have to face Carla's wrath for walking out of work to attend Lesley's funeral the previous day.

Carla (Alison King) is furious with Eileen as they missed a deadline due to her disappearing act, almost losing important client Mr Isaacs as a result.

Although Carla has managed to salvage the situation by giving Mr Isaacs a better deal on his next order, she's keen to reassert her authority at the factory and fires Eileen on the spot.

A shocked Eileen insists that she deserves leniency as she's had a tough time in her personal life recently, but is Carla prepared to listen?

Coronation Street's Tommy Duckworth is forced to endure a beating this evening (June 1) as an attempt to stand up to Rick Neelan backfires.

Tommy (Chris Fountain) is devastated in tonight's double bill as his girlfriend Tina (Michelle Keegan) discovers that he is working for Rick. Realising that he could lose the Rovers barmaid, Tommy takes her advice and decides to put a stop to his arrangement with the loan shark once and for all.

After calling Rick round to the flat, Tommy tells him that he won't be doing any more dodgy jobs, before ordering the villain to pick up his latest car from the garage right away.

Soon afterwards, however, Rick shows just how far he'll go to get what he wants - asking his heavies to beat Tommy up at the garage and forcing a horrified Tina to watch.

As Rick insists that he'll be in touch about the next job, is there any way out of this mess for Tommy and Tina?
