Irene suffers heart failure, Bianca wants April to stay away from Heath and Dex struggles to define his relationship to April. Geoffrey King offers Heath a deal to get Angelo's out of debt.

Tuesday

Heath gets caught up in a didgy deal with Geoffrey King, Brax fears he's going to loose Angelo's and April wants to keep seeing Heath in secret.

Wednesday

Brax is questioned over some stolen goods and Brax makes a desperate decision to prevent loosing Angelo's.

Thursday

Alan propositions Sid in regards to the assault charges, Sasha attempts to strike a deal with Stu and Romeo is tentative about his new career.

Friday

Harvey threatens to close down the Resort if he wins the election. Romeo is at a crossroads in his new career. Xavier admits his feelings for Sasha. Dex makes a decision about his future.

Who is Geoffrey King?

Geoffrey is a businessman. Heath Braxton contacts Geoffrey and informs him Darryl Braxton is selling Angelo's, a restaurant, in Summer Bay. Geoffrey comes to the Bay with his family to look at Angelo's.

Monday episode 5441 - 30/01/12

While out sailing, Irene suffers a heart attack and is rescued by Sid, John, and Alf. Sid feels helpless when he’s forced to stay out of Irene’s treatment since being dismissed from the Hospital. Later it’s discovered her chemo treatment has weakened her heart, which makes Sid feel guilty he didn’t do more to protect her.

Following Irene’s heart attack, Bianca asks April to end all the drama by promising to stay away from Heath. But when Heath admits he lied to April about using her, April is tempted to break her promise.

Dex stands up to Heath and tells him he doesn’t deserve to be with someone as amazing as April. When Sid sees how heartbroken Dex is, he advises him to just be there for April as a friend.

Geoffrey King turns up at Angelo’s and propositions Heath to get involved with a new deal that will supposedly help Heath get Angelo’s out of debt.

Tuesday episode 5442 - 31/01/12

Brax, grieving with the loss of Charlie, drinks away his pain and struggles to extricate himself from Geoffrey King’s tightening grip on the restaurant. Heath is tricked into buying a stack of alcohol from Geoffrey in an attempt to bring Angelo’s back from the brink. But when Heath accepts a Rolex watch from Geoffrey, little does he know that it’s going to come back to bite him. When Brax learns of the dodgy deal Heath has done, Brax fears he might lose Angelo’s after all.

Both April and Liam are worried Bianca may be harbouring a smouldering desire for Heath, which makes April even more determined to hold on to the untamed Braxton, despite her promise to Bianca and Irene to stay away. Heath finally agrees they can keep their relationship a secret if that’s what she wants.

Meanwhile, many of those who were close to Charlie are still struggling to cope with her death. Leah, feeling haunted at the empty house, is leaning on Elijah to help her and VJ get back to normality.

Wednesday episode 5443 - 01/02/12

Ruby moves briefly to the city to escape her sorrow and much to Morag’s disapproval, she’s partying hard instead of dealing with her grief. But after a visit from Casey, Ruby realises she blames him for Charlie’s death and breaks up with him.

After Brax is questioned over some stolen goods he takes Watson to the storage facility to dob him in. However when they arrive the warehouse is empty and it’s empty, it appears Geoffrey has done a runner.

Leah pours her energy into helping Brax deal with the loss of Charlie, but faces criticism from Colleen and Elijah. Leah turns up at Angelo’s to discover a drunk and broken Brax is attempting to set fire to the bar in his attempt to solve his problems with Geoffrey. Leah takes him home and decides to spend the night and look after her friend. Meanwhile back at home, Ruby turns up announcing she’s moving back to Summer Bay.

Thursday episode 5444 - 02/02/12

Out at the farm, Alan propositions Sid to call a truce to drop the charges against Stu’s assault so Alan will drop the charge against Sid’s assault on him at the Hospital. Dex finally summons the courage to tell Sid that, despite his high HSC marks, he does not want to be a doctor.

Sasha secretly meets up with Stu in attempted blackmail to get Stu to breach his AVO so Alan will drop the charges against her Dad. Stu catches up with Sasha later and reveals he’s leaving Summer Bay for good and if she wants to make things right for her Dad she should get in the car and they can talk privately. Shortly after, Sasha returns home battered and bruised after a run-in with Stu, forcing Dex and Xavier to her defence. They confront Stu’s father, but Gina intervenes, admonishing Xavier for jeopardising his prospects of joining the Police Academy.

Romeo feels uncomfortable in his new role selling condos for the resort development with Dennis. His enthusiasm for taking a client out surfing sends the wrong message to Dennis and puts his new career in jeopardy.

Friday episode 5445 - 03/02/12

The race between Alf and Harvey in the council elections is heating up – with Harvey threatening to close down the Resort development if elected. And, judging by the mood at a local debate, the feelings of the community may be with him.

Romeo is given a second chance to make a sale for Dennis but again feels like a failure. He surprisingly seals the deal on a string of sales that wins him praise from his boss, but makes him feel worse about his career future.

Xavier confides in Gina about his growing feelings for Sasha. Gina advises he keep his distance and let Sasha deal with her family dramas without the added pressure. Xavier caves and admits to Sasha he has feelings for her, but when she rebuffs him by admitting she’s “toxic”, he’s left wondering what that intimate disclosure portends.

Sid is frustrated with Dex’s lack of direction following his admission he doesn’t want to do medicine. Dex finally decides to bite the bullet and tells Sid he has decided he wants to become a Nurse.
