Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has confirmed that his character Brax is to leave on-off girlfriend Charlie stunned by growing close to another woman in a forthcoming storyline. :(

Brax hits rock bottom when his youngest brother Casey (Lincoln Younes) is sent to jail for arson in scenes which air in Australia later this month. However, in a twist, Brax soon finds himself receiving comfort from Casey's lawyer Hayley, played by Alyssa McClelland.

Peacocke told TV Week: "Hayley is quite cunning, because she knows he's in a bad place. She sees the opportunity to go in when he's at his low point."

Charlie (Esther Anderson) receives a shock when she witnesses the pair kissing as she had been considering whether to reunite with Brax.

"She thinks Brax has moved on and there's nothing to stop him from moving on," Peacocke confirmed.

The actor also promised that there will be an air of intrigue surrounding Hayley and her intentions in the upcoming episodes.

Peacocke said: "There are some encounters for the audience to look forward to, and there's a bit of a mystery behind Hayley and why she's in the Bay."

Home and Away airs these scenes next week in Australia and in the winter on Channel 5 in the UK.

I like Brax and Charlie together. She has been good for him.
He keeps trying to change his ways, but gets pulled back in by the actions of his family.

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has defended the soap's darker moments, insisting that the show's team should continue to "push boundaries" when it comes to storylines.

Home and Away's PG rating allows the programme to explore grittier topics like drugs, domestic violence and gangs - but its hard-hitting moments have occasionally sparked complaints from Australian viewers.

However, Peacocke - who plays Summer Bay bad boy Brax - told The West Australian: "If Home and Away shows drug use it also shows what happens if you take drugs - it shows the consequences. You know, if you can educate the public then you have contributed to society a little bit, as long as it's not gratuitous, and you can learn something from it.

"I think you have got to be reasonable and consider the 7pm timeslot and the audience that will be watching at the time. Some nights there are adult themes, but we aren't living in a nanny state just yet and as long as parents are responsible, it's okay to push boundaries."

Peacocke also admitted that he caught up with previous Home and Away episodes when he first landed the role of Brax and was surprised by the soap's quality.

"I didn't realise how good the show had become," he explained. "When something is classified as a soap it has a certain stigma attached to it, but [Home and Away] is more of a drama, I think."

Brax and his brothers Heath (Dan Ewing) and Casey (Lincoln Younes) have been on screen in Home and Away since the beginning of the year.

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has revealed that fans will soon see a darker side to his character Brax.

Brax faces terrible turmoil in episodes soon to air in Australia, as he discovers that his lover Charlie is critically injured after being shot.

While Charlie is receiving emergency treatment at the hospital, an inconsolable Brax is determined to get revenge when he learns that Jake Pirovic (Fletcher Humphrys) was the culprit.

Peacocke told TV Week: "He's a bloke who doesn't tolerate anything bad happening to the people he loves - especially Charlie. He wants to kill this bloke."

He continued: "This is the Brax people have only heard about till now. He came to Summer Bay with a reputation, and the audience is about to see why he has that reputation. He's had to fight his whole life, and that side really comes out now as this is the worst thing that could happen to him."

Home and Away bosses and cast members are still keeping tight-lipped over whether Charlie will live or die. However, reports have suggested that Esther Anderson - who plays the character - has quit the soap.

Rebecca Breeds, who plays Charlie's daughter Ruby, commented: "Charlie's been shot, so it's serious, but there is hope and doctors are amazing these days. Miracles do happen and nothing is written in stone. There is definitely a chance Charlie could make a full recovery."

Home and Away airs these scenes next week on Network Seven in Australia and in February on Channel 5 in the UK.

Home and Away bad boy Brax will try to commit arson as his life spirals out of control in an upcoming episode.

Brax has recently been left devastated on screen in Australia after his girlfriend Charlie (Esther Anderson) was shot, leaving her life hanging in the balance.

However, TV Week reports that Brax's troubles are only just beginning as menacing Geoffrey King soon starts threatening to take Angelo's from him.

Deciding that he would rather be rid of the problem once and for all, unstable Brax pays a visit to the restaurant with the aim of torching the place.

Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax, told the magazine: "Brax isn't firing on all cylinders and he's under the pump, and he's turned to the bottle a little bit to help him get through.

"It creates more of a problem, and that becomes the next problem he has to deal with."

