I'd kind of assumed it was Raine? The shots of her hanging round Phil and Shirely, watching them etc. I would make a guess that either she knew the person killed in the car lot, or that it's something to do with Derrick Branning.

Joanne.. is this for the death in the car lot or Kevin's death?? I heard both now so I am not sure which one he is getting blackmailed for
I read "who is doing it" before I read about Phil being arrested re Kevin's death. I presume the same person is responsible for all of it?
I thought it'd be Janine at first but then last night I thought it might be Ben.

how about a Xmas special featuring only Tracy and Winston.......wouldnt take much writing?
Derek Branning has to be first in the queue surely?
new(ish) character coming in, going to make a splash....but then again he has been described as so alpha male he could out-alpha even Phil, so maybe a bit subtle for him..?
Until we get to know who the homeless guy who died inthe fire was, it is speculation all the way
did we ever know his name?

EastEnders schoolboy Ben Mitchell has become the bookies' favourite to be revealed as Phil's stalker in the soap's current mystery storyline.
Recent episodes of the show have seen Phil (Steve McFadden) left spooked by photographs which have been sent by someone who knows the dark secrets of his past.
The identity of the culprit is currently being kept closely under wraps, but bookmaker Paddy Power has now made Phil's son Ben (Joshua Pascoe) the favourite with odds of 2/1.
As Phil has struggled to accept Ben's sexuality in recent weeks, the teenager is one of many Walford locals who have a motive to cause trouble for him.
Phil's partner Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) is the second favourite with odds of 9/2, followed by Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) at 5/1.
Other suspects available for bets include absent characters Deano Wicks (6/1), Sharon Watts (10/1), Glenda Mitchell (16/1) and Grant Mitchell (25/1), while Fatboy Chubb and Dot Branning are the outsiders with odds of 50/1 and 100/1 respectively.

It is Jay. He finally found out what Phil did to his dad. He sat Jase up to die. He said he owned him and made his life hell.
Mark my words. And the hands on the computer show an uncanny resemblance to Jay's hands.
At the moment I'm swinging towards Derek, but the whole laptop thing is making me think maybe Lauren Branning (her style).

Phil Mitchell's fears over his stalker intensify on EastEnders next week when he realises that the mystery tormentor wants to make sure he ends up behind bars.
The Albert Square hardman is left rattled once again when the police arrive with a warrant to search all of his properties, having apparently received a tip-off over his dodgy dealings.
Phil (Steve McFadden) is initially reluctant to co-operate with the authorities unless he's given an explanation, but he is soon forced to show them around The Arches as per their warrant.

http://i1.cdnds.net/11/47/618_soaps_eastenders_4330_4.jpg
To Phil's relief, the police don't manage to find anything but he makes it clear to Shirley (Linda Henry) that he's worried - dragging up the past is one thing, but now the stalker is meddling in the present and trying to get him into trouble.
While Shirley speculates that the stalker must be someone close to know so much, Phil points out that half of Albert Square have been through Jack's flat - meaning that anyone could now have the file Jack was keeping about his illegal activities.
In the end, Phil recruits Billy (Perry Fenwick) to help him out and the pair bury some dodgy goods in the allotments to be on the safe side.
http://i2.cdnds.net/11/47/618_soaps_eastenders_4331_1.jpg
However, both are unaware that someone is watching them and the police soon arrive to tell Phil about a tip-off they've received over stolen goods being hidden in the allotment.
Phil manages to keep his cool and stay one step ahead of the detective sergeant, but Billy isn't so lucky and soon finds himself arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property as his fingerprints are all over the goods! Having caused more mischief, what will the stalker's next move be?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Tuesday, December 6 and Thursday, December 8 at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Great move, Phil. That should do it.
EastEnders' Heather Trott will find herself accused of being Phil Mitchell's stalker next month as the soap's mystery storyline continues.
The Walford cleaner, played by Cheryl Fergison, comes under suspicion when a stash of envelopes identical to the ones that Phil (Steve McFadden) has been receiving are found in her handbag, Inside Soap reports.
The discovery is made as Phil and Shirley (Linda Henry) hold an early Christmas party for the Square - in the secret hope that they can figure out who the stalker is by getting everyone together.
When the envelopes are found in Heather's bag at the gathering, a shocked Shirley accuses her of being Phil's mystery tormentor - but she's quick to protest her innocence.
Phil and Shirley soon realise that the envelopes were probably planted on Heather by the real culprit. Has Heather been set up by the stalker or is she playing a dangerous game with Phil?
EastEnders will air these scenes in a fortnight's time on BBC One.

