View Full Version : Megan Macey
Emmerdale bosses have announced that Gaynor Faye is joining the cast of the soap, taking on the role of Declan's glamorous half-sister Megan Macey.
Megan will make her debut on screen in early 2012 when she turns up to stay with Declan (Jason Merrells) at Home Farm, and show bosses have teased that she quickly makes an impact in the village.
Billed as "fiercely ambitious, intimidating and oozing self-confidence", Megan is able to stand up for herself against Declan and also shakes things up for his relationship with Katie (Sammy Winward).
Declan makes contact with his estranged sibling because he wants her to be involved in a big new project which looks likely to divide the village.
However, as Declan has been known for his turbulent family relationships in the past, viewers will be left to wonder whether he and Megan will become a formidable team or end up at odds.
Faye commented: "I'm incredibly excited to be joining Emmerdale and being a Yorkshire lass myself, filming in Leeds, my home town, is the icing on the cake!
"The women on Emmerdale are strong and feisty and I can't wait to play my character, who's fun but extremely driven and will stop at nothing to get her own way!
"She's quite different to many of the roles that I have played before and hopefully will take people by surprise. Here's to the New Year when I take my first tipple in The Woolpack!"
Emmerdale's series producer Stuart Blackburn added: "I'm thrilled to welcome Gaynor to the show. This is an exciting new character for us and a new era at Home Farm. Megan will quickly remind Declan she has a shrewd ability to get what she wants, when she wants it."
Faye is best known for roles in Coronation Street, Fat Friends and The Chase. She also starred in Playing The Field, on which she worked alongside Emmerdale actor James Thornton (John Barton).
i wondered where Gaynor Faye had got to, ive not seen her in anything for aces!

Emmerdale's series producer Stuart Blackburn has teased the upcoming arrival of Megan Macey, confirming that the show's newcomer will have a ruthless streak.
Emmerdale bosses recently announced that they had cast Gaynor Faye in the role of Megan, who is the half-sister of established regular Declan (Jason Merrells).
Blackburn has now promised that Megan will "really stir things up" when she makes her arrival in the village in early 2012.
"She's an incredibly strong and confident woman who won't allow herself to be used by men - or anyone," Blackburn told Inside Soap. "Megan is very competitive as well, and will really keep Declan on his toes.
"She'll have the likes of Charity and Chas rolling around with laughter, but then half an hour later, she'll shaft them! And she'll do it with a smile on her face, saying, 'It's only business, love!'"
Blackburn also hinted that there could be interesting scenes ahead between Megan and Carl King (Tom Lister).
He said: "When it comes to commitment to a fella, Megan would normally run a mile - but when lots of people in the village tell her not to go anywhere near Carl, it's like a red rag to a bull!"
Emmerdale star Emma Atkins has revealed that her character Charity Tate will not get along with newcomer Megan Macey.
Back in October, show bosses announced that Gaynor Faye had been cast in the role of Megan, who is the half-sister of Home Farm boss Declan.
Atkins teased the tension ahead as she made an appearance on The Alan Titchmarsh Show this afternoon.
Asked about her future at Emmerdale, the actress replied: "For now, I'm absolutely there - solid. I absolutely love my job and I'm happy - and it's working out really good.
"Who knows what's happening? But I'm about to start working with Gaynor Faye for a while, which will be good. I think we're going to be at loggerheads somewhat! That'll be interesting."
The 36-year-old said that she loves the drama surrounding Charity, who ties the knot with Jai Sharma this week.
"She's interesting, because she gets things wrong all the time," Atkins explained. "And I do like to play a character who's constantly in trouble. She never stops at a hurdle - she just keeps going!"
Emmerdale airs Charity's wedding episodes on Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV1. Meanwhile, Megan makes her arrival in the village next month.
Gaynor Faye has teased her arrival in Emmerdale as Declan Macey's half-sister.
The actress was cast as Megan back in October. Her arrival in the village surprises Declan's live-in girlfriend Katie Sudgen.
Katie soon witnesses her boyfriend arguing with Megan, whom Faye has described as "ruthless".
"Megan is a fantastic character. She's fiercely independent and strong-willed but there's a vulnerability to her. And there's a reason why she is the way she is," Faye told the Daily Star Sunday.
"She does love her brother but she's very competitive with him. He's always gone that one step further than her."
Declan and Megan have their first argument at Home Farm a week on Friday.
Megan will also clash with Charity Tate (Emma Atkins) when she arrives in Emmerdale.
Emmerdale's new recruit Gaynor Faye has revealed that she is delighted to be playing a "mean" character on the soap.
The actress recently landed the role of Declan Macey's half-sister Megan, who makes her arrival on screen in a week's time.
Show bosses have billed Megan as a strong, confident and competitive woman who can be ruthless when it comes to business.
Faye told The Mirror of her new part: "It's fantastic. I can't wait to be a baddie and start being mean. Everyone is so used to seeing me as 'nice' characters, mums and girl-next-door types.
"Even if the people I play don't start out lovely, they usually end up that way. Look at Judy Mallet in Corrie or Lauren in Fat Friends.
"So being Megan is going to be really good fun. She's a bit of a Kim Tate - bad but with glimmers of vulnerability. She'll burst in and cause mayhem. She's going to stir up the men and rile the women."
Megan arrives in the village after Declan (Jason Merrells) invites her to organise a music festival that he is planning. However, she then keeps him on his toes over whether she will accept his offer - annoying his partner Katie (Sammy Winward) in the process.
Emmerdale airs Megan's first episode on Tuesday, February 21 at 7pm on ITV1.
Emmerdale's new recruit Gaynor Faye has revealed that she will be sticking around on the soap for at least a year.
The actress has landed a 12-month contract to play Megan Macey, the ruthless half-sister of established character Declan (Jason Merrells).
Megan arrives in the village next Tuesday after Declan asks her to help organise a music festival that he is planning.
Faye told TV Times: "I've signed up for at least a year. I've been watching Emmerdale for the past six months and I'm hooked by the great storylines.
"I'm thrilled to be joining and the great thing is, I only live 25 minutes away."
She continued: "It's such a luxury to be working these days, especially to be so near home and in such a fabulous part. I feel like I've been handed a really fantastic present."
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV1.
Emmerdale newcomer Gaynor Faye has admitted that her character Megan Macey struggles to trust half-brother Declan.
Megan arrives in the village next week after Declan (Jason Merrells) asks her to help him organise a music festival that he is planning.
However, as Megan had a previous deal with Declan that went badly wrong, she is left with a huge dilemma over whether to take on the project.
Faye told TV Choice: "Megan's very dubious as to whether Declan's intentions are honourable this time around. She respects him, but she's also jealous of him. She comes up with ideas, then he goes and makes them happen.
"It's probably because he's got more money and more clout than her, and because he's a man. She's always lived slightly in his shadow, and she doesn't like that."
The actress added that a number of characters end up on the receiving end of Megan's flirtatious advances.
She said: "Megan flirts with everybody - from Bob to Carl and probably even Sam Dingle. No-one is safe!"
Emmerdale airs Megan's first episode on Tuesday, February 21 at 7pm on ITV1.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has revealed that she wants her character Megan Macey to be "a baddie that people love".
Megan makes her debut in the village in Tuesday's (February 21) episode of the soap, arriving at Home Farm after being invited by her half-brother Declan (Jason Merrells).
As Declan is currently making plans for a music festival, he hopes that ruthless Megan will take charge of organising the event - convinced that she has the skills he needs.
Faye told the Daily Record: "As a human being you want to be liked, but as an actress it is much better to play somebody who is a baddie or somebody who is disliked - it is much more interesting to play that.
"I want people to like the character and what she stirs up in the village. A baddie that people love. That's what I am going to aim for."
Discussing Megan's personality, the actress explained: "She's strong and independent and feisty - quite different from the parts I normally play, which are usually mumsy. She's somebody I've always wanted to play, a fiercely independent woman who is used to living and working in a male environment.
"She is a business consultant, who goes in and sorts them out and she takes that no-nonsense approach into her personal life. She can't seem to differentiate sorting out business and sorting out life and she is not good at relationships. I'm hopefully going to be here for a while and cause a bit of mayhem in the village."
Faye has signed a one-year deal with the soap.
Emmerdale's new recruit Gaynor Faye has admitted that she is expecting her character Megan Macey to provoke strong reactions from viewers.
The actress joked that fans may start telling her off over the bitchy antics of Megan, who joined the village last week.
Megan is overseeing her half-brother Declan's plans for a music festival, but has been tipped to ruffle feathers among the local residents as she does so.
Faye told The Alan Titchmarsh Show: "It is wonderful walking in there with that power. Everyone just goes, 'Who is she?' - and I do too!
"She's a bit of a cowbag obviously, and a lot of the women don't like her. She's going to wreak havoc in the village and it's great fun to play. I didn't realise [it would be] - I was a bit scared to play the nasty one!"
She continued: "I love to say hello to [fans], but I might get handbagged in the supermarket this time - I'm a bit worried about that! It's great as an actress to play a baddie, but for me, I'm always thinking, 'Please like me!'"
Faye's Emmerdale role comes 12 years after she bowed out from playing Coronation Street's Judy Mallett.
"I was ready to get into something long-running again," she added. "Emmerdale's on brilliant form, it's so fantastic - the writing, the acting, the production team, they're just so lovely."
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV1.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has warned that Declan Macey is "going too far" when he tries to track down her character Megan's estranged son.
Upcoming episodes of the ITV1 soap will reveal that Megan had a baby named Robbie in her teenage years, but put him up for adoption following pressure from her loved ones.
Megan's regrets over her past come to the surface in the next few weeks, prompting half-brother Declan (Jason Merrells) to decide that he should find Robbie.
Faye told Soaplife: "She'd be furious if she knew. Megan is always telling Declan to keep his nose out of her life. They may be good at business together, but they're not good at each other's personal lives. And him interfering in this is going too far."
Revealing Megan's history, the actress continued: "She was in her late teens when she had [Robbie], but it's not revealed yet whether the baby was the result of a fling or a longer relationship.
"But it seems no-one was really there for her - neither Declan or her dad. The consensus was she should have the baby adopted and get on with her life, that she should forget it ever happened.
"She hasn't seen Robbie since she gave him up. She ignored a letter he wrote to her years back, but finding him is still something that's always at the back of her mind."
Emmerdale bosses recently announced that TV newcomer Jamie Shelton has been cast as Robbie, who arrives in the village in May.

