Play Your Cards Right could return to ITV with a new series, reports have claimed.
The game show is currently in the process of being revamped and executives are planning to make a new pilot, according to The Sun.
Sir Bruce Forsyth hosted the original show, but he is expected to be replaced by Vernon Kay in the new version.
"Dreaming up new game show ideas is not easy so bosses decided to dip into the archives," a source said. "Play Your Cards Right was massively popular and it's an easy concept so they figured let's bring it back."
The insider continued: "Vernon is the obvious choice as he's made no bones about his love for Bruce and his desire to be his telly heir."
Kay currently hosts the new series of Family Fortunes, which was brought back in a celebrity format in 2006 after four years off the air.
He was recently forced to deny rumours that he will present a revamp of Through The Keyhole.
The new series of Play Your Cards Right is reportedly being lined up for next year.