As Brax comes up with his desperate plan, fans will be left to wonder whether he will actually go through with it.

Home and Away airs these scenes next week on Network Seven in Australia and next month on Channel 5 in the UK.

Home and Away bad boy Brax will begin taking part in cage fights in a forthcoming storyline, it has been revealed.

The businessman embarks on the surprising new path as he wants some quick cash to pay back Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou) after she gave money to Geoffrey King on his behalf.

Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax, told TV Week: "He's angry that Leah stepped in for him. He's someone who likes to get everything done himself. He's pretty old school - he wouldn't like a girl and a friend coming to his rescue."

Brax's latest story also comes as he continues to struggle with the death of his lover Charlie (Esther Anderson).

Peacocke continued: "[Brax has] had this horrible loss and is really lost at sea at the moment. All his focus before was on Charlie, getting out of the River Boys and making a new life. Now that's gone and he's feeling a lot of pain.

"Like a lot of blokes, the way they deal with that isn't to hurt themselves, but to put themselves in harm's way. If something was to happen to him, he wouldn't care. It would almost solve his problems."

Peacocke added that he enjoyed the opportunity to film such intense scenes.

"It was unreal. I've been in a few punch-ups, but I wouldn't call myself a fighter," he said. "We had about 12 hours of fight rehearsal with the stunt coordinator.

"I wanted to go hell for leather with the slams and being thrown into the fence. I ended up with lots of cuts and grazes, but I loved it. It was like a good, hard game of footy."

Home and Away airs these scenes next week on Network Seven in Australia and mid-March on Channel 5 in the UK.

Isn't this the same thing Ric did a few years ago? I'd have preferred Brax to return to drug smuggling over cage fighting.

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has admitted that he expected to be axed by the soap's producers during his early days of filming.

The actor has been part of the long-running drama for over a year, and his bad boy character Brax has become one of the show's most popular faces.

However, Peacocke told Adelaide Now that it took time before he felt confident in the role.

Peacocke explained: "I was so nervous in the first four or five weeks - I was certain I was going to get booted off the show.

"I didn't feel great about what I was doing. It was like running on to the field half way through a game of footy when everyone else has warmed up. As my confidence has grown, I've enjoyed it more."

The 30-year-old also reiterated his desire to pursue US film work at some point in the future.

"That is where I want to end up," he confirmed. "I've heard from different casting agents that there is something about Australian blokes that resonates in America. There's a manliness to what we've got."

Brax is currently featuring in major storylines on Home and Away in the aftermath of his lover Charlie's shooting.

Home and Away aired heartbreaking scenes on Channel 5 tonight (February 14) as Charlie Buckton passed away in hospital - leaving her lover Brax devastated.

In the aftermath of the much-loved character's tragic shooting, Brax and the rest of Charlie's loved ones were forced to accept that her ventilator should be turned off as there was nothing more that the doctors could do.

In real life, Esther Anderson decided to bow out from her role as Charlie last year in a bid to pursue new projects, which prompted show bosses to create her explosive exit plot.

Digital Spy recently caught up with Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax, to hear his thoughts on the emotional storyline and his alter ego's future.

How did you first hear that Esther Anderson would be leaving Home and Away?
"Esther told me that she was coming to the end of her contract and that they were writing Charlie out in a way that was pretty final. Because she'd had such an awesome time playing Charlie and had so many different and exciting storylines, she thought it was a good time to leave. Though she was sad!"

How did you feel about the writers killing off Charlie?
"I was initially pretty sad, because I really enjoyed working with Esther and our scenes were always the best fun to film. But I also thought that it was a really gutsy decision from her. She's so loved by everyone on the show and in production that I'm sure if she'd wanted to, they would have found a way to write her out in a less final way.

"But Esther thought she'd given the show and the fans her best and was ready for new challenges without the comfort of a fallback plan. I really respect that and I think that attitude along with her talent will ensure fans will be seeing her work for a long time to come."

Was it emotional filming the tragic hospital scenes at Charlie's bedside?
"It was pretty full-on stuff, but it all just happened for me in terms of the emotional stuff, and thankfully the cameras were rolling. I don't find it hard to dig up that kind of thing, and I found that I was able to just get sucked up into what was happening around me.

"But as draining as it was shooting all those scenes, we still found time to joke around. Esther and the crew are funny people no matter how deep the stories get!"