So Robbie is her son
Gaynor Faye has declared that she is living a life of "luxury" on Emmerdale.
Former Coronation Street actress Faye, who joined the Emmerdale cast last year, plays Declan's half-sister Megan Macey.
The star, who has two children, revealed that working in her home county of Yorkshire has improved her family life, and said that she hopes for a long stay in the ITV soap.
She told Reveal magazine: "My job has taken me all over the world, so the fact I can see my children every day is fantastic.
"I wake up in my own bed and go back to my own house in the evening. It's lovely. Actually, it's more than that. It's a real luxury!"
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old insisted that she would never use plastic surgery, adding: "I'm an actress. I need to use my face and expressions so I'd never freeze them."
Emmerdale star Tom Lister has revealed that Carl King's upcoming passion with Megan Macey will be an on-off affair.
Carl agrees to spend the night with Megan (Gaynor Faye) in this evening's (April 19) double bill after giving her a lift home from a make-up party at Mill Cottage.
Lister today told Daybreak that Carl and Megan will continue to be in each other's lives for some time to come.
"Things are obviously starting to kick off with Gaynor, and she's fantastic," he explained. "[Megan's] a very complex character and she's got lots of secrets in the closet.
"Carl and her start to hit it off, but neither of them wants to really let the other one have the upper hand. So they're on, they're off, they're on, they're off and it's a little bit like that."
However, Lister confessed that many Emmerdale fans still seem keen for Carl to reunite with his ex-fiancée Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).
He said: "Whenever I go out anywhere, everybody always asks, 'Are Carl and Chas going to get back together?' So that tends to be the question on everybody's lips whenever we're out and about - myself and Lucy always get asked that."
Pondering whether Megan could be the one for Carl, Lister added: "You never know - it's early days. Who knows where it's going to go?"
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm and 8pm on ITV1.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has revealed that she was close to ending her acting career before she landed the role of Megan Macey.
The 40-year-old signed up to play Megan last October and arrived on screen in February. She had previously been working as part of the creative team on BBC One's The Syndicate, which was written by her mother Kay Mellor.
Speaking on Loose Women today (May 17), the actress hailed Emmerdale as a perfect job as she lives close to the show's studios in Leeds.
Faye commented: "It's such bliss to be able to wake from my own bed. I've toured for three or four years before that, doing lots of theatre and things. In fact, I was at the point of thinking of changing my career - starting writing and getting into the script editing more.
"I actually script edited The Syndicate, and I started to do that thinking that was more for me. I wanted to be at home and see my kids growing up, because you blink and they've gone off to university."
Faye added that she first became interested in joining Emmerdale when she watched Jackson Walsh's tragic storyline last year.
She said: "I'd watched the suicide plot, and I just thought that they researched it so well. They handled it all so sensitively. I remember watching an interview [with] the producers and the cast members on This Morning, and just thinking what a great show it was and going, 'Oh, that's Yorkshire!'
"Then I thought nothing more of it, and it all just fell into place, really."
Emmerdale fans will see Megan reunited with her son Robbie in tonight's double bill of the soap.
Emmerdale's Gaynor Faye has claimed that Megan Macey and Carl King have deep feelings for one another.
The actress, who joined the village serial last October, believes that the pair have the potential to turn their romance into a long-lasting relationship.
''They're a bit commitment-phobic, but they fancy each other and they're sexually compatible," she admitted to Inside Soap.
"Each of them is trying hard not to let the other one know that they care. I think they've genuinely fallen for one another, but won't let on," the star added.
Carl actor Tom Lister previously suggested his alter ego's link with Megan will last for some time, but insisted any relationship would be turbulent.
Faye recently revealed that she is expecting "a real thrill" for Emmerdale's 40th-anniversary live episode later this year.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has revealed that her character Megan Macey is set to lose her latest battle with half-brother Declan.
Declan (Jason Merrells) is about to return home from honeymoon and face more rows with Megan, who is determined to teach him a lesson for conning her.
However, speaking on This Morning today (November 6), Faye confirmed that Megan and her son Robbie will be forced to leave the village temporarily as Declan manages to maintain the upper hand.
Faye explained: "She's stolen the keys and is squatting currently at Mulberry Cottage with Robbie, and of course Declan and Katie come back tonight from their honeymoon and discover that Megan hasn't gone back down south. She's still there meddling."
She continued: "It's quite sad, really, what happens. There is a love there, but there's sibling rivalry from way, way, way back - right from when they were kids.
"Megan's always trying to get one up on Declan, but he always manages to pull out a trump card - which he does again! He sends Megan off to London with her tail between her legs, and Robbie on a lead!"
Asked whether Megan will eventually return from London, Faye replied: "I think that would be telling. [But] I have been filming recently in Yorkshire!"
Emmerdale businesswoman Megan Macey resorts to blackmail next week as she plots to evict the Spencer family from Brook Cottage.
Megan's mind goes into overdrive when she starts to see Brook as a dream home for her and son Robbie.
When Rachel Breckle (Gemma Oaten) finds out what's going on, she is keen to defend her sister Ali and finds herself in a huge row with Megan. However, when Rachel resorts to violence, it seems that she has played into the schemer's hands as Megan threatens to press charges unless she gets the cottage.
Here, Gaynor Faye - who plays Megan - teases her character's feud with the unruly Spencer clan.
Why does Megan start trying to get the Spencers out of Brook Cottage?
"I think Megan has started to see Brook as a potential little cottage which would be a nice place for her and Robbie to live themselves. She wants them to have a lovely cottage to live as mum and son, as she wants them to bond. Megan also doesn't like the Spencers - she has an immediate aversion to them!"
What sparks the showdown between Megan and Rachel?
"It starts when Megan goes round to the cottage to do a refit. She's looking into getting a bathroom fitted, along with some other bits and pieces. However, Rachel discovers that this is for Megan herself.
"Megan really doesn't care whether Rachel knows the truth or not, as it's none of her business. She then decides to bring up Rachel's son Archie being a dirty secret. Rachel just goes for her!
"Megan doesn't retaliate for two reasons - she doesn't want to stoop to Rachel's level, and she also sees this immediately as a way to get these people out."

Rachel punches Megan
What was it like to film the punching scene?
"It was fine. If you've got a punch scene, my main thing is that I want them to look as real as possible, so I always go for them. Bless Gemma, as she was nervous about doing it but I kept saying, 'Go for it! I'll be going for it when I throw my head back!'
"In fact, the next day I had severe neckache - I think I'd given myself whiplash by throwing my head back so far! But it's fine, as you don't want scenes to look fake."
Is Megan serious about her threats to report Rachel for assault?
"I think Megan has every intention to get Rachel done, but then she realises that she can get something better out of the situation - which is getting the cottage.
"The threat of phoning the police and getting Rachel banged up for assault is enough for Ali to step in and say, 'What can we do to make this right? I don't want my sister in prison'. Megan uses it to her advantage and says that she wants the cottage."
Do you think Megan is being a little bit unfair to the Spencers?
"Well, in the beginning, she literally just tells them to get rid of the dog. That's a simple request, because the dog isn't part of the contract. Megan is well within her rights to do that.
"Then Sean starts having a go at her and I think Megan gets wound up by the Spencers. Originally it's not her being mean - it's her standing up for herself, but then it turns into something else when they're stubborn and don't back down. I suppose it is a bit nasty when she wants the cottage to herself."

Megan tells Ali to get rid of the dog
Will Megan give the cottage a makeover if she gets her hands on it long-term?
"Well, we'll have to wait and see if she gets her hands on it first!"
What's it been like working with a dog in your recent scenes?
"I'm allergic to dogs so it's not great! No, the dog is gorgeous and is only brought in when really needed. It's actually quite a rare breed. I was supposed to complain about the 'skanky dog' in one of my scenes, but I said I didn't think I should say that because it's a rare breed dog!"
What else is coming up for Megan?
"Well, she's not just in Home Farm anymore - she's involved all around the village and she's got fingers in lots of pies. I know that her and Declan are working on a project and it turns quite sinister.
"And who knows where she's going with Robbie? At the moment she's a floater around the village!

