I don't think Cain would name John . he'd get someone to sought him later. Naming Jai might suit him better to try and break the Charity relationship.

I dont think Cain loves Moira he gets a kick outta hurting John, he sees Moira and Priya as playthings a bit of fun he does love Charity I think

I also think Cain would prefer to blame John or a male not let it be known it was a female who attacked him too much for his macho ego

EMMERDALE star Jeff Hordley is getting pointed at in the street more than usual thanks to a severe new haircut.

The actor, who plays badboy Cain Dingle in the soap, has shaved half of his head to fit in with a storyline that will see him fighting for life following the Judgement Day episode on December 8.

Jeff is also spending lots of time in make-up having an unsightly scar and scratches daubed on.

He told TV Biz: "The trouble is because of my eyebrows.

"I look like Sam the Eagle from Sesame Street. I've got lots of hats lined up."

Coming up in Emmerdale, Cain Dingle is left in a critical condition in hospital after being brutally attacked by one of his enemies.

In the hours after the shock incident, the doctors do a CT scan on Cain (Jeff Hordley), which shows that he has a clot on his brain and will need emergency surgery to save his life.

While Cain's condition is touch and go at the hospital, Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), Charity Tate (Emma Atkins) and John Barton (James Thornton) all find themselves arrested under suspicion of his attempted murder. All insist that they are not to blame, but it's unclear whether they're telling the truth.

Once Cain's surgery is over, his family face an agonising wait to discover whether he'll pull through. Debbie (Charley Webb) is particularly upset over the situation, fearing that Sarah will lose her grandfather.

With Moira Barton, Amy Wyatt and Zak Dingle also on Emmerdale's official suspect list, who has taken the ultimate revenge on Cain and will it cost the bad boy his life?

Monday

Debbie wonders whether it was Charity who attacked Cain. Nikhil is angry when Charity comes home as he also suspects that she is guilty and wants to know if Jai has been released yet. Chas is worried about Cain and is hard towards Charity over her arrest, telling her that Debbie knows about it.

Later, Charity arrives at the hospital as an unconscious Cain is being taken for a CT scan. Debbie wants her to leave, but Charity swears she's not to blame. Soon afterwards, Debbie is alarmed and Zak is worried when the doctor explains that Cain has a clot on the brain and needs surgery. Over in The Woolpack, Nikhil is irritated when Jai agrees to Charity staying for a couple of nights.


Meanwhile, when PC Bedford arrives to question Moira, she is embarrassed when the affair is brought up but realises she might have landed John in it when she tells Bedford how John hurt his hand. DI Fletcher arrests John for the attempted murder of Cain. Later, at the police station, Fletcher gets a text alert saying that Cain has taken a turn for the worse and if he doesn't pull through John looks set to be charged with murder.

Elsewhere, PC Stewart questions Amy, Val and Pollard.


Tuesday

John is frustrated as Fletcher questions him about Moira's affair and why Holly needed to lie for him. He is later relieved when he's bailed. Back home, John is still furious at Holly and snaps at her, leaving her shaken. John is frustrated that Moira has stayed to help cook the dinner as he doesn't want to give the kids the wrong idea about them being together, but Moira's determined to help.

Soon afterwards, John starts to suspect that Moira thinks he attacked Cain. Moira is scared by John's anger when he explains that Cain is the only one who can clear his name now so he'd better pull through.

Meanwhile, Debbie tells Cameron that she is reluctant to involve the police after noticing Cain's car is missing. Charity arrives as Debbie is showing out the police officers who have been making enquiries about Cain's car. However, Debbie wants Charity to leave, believing she is responsible for Cain's attack. Later, Charity's tries to tell Chas that she and Jai had nothing to do with it.

Elsewhere, Cameron is annoyed when Debbie explains that she has asked Andy to come over as she's ovulating; Rishi tells Jai that he'll stand by him over the Cain situation but Jai insists he didn't do it; and Sean is pleased with himself when he makes a deal with Belle that he'll get her into the hospital to see the baby.

Wednesday

Charity is conflicted when Debbie gets upset about Cain, worrying that Sarah might lose her grandfather. At the same time, John explains that Cain's surgery went well but it's a waiting game as he's not awake yet. Later, Chas is worried when Aaron returns to the village and heads straight to see Adam. Aaron is furious that John punched Cain and Adam has to stop him from going for John. Chas is anxious that Aaron is getting himself wound up over who attacked Cain.


With concerns about his future, John meets with Declan and as he struggles to swallow his pride, tells him that he wants him to make an offer for buying back the farm. However, John is humiliated when Declan refuses.

Meanwhile, Sean steals Ruby's car to take Belle to see the baby in hospital. Belle manages to see the baby and takes a quick photo before they make a run for it when the midwife arrives. However, Debbie sees them as they leave. Later, Sean is busted by Ruby, but when the pair strike a deal it could be a breakthrough for their relationship.

Elsewhere, Laurel is unenthusiastic when Ashley tells her that Jude will conduct their vow renewal.

Thursday

Jai is furious when he finds out that Charity has been to see Cain, but she tries to explain that she was there for Debbie. Back home, Jai is taken aback when she admits that she wished Cain would die. Jai is caught when Charity gets him to admit that he did tamper with Cain's brake cables and paid for someone to get rid of the car.

Soon afterwards, Charity reveals that she found Cain the night he was attacked but didn't tell anyone as she thought Jai was to blame. Jai manages to draw strength from Charity's confidence that things will work out and the pair unite.


Meanwhile, Moira tries to reassure Holly, but Moira is mortified when Holly says that she hates her and blames Moira for everything. Debbie is taken aback when Zak tells her that he's been to see the baby and he wonders how everything got in such a mess.

Elsewhere, Aaron waits at Cain's bedside and is frustrated as there are no signs of life from him; Marlon rants at Laurel about her vow renewal and she's shocked by his outburst; Ali asks Jai about a Christmas party, oblivious to what happened to Lisa last year; while Lisa is unimpressed to hear that Belle and Sean were at the hospital and confronts Ali, ordering her to keep Sean away from Belle.

Cain stirs in hospital but remains critical. Can he recall who attacked him?

At the same time, Jai and Charity are concerned over what Cain might say.

Meanwhile, a tearful Laurel goes to see Nicola and confesses that she had an affair with Marlon. Nicola struggles to get her head round what Laurel is telling her, but advises that she can't stay with Ashley out of loyalty. Laurel is conflicted when Nicola tells her that there's no point lying to herself if she loves Marlon.

Elsewhere, John heads out like a man on a mission the moment he hears Cain is awake, while Val wants to go and see the baby, knowing it's a hollow victory when Amy agrees that she can but she doesn't want to be involved.

Friday

Cain is still weak and by no means out of the woods with his injuries.

However, Cain finds the strength to name Jai as his attacker. Is he telling the truth or using the opportunity to get the ultimate revenge on his rival?

Meanwhile, Val and Pollard visit the baby and Val is determined to change Amy's mind about letting him go. Amy is torn when she speaks to Debbie about what made her want Sarah back and Debbie explains that family is everything. It's clear that Amy is having doubts about giving the baby up, but she feels pressured as Val wants to make plans to get him home.

Elsewhere, Laurel arrives home and is shocked at Ashley's anger over her speaking to Nicola, while Declan and John snipe at each other over the news about Jai.