You also had to film scenes showing Brax vengeful and furious with Jake. Was it challenging to portray such a wide range of emotions?
"Not really, as I love all the aggressive stuff, and I found it easy to get caught up in the emotional scenes. All those medical machines, the gun, the set, make it pretty easy to make the imaginative leap into those circumstances. It was the only time I've been truly exhausted at the end of a week's shooting, but I reckon it turned out okay. I hope it did, anyway!"

What was it like saying goodbye to Esther after you had filmed your final scenes together?
"I was pretty sad, but as soon as they called cut on the last scene, which was literally the shot where you see Charlie's heart rate flat-lining, there were cakes and flowers and the whole of the production office was down to celebrate and give Esther big clap. It was like the full time whistle at a game of footy - if it's been a good game, everybody's happy and ready for a beer."

Are you planning to stay in touch with Esther?
"Hopefully I'll bump into her somewhere around the traps. I'll be interested to follow her career post Home and Away. With her mix of talent, humility and craziness, I know she'll be a success. Everyone - from cast to crew to production - loved working with her. It's one thing to have talent, but having people loving to work with you is what keeps you employed."

Charlie's fate was kept under wraps until the episodes were first broadcast. Was it difficult to keep quiet over such a huge storyline twist?
"It was pretty difficult, because you can't give storylines away, but you can't lie to people either. I just chose to say very little!"

How long can you see this affecting Brax for?
"A long time! Charlie is still motivating Brax in the stuff we're shooting now."

Are you hoping that Brax stays single for a while out of respect for Charlie?
"Yes, but he's a man in dire straits. And no-one knows what they're going to do when he really hits rock bottom."

Fans are already speculating over a possible Brax and Leah romance. Do you think there's any chance of that, or is the speculation wide off the mark?
"I can't say. All I can say is he really misses Charlie!"

We see Ruby blame Brax for Charlie's death. How does Brax feel about that?
"He understands Ruby's feelings towards him and he does feel guilty about what's happened. He's absolutely gutted. And for that reason, he'll always feel obligated to look out for Ruby, whether she likes him or not."

Brax left the River Boys for Charlie. Can you see him slipping back into his old ways without her around?
"Charlie is still a big part of his motivation. He knows she made a big impact on his life and he wants to honour that as much as he can."

Are you sticking around in Home and Away for the foreseeable future?
"Hopefully! There's still a lot to explore with Brax and some of the stuff coming up has been awesome to shoot. I can genuinely say that one day of filming we did for an upcoming storyline was the best day of my life. Stay tuned."

Home And Away's Steve Peacocke enjoyed showing off his fighting skills on screen, he has revealed.

The 30-year-old had to punch and duck, as his bad boy alter-ego River Boy Darryl 'Brax' Braxton starts taking part in cage fights, following the death of his lover Charlie Buckton (Esther Anderson) in the Australian soap.

"It was unreal. I've been in a few punch-ups, but I wouldn't call myself a fighter," he told Australia's TV Week.

"We had about 12 hours of fight rehearsal with the stunt coordinator. I wanted to go hell for leather with the slams and being thrown into the fence. I ended up with lots of cuts and grazes, but I loved it. It was like a good, hard game of footy."

Steve, who joined Home And Away in 2011, admitted he thought he would face the chop during his early days on the show.

"I was so nervous in the first four or five weeks - I was certain I was going to get booted off the show," he told Adelaide Now.

"I didn't feel great about what I was doing. As my confidence has grown, I've enjoyed it more."

The actor said his dream is to work in the States, following in the footsteps of fellow stars Ryan Kwanten and Chris Hemsworth.

"That is where I want to end up. I've heard from different casting agents that there is something about Australian blokes that resonates in America," he added.

Home and Away bad boy Brax will be rushed to hospital when one of his cage fights goes wrong.

Brax puts himself in danger by taking part in another tough battle even though he isn't fit to fight.

The story begins when the businessman is knocked unconscious during a burglary at Angelo's. Soon afterwards, he decides to go ahead with an upcoming match regardless of the setback.

Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax, told TV Week: "Leah has another go at talking him out of it, but there's no chance - he knows he wants to do it. He knows it's coming from a kind place, but it's none of her business.

"I think he knows the stakes are definitely higher and he's risking his own wellbeing, but it's a gamble he's prepared to take. Considering the pain he's in anyway, he doesn't think it could get any worse."

