Hollyoaks' Brendan Brady starts to meddle in the life of ex-lover Ste Hay once again next month.

Ste (Kieron Richardson) has been busy trying to launch a business with Doug Carter (PJ Brennan) in recent weeks, but things aren't going too well without the finances to fund their ambitions.

When the pair pay a visit to the bank for a loan, Ste tries to stay calm by picturing the bank manager naked. However, a nervous Ste ends up picturing himself naked instead - and the meeting doesn't go well!

Later, sensing an opportunity to gain a hold over Ste once more, Brendan (Emmett Scanlan) makes him and Doug a tempting financial offer.

Ste immediately rejects Brendan's interference, but Doug reckons there are no other options left - so he secretly accepts the bad boy's cash and the demands that come with it.

At the same time, Joel (Andrew Still) gets suspicious when he sees the meetings between Brendan and Doug. Resentful of being left out and determined to find out what's going on, Joel puts on a balaclava and attacks Doug when he's carrying out some shady activity for Brendan…

Hollyoaks star Karen Hassan has admitted that there could be "complicated" times ahead for her character Lynsey Nolan as she starts flirting with Riley Costello.

Lynsey and Riley's (Rob Norbury) storyline kicks off next month as sparks begin to fly between the pair.

The plot may give Lynsey a chance to have some fun following her sinister ordeal with serial killer Silas Blissett last year.

However, as Lynsey has recently become friends with Riley's jilted ex-fiancée Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe), she could also find herself with divided loyalties.

Hassan told All About Soap: "I'd have liked Lynsey to stay dark and never fully recover from what Silas did, but she's back to being Miss Goody-two-shoes.

"Although I do like flirty Lynsey, which we're seeing a lot more of now with Riley - there's a real sexual attraction between them.

"But Lynsey is also friends with Mercedes, so she's going to have to support Mercy while having a secret relationship with Riley - it could get complicated!"
