Emmerdale star Danny Miller has announced that he will be leaving the soap next year.

The actor, who plays troubled Aaron Livesy on the ITV1 show, will bow out from his role in spring 2012.

Miller commented: "It has been an incredibly difficult decision but after three years playing Aaron and much soul-searching, I am eager to explore other roles.

"I am so grateful to Emmerdale for the opportunity that I have been given and have loved every moment. I will miss everyone enormously but this might not be the last we see of Aaron."

Emmerdale's series producer Stuart Blackburn added: "We completely respect Danny's decision and are very grateful for the hard work and commitment he has brought to his role as Aaron. We wish him all the best for the future and in the meantime there is still plenty more drama to come from Aaron well into 2012."

Emmerdale,s Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller) will have "a real chance [of] happiness" in 2012, series producer Stuart Blackburn has revealed.

Viewers have been waiting for an end to Aaron's suffering following his struggle with his sexuality, his decision to help paraplegic boyfriend Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock) commit suicide and a subsequent obsession with self-harming.

In a teaser video of the next year, Blackburn said that while there may still be hardship ahead for Jackson's mother Hazel (Pauline Quirke), Aaron will finally experience "a ray of sunshine" ahead of his departure from the village.

"Hazel and Aaron's [assisted suicide] story has been magnificent and what can I say about Danny Miller and Pauline Quirke? They are absolutely phenomenal," he said.

"I think Hazel is going to make the ultimate sacrifice. What we're going to see with Aaron is perhaps finally, a real ray of sunshine, a real chance for him to find happiness. It's whether he's got the courage to actually go for it and take it."

However, Blackburn also forecast a bleak 2012 for Aaron's relatives in the Dingle family, hinting that they will face their "biggest challenge" yet in the coming months.

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has revealed that the soap's team are still discussing how to write out his character Aaron Livesy.

Aaron will be leaving the village in the spring as Miller has decided to pursue new projects following his three-year stint with the show.

Speaking on Lorraine this morning, the 21-year-old actor confirmed that he has yet to receive exact details of Aaron's exit.

"They keep chopping and changing [it] - I think because they want to make it quite impactful and dramatic," Miller explained.

He continued: "I hope it's not leaving in the back of a cab, but there's great storyliners and a great team there."

Miller added that he is looking forward to attending new auditions once he has finished filming at Emmerdale.

"It's terrifying, because it's such a secure job, and to decide that you want to go out there to the big wide world is quite a scary feeling, really," he said. "But it's exciting as well."

Emmerdale continues at 7pm on ITV1.

I was hoping Danny Miller would leave this week as well. Aaron is very cruel to his mother Chaz and there is not a lot of explaining about why Aaron is so resentful of his mom. Chaz is not the perfect mother but she does love her son.

Emmerdale has dramatic scenes lined up in a few weeks' time as one character will carry out a shocking act of revenge.

Magazine reports have revealed that one of the village's residents will attempt to settle a score by deliberately starting a fire in a forthcoming storyline.

Details of the characters involved and the location of the blaze are currently being kept under wraps.

However, it is thought that a male character will be trapped in the flames - leading to tense scenes as the danger intensifies…

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV1.

Aaron Livesy will leave the village in heartbreaking scenes after turning down an offer to ride off into the sunset with his new man.

The tear-jerking ending to his time in the village – which hits our screens in April – comes after actor Danny Miller decided to quit the hit ITV1 soap.

Popular Danny, 21, has been at the heart of some of the soap’s biggest storylines since he joined the soap as Chas Dingle’s wayward son in 2008.

His character Aaron struggled with his sexuality before finally admitting he was gay to father figure Paddy Kirk – but only after viciously beating him up first.

The soap’s bosses were so desperate to get his exit right they have spent months coming up with a dramatic storyline.

And as his relationship with Jackson Walsh provided the actor with some of his most powerful and memorable scenes – ending in the assisted suicide of the tetraplegic lad – they decided it would not be a happy ending for Aaron.

The troubled lad is about to embark on a relationship with rugby player Ed Roberts, so there is a little bit of happiness before he leaves.

An Emmerdale insider said: “Ed lands a job in France and asks Aaron to come with him.”

But it is destined to end in tears. The exact details of what happens to stop Aaron getting a happy departure are being kept under wraps.

Yes, his name was Paul, you are right and he was married to a Siobhan. I think Paul had an accident but if Carl had helped him, he might have survived, if I remember correctly, but I know Carl and Jimmy and Matthew I believe moved the body so Carl could not be implicated. Sorry if I don't remember it totally correctly but it was quite a long time ago now.

Emmerdale's Adam Barton will be at the centre of the soap's upcoming arson storyline, a tabloid report has claimed.

