View Full Version : Corrie Spoilers 7th - 11th May 2012
Coronation Street couple Tina McIntyre and Tommy Duckworth will be at the centre of high drama in early May as they find themselves embroiled in Terry's financial problems.
The pair have only just found happiness by confessing their feelings for each other, but Terry's presence on the cobbles looks set to cause misery for them next month.
As fans already know, Terry's (Nigel Pivaro) plans to open a lap-dancing bar are left in tatters in the coming days as Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) discovers that he bribed a councillor to obtain planning permission.
With no immediate source of income, Terry is in trouble as he owes a sizeable sum of money to loan sharks. As seen in our spoilers for next week, Tommy (Chris Fountain) hands over his inheritance money to help out Terry - but that's not the end of the nightmare.
Magazine reports have revealed that Terry's loan sharks soon return to demand even more cash, and Tina (Michelle Keegan) is horrified when she realises that one of them is Rick Neelan - the man who hounded her father Joe to his death.
Rick will become menacing towards Tina as he makes it clear that he wants Terry's debt to be cleared as soon as possible - and the Rovers barmaid is deeply upset over being confronted by her past.
Terry soon decides that desperate times call for desperate measures, telling Tommy and Tina that they should burn the lap-dancing bar's premises to claim on the insurance money.
Whether Tommy and Tina can ever agree to such a dangerous move isn't yet clear, but it looks like their relationship will be put under severe strain as the drama plays out...
Coronation Street airs these scenes from Monday, May 7 on ITV1.

Didnt Terry's other son Paul burn down Leanne's restaurant for insurance cash also?
Didnt Terry's other son Paul burn down Leanne's restaurant for insurance cash also?
Yes, he did
Guess this week Lesley dies
Guess this week Lesley dies
apparently Lesley ends up back at Eileens?! for some reason, and that is when she is left alone and dies....
Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan has said that her character Tina McIntyre will be opposed to Terry Duckworth's shock arson plan.
As reported earlier this week, Terry (Nigel Pivaro) considers setting his unfinished bar premises on fire in an insurance scam next month as loan sharks put pressure on him to repay his debts.
To Tina's horror, one of the sharks is Rick Neelan, the man who hounded her father Joe to his death. The barmaid's worry later intensifies when Terry tries to recruit her and Tommy (Chris Fountain) into his reckless plot to fix the situation.
Speaking of the plot for the first time, Keegan told All About Soap: "Tina's a sensible girl, but she knows they have to pay Rick back otherwise they'll never get shot of him. However, she's adamant doing something like burning the club down isn't a good idea, because Tommy could risk going to prison and she doesn't want that.
"He's the only person she's got left in her life who she really loves. She has Rita, but no other family or anything, so Tina's desperate to protect Tommy as well as herself.
"She feels like she's a stronger person because of everything she's been through. She needs to look after Tommy like she looked after her dad - before it's too late."
Coronation Street launches the big week for Tina, Tommy and Terry on Monday, May 7 on ITV1
Over on Coronation Street, a happy day for Eileen Grimshaw and Paul Kershaw is disrupted as the Lesley storyline continues.
With Lesley now settled into the care home, Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and Paul (Tony Hirst) are heading off on holiday together. However, there's a surprise in store for them when they receive a phone call about Lesley.
Paul is shocked to hear that Lesley (Judy Holt) has fled from the care home and turned up at their old house, so he rushes off to fetch her.
Later, back on the cobbles, Lesley is in an emotional state and refuses to get in the car to return to the home. Worried that he and Eileen could miss their flight, Paul tries to push Lesley inside the vehicle - but she falls and hurts her wrist.
With Lesley's damaged wrist needing attention, it's the end of Paul and Eileen's holiday plans. When Paul later removes his wife from the care home as he can't believe they let her wander off, Lesley ends up living at the Grimshaw residence once again…

