Meanwhile, Hollyoaks' homelessness storyline takes a dramatic twist in the next fortnight as Phoebe puts George in serious danger.

George (Steven Roberts) is delighted when Phoebe (Mandip Gill) arrives at the Kane house, as he's been worried about her safety over the past few weeks. However, he's soon horrified when Phoebe betrays him by leading him straight into the hands of evil Deena, who held the pair captive earlier this month.

George's best friend Callum (Laurie Duncan) later panics when he realises that the troubled student has disappeared. Concerned about his mate, Callum finally has to tell everyone the truth about George's living situation - leaving Maddie (Scarlett Bowman) and the rest of the sixth formers stunned.

As a police search for George proves fruitless, tensions boil to the surface among the sixth formers as their concern heightens. Will George be found before it's too late?

Hollyoaks star Mandip Gill has revealed that her character Phoebe Jackson is in a desperate situation when she resorts to betraying her loyal friend George Smith.

As first reported last week, sixth former George (Steven Roberts) will soon receive a nasty surprise as Phoebe returns and leads him straight back into the hands of evil Deena, played by Sian Breckin.

Deena held Phoebe and George captive in dramatic scenes earlier this month. The pair eventually escaped but were separated immediately afterwards.

Gill told Inside Soap: "George thought Phoebe had got away from danger after he found her friendship bracelet in the place where they used to hang out.

"In reality, she's been trapped in Deena and Graham's house all this time. Deena has told Phoebe that she'll hurt her dog if she doesn't retrieve George.

"That dog, Thunder, is all Phoebe has in the whole world. When the poor little thing's threatened, Phoebe crumbles. She feels let down by George because he's gone - she doesn't realise he's been trying to find her."

Show bosses have confirmed that there are harrowing scenes on the way for George as he finds himself in Deena's clutches once again.

Hollyoaks airs Phoebe's return on Tuesday, March 6 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

Hollyoaks launches the latest dark twist in its homelessness storyline tonight (March 6) as Phoebe does the unthinkable and betrays George.

George (Steven Roberts) is delighted when Phoebe (Mandip Gill) turns up at the Kane house unexpectedly, thrilled to see that she's safe and well. However, Phoebe seems to be acting strangely as she tries to convince George that they need to start sticking together again.

Soon afterwards, Phoebe leads George away into the woods, claiming that she has tied up her dog Thunder there and wants to collect him.

However, to George's horror, it's not Thunder that they're being reunited with - it's evil human trafficker Deena. Is all hope lost for George?