The young farmer, played by Adam Thomas, sets fire to the village's garage in a dramatic attempt to get revenge against local bad boy Cain Dingle, according to the Daily Star.

Adam is reportedly driven to desperate measures as he blames Cain (Jeff Hordley) for the recent death of his dad John. Keen to settle the score in his unstable state, he decides that he wants to get rid of the villain for good.

While the blaze scenes will see danger for more than one character, it is thought that there will ultimately be no casualties.

However, the Daily Star has also suggested that troubled Aaron Livesy will claim that he is responsible for the incident, wanting to protect best friend Adam.

With Cain on the warpath over the scene of destruction at the garage, Aaron apparently decides that Adam should not suffer any further and takes the blame - before bidding farewell to the village.

Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, announced his decision to leave Emmerdale last November

DANNY MILLER has been handed an explosive exit from the soap.

In April the 21-year-old’s troubled character Aaron Livesy will narrowly escape being burned alive in the garage.

And we can reveal the fire will be started by his pal Adam Barton.

Adam, played by Adam Thomas, 24, wants revenge on Cain Dingle, who he believes is responsible for the death of his dad, John.

He will set fire to the garage thinking Cain (Jeff Hordley, 41) is trapped inside.

But Adam is devastated when Cain turns up to see his business in flames.

The lad then realises it’s Aaron trapped inside.

A show insider said: “Adam feels sick that he may have killed the wrong man.

“Fans will be on the edge of their seats when he races into the burning building to try and save him. There will be a real nail-biting moment when you are left wondering whether either will get out alive.”

We can reveal both lads will make it.

But Cain is out for blood when he realises the fire was started deliberately.

To spare the Bartons any more misery, Aaron claims he’s to blame and decides to leave Emmerdale for good.

Danny had told bosses he wanted his character killed off but they said no as they hope he could return to the show one day.

Emmerdale's cast and crew have been spotted filming at an airport.

Robin Hood Airport in Doncaster is the destination of Danny Miller's exit scenes as Aaron Livesy, according to the Thorne and District Gazette.

Emmerdale bosses have promised that Aaron's final episode, which will be broadcast on April 5, will be "heartbreaking".

Over the coming week, Aaron becomes romantically involved with new arrival Ed (Lloyd Everitt), despite a disastrous first date.

However, next Thursday, Ed shocks Aaron by announcing that he has signed a contract with a French rugby team and will be moving in four weeks' time.

Meanwhile, it is also rumoured that Aaron will be on the run from the police after he is accused of setting fire to Cain Dingle's (Jeff Hordley) garage.

However, with Miller's departure storyline being kept closely under wraps, it is unclear whether Aaron will board the plane, let alone leave with Ed.

Danny Miller has revealed that he filmed his final scenes on Emmerdale today after four years in the soap.

The 21-year-old actor, who has won awards for his portrayal of the angst-ridden Aaron Livesy, made a stirring statement on Twitter.

"Well that's it," he wrote earlier this evening (Friday). "Can't explain the emotions i feel at the moment!

"It's been a pleasure to play Aaron and I love you all for taking the character on and loving his storylines. Thank you so much for your support for me the last 4 years!

"I love you all and finally a HUMUNGOUS thank you to everyone at Emmerdale for the trust and support me like families do! Thank you all so much! X"

Yesterday, a report revealed the location and possible nature of Aaron's final episode, which will air on April 5.

Over the next fortnight, the character becomes romantically involved with a professional rugby player called Ed.

Emmerdale bosses have already confirmed that Aaron's exit will be "heartbreaking".

Danny Miller has predicted that the nature of his Emmerdale departure will sadden "some people".

His character Aaron Livesy's last scenes, reportedly taking place at an airport, are being kept under wraps by show bosses.

Speaking in an interview with Soaplife magazine, the star teased: "My exit storyline is amazing - I've read it all. The writers are sending Aaron off in a way that most people won't expect.

"If we get it right it's going to be heartbreaking for some people."

The 21-year-old, who has been with Emmerdale since 2008, finished his last day of filming on Friday.

The actor recently praised writers for Aaron's romance with rugby player Ed, to play out in the next fortnight.

Danny Miller's final episode as Aaron Livesy airs on April 5.

The Emmerdale cast and crew have bid farewell to Danny Miller in a spoof Tinie Tempah video.

The clip, screened at Miller's leaving party last night (March 9), sees Adam Thomas (Adam Barton) rap along to 'Written In The Stars', while Kelvin Fletcher (Andy Sugden) dons an afro to play the keyboard shirtless.

Members of the Emmerdale team also don tracksuits like Miller's character Aaron Livesy and swab themselves with tearsticks in reference to his numerous emotional plotlines.