I thought Megan had another cottage in Emmerdale or did she leave that and is now living in Home Farm?
Gaynor Faye has revealed that she wants her character Megan Macey to find love.
The actress admitted that she gets her hopes up every time a new man is introduced to the soap.
Speaking to Inside Soap, she said: "Every time a new man shows up in the village, I wonder if he's for Megan - and I'm always told no! When she first arrived, she had a fling with Carl - but men don't appear to be top of her list right now.
"It would be nice for her to have a romance at some point. I do wonder if she'll be single forever. Perhaps she's too hard to handle?"
Despite her alter ego's lack of romance, Faye revealed that she is very fond of her co-stars.
She said: "We have Home Farm dinners. Me, Sammy Winward, Jason Merrells and Nicola Wheeler get together for them. One of my favourite nights was when we went out for a Japanese meal and ended up in a cellar bar in Leeds. There was a Caribbean band playing and it felt like we were abroad. Those random nights are always the best."
Faye also added that her 12-year-old son watches Emmerdale and has a particular interest in Chelsea Halfpenny.
"My son absolutely loves the show. It's strange, because I didn't think it would appeal to a 12-year-old. He says, 'Mum, can we watch Emmerdale?' It's not to do with me being in it, though.
"He's got a crush on Chelsea Halfpenny, who plays Amy. He's always asking me how she is if he sees her on TV that day."
Faye recently praised the younger cast in the soap for their 'fantastic' acting.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has revealed that her alter ego Megan Macey has her sights set on being queen of Home Farm.
Megan and her brother Declan (Jason Merrells) will soon be thrown into crisis in the wake of a body being dug up at the glamping site. However, Megan uses the opportunity to get the upper hand on Delcan.
Faye told Inside Soap: "Megan has her sights set on being queen of Home Farm, as Declan faces losing everything in the wake of the body being dug up at the HomeFields site.
"It'll be great to see Megan react to Declan being on his uppers - she's always been beneath her brother. There could be a power shift in their relationship.
"The question is will they build their empire up again, or will they be ruined for good?"
Emmerdale continues tonight (August 7) at 7pm on ITV.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has said that her character Megan Macey is not a real villain.
Megan and her brother Declan (Jason Merrells) will find themselves in further turmoil tonight (August 21) as the police confirm that the person buried at the festival site was murdered eight months ago.
However, Faye revealed that the latest drama for the siblings means they have to be on the same side for a change.
Speaking on Daybreak, the actress said: "At the moment she's being tested because she has to work with her brother as a united front.
"Usually she's going against him and the undercurrent is that she's going to shaft him in the end. But actually this time she has to work with him.
"She's not an out-and-out villain. She's basically very cold and calculated and manipulative. I call her 'manipulative Megan', because everything she does is for her. "
Faye also explained that she would like her alter ego to find romance in the village.
She said: "Well, I've had a little dalliance. Who knows? Most of my scenes are with Jason at the moment, and he's my brother so there can't really be an interest there. That would be a storyline, but it's not going there I don't think!
"I'd love to have a lover on the show - it'd be fantastic. It just brings another dimension to the character, I think. But at the moment it's all guns blazing with the Maceys. It's a turbulent time."
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
Life at Home Farm takes a dark turn on Emmerdale next week as Declan Macey becomes violent with his sister Megan.
Declan (Jason Merrells) knows that he is facing financial ruin unless businessman Gil (David Easter) buys up his properties. When the planned deal turns sour, it's Megan who bears the brunt of Declan's fury in a shocking scene…
Here, Gaynor Faye - who plays Megan - chats about exploring the issue of domestic violence.
How would you say Megan has coped with Declan's financial difficulties?
"I think Megan tried to take over the ropes, because obviously Declan's mind is not very stable at the moment with Katie leaving, all the financial problems, the festival and the body. He is just totally losing a sense of purpose, and I think Megan ram-rollered in there and said, 'I'll sort it'.
"Megan tried to keep Declan upbeat. She's very much been the supportive sister, but also knowing and worrying about her brother's health. She is trying to steer him in the right direction, but he's not very accommodating."
Would you say Megan copes with stress better than Declan does?
"I think that's the thing with Megan and that's why she comes across as quite cold. Basically she's ruthless and she'll just steamroller through a problem. She'll always try and solve the problem and she's always thought her brother would do that too - she looks up to Declan.
"But in this case, I think Declan has just got so much going on in his head that he can't see the wood from the trees. Because Megan is not romantically involved, she's got a clarity of mind, she knows exactly what to do and she is focusing on anything - she wants to turn the propety into a hotel, or do events there. Megan is looking at the bigger picture, really, not just a quick fix. She's trying to stimulate Declan into doing so too, but it's falling on deaf ears."
How important is it to Megan that Home Farm doesn't go under?
"Well as we've found out with Megan, she doesn't have anywhere to go. She has no place in London and she's got her son living with her, so for her it's her home too. It's not just Declan's empire, it's part of Megan's empire too now. It's for her brother that she doesn't want it to go under, but also for herself and her son who will be homeless too if Home Farm goes under.
"Even though it's not her business, Megan would see it as her failing as well as Declan's. Megan wants to be productive and get more and more businesses and things under their belt. She doesn't want to lose them."
Is there a history of violence between Declan and Megan that we haven't heard about so far?
"We don't really know much about Declan and Megan's past, and that's something that I'd love to explore. That's great because it leaves it wide open for the writers and the producer Kate [Oates] to develop what happened in their background.
"We found out, in a small way, what happened to Robbie with his adopted parents. His father was abusive to his mother, so Robbie's been down that path, but we don't know about Declan and Megan's past. However, as far as I know, I can't imagine many people would be able to do something like that to Megan and get away with it."
How do you feel about Megan being chosen for this storyline?
"Personally, Megan is not somebody who you would expect to have been abused in any which way, but that is a surface thing. This is the best thing about this - we're going to get to discover more about Megan and actually how she does react to something like this. I think it's in a way that you would never believe somebody as strong-willed as Megan would behave.
"But that's how domestic violence can show itself, even with women and men who you would never think would stand for that kind of behaviour. To the likes of us, we can't understand it. We all think, 'Why on earth would they stay with that person? You'd run a mile a minute if that happened'. I think it's actually very different - I've spoken to people and it's very different how they are. You always think that they won't do it again or wonder, 'What did I do to make that happen?'
"Megan very much looks at herself and thinks, 'I must have done something to make him react like that. He's not in the right state of mind'. She makes so many excuses for Declan and this shows how much she loves her brother, and how much she's willing to forgive him for what he does to her."
Can you tell us about the moment where Declan gets physical?
"It's fantastic to have this story and to highlight domestic violence within siblings as well. I've looked into it quite a lot and it happens quite frequently, especially when they're younger. I think that we didn't want Declan to just lose it and lash out, because we've invested too much in their relationship. So Megan does get up in Declan's face, because she's passionate about what she wants him to do and that he can't just treat people the way he has done.
"Megan is trying to help him, but when she gets up in his face, that's when he lashes out. So we wanted to create a scenario where you kind of see it from both points of view, not that there's ever any excuse for domestic violence. We didn't want him to just lash out from nowhere.
"Then we've got a journey to play for where it will go after that, because some people might go, 'Wow, she was out of order for what she said'. That is me not condoning domestic violence, but it kind of gives you something to play off. There will be two schools of thought on how Megan should have dealt with the situation, and how Declan behaved."
Did you have a stunt double for this scene?
"To be honest with you, they brought somebody in and I didn't really understand why, because I've done a lot of my own stunts. I've recently done something and I've got a massive bruise on my bottom, a massive bruise on my arm, and it was kind of a bigger stunt I've done since then!
"I think they just wanted to be safe because it's quite a dramatic slap and it involves falling onto a table. I pretty much do most of it - she just falls onto the table - so it wasn't needed, but some people might not necessarily want to go though that. I quite understand if somebody doesn't want to be put through that.
"I trusted Jason enough, and there was a fight person there. There always is for the element of safety - there's always a person there to show you the best way to do it so it looks real."
How badly is Megan affected by what happens?
"I think the thing with any sort of domestic violence is that it can only change the relationship. The relationship can never be the same again, because that will always be in the back of your mind, that the other person had lashed out.
"I think it makes Megan very fearful of Declan. It makes her worry about the state of his mind, what's going on in his head and whether they can actually ever be the same. Can she speak her mind in front of him? I mean, these two are business partners - she has to say what she feels about getting smacked. I think it's irreparable - she is open to them sorting it out, but she'll never forget it."
Robbie is disgusted by Declan's behaviour and tries to get Katie involved. How does Megan feel about that?
"The last thing Megan wants is anybody involved. She doesn't want anybody to know. She doesn't even confide in Robbie for a long time, it's only through his persistence and his inability to leave it alone that he finds out.
"But she certainly doesn't want Katie to know. That would be the worst thing because Katie is at the root of this - that's how Megan feels. Without Katie grassing to the police and without Katie leaving Declan, the problems wouldn't have started. I think that Megan pins a lot of this on Katie."
Megan is quite determined to stick by Declan. Is that just for business reasons, or is it more than that?
"Apart from Robbie, who was estranged to her until last year, Declan is her family. That's all she's got. She doesn't have a partner, she doesn't have a mum as her mother's died, and her father's in Ireland.
"Declan is all Megan has got, really, and I think they have a really strong sibling bond - these two dysfunctional businesspeople who find emotion really hard. They're emotionally crippled in lots of ways.
"Megan doesn't want to lose Declan in any which way - she doesn't want to lose him mentally, she doesn't want to lose him financially and she doesn't want to lose him as a brother. So I think it's quite a complex relationship they have, but she definitely wants to be there for him through thick and thin."
Megan even tries to seduce Gil to get him on side, doesn't she?
"Yes, the main goal with Gil is definitely a means to an end. She wants to get him involved - she wants him to invest in the business or buy the properties. The way she weaves her magic is the way she thinks will attract him to the investment. It's very below the belt for Megan, but I think she's struggling and she's grasping at straws herself. She doesn't know what to do.
"So Megan has kind of gone for the last resort - low-cut tops, taking appeal to his bad boy behaviour and to try and get somewhere that way. Gil can see straight through her, really. She'll try anything, that's her main function. Where Gil's concerned it's to get him to invest, and when he doesn't I think that's that."
Gil later asks Megan to work for him. How does she feel about that?
"Obviously it's after this violence with Declan, and I think this is what really tips Megan over the edge. As much she would never, ever betray her brother by going to work for somebody else, especially while he's in the depths of this depression that he's in, she also realises that she has to get out.
"She can't stay there, as she's not doing Declan any good being there. Because he's just using her as a whipping boy, he doesn't seem to be taking anything that Megan says with any strength. She's desperately trying to make the business work for all of them, and I think she sees it as a way out. But she doesn't particularly want to go off to London and leave Declan behind."
If Megan did accept the job, would she still be prepared to mix business with pleasure by flirting with Gil?
"I think for Megan, Gil hasn't invested in their business. However, there is a job on offer and he's already said he'll pay her more. She's got her get-out, and that's where I think it probably will end, really."
David Easter is playing the role of Gil. What has he been like to work with?
"I only realised that David was coming on when I saw the script and it had his name on it. I knew that he'd been on Brookside and Family Affairs, so it was great. Obviously he was very experienced - he knows what he's doing, comes in and knows his lines. It's fantastic to work with somebody who's been there and done it.
"He played Gil fantastically, very suave and simmering with a glint in his eye. I had some sensitive stuff to do obviously, with going out looking a bit raunchy. So it was great that I could have somebody to play off."
Will anything else physical happen between Megan and Declan?
"It is a case of 'wait and see'. Declan is just going down and down and down - it seems like everything he touches is crumbling. There's only one person whom he can take his depression, anger and angst out on - and it's Megan unfortunately. So who knows where it's going to go?
"It definitely takes some dark twists and turns, and Declan is far from the bottom of where he's going. He's going to hit rock bottom, and we're going to see some horrible twists and turns with Declan and with their relationship…"
Megan does a Charity and tries to flaunt her charms to get Gil to invest. No wonder he sees through it. At least she doesn't sleep with him lol.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has revealed that there is romance on the horizon for her character Megan Macey.
The actress promised a new love interest for Megan and more Macey family dramas as she was interviewed on ITV's Loose
Megan has experienced a tough few weeks after her near-death experience in the Home Farm fire at Christmas, and she is still blissfully unaware that her brother Declan (Jason Merrells) started the blaze.
Discussing Megan's future stories, Faye explained: "In her eyes, Declan is a knight in shining armour, so she has absolutely no idea. She never actually blames her brother - it's always everybody around her. It was either Katie or now it's Charity. All of her venom is towards them rather than her 'dear brother'!
"It's fantastic because Charity and Megan are very headstrong. They're going to lock horns and we'll see a bit of [Dynasty's] Krystle and Alexis coming out hopefully!
"There's also Home Farm and who owns what, and there might be a little love interest for Megan coming up. Thank goodness for that!"