Monday
Jason is gutted as Tina and Tommy break the news that they no longer have the money to buy the flat. Terry is contrite, but when Rick the loan shark bursts into the flat demanding more cash, Tommy realises that Terry is up to his neck in it.
Unaware that Rick is back on the scene, Tina arranges to meet Tommy and Terry at the bar to discuss where they go from here. But when she's the first to arrive, Rick follows her inside. As she comes face-to-face with the man who hounded her dad to his death, Tina yells at him to get out. But when Rick becomes more menacing, is Tina in danger?
Meanwhile, with Lesley now settled into the care home, Eileen and Paul are heading off on holiday. However, when Paul gets a call to say that Lesley has turned up at their old house, he goes to fetch her. Lesley is in a state and refuses to get in the car. Worried about missing their flight, Paul pushes her. But when Lesley falls and hurts her wrist, is that the end of their plans?
Elsewhere, Stella catches Karl with his fingers in the till and jumps to the wrong conclusion, Hayley learns that Becky has failed to get hold of Kylie, David offers to sign the salon back to Audrey if she has the papers drawn up, Kirsty decides to take the job at the factory in a bid to make things right with Tyrone, while Sunita flirtily asks Karl if he fancies keeping her company while Dev and the kids are away.
Tina is horrified to discover that Terry and Tommy are in debt to Rick. As the pair walk in, Rick casually repeats his demands for more cash by the end of the week, pointing out that when it comes to Tina next time he might not be so friendly. Tina is shaken as she rails at Tommy for lying to her about Terry's debts. As Tina reveals that it was Rick who hounded her dad to his death, Tommy is mortified.
Gleaning that Rick won't leave them alone until he's got his money, Tommy asks Terry what he proposes to do next. But when Terry reveals his plan to get Rick off their backs, both Tommy and Tina are aghast. Will they agree to his crazy scam?
Meanwhile, Lesley's wrist has been damaged, but when Paul has a falling out with the care home manager about how Lesley came to wander off, he ends up removing her from the home. Is this the end of Eileen and Paul's holiday?
Elsewhere, Karl turns up at Sunita's and the pair fall into a passionate clinch, a drunken David tries to give a horrified Eva the come-on, while Kirsty gets the girls' backs up before she even starts work at the factory.
WEDNESDAY
Tina can't believe that Tommy is going ahead with Terry's plan, but he argues that they have no choice. As Terry heads to The Rovers to create his alibi, he tells Tommy that he'll leave a gas heater in the bar - all he has to do is switch it on and help it set fire to the curtains.
However, as Terry makes a show of himself in the pub, Tina rushes out. Finding Tommy about to start the fire, she begs him not to do this - she knows where this kind of harebrained scheme can lead and she can't face losing another person she loves. As she insists that if Tommy does this it's over, how will Tommy react? And what will Terry do when he finds Tina interfering with his plan?
Meanwhile, Eileen and Paul are stunned when a police officer arrives at the house - they've had an emergency call to report them for hurting Lesley. As Lesley tells the officer they're keeping her captive, Paul is forced to explain that Lesley has Alzheimer's and gets confused. Will the officer accept their explanation?
Elsewhere, Sunita realises that the Corner Shop flat could make the perfect love nest for her and Karl, Kirsty reveals details of her past as she opens up to Fiz about her abrasive nature, while Paul's hackles rise when he hears Norris gossiping about his tussle with Lesley.
Thursday
As Tina lies motionless in a pool of blood where she fell, a panicked Terry rushes out but bumps into Tommy. Thinking on his feet, Terry insists that he found her like this - Rick did it and then phoned him to say he'd be next. At the hospital, Tommy is heartbroken as the doctors reveal they've sedated Tina until the swelling on her brain goes down - the next 24 hours will be crucial.
Tommy wants to go to the police, but Terry insists they've got to give Rick what he wants and they should ask Tyrone for money. A desperate Tommy tells Tyrone what's happened to Tina and reveals that he needs a loan to save his skin. Aware this is all down to Terry, will Tyrone agree?
Meanwhile, annoyed over all the gossip, Paul suggests to Eileen that they should move away. A stunned Eileen insists that it will never work as he can't let go of Lesley and will never be truly focused on her. Suggesting that he and Lesley should move back home, Eileen reveals she can't go on like this. Desperate to prove he loves her, Paul makes a shock decision which leaves Eileen reeling.
Elsewhere, Sunita lets Karl into the flat and they quickly head for the bedroom, while Kirsty makes an effort with the factory staff but will they give her a second chance?
Friday
Paul presses Eileen for an answer to his proposal, but she's in turmoil - fearing that him divorcing his sick wife just doesn't sit right. Begging her to give it some thought, Paul heads out to speak to a solicitor.
In the house, Eileen is caring for Lesley. However, when Lesley becomes aggressive and then hits out at Eileen repeatedly, Eileen is forced to flee outside. Taking time to compose herself, Eileen then heads back in. But when she finds a lifeless Lesley lying on the floor, a distraught Eileen calls 999...
Meanwhile, Terry is on edge. Knowing that Tina could wake up any time and reveal the truth, he urges Tommy to get the money from Tyrone quickly before Rick comes for them. As Tyrone hands over the cash, Terry packs his bags. But when Tommy gets a call from the hospital telling him that Tina's regaining consciousness, he races to her bedside. Will Terry get his hands on the money before Tina reveals the horrible truth about Tommy's dad?
Elsewhere, Sunita is forced to stand Karl up when Stella asks her to work late, while David continues to drown his sorrows.
As the paramedics confirm that Lesley is dead, Paul races back to the street to hear the worst. An emotional Eileen is overcome with sorrow and guilt as Paul breaks down.
As Eileen's friends rally round, Paul goes to the mortuary. Later, back at the house, Paul consoles Eileen. However, unable to accept his warmth, she confesses that she'd had a fight with Lesley and left her alone. How will Paul react?
Meanwhile, Tommy races back to the flat just in time to see Terry about to leave. Confronting his dad, he demands answers. Terry tries to worm his way out of it, but the scales have fallen from Tommy's eyes. Thrusting the cash into his hand, it's Tommy's final test to see if Terry can do the right thing. Will Terry pocket the cash and leave the street, or will he do right by his son? At the same time, Rick's back on the scene and he wants his money…
Elsewhere, Nick is concerned as David remains an emotional wreck, while Stella walks in as Sunita and Karl smooch in the back room at The Rovers - have they been caught in the act?
Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan has said that she suffered bruising after filming a fight as her character Tina McIntyre.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Keegan revealed that the Rover's Return barmaid comes to blows with scheming lap dancing club owner Terry Duckworth (Nigel Pivaro).
Following Terry's vicious attack, Tina is found by boyfriend Tommy (Chris Fountain), who rushes her to hospital.
Keegan commented on the violent scene: "I wanted it to look as real as possible, so I really went for it. I had loads of bruises - especially because of the loan sharks. They were carrying me about, and I had hand marks all over me!
"I had to fall onto a crash mat, and they made a rubber floor that looked exactly the same as the tiled floor. So I had to fall down and whack my head on the fake floor.
"I was happy to get the chance to do my own stunts, as I'd never done anything like this before," she added.
The plot will play out next Wednesday and Thursday (May 9 and 10) in Coronation Street's special week of 9pm episodes.

