Home and Away actress Esther Anderson has revealed that her character Charlie Buckton will face tough decisions in the future.

Anderson explained that Charlie will soon deal with a crisis of conscience in relation to her relationship with Brax (Steve Peacocke), which may also affect her career in the police force.

Brax will be connected to an armed robbery investigation, which forces Charlie to consider breaking the law to clear his name.

"Charlie makes a shock decision to interfere with police evidence," Anderson told TV Week. "This decision could ultimately undermine her credibility as a police officer and force her to question the career she's worked so hard to establish.

"Charlie and Brax discuss the sacrifice she has made for him. She's quite upset, and Brax reveals he still has feelings for her."

When returning to Summer Bay after a trip out of town, along with Heath and Bianca, their car accidentally hits Liam (Axle Whitehead) on his motorbike.

Heath (Daniel Ewing) takes the blame for the incident to avoid people noticing that Brax and Charlie were together.

"Charlie is angry at Brax over this plan to lie - even though she knows the consequences of telling the truth are monumental for all," she added. "She's also extremely worried about Liam's injuries and what this will mean for her future friendship for Bianca."

Anderson recently denied rumours that she is in a real-life relationship with Peacocke.

Monday episode 5416 - 31/10/11

Following Liam’s accident, Bianca has been keeping a vigil at his bedside. Meanwhile, Heath tries to connect with Bianca but she just pushes him away – there’s nothing for them to discuss. On her way to school, April finds Heath passed out in the bushes – having written himself off in the wake of Bianca’s rejection. When Liam wakes from his coma he starts to recollect the accident – it wasn’t Heath in the other car, it was Brax and Charlie.

When Leah learns that VJ has run away she blames herself for falling apart around her son. Miles tries to be a support for Leah but she is hesitant to let him in. But when Miles receives a voice mail from VJ, Leah decides VJ must have gone to Queensland to visit Lily. On a mission, Leah decides to drive to find him and Miles insists he come along.

An internal Police investigation on the stolen evidence is pending, and Charlie has to lie to Watson about her continuing relationship with Brax. When Bianca hears of the stolen evidence she confronts Charlie over and the truth behind Charlie’s desire to keep her relationship with Brax a secret comes to light - their friendship tested with Bianca forced to lie to protect Charlie.

Tuesday episode 5417 - 1/11/11

Having woken up from his coma, Liam remembers Brax and Charlie behind the wheel in his accident but Bianca, desperate to keep Charlie’s lie going, swears Heath was the one behind the wheel - revealing they spent the weekend together. When Bianca tries to confront Charlie, she finds Brax who warns her to keep the lie going otherwise Charlie will end up in jail. Meanwhile, Liam demands he discontinue pain killers – since they seem to be messing with his memory of the accident. Bianca watches on, torn and guilty.

Charlie is conflicted over her dirty dealings so Brax takes her away to a secluded beach for a day. But reality soon comes crashing back and Charlie frets that their relationship can’t last like this. Brax reassures Charlie that with her resignation from the force will come the opportunity for them to be public with their love. Meanwhile, Brax has planted the stolen evidence on a hapless perp and when a furious Charlie finds out she tells Brax she can’t live like this anymore.

On a mission to find VJ, Miles and Leah set off on a road trip to Brisbane. The pair start to reconnect until Miles pulls Leah up on the way she’s treated him since their miscarriage – he’s tried so hard but she keeps shutting him out. In the midst of their discussion, Leah gets a call from her mum – VJ’s turned up in Melbourne and Leah needs to come get him. The pair agree to continue their talk when Leah returns.

Wednesday episode 5418 - 3/11/11

Charlie has decided to continue with her resignation, despite being cleared of the stolen evidence charge. But she has decided to stay clear of Brax – determined to put her life on the straight and narrow. Brax finds Charlie but she gives him an ultimatum – leave the River Boys or leave her alone. Later, as Ruby researches accommodation in the city for her uni course Charlie suggests they move to the city together. But when Charlie gets a visit from Brax he says he’s quit the River Boys for good.

Xavier tells Gina that he plans to backpack around Europe after school but Gina breaks the news that he’ll need 20 odd grand. But when John finds out he offers to sell his V8 in order to give Xavier a helping hand.

Stu walks in on Sasha being chatted up by a Schoolie but Sasha quickly steers Stu back to her place for some quiet time alone. But when Sasha gets a text from the Schoolie Stu flips out, slaps her then goes looking for the guy who texted her. After some advice from Ruby, Sasha decides to break up with her volatile boyfriend. Distraught and furious, Stu storms away from Sasha and steals Xavier’s V8 from out the front of the Surf Club.

Thursday episode 5419 - 3/11/11

After being dumped by Sasha, Stu has stolen Xavier’s V8 and gone for a joyride – much to the horror of Xavier and Sasha. When Stu returns with the car, Sasha tries to talk him down but he insists she get in the car before he speeds off. As the car careens down a bush road Stu demands Sasha reconsider her decision to leave him and fearing for both of their safety – she agrees to wear his ring again.

April has decided to take her relationship with Dex to the next ‘stage’ and asks him to stay at her place tonight after the schoolies party at the Surf Club. Over the moon, Dex gets ready for the big night only to have his hopes dashed when April has to cancel to care for a sick Irene. At the party, Xavier and Dex meet Dallas, the ‘virgin slayer’, who takes an instant shining to Dex and throws herself at him. After a visit from Sid, Irene is given the all clear and April heads to the party just in time to catch Dex lip-locked with Dallas.

Romeo gets a spike in business when his surf school is inundated with doe-eyed schoolie chicks looking for ‘one-on-one’ lessons. Romeo is chuffed about the new success of his surf school but Indi isn’t completely satisfied with his game plan for their future.

Friday episode 5420 - 4/11/11

After catching Dex and Dallas together at the schoolies party, April returns home crushed. Dex, meanwhile, tries to sneak away from Dallas – feeling guilty about his indiscretions. The following day, Dex pulls up at the Diner to a round of cheers celebrating his ‘score’ with Dallas as April watches on with horror before rushing past Dex and out the door. Later, Dex catches up with April to apologise but she turns him away – not about to forgive or forget.

Indi is giving Romeo a hard time about their financial security and becoming increasingly jealous of all his female surf school students. Meanwhile, she begins her internship and impresses Dennis with her ingenuity on her first day by posing as a swimsuit model in his promo shoot. When Romeo finds out, he argues with Indi that Dennis is a creep taking advantage of her, but just as Indi returns fire a guest arrives… it’s Mink, Romeo’s sister.

Harvey approaches Alf to give him a reference for the Marina contract but Alf isn’t forthcoming. When Harvey catches Dennis at the Diner, he asks for a second chance at the marina contract but Dennis quickly shuts the prospect down due to Harvey’s sketchy reputation. But once Dennis leaves, Harvey gets winds from Colleen that Dennis has been very generous to John and other community members in the lead up to the Resort development – offering gifts and dinners. With this information, Harvey blackmails John to either get in Dennis’ ear about Harvey’s marina contract or risk exposure of John’s ‘free dinners’ at Dennis’ expense.