Declan, Megan and Charity
Faye also said that she was pleased with the response to last year's domestic violence story for Megan, which saw Declan turn violent against his sister on more than one occasion.
She explained: "That was very hard, especially for Jason. He didn't particularly like doing it, but it was great to highlight that somebody who was as strong as Megan could be abused and suffer in silence. She didn't want to tell anyone [but] it got out accidentally.
"I think she would have continued burying that for the sake of her pride and for the sake of her brother. She didn't want to drop him in it. [The reaction] was so positive and I was so pleased that they'd done such great research on it."

Megan Macey becomes the latest victim of scheming Charity next week as the ruthless blonde makes a wicked plan.
With Charity (Emma Atkins) needing to explain why she is no longer pregnant following a secret termination, she spies an opportunity to pin the blame on Megan when another clash between the two women turns physical.
Here, Gaynor Faye - who plays Megan - reveals how her character is completely fooled as Charity fakes a miscarriage…
Megan tries her best to sabotage Declan and Charity's wedding this week. Why is that?
"Megan doesn't trust Charity as far as she can throw her. She thinks that Charity is definitely after Declan's money and their engagement has happened far too quickly. She knows there's something underneath it all.
"Megan is trying to find out what's going on before they tie the knot, and she'll do whatever she can to jeopardise them being together. But whether her attempts work or not is yet to be seen…"
Why does Megan hate Charity so much?
"I think that they're very evenly-matched. They're a different kind of social status, but they're very similar people. They're both very business-orientated and headstrong women who don't like people getting the better of them. They're driven by money and power, so when you get those two together, they're always going to clash!"
Does Megan have any idea that Charity is planning to terminate her pregnancy?
"She has absolutely no idea at all. I don't think Megan would think that for a minute. In fact, she'd think the opposite - that Charity would have a baby just to annoy Jai. She doesn't think for a second that Charity would do that."
Megan knocks Charity over in an argument next week. How does that come about?
"It's just another battle between them. They're arguing about the wedding and Megan is once again saying that Charity only got pregnant because she's after Declan's money, knowing how desperate Declan had been to have a baby.
"Megan goes to walk out and Charity grabs her. When Megan then pulls her arm away, Charity over-balances and falls over. Unfortunately for Megan, she falls right into Charity's trap…"
Does Megan instantly worry about the baby?
"Yeah, obviously if you're party to somebody falling over knowing that they're in the early stages of pregnancy, you're always going to worry. Charity plays on that straight away. Debbie is also there witnessing it all, so Charity has got her ally."
Later at the hospital, the doctors confirm that they can't find a heartbeat for Charity's baby. Does Megan blame herself?
"Yeah, especially as Megan knows how desperate Declan is for a child. Megan will feel guilty until the truth comes out - if it comes out at all!"
The viewers will know that Charity has already had the termination at this point. Does Megan have any suspicion that everything may not be as it seems?
"Well, Megan would never do something so despicable as what Charity does. Obviously Megan's had a baby herself in the past and went ahead with the pregnancy even though she was very young, so I don't think Charity's twisted plan would even enter Megan's mind. She doesn't believe at all that Charity would do anything like that."
Initially, Charity tells Declan about the 'miscarriage' but not the fall. Does Megan worry about how Declan would react if he did find out?
"Definitely. Megan really feels desperately bad about Charity losing the baby. The fact that she could be culpable for it is horrific. Megan also knows that Declan would just hit the roof if he found out, and anything could happen. She has been at the end of Declan's fists in the past and she fears that he could lose the plot again. That scares Megan."
Does Megan trust Charity not to tell Declan?
"No, I think Megan knows full well that Charity is going to use this at every given moment. She's going to use it totally against Megan.
"Megan thinks for one small moment that Charity may not tell Declan because of the hurt it would cause him, but that's soon over because Charity comes back to work full force and it's very obvious that she's going to use it to her advantage."
Does the guilt weigh heavily on Megan's mind?
"Yeah, the moment that Charity fell was probably the worst day ever for Megan. She feels desperately sorry for it and the guilt weighs heavily on her shoulders. Megan doesn't want to be responsible for her brother losing another child. She doesn't want anyone to lose a baby, but definitely not her brother."
Megan ends up making two life-changing decisions as a result of this situation. Could she be forced to leave the village?
"This is a massive thing for Declan, so when and if he finds out, there will be hell to pay. It's whether he sides with Megan or Charity, but for him, his number one ambition in life is to have a child.
"Megan obviously can't give Declan a child, so his loyalty is with Charity. Megan could be forced out of the village and she could lose everything. We'll have to wait and see what happens…"