And again I think it is Jay, he was in Jack's apartment with Ben.
EastEnders bosses have released a new spinoff video which explores why Jack Branning might be Phil Mitchell's stalker.
Jack, played by Scott Maslen, is one of many suspects currently in the frame as the mystery storyline continues.
Last night, viewers saw Jack deny being responsible for Phil's torment. He claimed that a file containing details of Phil's past misdeeds had been stolen from his flat, but was he telling the truth?
Jack is the fourth character to be officially named as a suspect on the official EastEnders website, joining Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks), Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) and Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks).
However, EastEnders fans also know that Heather Trott (Cheryl Fergison) will soon find herself under suspicion in an episode which airs next month.
EastEnders bosses have named three more characters as official stalker suspects, bringing the current total to seven.
Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick), Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Mandy Salter (Nicola Stapleton) are the latest Walford residents to be put in the frame on the soap's official website.
The trio join Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd), Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) and Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks), who were all previously revealed as suspects.
EastEnders fans also know that Heather Trott (Cheryl Fergison) will find herself under suspicion in the coming days when envelopes identical to the ones that Phil is receiving are found in her handbag. However, she has not yet been officially named as a possible culprit.
Spoilers recently released by the BBC show that the stalker drama will reach a climax at Christmas.

Phil intervened when the gang threatened Jase and called the police. In repayment for Phil's support Jase did some...er...work for Phil. But he had nothing to do with his murder, so I can't see why Jay would want revenge.
EastEnders couple Phil Mitchell and Shirley Carter step up their attempts to solve the stalker mystery next week - but their unknown tormentor stays one step ahead.
Shirley (Linda Henry) decides that it's time to take control of the situation next Monday when she arrives back at the house and finds the door wide open even though nobody is home.
Keen to play detective, Shirley invites Albert Square residents over for an early Christmas party - believing that getting everyone together will provide a perfect chance to figure out who the culprit is.
However, cunning Ian (Adam Woodyatt), Jack (Scott Maslen) and Derek (Jamie Foreman) soon realise what the plan is and later play a practical joke on Phil by lining up one-by-one to 'confess' to being the stalker!

As we reported last week, events soon take a new twist at the party when Heather (Cheryl Fergison) needs her inhaler suddenly. While trying to find it, Shirley and Phil (Steve McFadden) discover that Heather has a stash of envelopes in her handbag which are identical to the ones that Phil has been receiving…
Phil is furious to realise that Heather could be his stalker, while Shirley demands answers from her best friend - accusing her of being the culprit all along. However, when Heather protests her innocence, Phil and Shirley decide that the real stalker must have planted the envelopes on her.
http://i2.cdnds.net/11/48/618_soaps_eastenders_4334_1.jpg
Wondering who could be so devious, Phil's suspicions go straight back to Jack - so he gets his revenge by arranging for the businessman's car to be crushed into a big ball of steel.
Protective over his family as ever, Derek soon warns Phil that if he's going to make trouble with his younger brother, then he'll be making an enemy of him too.
These scenes air on Monday, December 12 at 8pm and Tuesday, December 13 at 7.30pm on BBC One.

EastEnders' Denise Fox and Ben Mitchell have become the latest characters to be officially named as suspects in the Phil stalker mystery.
The pair, played by Diane Parish and Joshua Pascoe respectively, are the ninth and tenth possible culprits to be unveiled on the soap's official website.
EastEnders fans have tipped Denise as a likely perpetrator for some time as she has recently clashed with Phil (Steve McFadden) and has the biggest motive to dredge up the matter of Kevin's death.
Meanwhile, Ben remains the bookies' favourite to be revealed as the stalker after Phil struggled to accept his sexuality.
EastEnders bosses have previously put Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd), Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks), Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks), Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick), Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), Mandy Salter (Nicola Stapleton) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) on their official suspect list.
Two more possible stalkers are expected to be revealed by show chiefs in due course.
EastEnders continues on Thursday night at 7.30pm on BBC One.

It started with the fire at the car lot and then moved on to Kevin's death. I'm fairly sure it's both.
EastEnders' tearaway teen Lola Pearce has been added to the soap's official list of stalker suspects after she became implicated in the mystery in Thursday night's episode.
Lola (Danielle Harold) was caught out as she tried to blackmail Phil (Steve McFadden) in the latest edition of the Walford soap - before an accident saw her fall down a set of stairs.
Tonight's (Friday) episode sees Lola protest her innocence and it seems that, rather than being the real stalker, she was just trying to use the situation to her advantage for cash. But is Lola telling the truth?
Lola is the eleventh possible culprit to be named on the official EastEnders website, joining Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd), Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks), Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks), Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick), Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), Mandy Salter (Nicola Stapleton), Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe).
EastEnders bosses are expected to name one more suspect in due course.

