Meanwhile, former Neighbours star Dan O'Connor (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/dan-o%27connor/) makes his debut on Hollyoaks later this month - taking on the role of military man Ally.

Ally turns up in the village when Rhys (Andrew Moss (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/andrew-moss/)) and Jacqui (Claire Cooper (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/claire-cooper/)) start hunting for a lodger as their money troubles grow.

The devoted couple are looking for a female housemate, but they're left horrified when they meet a string of dreadful applicants. Later, when easy-going Ally turns up, it looks like he's their best bet.

As Ally moves in, he quickly captures the attention of new neighbours Ste (Kieron Richardson (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/kieron-richardson/)) and Amy (Ashley Slanina-Davies (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/ashley-slanina-davies/)) - who both fancy him.

When Ste and Amy are invited over for a dinner party at the flat the next night, friction builds as they try to figure out whether Ally is gay or straight! Will Ally be interested in either of them?