Megan Macey returns to Home Farm for its relaunch next week, where she clashes with Charity once again.
After agreeing to go into business with Leyla Harding, Megan comes face-to-face with Charity and goads her about her recent miscarriage, but will she learn the truth?
Here, Gaynor Faye - who plays Megan - previews the Home Farm relaunch and hints at future drama when Charity's secret is revealed.
How are things with Jai and Megan at the moment?
"Jai and Megan are in a strange place. They are still romantically linked, but Megan has tried to get into business with him having lost Home Farm to Charity, which is still a bitter thorn in her side. In the meantime, Leyla has fought to go into business with Jai, and she won. Jai picked Leyla over Megan, which didn't go down particularly well.
"I think for Megan, Jai is still her partner and she is very much involved in it romantically, but I am not sure if Jai's motives are always that clear-cut. He said to Megan that he didn't want to mix business and pleasure. Megan tends to take over, whereas Jai thought he could boss Leyla around, and she would still work on the factory floor and he would take her money, but she said 'no chance'. I think that is the reason that Megan starts to like Leyla - she sees a fire in her. Megan is very cold but she respect women who are strong, and people who are strong."
Leyla and Megan decide to go into business together - how does that come about?
"Leyla is like a Rottweiler - she goes after what she wants and grabs hold of it. Megan likes that about her, and she thinks she is probably a good person to go into business with. She tried it with Alicia, but it obviously didn't work out because Alicia didn't want to 'marry' David and Priya, but she already has wedding contacts - and Leyla can bring in the fire to go because she has got a different type of energy."
Could it be a disaster waiting to happen? Or could they be good together?
"I think they will be good together, to be honest. They bring out the best in each other and they don't mince their words. It could be disastrous because of the way Leyla dives straight into things, but it is good and it is exciting and they will bring in different business."
How are things between Megan and Declan?
"It's very bitter. Megan still doesn't know the actual truth behind what Charity has done, but the fact that she has manipulated having a miscarriage to her advantage is what she can't stand, as well as the fact that she has lost her brother and her home. She has obviously got a tidy pay out from Declan for her share of the business, but what she really wanted was to be with him and be by his side.
"She adores her brother and nobody can be good enough for him. He is the most important man, apart from Robbie, in her life. She can't believe he has fallen for Charity's manipulation."
Will she get her revenge one day?
"For definite. When the truth comes out, God help Charity! I think Megan can give as good as she gets, but when something like this comes out and knowing what she has lost because of it."
Are you looking forward to the scenes where it all comes out?
"I suppose it has got to come out. It's just bubbling away at the moment, and the great thing is that the audience are in on it. It's been completely different because people can't wait to see Megan get revenge on Charity. There will be fireworks when it all comes out, and god knows what Declan will do! There is definitely a lot of drama to come out of that and I can't wait."
The Home Farm relaunches next week, and that is the first time Megan goes back there. What can you tell us about that?
"Well, unbeknown to Megan, Leyla has sorted it all out and thinks it is a really good idea to go up there. They are doing a massive relaunch and inviting all the local businesses, and obviously Megan and Leyla's is a local business. She has to swallow her pride a bit and turns up there to run their stall. Charity is ladying it up over the manor, and Megan can't believe what she is seeing and has a few too many glasses of champagne."
Olympian Victoria Pendleton arrives for the launch. What was it like filming with her?
"Incredible! It was just amazing to have someone who did so much for the UK in the athletics. She is very confident. She came into the make-up bus and sat with me and I spoke to her mum. It was lovely to meet her and she is very, very proud of Victoria, obviously. She is a big Emmerdale fan so she knew all about what was going on.
"Victoria is so lovely and easy to chat with. She knew her stuff and got on and did it. She was really good. It is quite difficult because she is playing herself, but is surrounded by actors who are playing different characters. It is a difficult position to be in, and obviously then with Jimmy coming up to her with his cycling pants on! But Victoria is great and you can see why she has become such a great athlete."
Obviously next week's episodes are celebrating the start of the Tour de France in Yorkshire, but Emmerdale is also taking part in a charity cycle ride. Are you going to be involved in that?
"I am doing a time trial with some of the other cast members. The last time I went on a bike, my bum hurt for about two weeks afterwards. But this should be alright. I am cycling alongside Jason (Merrells), so it will be nice to get together with him again because we don't see each other anymore."
You have been working with Roxy Shahidi, who plays Leyla. What has that been like?
"Roxy is fantastic - she is such great fun. She has got me doing yoga. She is the only person I know who can be chatting right up until they call action, and then just turn into Leyla. She is so funny and I am loving working with her."
I can't be doing with those two clashing ... does not work for me, chemistry is not there to make it plausible for me ...:nono:
Gaynor Faye has said that she has no intentions of leaving Emmerdale.
The Megan Macey actress, who joined the soap in 2012, made a name for herself as Judy Mallett in Coronation Street from 1995 to 1999.
However, in an interview withThe Daily Mail, Faye said that she has changed a lot since first appearing on Coronation Street.
"I have a family and am very happy and settled now. When I was in Corrie I wanted to leave to try other things. Now I feel very different."
She added that despite being settled on the soap, she still has great ambitions and often writes her own scripts.
"Of course I'm still ambitious," she said. "I want to be involved in good storylines and write some great stuff. But I'm not ambitious in that I want to jet off to America and act over there.
"This is a wonderful time for me at the moment, so I have no intention of leaving Emmerdale."
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has told Digital Spy that her character Megan Macey will stop at nothing to expose the deception of her arch-nemesis Charity.
Megan is left stunned this week when she finally learns that Charity (Emma Atkins) had a termination earlier in the year, rather than suffering a miscarriage as she has been claiming.
The truth comes out when Megan's son Robbie (Jamie Shelton) discovers that an abortion clinic is among the previously-stored addresses on Charity's sat-nav.
While this discovery should be enough to clear Megan's name after she was wrongly blamed for the loss of Charity's unborn baby, gullible Declan (Jason Merrells) still chooses to believe his deceitful wife rather than his sister.
Faye told Digital Spy: "When Declan doesn't believe Megan, she can't understand it because he's usually so astute and so clever. He seems to have gone gaga in Megan's eyes and lost the plot!
"Megan is so frustrated that Declan won't listen to anything that she says. She's got this prime bit of evidence that's been given to her by Robbie, but he still won't listen to her. Then she tries to get even more evidence, but Declan keeps listening to Charity.
"She can't believe that her brother is being sucked in, but Charity really is the best schemer and manipulator there is. Megan is out for revenge and wants to show Charity for the nasty bitch that she is, so she'll do anything to prove to Declan that's what the score is."

Viewers can expect an interesting few weeks ahead on screen as Charity and Megan both become determined to win their long-running war.
Pondering how the story might end, Faye laughed: "Like anything, you hope that justice is done. Justice hopefully will be done and revenge will be had. Fingers crossed the person with the best morals will win!
"It's just fantastic to play Megan at the moment because she's up against Charity and it's very Dynasty-like. It's great to play and it's also great to be classed as a soap bitch! I'm really enjoying it."
Emmerdale airs Robbie and Megan's discovery on Thursday (September 4) at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has promised that there will be huge repercussions after the Macey family's dark storyline ends in tragedy this week.
The actress's character Megan Macey will feature in dramatic scenes over the next two days as she tries to track down her brother Declan at a remote countryside location, where he is planning to kill his deceitful wife Charity.
Tonight's explosive double bill (September 25) features a showdown between Declan and Charity in a small boat in the middle of a lake.
As the troubled couple go head-to-head, Megan and her son Robbie Lawson arrive nearby to look for them, as do Debbie Dingle and Pete Barton.
Exact details of what happens are being kept under wraps, but it has been confirmed that a body will be pulled from the lake in Friday's episode (September 26) after the situation comes to a head.
Faye told Digital Spy: "It's all guns blazing. Once Megan and Robbie get there, they're about 12 hours later than they should be and all is not well in swampland! When we were filming, there were lots of midges, sticks and bracken and I have the bruises and cuts to prove it!
"Robbie has also called Debbie because he's worried about Megan's safety, so Debbie and Pete are there too. As far as Robbie is concerned, they don't know where Declan's head is at. He could still be double-crossing Megan as far as they know.
"So there's Debbie, Pete, Megan, Robbie, Charity and Declan all at a lake in the middle of nowhere. They all have reasons to finish one of the others off, and all have reasons to be finished off too. They've all done something!"
Speaking further about the game-changing episodes, she continued: "We knew about this storyline for a couple of months before we started filming it, but obviously we had a broader knowledge of certain things as the storyliners and the writers have both short-term and long-term conferences.
"These stories keep unfolding and it's just really exciting. What happens in these episodes will affect the village for a long time.
"What's great is that Emmerdale is consistently good throughout the year, but having a big autumn storyline like this is just a great chance to rejoice with what we've got - which is a great cast, crew, writers and every other department in the show.
"It's a chance for us all to show what we do well. We feel really appreciative that this year they've chosen the Maceys to be involved - along with the Dingles and a Barton!"
Emmerdale continues tonight (September 25) at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has promised that tonight's episode will be huge for her character Megan Macey (September 26) as she discovers that one of her loved ones is dead.
Thursday night's explosive double bill saw the fates of Megan's son Robbie and brother Declan left uncertain as they were both sent flying into a lake following a violent showdown.
The shock incident was the climax to a dark storyline, which saw Declan attempt to kill his deceitful wife Charity. Show bosses have confirmed that one body will be pulled from the lake in tonight's episode.
Faye appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain today, which featured a clip from tonight's episode showing Megan receiving a devastating phone call following recent events.
She confirmed: "That's the moment that she finds out that there's a body that's been found. It's going to be tragic for Megan and it's going to have ripples through the village - if it's her son, her brother, and how it happened. It's all tragic!
"We love a little bit of drama in the village. It's great to play. I don't want to play boring - it's fab. I've been punched, I've been slapped and now I've been an accessory to possibly a murder!"

Robbie and Megan in this week's episodes
Praising the secrecy which surrounded this week's episodes, Faye added: "We very much wanted to keep it a secret. A lot of spoilers come out and I think it slightly ruins it for people watching, so we really wanted to hold back who it was.
"It could have been any of us up until last night, when you saw two potential victims in the water."
Emmerdale will air the outcome of the storyline tonight at 7pm on ITV.
Emmerdale's Megan Macey will trick Leyla Harding into confessing her affair with businessman Jai Sharma.
Viewers know that Jai (Chris Bisson) and Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) have been having a fling behind Megan's back for several months.