Rick, who hounded Tina's dad Joe to his death, is chasing up a £9,000 debt owed by Terry and appears to be as ruthless as ever.
Tommy is shocked to realise the extent of Terry's financial mess, but stands up to Rick by insisting that they're not paying. A menacing Rick leaves for now, but will the Duckworth duo regret underestimating him?

Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan has praised co-star Nigel Pivaro for his portrayal of bad boy Terry Duckworth.
The actress's character Tina McIntyre will soon have a dramatic showdown with Terry, which leaves her fighting for her life after she falls and hits her head.
In real life, Pivaro recently returned to screens for a guest stint as Terry after time away from the acting profession.
Keegan told itv.com: "It's been great working with Nigel. I think Nigel's seen as sort of a Corrie icon, so it's always great when you work with people who you grew up watching.
"He's a really good actor as well - he plays the part of Terry really well. You come away from the scene actually hating him, because he's that good!"
Keegan added that she hopes a comeuppance is on the way for Terry, who lies to his son Tommy about the circumstances surrounding Tina's injuries.
She confirmed: "Terry doesn't tell Tommy exactly what happened - he pretends it's a loan shark that threw Tina on the floor and made her bang her head.
"It's not looking great at the minute for all of them. Hopefully Tommy and Tina are going to see Terry for what he really is. But we'll have to wait and see."
Coronation Street continues tonight (May 8) at 9pm on ITV1.
Coronation Street barmaid Tina McIntyre finds herself in danger tonight (May 9) as she stands in the way of Terry Duckworth's villainous plans.

Later, Tommy sees sense and fails to go through with the insurance scam - leaving Tina hugely relieved. However, her nightmare isn't over when she's left alone at the bar and Terry (Nigel Pivaro) turns up.
Terry is livid to hear that Tommy has let him down, and he soon lashes out at Tina in a bid to get her out of the way so he can finish the job himself.

Coronation Street airs tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan has admitted that she relished the chance to film violent scenes for this week's episodes.
The actress's character Tina McIntyre was last night manhandled by loan shark Rick Neelan and his heavies, while things get worse this evening (May 9) as she has a dramatic scuffle with Terry Duckworth.
Tina hits her head in the altercation with Terry and requires emergency treatment in hospital. The drama comes as Coronation Street airs at 9pm for most of the week in a schedule change to coincide with the Britain's Got Talent live shows.
Keegan told the Daily Star of the scenes: "Tina has never had a fight, although I've always wanted her to because she's that sort of character.
"I've never done a stunt before either, so it was quite exciting."
Reflecting on Tina's scenes with Rick, she commented: "The guy who held me - Greg Wood, who plays Rick - is lovely, but he grabbed me really hard and accidentally ripped my earring out! We were filming at the time so I had to carry on and my ear was throbbing."
Coronation Street continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