Peacocke added: "He wins the fight, but he's taken so many blows to the head - and that, coupled with the mugging, tips him over the edge and he passes out and has a fit."

Home and Away airs these scenes next week on Network Seven in Australia and next month on Channel 5 in the UK.

Home and Away's Brax will show his darker side when lawyer Hayley O'Connor returns to Summer Bay.

Hayley (Alyssa McClelland) arrives back on Australian screens next week as Brax's brother Heath (Dan Ewing) wants her advice on how to stop pregnant Bianca from leaving the area with his unborn child.

However, Brax is unhappy to see Hayley as he blames her for the death of his late partner Charlie - knowing that she helped to get Jack Pirovic out of jail before he committed the tragic crime.

Desperate to get answers and considering revenge, Brax forces Hayley into a car and takes her to a deadly cliff-top location.

Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax, told TV Week: "He's feeling all this anger and pain from seeing her, and he feels like he has to do something. Without thinking, he gets her in a car and takes her out there. He's frightened by what he thinks he could do.

"It goes against his grain, but she's taken the love of his life from him, and desperate people do desperate things in desperate circumstances."

The actor added: "He isn't thinking straight and he's on the verge of making a very big mistake. It's whether his better instincts kick in before he does anything too drastically wrong. There's definitely something in his eye that the audience may not have seen before."

Home and Away airs these scenes next week on Network Seven in Australia and in May on Channel 5 in the UK.

Home and Away will feature episodes filmed in Melbourne, Channel Seven has announced.

The Australian soap is filming in the city - the second largest in the country - this week.

Set to air at some point later this year, River Boys Brax (Steve Peacocke) and Heath (Dan Ewing) will provide the focus of the special episodes.

Shot mostly in the inner city, famous locations include Flinders Street Station, Federation Square and the Yarra River.

Series producer Lucy Addario teased: "We are excited to bring Home and Away to Melbourne again. We have a great Melbourne story that needs to be told and we look forward to working with local cast and crew.

"Fans can expect to see what The River Boys get up to outside of Summer Bay and the lengths they will go to protect their family."

In its 25-year history, Home and Away's characters have hardly been seen outside Summer Bay, this being only the second time scenes have been filmed in Melbourne.

I'm pretty sure there have been more episodes in Melbourne. There was the time one of the kids ran away, Melody I think it was. That wasn't too long ago. I think the Sutherlands went to Melbourne too.

One of Home and Away's River Boys will be left for dead in an upcoming storyline, it has been revealed.

Brax will be brutally attacked outside Angelo's before being dumped in a forest by a group of thugs outside.

Steve Peacocke, who plays the eldest River Boy Brax, predicts that criminal father Danny could have ordered the attack.

"You'd think with father and son that blood is thicker than water, but that's why Brax is so afraid of him: he knows Danny would get rid of him in a heartbeat," Peacocke told TV Week.

"Maybe taking Brax out of the equation is his way of having a relationship with the boys. No-one knows how far Danny will go?"

Danny, who recently arrived in Summer Bay after being released from jail, manages to persuade Heath (Dan Ewing) and Casey (Lincoln Younes) that he is a changed man.

Peacocke added: "Danny is the one Brax is truly afraid of, because he's everything Brax could be but doesn't want to be.

"It's completely frustrating for Brax, because he knows what this bloke is all about, yet neither of his brothers will take his word for it.

"He argued with them at first, but he has to let them find out themselves, even though he's kind of unleashing the devil really."

Home and Away's Brax and Natalie will collapse into each other's arms in a moment of passion in an upcoming storyline.

Catherine Mack, who plays Natalie, told TVWeek: "She can see through his act. She believes with her whole heart he's a good person. She will not stop until she makes him realise that.

"It kind of just happens. She wants to help him and soothe him. Then, it's on, and neither of them is thinking about what they're doing. Caution is thrown to the wind.

"There's chemistry and electricity between them. But, the minute it happens, she's thinking, 'Oh my God, have I crossed the line?'"

Steve Peacocke, Summer Bay's Brax, added: "When he's at a low point, she pounces. He's vulnerable and he thinks, 'Why not?'"

However, Peacocke added that the pair begin to "regret" and "rethink" their actions in the following days.

Home and Away's Darryl 'Brax' Braxton has been at the centre of the soap's biggest storylines since his arrival in early 2011, and with more dramas ahead for him in upcoming episodes, that doesn't look likely to change anytime soon.