Megan tells Leyla that Jai is dead

Leyla is unable to hide her grief
It's only after Leyla finally reveals the truth that Megan confirms that Jai is still alive, leaving her former friend relieved but disgusted by the deception.
With one showdown over, Megan's next move is to confront her unfaithful partner when Jai finally regains consciousness in hospital.
When Megan arrives to tackle Jai over his cheating, he gets the wrong end of the stick and mistakenly thinks that she knows the truth about how he held Charity Macey captive in a shipping container.
An Emmerdale insider teased: "When Jai confesses to far more than he needs to, how will Megan feel about how far he went with Charity?"
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has revealed that she wants her character Megan Macey to take revenge against her unfaithful partner Jai Sharma.
Megan forgave Jai (Chris Bisson) last year after discovering that he had been cheating on her with Leyla Harding.
Although the troubled couple's relationship appears to be back on track, Jai kisses Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) again next week after she lets slip that Megan is planning to spring a surprise wedding on him.
Speaking of the ongoing storyline, Faye commented: "I'm quite surprised at Megan for forgiving Jai so easily, but who knows what's to come? Some people do store these things up and then eventually fire the crossbow!
"I'm hoping there's going to be some sort of recall from it, because I was very surprised at how well Megan took the affair and how easily she let Jai off.
"I think it came at a vulnerable time for Megan, because she'd just lost her son and she'd also lost her brother Declan. She did say that Jai was all she had left, which was true.
"Jai was an old friend of the family, so it's better the devil you know. I think she will come to her senses at some point and realise what he has put her through."

Jai is tempted by Leyla
Megan is already engaged to Jai, but decides to fast-track their wedding by booking a last-minute registry office ceremony.
Although the businesswoman hopes it will be a total surprise, Leyla spoils the shock factor by pre-warning Jai and confessing her love for him - hoping that he will be wooed by her instead.
Faye added: "It's all done behind Megan's back and Jai doesn't take the bait. Leyla tells Jai that he's about to get married so she spoils Megan's surprise, but Jai surprisingly decides that he wants to be with Megan. I suppose for him it's a ready-made family and Megan is the last jigsaw piece."
Emmerdale fans will find out whether Jai decides to go ahead with the wedding on Thursday, January 15 at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.

Thats the way Jai, I so happy hes choosing a woman with brains and substance and not just a piece of skirt.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has teased huge trouble for Jai Sharma as her character Megan Macey plots revenge on him for betraying her once again.
Tonight's episode of the soap will see a heartbroken Megan vow revenge on Jay after Rachel Breckle tips her off about her findings on the 'teddycam'.
Megan forgave Jai for his affair with her business partner Leyla Harding last year, but Faye has promised that she will not be as accommodating this time.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain today (July 3), Faye said: "She was very vulnerable last year. I kept thinking, 'Why is she letting him get away with it?' But she had lost her son, her brother had gone AWOLl, she had lost her home and Jai was her only consistency.
"She's stuck by him through a lot of things that he's done. He has done some nasty things - locking people in containers and stuff - and she's stood by him.
"When she realises he's done this again to her, and with her business partner, he's not getting through this. She is going to get him back big time. I don't think he will get through it. She has been scorned twice and publicly."
Faye also admitted that she is pleased to be playing a feistier side to Megan again, following a tough time for her alter ego last year.
She said: "You would never mess with the old Megan Macey, but then she had a bit of a vulnerable spot and now she is back.
"I am pleased she has got her mojo back and she is back to the Machiavellian Megan that she once was. It was great to play all the stuff last year but it is nice to have that fire back in her bones."

Megan Sharma struggles to stay on track with her plans for revenge against her husband Jai next week.
Megan is shaken when Jai's latest scheme has the potential to destroy Rachel Breckle's custody chances for good, but can she manage to sneakily turn the tables on the ruthless businessman?
Here, Gaynor Faye - who plays Megan - assesses her character's chances of winning the war with Jai.
How is Megan feeling now that she knows Jai has been cheating on her with Leyla again?
"Megan's discovery has totally taken the rug from under her feet. She had absolutely no idea what was going on and she really was in love with Jai before this. Archie came as part of the package as well, so she thought she had a ready-made family.
"Afterwards Megan initially thought she should run for the hills, but she knew she would lose Archie, her home and her financial security. She always thinks things through before she does them, so at the moment she's keeping her cards very close to her chest even though it's breaking her heart.
"Now Megan is biding her time and pretending that she still trusts Jai because there's a bigger plan and a bigger picture."
Is Megan finding it difficult to hide her true emotions?
"She is, because she's disgusted by the fact that Jai has been cheating on her under her nose. Megan thinks that Jai and Leyla may have been sleeping together in her bed, or certainly in her office. It's all very seedy so Megan is repulsed by them both.
"Megan has to pretend that nothing is wrong, but she finds it disgusting that she actually has to sleep in the same bed as Jai. Despite that, she'll do anything to get him back. The fact that she knows she's got the big trump card to play is what's keeping her going."
Is it easy for Megan to get along with Rachel?
"I think that Megan has always had a soft spot for Rachel. Megan was a mother to Robbie and obviously Rachel is Archie's mum, so there's a bond there. You always saw that, up until the point where Megan realised that she had to play ball with Jai if she wanted to stay with him and Archie. There was a bit of animosity between her and Rachel after that, but never to the extent that Jai took it.
"Megan wouldn't be going out for a drink with Rachel anytime soon, but she definitely has empathy for her. They have a bond due to the circumstances they're in but that's probably as far as it goes."
Jai comes up with another plan against Rachel next week, which shocks both her and Megan... Has he started to keep Megan in the dark deliberately?
"I don't think Jai knows what's going on between Megan and Rachel yet, but he is certainly doing things and not telling Megan. He wants to keep things very close to his chest until they've actually happened. He confesses things to Megan, but only after the event so that she can't do anything about it!
"We're not playing it so that Jai knows Megan is on Rachel's side, but I think Jai believes that nothing can go wrong if he's the one in control of everything.
"That's the worst thing for Megan now, because she has been trying to help Rachel by filling her in on little things that Jai is planning. So far it's worked and Jai has been really flummoxed by the fact that Rachel is suddenly one step ahead of him.
"But in next week's episodes, the rug is pulled from under both their feet because Jai does something that is horrific. It could crucify Rachel and take Archie away from her."
How does Megan react to Jai's latest bad behaviour?
"Well, Jai lets something slip to Megan about his past and Megan's ears prick up when she hears about this! She knows she can play Jai at his own game, so she plants something on him which could put him in prison for a long time. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan!"
Megan is dead set on getting even with Jai, but how is she feeling about Leyla?
"Women often blame 'the other woman' more than the man when there's an affair, which is always very strange. In this situation, Jai is Megan's main focus. Leyla is just a bit of a bother. Megan can't believe that Leyla has betrayed her again, but she's more unbelieving about the fact that Jai has done it to her again after how loyal she's been to him.
"Although Leyla is her business partner, she's a bit of a flaky character in Megan's eyes. She never 100% trusted her, but she never thought that Jai would go there again. I also think that Megan never really realised the extent of the affair. She didn't really realise that there were feelings involved."
Have you enjoyed being part of all the twists and turns?
"I've absolutely loved it. Before this, you saw a much weaker Megan - but rightly so. She lost Robbie, she lost Declan and she lost Home Farm, so she lost her mojo and she became somebody who could be walked over. There's no way that the Megan who first came into the show would have ever put up with Jai's first affair! At first I was surprised that Megan took him back, but I could see why because she was very vulnerable.
"Now Megan is much stronger. It's a year on since losing Robbie and she has got her mojo back. It's much more favourable to play - I'm not very good at playing weak and mild, to be honest! I've never really played that type of character before, but I understood it. It's great now to get the fire back with Megan."
Will Jai wish he'd never crossed Megan as this story continues?
"Well, Jai is a damaged character at the moment. Whatever anyone throws at him doesn't seem to affect him. I would hope that he'd be affected, but he's become very dark and he's locking people up left, right and centre. God knows what will happen to Megan as he's very vindictive and malicious!
"It would be great if Jai is knocked by what Megan does, but who knows?"
Megan Sharma's plans for revenge come to a head in Emmerdale next week as she secretly plants drugs on her cheating husband Jai.
The businesswoman's cunning scheme leads to the police calling on Jai, but there's another big twist to the tale when she realises that she might be pregnant with the love rat's child. What does this mean for the couple's future?
Here, Gaynor Faye - who plays Megan - shares some teasers on what to expect as her plans for payback are disrupted in more ways than one.
A few weeks have passed since Megan discovered Jai's affair with Leyla. How is she feeling now?
"Megan's idea of how to deal with Jai is fully-formed in her head and she's still hell-bent on getting revenge against him. He has totally humiliated her with his affair and she's not standing for it! Megan says that nobody messes with her and gets away with it, so she's definitely going to stick by that."
How are things with Rachel?
"Megan teamed up with Rachel because she knew that two people against one would be better odds. The only problem now is that Jai has started to withhold information from Megan, so it's harder for her to work with Rachel and let her know what's going on. That means that she has to move fast and get Jai bang to rights as soon as possible!
"Megan actually doesn't include Rachel in her final decisions because she doesn't want to implicate anyone other than Jai. The fewer people who know the plan, the better. Megan's plan could send Jai to prison and she knows that anyone else who is implicated could end up in the firing line too."
Megan's plan is quite a drastic one. Is she scared about what she's taking on?
"I think it's another world to her. She's never been around dealers or drugs before, so she's very nervous about it and I don't think she's thought it through properly.
"Sometimes when you're out of your comfort zone, you can mess up - that could definitely happen here because Jai knows more about this world than Megan does. We know that he's been involved in drugs before."
Megan has placed an order of drugs, which she intends to plant on Jai. Does she really want to see him behind bars?
"I think it's all gone too far, really! Jai has certainly gone too far with what he's done and Megan has realised that he will do anything to get Archie. She's also heard him on tape saying that he doesn't really like her and he's going to leave her as soon as he gets custody of his son.
"Megan doesn't want to be with Jai anymore, but she does hope to stay in the village so she wants him out of the picture. She'd also like to end up running Jai's business, so putting him in prison would be the best option!"
But then Megan realises she might be pregnant...
"Yeah, it's a real curveball that gets thrown into the situation! Megan already knows what Jai will do to keep a baby, so this is a very nerve-wracking moment for her. She also would like nothing more than to have a baby herself, considering that she's lost a son and she has no family left.
"For Megan it's real mixed feelings when she gets the pregnancy test. It's going to be tragic either way. Even if she is pregnant and has the baby, she'll always be beholden to Jai because she knows the extent he'll go to in order to get custody. On the other hand, if Megan isn't pregnant, she doesn't have any cards to play if it all comes crumbling down."
Would Megan use the possibility of a baby to her advantage in her war with Jai?
"I think that would definitely be a card up her sleeve. I don't think she would intentionally want to use a child's life to help herself, but if needs must, she would probably sink that low.
"Jai does cotton on to Megan's scheming by accident. The dealer gets in touch with Jai, which Megan didn't realise could happen. The police come calling for Jai before he can do anything, but if Megan gets implicated in the drugs situation herself, that could be the one thing she relies on to stay out of prison..."
Megan hasn't confronted Leyla yet, but we've heard that changes next week...
"Yes, the whole scenario with Rachel, Archie, Leyla and 'teddygate' comes to a head! Megan hasn't tackled Leyla yet because it's all been directed at Jai. However, Leyla has been disloyal to her too, so she gets it both barrels from Megan.
"Megan has some leverage over Jai at this point, so she makes sure that he publicly dumps Leyla. Megan enjoys every minute of it, even up to the point where it's quite uncomfortable to see. I don't think Megan ever realised the true emotion that Leyla felt towards Jai - she just thought their relationship was a fling. It's quite moving but obviously Megan's too hurt in herself to feel sorry for Leyla.
"This results in two women who are both scorned having a heated debate, which ends in not-very-nice circumstances..."
Emmerdale interview: Megan and Leyla gang up on Jai
What do you make of Jai’s behaviour? It’s been deplorable! He’s turned into a very desperate father, but in the worst possible way. He’s so fearful of Archie being taken away from him again that he has become manipulative, divisive and the gloves are off. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do to stop Archie being taken again and it plays out in the most awful way. It goes beyond anyone’s perception of what’s normal behaviour when you are trying to defend your territory.
How about the way he’s treated by Megan and Leyla? He’s got two things going on in his life, an unhappy marriage and a desperation to keep hold of his son. In this unhappy marriage he’s turned to Leyla who he’s always had a thing with. Leyla’s been a fool to be pulled along with it, Jai wants his cake and he wants to be able to eat it. He does love Leyla, we will see that play out. It will be heartbreaking for both of them. As for him and Megan, well they are enemies now. She’s tried to get him sent to prison so there’s no love lost there. When she reveals she’s pregnant he says that he will look after them and they will have to come to an arrangement. Megan decides a financial settlement isn’t good enough for her, she wants revenge, she wants to see pain and suffering. She wants to see Leyla and Jai hurt. She makes him dump Leyla in front of her and that’s what Jai does in order to get Megan to the court so that he can gain custody of Archie.
How does he feel about Megan being pregnant? He’s very paternal and if he didn’t have that side to him then he would have just written Megan off. There’s still doubt that she’s even pregnant, even though she shows him the pregnancy test. Eventually he accepts that she probably is but knowing the depths these characters have sunk to in order to outdo each other, a faked pregnancy wouldn’t be out of the question.
Why is Megan so important in his custody case? It’s vital that he can prove that he’s got a stable and loving environment for Archie. It’s harder for a father to win custody of a child so having a united front with Megan is integral. That’s the reason he’s stayed with her, he would have binned her off a long time ago if that wasn’t the case.
How does he feel when she doesn’t turn up at court? He’s anxious. Jai knows his story is going to stack up better than Rachel’s, he’s got a better lawyer, he doesn’t have a charge of drug dealing hanging over his head and he does have a wife as far as the court is concerned. He tries to play it to his own advantage so he tells the court that Megan’s pregnant. He says she’s got morning sickness which is why she’s running late but that Archie is going to have a sibling, which reinforces his case about how he can provide stability.
So what happens next?Well, when she does turn up, she turns up with his mistress! They burst through the doors as Jai’s giving his evidence. I don’t want to say too much but for Jai to see Leyla by Megan’s side is very worrying indeed.
Rishi finds out what Jai has been up to and is furious, how does Jai react to that? They haven’t seen eye to eye, it’s been a very stretched relationship. Jai doesn’t have any friends left, he only has his the sympathy of his family who feel obliged to look after him.
Megan starts having pains, how would Jai feel if she lost the baby? Jai would be devastated by a miscarriage, absolutely.
Can you ever see a time where he might redeem himself? It’s hard to see how he will change if he doesn’t get what he wants. As long as Archie is away he won’t stop taking that out on other people. Underneath he’s a nice character, he’s just been damaged by this story. His weak spot has been exposed. Archie has driven the whole story from when he was conceived. Can he become a nice person again, yes he probably can, but it doesn’t look like it’s something that would be easy to do.