The 21-year-old filmed his final scenes last week and wrote on Twitter afterwards: "Can't explain the emotions i feel at the moment!

"It's been a pleasure to play Aaron and I love you all for taking the character on and loving his storylines. Thank you so much for your support for me the last 4 years!"

Thomas also tweeted: "Can safely say @DannyBMiller had the send off he deserved love u kidda thx for an amazing 3 years love tinie T!x"

Miller has teased that Aaron's departure from Emmerdale will be "amazing", but "heartbreaking for some people".

His final episode is due to air on April 5.

Emmerdale's Danny Miller has revealed that the spoof Tinie Tempah video made by his castmates made him cry.

The actor, who has quit his role as Aaron Livesy in the soap after five years, said that he was "absolutely amazed" that co-stars such as Adam Thomas and Kelvin Fletcher went to such an effort to give him a good send-off by making a funny version of the rapper's song 'Written in the Stars'.

Miller told the Manchester Evening News: "Obviously I'd been to Emmerdale leaving dos before, and I knew they always like to spring surprises. I saw them put a TV up, but I honestly had absolutely no idea what they'd been up to. They started telling me that they'd spoken to my girlfriend and asked what my favourite song was.

"They played the video and I recognised the music, but I didn't recognise the start of the video, and then it clicked. It was just unbelievable to think that they'd all gone to so much effort to film the whole thing - I didn't have a clue. And then I couldn't stop crying! I was absolutely amazed by it."

The video shows Thomas, who plays Adam Barton, rapping the start of the Tinie Tempah song in a garage.

Fletcher, who plays Andy Sugden, can also be seen playing the keyboard wearing a curly wig, boxer shorts and Ugg boots.

Miller said: "With Kelvin, when we used to go to the gym together, we'd take the mickey out of him because he'd pop up in the changing room with hardly any clothes on, so I think that was where the joke came from in the video. And the Ugg boots - [it's] because we both wear those too."

He admitted that it will be "nice to be able to take a break" from Emmerdale, but said that he is "already missing the guys" and felt emotional on his last day.

DANNY MILLER's tears were real when he filmed his final Emmerdale scenes – because he is going to miss his co-stars so much.

The award-winning actor joined the soap as tortured gay teen Aaron Livesy when he was 17 and feels like he grew up there.

But seven years on he admits there is one thing he won't miss — kissing men.

Danny said: "Romantic scenes are embarrassing, especially when you're only 17, but you just have to get on with it. I didn't have to kiss anyone for the first six months but then it was Victoria Sugden I kissed first.

"You just have to prepare yourself for it and forget people are watching.

"I won't miss kissing blokes. I haven't got a problem with it but I don't think I'll be reminiscing!"

But the storylines have had their plus points, Danny admitted, as they never made his real-life girlfriend — former Emmerdale star Kirsty-Leigh Porter — jealous.

He said: "Kirsty has never got jealous because I've been kissing lads for three years. Though that could all change now. But because she's an actress she's understanding."

Snog ... Danny Miller kissed blokes in soap
But things could change when Kirsty hears who Danny's dream leading lady is — and it isn't her.
He said: "It would be Angelina Jolie I think. It might be too weird working with Kirsty again!"

Fans of the soap will see Aaron's last appearance on Thursday, April 5.

And he says they were the most emotional scenes he has ever filmed.

He told TV Biz: "On my final day it was very teary-eyed because the others set me off.

"It's the realisation it's the last scene you're going to do there. The tears in the final scenes are real tears. You can't hold it back. The realisation I was leaving just kicked in.

"I'll miss everyone — there is not one bad person on Emmerdale's cast or crew. I'll miss Kelvin Fletcher, who plays Andy Sugden, and Adam Thomas, who plays Adam Barton, a lot."

Aaron's storylines have touched upon violence, homophobia, euthanasia and even self-harm.

http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01477/SNF25DANB-532_1477197a.jpg
Hard-hitting ... one of Danny Miller's dramatic scenes
So Danny took up running to cope with the stress.
He said: "Aaron has had an emotional rollercoaster. I have to go running and burn off the emotion at the end of the day. You have to leave the building and leave the emotion there.

"Crying from Monday to Friday can get draining but you have to learn to leave it behind. You have to go and get rid of it by having a run."

The hardest time on Emmerdale for Danny was when producer Gavin Blyth passed away in November 2010. He died in a matter of weeks after being diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer.

Danny said: "Gavin's death hit everyone very hard. It was such a shock.

"He got cancer then a month and a bit later he just died.

"He was like a father figure for me. I looked up to him and he helped me play the great storylines. He nurtured me. He was a very talented young man. He was there 24/7 for me.

"He stood by his word and he stood by me and said he'd support me and he did. We all miss him so much."