EastEnders hardman Phil Mitchell will soon receive a shock as his stalker makes one of their boldest moves yet.
Phil (Steve McFadden) and his partner Shirley (Linda Henry) are keen to show that they're not afraid as the mystery continues. However, when they return home from a night out later this week, they're furious to discover that the unknown tormentor has struck again.
This time, the stalker has set fire to a Christmas tree outside Phil's house - leaving him more agitated than ever.
http://i1.cdnds.net/11/51/618x433/soaps_eastenders_phil_mitchell.jpg
An EastEnders insider commented: "Phil is desperate to find out who has been stalking him and although he won't admit it, it's really starting to worry him.
"Whoever it is clearly knows far too much about him and it seems that they are determined to play with his mind before delivering their final act of revenge."
EastEnders airs these scenes on Friday at 8pm on BBC One.
Meanwhile, viewers will finally discover the identity of Phil's stalker on Christmas Day at 9pm.

Good point, I can't really see Ben having the courage to go it alone. Particularly if they were both together in Jack's flat when the files went missing.

Don't know Lizann, the original post about Phil's return to drink and drugs was 2 or 3 months ago, maybe he starts drinking when he finds out about Ben.(assuming it is Ben).
EastEnders' Denise Fox kicks off the New Year with a bang this week as she launches a one-woman campaign to bring down Phil Mitchell.
Denise (Diane Parish) will soon be left furious when she discovers that the police have released Phil without charge after holding him over Kevin's death.
Taking matters into her own hands, Denise puts up posters all over the Square which brand Phil a murderer - before heading over to The Arches for a furious showdown with the Albert Square hardman.

I don't think Ben is at this alone either, I think he's someone's man on the inside. Ben really does have many, many issues with Phil, but this all seems to organised for it just to be him.
EastEnders' Phil Mitchell looks to have made another big mistake next week as he pushes his troubled son Ben too far.
As reported last week, Ben will soon be brought into the police station for questioning by DCI Marsden (Sophie Stanton) - who has re-opened the investigation into Stella Crawford's death in a bid to bring down Phil once and for all.
A nervous Ben (Joshua Pascoe) doesn't give DCI Marsden any new information when she asks him what he knows about Stella's 2007 suicide. Despite this, Marsden is reluctant to give up and asks Ben to call her if he remembers anything else - as she's particularly keen to know whether Phil has ever revealed what he said to Stella before she jumped.
Later, more trouble brews at the Mitchell household when Phil offers Jay a ticket to a boxing match and not Ben - making him feel left out.
However, Ben's relationship with his father soon seems to be looking up when he and Jay (Jamie Borthwick) finish work on the old banger car that Shirley recently presented them with. When the pair show Phil (Steve McFadden) the revamped car, it's a happy moment for the family as he's genuinely pleased with their hard work.

However, when Ben is allowed to drive, he stalls the car and a jeering Phil publicly humiliates him by ordering Jay to take over instead. Feeling left out by Phil one time too often, a furious Ben makes contact with DCI Marsden and announces that he now wants to change his statement.
Ben has already caused a whole heap of trouble for Phil with his stalker antics - but what will he say to Marsden? And what will the consequences be for his father this time?
Wasn't Stella torturing Ben , and after Phil found out she jumped off the roof ? So what's the matter with the little s**tehawk.
Wasn't Stella torturing Ben , and after Phil found out she jumped off the roof ? So what's the matter with the little s**tehawk.
That is exactly what happened but Ben now feels rejected by his father... he came out gay and it wasn't acceptable..he comes back from prison to find out that Jay is now the favourite and Phil still treats Ben like he is weak... I am annoyed with EE for the way Ben is turning out.. his relationship with Shirley was fantastic and she was so good with him but even that now seems to have disappeared..
JAILBIRD Phil Mitchell is on the receiving end of the threats for once when Derek Branning visits him behind bars.
The East End gangster (Jamie Foreman) gives Phil (Steve McFadden) an ultimatum as he faces murder charges over the death of Kevin Wicks (Phil Daniels).
In dramatic scenes due to air next week, Derek demands to be made a partner in the Mitchell empire – or he'll take it by force.
A show source said: "It is a clash of the titans. Phil knows his family are struggling but can he really lose face to Derek?"
EastEnders' troubled teenager Ben is cast out by the rest of the Mitchells after betraying his dad Phil in upcoming episodes of the soap.
Phil (Steve McFadden) finds himself back behind bars later this month after scheming Ben changes his police statement regarding Stella's death to implicate the Albert Square hardman - determined to make him suffer.
News that Ben (Joshua Pascoe) was his father's stalker soon spreads among the Mitchell clan, but the schoolboy denies saying anything incriminating to the police about Phil and Stella - leaving everyone confused over whether to believe him or not.
However, Ben's true colours are later exposed when he confides in Abi over his actions - telling her that he shopped Phil in.
Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) then lets the shocking secret slip to Jay, leading to a massive showdown between Ben and his family.
Cornered by the Mitchells, Ben finally confesses to what he's done - declaring that Phil deserves everything he gets. However, he's immediately kicked out by furious Shirley (Linda Henry) and Jay (Jamie Borthwick) - can they ever forgive him?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, January 23 at 8pm on BBC One.