Emmerdale interview: Megan and Leyla gang up on Jai
Haha! Good on Megan, you go, girl!
I wrote about her yesterday afternoon in a chat to mariba in the Emmerdale Spoilers 24th-28th August thread but about this week (10th-14th) and it all looks like it's going to happen as I'd like.

Rachel leaves the village on Wednesday 26th, I wish Jai would go soon too! Megan has been one of my favourite characters for ages, she's been the only one that I couldn't say a bad word about, but this week she's been drug dealing and shown as very naive in the way she's trying to beat Jai at his own game, which he's been playing and refining for a long time. Good luck to Megan for getting rid of Jai sometime. I can't understand Leyla, she knows Jai is unfaithful to Megan and others before and he's a rat but she still sees herself with him in a nice house and a cosy future, love is blind they say! Maybe Megan manages to make Jai's factory go bust somehow, if so this will really stir things up.
>
I had a real laugh last night when I watched the Friday Emmerdale episode. How Leyla got 'dumped' by Jai in front of Megan just for appease Megan and get his way and get her to show up at court. He's a desperate man for sure when his kids are involved. I hope Leyla doesn't go back to him one day when he pleads that he only said what he said last night to her because it was just to get Megan to court. I think Jai's gone way too far this time. Just find a better man, Leyla, quick!
I hope Megan does get Jai out of the factory partnership and that Rachel gets to keep Archie when she leaves Emmerdale.
I like Leyla, and don't like the way she's treated here like the guilty party. She's not married, Jai is. It's all his fault. Stupid man. They could have easily sorted this by killing him off, wouldn't miss him.

Leyla as Megan's friend and business partner twice went after Jai knowing he was married to Megan so yes she is at fault too but more Jai

It’s a welcome relief to Megan who is keen to get away before her pregnancy becomes obvious and Jai finds out.
Megan’s business partner, Leyla, is to discover she wants the business closed by the end of the week not realising she plans to leave the village as soon as possible.

Emmerdale's Megan Macey decides that she may have to flee from the village next week as her pregnancy secret is finally uncovered.
Megan (Gaynor Faye) is currently expecting Jai Sharma's baby, but she has kept him totally in the dark since lying that she lost his unborn child.
Viewers will see Megan's luck finally start to run out next week after she heads to the hospital for a baby scan.
Caught up in the emotion of the situation, Megan later visits the village's graveyard to pay her respects to her late son Robbie Lawson.
Jai's brother Nikhil is also nearby as he is visiting Gennie's grave, leading to drama when Megan hurries away and drops the baby scan.
When eagle-eyed Nikhil spots it, he's quick to warn Megan that he won't be keeping her secret as he feels that Jai and the rest of the Sharma family have a right to know about the baby.

Emmerdale's Megan Macey will face a nightmare labour next week when her waters break out in the woods.
The heavily-pregnant businesswoman is having a heart-to-heart with Sam Dingle in a remote location when things start to go scarily wrong.
Sam is driving Megan to her latest baby scan when she asks him to stop the car for a moment, wanting to let him down gently after noticing that his feelings for her are starting to go beyond friendship.
Unfortunately, Megan's attempts to put off Sam go badly wrong - leaving her all alone when she needs help the most.
Gaynor Faye, who plays Megan, revealed: "She's had a little word from Zak and she's realised that Sam has fallen for her a little bit. Sam even wants to be there in the birthing room with her, which is kind of ringing alarm bells for Megan. She thinks she needs to let him down gently.
"Sam is driving Megan to the hospital for her latest check-up and that's when Megan plucks up the courage to start this conversation with him before they get there.
"She tells him to stop the car and she speaks to him about it, but Sam takes it the wrong way because it doesn't quite come out right from Megan. I think he's worried that he's just going to be dropped after being there for her so much!
"Sam ends up saying, 'You drive yourself to the hospital' and he stomps off into the woods. Megan's about to drive off when she decides to finish the conversation, so she goes off into the woods and gets lost while 8 and a half months pregnant!"
When Megan suddenly finds herself bowled over in pain, she's relieved when Sam reappears.

