Corrie's Cobbles

I hate the fact that most streets like that would have been covered in tarmac by now or at the very least dug up to do maintenance, water pipes etc, I could go on. Even in the last 12 years we've had roadworks 4 times. In 45 years they would have had some kind of roadworks by now and there's no way after the job was finished would they put cobbles back down there would be tarmac squares allover that street. This really peeves me off.

We got tons of cobbled roads my way. In fact, the old tram lines still run though many of them.

I'm not buying the fact that they haven't been dug up for any reason.
Mind you this is a soap that's made up of computer graphics well on the credits anyways. Still here's me complaining about the street, looking at the bigger picture, it's not even the same one from 1960!!!!!!

I've got the cobbles from Bristol city centre made into my fireplace!!! there are a few other cobbled streets in Bristol, but try walking down them in a pair of heels!!!

i think the cobbles make coronation street. It wouldnt be the same without them.

Then the programme should end if it can't live without them.
We've had roadworks in EE before atleast it's realistic.

but nothings realistic in soaps thats what make them good. An escape from reality.

But the set should atleast look real. I sometimes think Corrie have the same set designer as Balamory.

i know what you mean. I do agree there should be some evidence that it is not set on planet x and it is actually meant to be manchester.

I dont think i have ever come across a cobbled street.

LOL the ironic thing is half of it isn't even there. There's only one street which explains why they like their location shoots they can't have any expanded ideas without them.

there location shoots are where most of the action takes place. I have always wondered why and now i know. So is the set just like one row of houises?

They have the area by the cafe as well and up by the chipshop but that's about it.
