Its a bit like the stock market, but not real money, and you are trading on celebrities. You buy shares in a celeb (and can sell them if you want) and the more press coverage etc they get, the higher their price goes so the higher the dividend return you get. Does that help??

sort of, i understood the bit about the more press coverage the higher the price, but how do you sell them thats the bit a im a bit confused about?

Same way as you buy them, you click the drop down menu and change it from buy to sell. You then decide how many you want to sell, and it will confirm the price that you will receive for them and therefore if you make a profit or loss. I just sold a load cause they were losing me too much money, but kept a handful in case the price goes up again.

Well I've been playing for years so that helps lol.

Here's a few tips.

There are two types of trading: Day Trading and Playing for Dividends.

Day Trading
This is when you invest all of your money in the highest mover (the share with the highest price rise) and sell all of them the second the price begins to drop. This is a good way of gaining money quick but it means that you will have to be continually checking the price of your share and it doesn't offer much gain in your worth.

Playing for Dividends
This is when you buy a share at the start of the week (saturday) and keep it till payday (friday). On the friday, your share will have accumulated a 'Dividend' which is dependent on the amount of news coverage your celebrity share recieves. Provided you have held this share for the full week, you will be payed a Dividend on Friday per the number of shares you have. This method does carry a risk as the share price may plummet during the week.
As an example, Charles and Camilla announced their wedding on a Thursday. This was perfect for celebdaqqers because it was near enough the start of the week. This meant that we could sell all our existing shares and put all our money into either Charles and Camilla, knowing that they would be in the papers a huge amount and therefore their Dividend would be enormous by Friday.

As an example of playing for dividends, Bob Geldof's current dividend is about £6.28 and I own 1619 shares in him. That means that on Friday, as long as I don't sell my shares, I will receive £6.28 for every share I own in Bob Geldof.

I had bought shares in Bob Geldof, as I knew he was going to the be in the papers a fair bit what with Live 8 etc going on. I have just got some in Ben Affleck too after is wedding - no doubt that will some press coverage....

Thats what I have been trying to do. I haven't got a clue really, but trying to make sure I hold on to most of them for the whole week, cause then you get a nice dividend payment on the Fri.....

I'm trying to look and see who is going to get loads of press coverage, and buy shares in them, though I haven't put of my eggs in the same basket. If you do the auto pick thingy, they pick 4 good ones and another random one, which doesn't look too bad..

Go on everyday, and as soon as one of your people start to go down, get rid of them, so that you keep any profit.

Also, if you hold on the them from Tues to Fri, you get a dividend payment, which can amount to loads aswell, so you play on a daily or weekly basis if you want

Try day trading. On a day when your going to be on the computer a lot, buy 100-200 of the people who are in the top five (look at movers and losers), then as soon as they go down, sell them. Do that all day, and you'll go up.