Megan goes into labour in the woods
However, as neither of them have their phones with them, Sam rushes off to get help - straight into the path of a bullet fired by Joanie Wright, who's out poaching!
Faye continued: "There's nobody coming to help Megan so she's left on her own and is absolutely petrified. It goes from day to night and the contractions are getting worse. But like a knight in shining armour, Jai appears. He's seen the car on the side of the road and gone into the woods to rescue Megan.
"It's a real turnaround of events, especially as their relationship has been so bitter. It definitely gives him some brownie points, put it that way!"
While viewers will have to tune in to find out exactly what happens, Megan does later make it to the hospital. But with Sam still harbouring feelings for her, the stress and confusion of recent events takes its toll and Megan shares a kiss with him when he makes a move on her.

Sam and Megan kiss
Faye explained: "Megan's feelings for Sam are purely friendship, but after everything that she's been through, she has a moment of weakness where Sam's affection and love for Megan just tips her over.
"Megan kisses him and quickly pulls away, but she doesn't make a big deal of it because she doesn't want to hurt Sam's feelings. But she knows what she's done is wrong and he'll read it the wrong way.
"She's in a bad headspace. When your head's messed up, you do all kind of strange things and people get hurt in the process."

I knew this was going to be coming but i don't mind, Megan's a good character played by a good actress so more is good!
They may be having a child together, but don't expect an emotional reunion for Emmerdale's Megan Macey and Jai Sharma anytime soon.
Gaynor Faye, who plays Megan, doesn't reckon her character will ever give Jai another chance in the romance department - despite him appearing to have changed his ways after a recent stint in rehab.
Next week's Emmerdale episodes see Jai come to Megan's rescue, when she finds herself alone and vulnerable after going into labour out in the woods.
Don't worry, though - Megan's no fool and she certainly hasn't forgotten all those times that Jai betrayed her by getting steamy with her friend Leyla Harding.

Megan reels from what she's done

"I wouldn't have thought they'd get back together," Faye explained. "Jai was unfaithful to her twice! The first time, it was quite strange that Megan took him back, because she's such a strong-minded woman.
"When she found out he'd done it again, I think that was definitely the end. Obviously they're always going to have a relationship because of their child, and I don't think they're going to go down the line of it being acrimonious.
"They'll hopefully just focus on the child. Megan wants to keep the baby for herself, but she knows that she has to enlist the help of others because she can't do it on her own. But Megan and Jai won't be together - I wouldn't have thought so anyway!"

In fact, Megan will become much less of a doormat now that she has her little baby to think about.
Faye explained: "She's going to pick herself up, dust herself off and get the fire back in her! I think she has got something to prove and nothing is going to stop her.
"It's the phoenix rising and Megan gets her mojo back. She basically throws everything into motherhood. She knows she wasn't there for her son Robbie, so now she's going to do everything she can possibly do for her baby and nobody's going to stop her.
"It empowers her and she becomes this very ferocious mother. The old Megan comes back. She's been gone for a long time, through all the recent trauma in Megan's life. Now she's back on track, but in a different way. She's acting like that for someone else - it's not just for her anymore."
Emmerdale airs Megan's dramatic labour scenes on Thursday, March 3 at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has joked that she wants her latest on-screen labour scenes to be her last.
All eyes will be on the actress's character Megan Macey next week as she's shocked to realise that her baby is coming early - while she's out in the woods and away from any help.
The 44-year-old actress has two children with her long-term partner Mark Pickering and has also had her fair share of on-screen births over the years.
Laughing over this latest one, Faye commented: "I have to say, I never thought that I'd be doing any more labour scenes! I gave birth to twins in Coronation Street and I've given birth in a few other shows that I've done too. I've also given birth on stage twice.
"You kind of get to an age where you think, 'I'll never have to have another baby on screen again!' But then Megan got pregnant and ends up going into labour in the woods!"
Megan is with her friend Sam Dingle in the woods, but she ends up all alone when he rushes off to get help and gets shot in a poaching accident. Fortunately her ex-husband Jai Sharma eventually comes to her rescue, getting her to the hospital where the drama continues.
Faye continued: "Ian Bevitt directed the episodes and he was brilliant. He was so good to me and the crew were fantastic too. When you're giving birth on screen, you have limited clothes on apart from your gown and you have to have your legs out and spread. That's quite a strange thing to be doing with a crew that you've known for 4 years!
"It was hard, because the labour itself is hard and not straightforward. But Ian was brilliant with me and the cast that I was working with were fantastic too. This is when you know that you're blessed because you're working on a great show with a great team.
"I didn't wake up in the morning thinking that it'd be great to go to work and give birth, but I did think that it was great drama."
But asked whether she's expecting this to be her last ever on-screen labour, Faye joked: "Oh, I hope so! Although I think I'm going to get it written into my contract next time that I'm never giving birth again on screen!"
Emmerdale airs the labour scenes on Thursday, March 3 at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.

Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has thanked fans after receiving messages on Twitter about her "fantastic" performance on tonight's episode (March 3).
In dramatic scenes, Faye's character Megan went into labour in the woods, before Jai rescued her and brought her to the hospital. The couple were later shocked to learn that their newborn daughter could have brain damage.
Thanking viewers for their support, the actress wrote: "Blimey thank you so much for your awesome tweets - I've read & am truly moved by them all. Feel so blessed to work with such a fab cast & crew."

Megan Macey could face some awkward questions over her parenting on Emmerdale next week as her baby daughter Eliza goes missing in shock scenes.
It's been a quiet few months for Megan (Gaynor Faye) in the village, but she's about to be thrown back into the spotlight with this worrying new crisis for her character.
Emmerdale bosses are keeping tight-lipped about the exact details for now, but we know that Megan makes a big mistake regarding Eliza while distracted, causing her to go missing in mysterious circumstances.

Deeply worried and anxious over what could have happened to the youngster, Megan doesn't waste much time before calling the police to help find her missing child.
These tense new pictures also show Frank Clayton jumping in to help Megan track her daughter down again, while Eliza's dad Jai Sharma seems equally horrified by the news of what's happened.
But who's actually taken Eliza and could there be repercussions for Megan over her actions? Will it lead to fresh hostilities between her and Jai?

Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has hinted that there could be a huge revenge storyline in store when Megan Macey finds out that her partner Frank Clayton is a cheat.
Frank betrayed Megan by sleeping with Charity Dingle in the early stages of their relationship – and with the ITV soap revisiting the scandalous secret soon, it's surely only a matter of time before the truth is exposed.
Next week's episodes see Tracy Shankley discover her dad's big mistake when she overhears him talking with Charity.
Stung to realise that her father hasn't really changed his ways, Tracy seriously considers turning against him by telling Megan everything.

Speaking about the possible fireworks ahead, Gaynor revealed: "To be honest, I think Megan would be shocked that Frank has cheated on her, because they've only just got together.
"Megan is so smitten with Frank and he's chased her for long enough. So why, when you've just got what you've chased, would you go somewhere else?
"The fact that it was with Charity makes it the worst possible scenario for Megan. She's her nemesis and they're so alike, so she would be the worst person for Frank to do it with.
"If she did find out the truth, Megan's fury would be a slow-burn. Initially she would erupt, but she's been there twice before with Jai in the past. Megan is not an innocent person herself and she's quite good at getting people back.
"She got her own back on Declan quite a few times and she's very bright. So I think Megan would take time to think about it and probably get her revenge slowly."
Gaynor also suggested that Megan would be genuinely heartbroken to discover Frank's betrayal, having taken so long to fully accept him into her family life.
She said: "Megan has definitely been swept up by Frank's charm. She doesn't really tend to have flings. Once she's in a relationship, she's in it for the long haul. That's why it's been difficult to get them together. She spent so much time wondering if he's right for her.
"Now Megan has got Eliza, she wants to make sure Frank is right for her as well. She wouldn't introduce someone into her daughter's life if she didn't think he was right for her. So Megan definitely sees a future with Frank."

Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) has had his fair share of difficult relationships in Emmerdale, but just as things finally look up for him and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), could a certain Megan Macey (Gaynor Faye) return to ruin it all?
Megan is the mother of Eliza, Jai?s daughter. She was born in 2016 and shortly after the birth, Jai and Megan were told that because Eliza was starved of oxygen during the labour, she might have cerebral palsy.
In 2019, after Megan?s new partner, Frank, died in the sweet factory fire, Megan departed the Dales with Eliza in tow, telling Jai that she?d be going to a school where the staff helped children with cerebral palsy, and that he could visit whenever he wanted.
Jai?s history with Megan is revisited soon after Laurel gets down on one knee and proposes. It?s a happy time for the couple but afterwards, Jai realises he needs to retrieve his divorce certificate, as Chris Bisson explained:
?So, Laurel mentions about the divorce certificate, Jai needs to go find the divorce certificate from Megan?, he said.
?Yes, yes, he?s already got one from Charity previous that he had to find to get married to Megan. So, he finds his second divorce certificate.?
While the focus is on the engagement first of all, searching through boxes of Rishi?s (Bhasker Patel) paperwork leads to Jai finding some life-changing information.
?Because Tom King has moved into Holgate with Rishi, Rishi has moved loads of stuff around and piled boxes and all sorts of stuff into one room and has seemingly mixed-up Jai?s old paperwork with his old paperwork and all the stuff?s just in the one place?, Chris added.
?And Jai goes to find this divorce certificate and knocks over a box and finds some old photographs. And also contained within that box is a long, very long-standing secret. One that?s life changing for Jai.?
As this new storyline begins for Jai, if his wedding plans continue to develop, could Megan return to try and cause some trouble?