In real life, Steve Peacocke - who plays Brax - has secured a nomination for 'Best Daytime Star' at the Inside Soap Awards, which take place in London next month.

Steve recently caught up with Digital Spy for a quick chat about his nomination and what's ahead for Brax.

Congratulations on your nomination for 'Best Daytime Star' at the Inside Soap Awards. How does it feel to be in the running?
"It's great and such a surprise. Every time we roll up for a take, I forget that it's not just the cast and crew on set that see our work, but the whole of our Aussie audience - and UK audience! It's really heartening to know that so many viewers are enjoying our show and that I can play a small part in the process."

How do you rate your chances?
"There are some really talented people nominated, so I don't rate my chances all that highly. It'd be great to bring home an award from the UK though."

Home and Away is also up for the 'Best Daytime Soap' prize. Can you tell us why you think people should vote for the show this year?
"I can't really. I'm not a big fan of self-promotion and when it comes to theatre, film, TV or even sport, I'm all for voting with your feet - or your remote control! If you love something, you love it, no-one can convince you otherwise. And if the viewers out there enjoy the show as much as we all love making it, we could be in with a shot…"

It's been another busy year for you on Home and Away so far. What have the highlights been?
"I really enjoyed the storylines with Andy McPhee, who plays our dad on the show. He was great to work with and I learnt a lot from him. And what's coming up in the weeks after his arrival was AWESOME to shoot. Very different to everyday Summer Bay…"

Will the Brax and Danny animosity always remain?
"They hate each other. That won't change! It just makes things very dangerous for everyone."

This year has been different for you because you're not working with Esther Anderson (Charlie) anymore. Has that changed life for you on set much?
"Esther was loved by everybody on set and everyone misses her a lot. Though it's good to know that the Charlie character is still such a big part of Brax's storyline and history. The tattoo he got for her - Cara de mo chroi (friend of my heart) - never leaves his side."

Natalie Davison is Brax's current love interest. Do you think this could become a serious relationship, or is Brax just wanting a bit of fun?
"Brax is a pretty complicated bloke and also very protective - of himself and his family. He's not the type to go along with something just for the ride. Charlie was unique and will always hold a special place in his heart, but he needs to move on. Natalie's a pretty special woman, so yes it will be serious for him."

Given how popular the Brax and Charlie pairing was, were you nervous about how fans would react to a new romance story for your character? What kind of a reaction have you seen so far?
"The reaction has been mixed, mostly because people miss the whole Charlie and Brax storyline. But the new relationship has been equally exciting to play and is taking a new direction. I think fans are really starting to see it as something new and enjoying it.

"It needed to be a slow burn for Brax, but the writers threw in a storyline that ignites the relationship in a big way. Viewers can look forward to one of the biggest storylines the show has ever put to air. Shooting it was one of the best weeks of my life, and we were a very long way from Summer Bay."

From interviews you gave at the time, it sounded like Brax's cage fighting story was a real challenge for you. Is there any more material on the way which has really pushed you?
"It was an awesome storyline and I really hope we can return to it sometime in the future. The funny thing is, almost every scene or storyline pushes you in different ways. I try so hard to make my work real and true to the given circumstances of the story."

How long would you like to stay on Home and Away for? Will you be around for the 25th anniversary in January, and if so, are you looking forward to it?
"A long time. Yes and yes!"

Can you give us any final hints on what is next for Brax?
"I can't actually tell you. Some actors on our show like to know what's going on with their characters three months in advance, but I like to find out as it's happening. Every Sunday arvo I sit down with a cup of tea - or a long neck - put on some Frank Zappa and read what happens next. It's more exciting for me that way!"

Home and Away newcomer Natalie Davison decides to put her blossoming romance with Darryl 'Brax' Braxton on hold in an upcoming storyline.

Natalie and Brax are currently growing ever closer in episodes airing in Australia, but they soon agree to cool things down for the sake of Brax's younger brother Casey (Lincoln Younes).

With Natalie counselling Casey as he faces a charge for killing his father Danny, she realises that the teenager needs her full attention at the present time.

Catherine Mack, who plays Natalie, told TV Week of the storyline: "Natalie's worried their relationship will get in the way and Casey will stop talking to her if she's going out with his brother. She cares about helping Casey more than her own personal life."

