Over on Coronation Street, Becky McDonald must endure another heartbreaking moment as she watches her half-sister Kylie bring little Max back to the street.

Kylie (Paula Lane) and her husband David (Jack P Shepherd) will soon be told that they've won permanent custody of the youngster, and it's not long before they're allowed to bring him home for good - as witnessed by a sad Becky.

The poignant moment comes just as Becky (Katherine Kelly) thinks she can move on with her life, now pleased that she has security for the future as her divorce settlement has come through.

When Becky quizzes David over why she wasn't kept in the loop over Max's return, he makes it clear that they want him to be happy and settled without her interference. Will Becky be able to accept this?

Monday

As Steve heads off on holiday with Tracy, Becky tries to remain positive, refusing to leave Weatherfield. However, when she sees Max moving into the Platt house, she's jolted.

Kylie's doing everything she can to settle Max into his new home, but when she receives a call from a client about a nail appointment, she's forced to rush off. Alone with Max, David does his best but as they play football in the garden, David gets into a row with Owen and when he takes his eye off Max, he disappears!

Meanwhile, when Ian comes into the Bistro to explain his company's position, Nick and Eva learn that all stock has been impounded. They head down to the warehouse to claim the wine Nick's paid for, but it's a waste of time. However, Eva vows that she isn't leaving empty handed and breaks into the building. Following her inside, Nick locates his stock. Will they get out without being caught?

Elsewhere, Amber offers to go to the cinema with Sophie when Sian is too busy; Frank's impressed with Sally's work when she proposes a potential deal for the factory; and Carla takes back the reins at Underworld

Kylie is hysterical with Max still missing and suddenly decides that Becky must have taken him after seeing him arrive earlier. Pinning her up against the café wall, Kylie demands to know where Max is, but a stunned Becky has no idea.

Panicking herself, Becky joins the search for Max, eventually finding him in the back room of the pub waiting for her. As she takes Max back to a shaken Kylie, how will she react to the news that Max was looking for Becky?

Meanwhile, with the security getting closer, Nick and Eva are forced to squeeze together and hide. It's a close shave and the sexual tension doesn't go unnoticed by either. Back on the street, they're giddy after their warehouse raid. Will they give into their mutual attraction?

Elsewhere, Sophie gets jealous when Amber cancels their cinema plans as her old flame Arj has turned up unexpectedly, while Owen suggests tearing down the Windass family's hazardous shed when Faye hurts herself in there

Thursday

Sophie is jealous as Amber spends time with Arj. Feeling guilty, she goes home to Sian, but as she tries to show her affection, Sophie knocks a drink over Sian's laptop - which has her coursework on it.

Sian's furious, so Sophie seeks solace at the shop. However, Amber soon confronts her, unhappy after Sophie spitefully told Dev about Arj being in the flat earlier in the week. Will an awkward Sophie tell Amber how she really feels about her?

Meanwhile, when Max says that he wants Becky to take him to nativity rehearsals, Kylie notes the tactful way Becky handles this. Grateful, Kylie asks Becky to join them, suggesting that it would be better for Max if Becky spent more time with him. Becky's emotional as the sisters edge closer.

Elsewhere, Sally's chuffed when Frank invites her to attend the meeting with Leydon; Gail's not happy when she discovers that Nick and Eva are an item; Stella and Karl invite Lloyd for dinner as operation cheer-up begins; while Matt hears that Nick's looking for waitressing staff and pushes Tina forward by exaggerating her experience

Friday

Sophie's in turmoil and is desperate to talk to Amber again, but Amber insists that there's nothing to say. Sophie's confused until Amber spells it out - declaring that their kiss meant nothing and she's not a lesbian. Upset, Sophie rushes from the shop, telling Sunita that she quits. Worried, Sunita goes after Sophie, who eventually breaks down - admitting her crush on Amber.

Comforting Sophie, Sunita urges her not to have her head turned by Amber as what she has with Sian is worth more than that. Acting on this, Sophie tells Sian that she doesn't want to wait until they're 18 to get married - they should make it happen now. Sian's confused, but Sophie's insistent - she wants to express her love for Sian and wants them to speak to their parents again. Touched by Sophie's words, Sian agrees - but will they be able to get Sally to do the same?

Meanwhile, Stella is not impressed to hear that Eva is dating Leanne's ex and warns her not to trust Nick. Annoyed, Eva slates her interfering mother to Nick, who admits that it's familiar territory for him with Gail. Overhearing, how will Gail react?

Elsewhere, Lloyd receives another setback when he is notified of an on-the-spot audit for the cab office, while Tina is thrown to discover that Matt has overstated her qualifications to Nick - will she be able to fumble her way through the interview?

Sophie pleads with her mum, but Sally's word is final. Alone, she reminds Sophie of her kiss with Amber, claiming that it proves they're too young to get married. But fuelled by the clash with her parents, Sophie urges Sian to run away to Scotland where they can marry without permission. Sian's shocked, but Sophie's persuasive and as she talks up the romance of eloping, Sian's swept along.

At work, Frank has helped Sally to see that it's not worth falling out with her daughter over this. But when she returns home to speak to Sophie, she's shocked to find a letter revealing that she's gone. Racing to the train station, will Sally get to the girls in time?

Meanwhile, Tina rails at Matt for bigging her up to Nick - she bombed in the interview because of him. A casual Matt says there'll be other jobs, but Tina reiterates that she has a job. As Tina realises that Matt has a problem dating a girl who works in a back street pub, will she call time on their relationship?

Elsewhere, Nick takes Eva home but the moment is ruined when they're interrupted by Gail; Stella tries to help Lloyd as he panics over the audit; while Owen's decision to dig a pond causes concern.

Coronation Street star Paula Lane has teased the drama ahead in Max's return episodes, which see the youngster do a disappearing act.

Lane's character Kylie Platt is thrilled in the coming days when she is finally allowed to bring her young son back home for good. However, things soon go wrong when Max goes missing while Kylie's husband David (Jack P Shepherd) is looking after him.

When Max is quickly found at The Rovers, where he was looking for Becky, Kylie is upset to learn that his attachment to her half-sister is still so strong.

Lane told Soaplife: "Kylie's hurt that Max had gone to find Becky, but she's also shocked by how much she's messed with her little boy's head. He needs a lot of loving and reassurance."

She continued: "Kylie feels second best to her sister. Becky gives the right kind of hugs and the right kind of kisses. She feels she can never match up to Becky in Max's eyes."

However, the actress also spoke of how Becky (Katherine Kelly) will become an unexpected source of support for Kylie in upcoming episodes.

"She's trying to accept as much help as is possible and Becky's actually encouraging her, telling her that she will get things right this time," Lane explained. "Kylie knows she must do better and do everything she can to make Max feel secure."

Coronation Street airs Max's return to Weatherfield on Monday at 7.30pm on ITV1.