Leaving Emmerdale was a tough decision for Danny but now he wants to get into more dramas.

http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01477/SNF25DANA-532_1477196a.jpg
Bloodshed ... Danny Miller in car crash episode of Emmerdale
He said: "It was hard leaving. I could have stayed there for ever but I want to branch out.
"I love Sherlock — I'm the biggest fan of Benedict Cumberbatch. He's unbelievable. Gritty roles like Dominic West's as serial killer Fred West in Appropriate Adult would be a dream come true."

Working on soaps is notoriously hard work and Danny is excited about the idea of spending more time on scenes and developing his acting.

He said: "The likes of Pauline Quirke and people who've been in dramas — they come in and they don't know how we do it, 16 scenes a day.

"You've got ten hours to do all those scenes. It's a massive reality check. You don't have six hours to spend on a scene."

"It annoys me when people are snobby about soaps. People come up to me and say, 'I don't watch it and its sh*t.'

"It's pretty disrespectful because that's my job. It's something we do day in, day out, week in week out, not like a film.

Before Danny auditions for any new roles he plans to get his driving licence.

He said: "It's ironic. I play a mechanic but I've been too busy to learn to drive."

But down whichever road his career takes him, Danny is thrilled to have been part of Emmerdale.

He said: "The years have flown by. But they do say time flies when you're having fun."

Emmerdale's Danny Miller has admitted he's feeling a little trepidation about leaving the soap.

The actor, 21, who joined the Dales as troubled gay teenager Aaron Livesy three-and-a-half years ago, leaves Emmerdale this week.

He told TV Times: "I'm realy nervous about getting out in the big wide world. When I made the decision to go, I hadn't really thought about what would happen afterwards.

"I don't have anything lined up and it's quite daunting."

He told the mag he was delighted with his exit storyline.

"I didn't want a big dramatic exit and I didn't want to die. What they've come up with really does the last few years justice," he said.

"It's emotional, it's heart-warming and it's positive."

This is the moment when, alone at the Emmerdale cricket pavilion, Aaron makes the biggest decision of his life. He has to choose between facing court to take the rap for best friend Adam, or fleeing with new man Ed.

With the police getting closer to the truth about the garage fire, it’s Aaron’s selfless decision to confess that will guarantee the Bartons a future as a family. But the choice will have huge consequences for Aaron and his loved ones as he faces the prospect of leaving the village…

“The way Aaron sees it, Adam has made one mistake, whereas he has made hundreds,” says actor Danny Miller, who leaves Emmerdale this week. “Every time, Aaron has managed to get off and escape jail. He thinks it’s time to pay for his mistakes and let Adam get off.”

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has admitted that he is still adjusting to life after soap.

The actor filmed his final scenes as Aaron Livesy a month ago after four years in the role. Viewers will see the troubled character's exit episodes tonight (April 5).

Miller told This Morning today: "It's a weird feeling! I still say it hasn't sunk in yet. I still feel as if I need to be in [work] tomorrow at 7am.

"It was my decision. I had four years of such an amazing time, meeting amazing people - cast and crew. I love them all to bits and I was given so many good storylines. They trusted me so much on a big show at a young age.

"I just thought that I'd like to go and try other stuff before I get comfortable, because it's easy to get comfortable."

Aaron's final storyline has seen him desperately trying to protect best friend Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) by taking the blame for the fire he started at the garage.

Miller commented: "Tonight's two episodes is just basically Aaron moving on away from the village. But how does he? Does he go away to prison because he's due up in court, does he do a runner with Ed, or does he just run off into the middle of nowhere on his own? There's so many different ways he might go.

"Over the past four years, all you've seen is Aaron up in court, hurting people, upsetting people and getting away with it. Adam [has made] one drastic decision that could leave his life hanging in the balance, which might be prison.

"I think Aaron just wants to say, 'You're my best mate and it's about time that I stuck up for myself and for you. I'll take the rap for it, and you can start a new life as well as I can'. It's more about him growing up."

Emmerdale airs Aaron's exit tonight at 7pm and 8pm on ITV1.

Emmerdale star Danny Miller is to appear in pantomime this Christmas.

The actor, who bows out on screen as Aaron Livesy tonight (April 5), has signed up to play Prince Charming in a production of Cinderella at The Grand Theatre in Blackpool.

Channel 5's Milkshake presenter Amy Thompson will also be starring in the show, which runs for a month.

Cinderella kicks off on Friday, December 7 and continues until January 6, 2013.

Miller confirmed the news on This Morning today, adding that he is keen to secure a part in a play or TV drama following his Emmerdale exit.

The 21-year-old filmed his final Emmerdale scenes last month after four years in the role of Aaron.
