Over on Coronation Street, Lloyd Mullaney's troubles continue in the coming days when he misreads the signals with a friendly Stella Price.
Stella (Michelle Collins) comes to Lloyd's rescue in upcoming episodes when he hears of an impending audit at the cab office. Sensing that Lloyd is putting too much pressure on himself in the wake of Cheryl's departure, Stella offers her assistance and helps to sort through the messy accounts.
Lloyd (Craig Charles) is grateful for Stella's support and soon spots a chance to return the favour when Karl leaves her in the lurch, going AWOL when she has to deal with a hen party at The Rovers. With no other staff available, Lloyd steps in and gets behind the bar.
Later, as Stella has a quiet drink with Lloyd to say thanks, they have a heart-to-heart and she declares that Cheryl was a fool to leave him. Getting the wrong idea, Lloyd tries to kiss a shocked Stella. Is Lloyd heading for another crushing rejection?
These scenes air on Monday, December 5 at 8.30pm on ITV1.

When Carla receives a box of silk addressed for Frank for his big Leydon order, it's not long before Anne and Sally arrive at Underworld demanding that she hands it over.
Rallying round Carla, the staff claim they know nothing of the delivery, but when they later walk into the pub all wearing garments made from Frank's expensive silk, Sally's outraged and turns on Carla.
Meanwhile, Stella has spent the day working on Lloyd's accounts and rushes over to the pub, where she's got a hen party. However, she's soon stressed to hear that Tina hasn't arrived for her shift. Rushing to the cab office, she asks Lloyd to get in touch with Karl as she's got a crisis at the pub. Lloyd gets straight on the switch, but Karl doesn't reply. Where is he?
Elsewhere, Tina gets suspicious when her car is clamped and towed away following another argument with Kirsty; Sophie is keen to put Amber behind her as she and Sian plan their civil partnership; while Peter's thrown into turmoil when Emily asks him to make a speech at Friday's tram crash memorial service.
With Karl still not answering his phone, Stella's left to deal with the hen party alone. But just as the event descends into chaos, Lloyd arrives and gets behind the bar. They make a good team and as they clear up at the end of the night, Stella offers him a drink to say thanks.
The atmosphere's warm as Stella tells Lloyd that Cheryl was a fool to let him go. Misreading the signals, Lloyd kisses Stella. How will she react? And when Karl returns from a secret night of gambling at the casino, will he realise what's going on?
Meanwhile, Peter reveals to Ken that the anniversary of the tram crash has hit him like a sledgehammer and has made him think about things he's tried to forget. Struggling as the residents meet to discuss the memorial service, he makes an excuse and leaves. Bumping into Carla, who's upset after her run in with Sally, both admit they could murder a drink. Will either succumb?
Elsewhere, Sally grows closer to Frank as she assures him that she's on his side, while Tina is forced to pay the clampers a hefty fee to have Rita's car released.
Thursday
s Peter heads to the hospital to visit his sponsor from AA who's had a relapse, it's clear that he's still battling the cravings to drink himself. In the hospital, he's shocked to see how far Jonno's health has deteriorated since he fell off the wagon and the prognosis isn't good.
Back on the street, reminders of last year's tram crash are all around. Revealing that he's now been taken off Jack's birth certificate, Tyrone admires Peter for being able to put Leanne's infidelity behind them. But as Leanne makes plans with Stella for their wedding anniversary drinks tomorrow, Peter wonders if he really has moved on.
Relieved to get out of the pub, Peter heads to the doctor's with Leanne to get her scan results. But when Matt reveals her fallopian tubes are damaged and she won't be able to conceive naturally, it's another crushing blow for Peter who struggles to find the words to comfort her.
Aware he's on the brink, Peter heads to an AA meeting where he sees Carla. Peter tells the group his fears over making a speech at the memorial, while Carla speaks openly about her rape and how she wouldn't be here now without the help of a good friend.
The pair exchange knowing looks, but when news is delivered that Jonno has just passed away, Peter's devastated. Back at home, he tries again to write his speech but with no luck. Reaching for the bottle, will Peter drink to douse the pain?
Friday
It's Leanne and Peter's wedding anniversary, but Peter is haunted by reminders of the tram crash and drains the remains of the vodka. At the crash site, Peter asks Nick how he copes with what happened to Ashley. When Nick admits that it spurs him on to make the most of his life, Peter's thoughtful.
Later, the memorial's under way but when the vicar introduces Peter, he's nowhere to be found. Ken steps into the breach and makes a speech as Leanne worries. Peter storms into the corner shop and grabs a bottle of vodka, refusing to listen to Dev. Carla goes after him, but will she be powerless to prevent Peter's relapse?
Meanwhile, for Tyrone the memorial's an emotional reminder of what he's lost, but with Kirsty by his side, he gets through it. So when Kirsty tells Tyrone that Tina and Tommy are making her feel like an outsider, he vows to sort it out. Will the pair agree to make an effort with Kirsty?
Elsewhere, a guilty Lloyd struggles to stay out of Karl's way, while Faye refuses to have anything to do with Owen's pond as David and Kylie mock his nerdiness.
Ken is filled with dread as Dev reveals that Peter took drink from the shop. Deciding to keep it from Leanne until he's found Peter, he heads to the flat. However, Peter isn't there as Carla has taken him to hers to talk. She's understanding and doesn't judge as Peter admits that he's glad she found him. Opening up about his alcoholism, Peter is defeatist, but Carla urges him to fight it - insisting that he has everything to live for.
Back on the street, Ken is forced to tell Leanne that Peter has gone AWOL. Leanne is shattered but as Peter draws strength from Carla, he realises she's the only woman he can really be himself with. Carla tells Peter to go home to his wife, but can Peter walk away from the woman he really loves again or is it time to seize the day?
Meanwhile, when Kirsty has another dig at Tina, warning her off Tyrone, she heads home fuming where Tommy sets about consoling her. But at the pub, Tyrone's determined not to be maudlin and stuns Kirsty by asking her to move in with him. Will she accept?
Elsewhere, Owen's plastic heron goes walkabout, while Stella feels awkward when an unknowing Karl fetches Lloyd into the pub.
Peter Barlow fans, hang on to your hats. There's going to be a Peter Barlow special episode on Coronation Street next week, Thursday 8 December 2011.
It's called: A day in the life of Peter Barlow, alcoholic.
And it's all about Peter hitting the booze once again while wrestling with his demons over Carla.
A Peter-centric episode is definitely welcome, even though it'll be sad to see him fall off the wagon.
Peter's eyecandy though :( but I want him to stay with Leanne, they've been through so much
