It's just a bit of fun I 'spose but I agree it's the acting ones that are the most important and as the actresses and actors know they are the more important ones, I don't think it really matters.

i think they should as the soap gets more ratings if there is a sexy male or female in it

Yes, I think that there should be a sexiest male/female category at the soap awards for several reasons.

1. It is part of the awards and has been for some time.
2. It's a bit of fun.
3. It improves soaps ratings.

It's been done for a long time now, but I agree with other people who say acting ability should be more important, and it is, but this award is only meant to be lighthearted.
