Mark Wingett takes on Eastenders role

Former Bill actor Mark Wingett is to make an appearance in EastEnders this summer.

Wingett first appeared as DC Jim Carver in the ITV cop drama back in August 1983 and left in February this year with no plans for him to return.

He is now embarking on a new role in Walford, playing the father of Mickey Miller (Joe Swash).

An insider told DS: "Mickey is going to France to see his sister and gets more than he bargained for when he bumps into his long-lost father, whom he hasn't seen for years."

They added: "It's fantastic to have Mark on board."

A spokeswoman said: "EastEnders can confirm that Mark will be making an appearance this summer playing the role of Mickey's dad."

do eastenders and the bill have a contract to swap actors lol, gd to see him back he also does the narration for an American show called American Chopper on the Discovery Channel

i'm also glad to see him back on screen,just hope it works fr him,ee seems to have a problem getting bill stars to work out good,whereas the bill is excellent at getting ee stars to work and seem even detter than they were in ee just look at gabriel,ken and gina gold these 3 worked far better in the bill than they ever did in ee

I liked Mark Fowler although I liked Irene Hills even more!!!

it will be ok but it will be strange him being called a different name because it took me a while to get used to todd carty changing his name from mark fowler to gabreil kent and bill murray changing his name from don beech to johnny allen!!!
