Coronation Street, bad boy Chris faces a backlash after his shock deception has finally been exposed.

Cheryl finally discovers the truth about Chris (Will Thorp) in this Friday's double bill of the soap, learning that his brain tumour has receded and he's been lying over his illness for weeks. Devastated by everything that's happened recently, Cheryl decides to leave the cobbles with Russ.

In the aftermath of Cheryl's departure, Chris holds out hope that he can rebuild his life in Weatherfield, so he asks Owen (Ian Puleston-Davies) for his job back. However, news of Chris's lies has spread and Owen makes it clear that he wants nothing more to do with him.

Blaming Lloyd for everything, Chris lashes out at the cabbie at the pub and a fight nearly breaks out as Lloyd retaliates.

Once the locals have stepped in to prevent a punch-up, Chris faces everyone's fury as Owen repeats that he's sacked, Jason declares that he wants Chris out of the flat and Stella announces that he's barred. Will Chris realise that there's nothing left for him on the cobbles?

A panicking Ciaran heads to the wedding venue, where he launches a charm offensive on the manager, explaining that he has a temporary cash flow problem. She agrees to hold the date until Friday, and with the clock ticking, he heads out to see Karl. Ciaran begs him to forget last night, explaining that he needs his wedding deposit back, but Karl refuses - he won it fairly and he's lost most of it in the bookies anyway.

Desperate, Ciaran turns to Peter, buttering him up by asking him to be his best man - before asking him to return his money. As Ciaran pleads the friendship card, will Peter be swayed?

Meanwhile, as Leanne refuses to tell Chris where Cheryl's gone, word spreads about his lie. A shocked Maria confronts Chris, and while he claims he did have feelings for her, he admits that Cheryl has always been the love of his life and he saw it as a chance to get his family back. When Maria questions what he'll do now, he asks Owen for his job back. But when Owen turns him down, will Chris realise there's nothing and no-one left on the street for him?

Elsewhere, Faye's not happy when she discovers that Owen has stayed the night at the Windass house; Dennis is in court for the trial of Rob and Janet from the homeless shelter, while Norris tells the Gazette all about Dennis's story.

After lying to Michelle about why Peter's fallen out with him, Ciaran starts ringing loan companies. He can't get the money in time and when Nick and Eva leave him to lock up the Bistro as they're off to meet a wine supplier, his mood worsens.

However, when a customer reveals that he's looking for a caterer to cover a birthday bash tomorrow, Ciaran sees a chance to cash in. Pretending he's co-owner, Ciaran does a deal, closes up and starts cooking. But will Nick or Michelle discover what he's up to?

Meanwhile, Dennis is on edge when Norris reveals that a woman named Norma Dixon has called looking for him after seeing his name in the paper. Rita questions a clearly shaken Dennis about what she might want. Will he reveal all?

Elsewhere, Stella is determined to have her share of Karl's winnings and heads out for some late night shopping; Becky's down after receiving her decree absolute from Steve and drowns her sorrows with Lloyd; while Faye feels sidelined by Anna and Owen.

Ciaran has worked all night to get the buffet ready, and as he delivers the food, he thinks he's pulled it off. However, Ciaran panics when the customer claims that his work's not done yet - he needs to be at the venue to serve the food. Enlisting Tina's help, he asks Gail to open up the Bistro and races off.

It's touch and go as Ciaran avoids Nick's calls and even bumps into Audrey at the party, but he pulls it off. However, when Michelle lets rip at Nick for making Ciaran work all night, just as the customer meets Ciaran to hand over the cash, will Nick smell a rat?

Meanwhile, Rita's worried as Dennis didn't come home last night, so she decides to call Norma Dixon to see if she knows why. Rita's shocked to hear that Dennis was engaged to Norma, but ran off on the day of the wedding. Will Dennis come back and explain himself?

Elsewhere, Leanne makes an appointment with the doctor to discuss her trouble conceiving; Stella's not happy with Karl after discovering how much money he threw away in the bookies, but Karl can't resist another bet; while Sunita and Leanne decide to organise a nativity play when they hear the school one has been cancelled.

As Michelle heads out wedding dress shopping, Ciaran throws himself at Nick's mercy - begging for his job back. However, Nick won't budge. Seeing his depth of desperation, Peter offers to lend Ciaran the cash he lost in order to save his relationship. Ciaran's grateful as he plans to get to the wedding venue fast and secure his booking.

However, while out shopping, Michelle and Maria have decided to have a peek at the venue. How will Michelle react when she discovers that Ciaran never paid the deposit and the date has gone to someone else?

Meanwhile, with Dennis still missing, Rita denies she has feelings for him but is comforted when Deirdre offers to help look for him. Asking Sophie for details of local soup kitchens, they head out. Eventually they spot him by a soup van, but will Rita be able to convince Dennis to come home?

Elsewhere, with Cheryl and Ciaran now gone from the Bistro, Nick offers a delighted Eva the post of bar manager and Gail the job of waitress; Kylie and David win permanent custody of Max; Becky taunts Tracy as she spends her divorce settlement; while Leanne worries when Doctor Matt says that she needs some tests done to look into her problems conceiving.

Ciaran is forced to come clean about gambling away the wedding deposit to a horrified Michelle. Admitting that he was searching for a buzz as he's bored of living on the street, he pleads with Michelle to return to the ships with him. As Carla arrives home, Michelle's torn, but desperate not to lose him, she eventually agrees.

Ciaran calls the cruise ship manager before revealing that they need to leave tonight. But as Michelle's friends give her a good send-off in the pub, how easy will it be to say goodbye?

Meanwhile, Nick's concerned that the wine he paid for still hasn't arrived, and he quizzes Eva about the supplier she introduced him to. When she goes looking for Ian, she's horrified to find the wine warehouse closed with a sign declaring bankruptcy. How will Nick react to this and the news that Ian is Eva's ex?

Elsewhere, Dennis must decide whether to do the right thing when Rita tells him that Norma deserves an explanation; Becky's floored when Steve suggests that she should use her divorce settlement to start a new life away from him and Tracy; while Peter's relieved to see Carla back on the street.