Revealing that his character agrees with Natalie's decision, Brax actor Steve Peacocke commented: "Casey is the centre of his universe and Brax has pledged that he would be the father they didn't have.

"It leads to a point where they have to put their relationship on hold because of Casey and it's difficult for them both, but they both know it's best for Casey."

When Casey learns of the pair's decision, he insists that they should put themselves first - but Natalie stands firm.

However, Mack added that Natalie and Brax will be sharing plenty more screen time in the coming weeks.

She explained: "Their attraction to each other is undeniable, and even though it's not the key focus, they can't help but continue to be around each other and be attracted to each other. There's also definitely drama coming to the Bay where Natalie and Brax will have to join forces to work together."

Home and Away airs weeknights at 7pm on Network Seven in Australia. The show returns to Channel 5 in the UK on Monday, September 3 at 6pm.

Over on Home and Away, Darryl 'Brax' Braxton grows closer to Natalie Davison despite attempting to push her away.

Brax (Steve Peacocke) seems ready to distance himself from Natalie (Catherine Mack) later this month, making it clear that he wants her to back off as she continues to pry into his personal life.

Natalie's concerns increase, however, as Brax vows to give up on his brother Casey - furious that he is spending so much time with their father Danny. Brax is unaware that Casey is merely playing double agent, determined to find out what Danny is up to.

As Natalie urges Brax to keep trying with Casey, he brushes her off by insisting that he isn't the good man she thinks he is.

Natalie dismisses this, and when she continues to push things with Brax, sparks fly as they kiss and end up sleeping together…

Home and Away star Catherine Mack has said that bad boy Brax's life may be too "complicated" for her character Natalie Davison.

The pair have become an item in recent weeks, but things are about to turn sour on Australian screens as Natalie decides that she cannot be with Brax (Steve Peacocke) anymore.

Natalie's choice comes after an adventure in the desert with Brax and his younger brother Casey (Lincoln Younes).

Mack told TV Week: "I think she was a little bit shaken up because Brax was about to skip town with Casey and didn't really care about her or take her feelings into consideration.

"He expected her to come along and leave her life that she's set up in Summer Bay. The realisation sets in when she gets back, and she can't be with someone whose life is so complicated.

"She had such a happy life before she met Brax and it's just been one thing after another. She thinks that maybe they would be better off without each other."

However, Mack added that Natalie is unlikely to find a new love interest in Summer Bay anytime soon.

She said: "Not in the near future. She seems pretty focused on her work and running. She does a lot of running on the beach and is focusing on being healthy and fit, and not thinking about Brax."

Home and Away airs weekdays at 7pm on Network Seven in Australia, and weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 in the UK.

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has revealed that his character Brax will be left in turmoil over his feelings for Natalie Davison.

The on-off couple share a kiss in the soap's 2012 season finale week, bringing them together for the first time since Natalie dumped Brax after their adventure in the desert.

Peacocke told TV Week: "What brought them together initially was Natalie working with Casey and it's been on again, off again, but they realise there are still feelings between them.

"There's a history between them now. They know more about each other and he would like to be with her."

However, it seems that the pair's troubles are not over, as Brax is given food for thought when John Palmer rebukes him for spending time with unsavoury characters like Adam Sharpe.

Reminded of his tragic relationship with Charlie Buckton, Brax realises that it may be best to stay away from Natalie (Catherine Mack) for her own sake.

Peacocke added: "It touches a raw nerve because [John] reminds Brax of what he is. Brax has got this tattoo on his hand that reminds him that he had the love of his life [Charlie] and she's gone because of him."

Whatever happens, viewers can expect more twists and turns between the duo in 2013 as Natalie's ex-boyfriend will arrive in the Bay, which leaves Brax feeling threatened.

Peacocke confirmed: "He's a bit of an alpha male, Brax is, and he does go into domination mode!

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has told Digital Spy that his character Brax's "jealous streak" may emerge in an upcoming storyline.

Viewers have seen Brax in an on-off relationship with counsellor Natalie Davison (Catherine Mack) in recent months, and Peacocke confirmed that the twists and turns for the pair aren't over yet.

Peacocke told Digital Spy: "There's no happy ever after! He likes her, but what's about to happen is someone else in the Bay might have his eye on Natalie. So you might see the jealous streak in Brax come out and the alpha male!"

Asked whether Brax's grief for his last partner Charlie Buckton is causing problems, the actor replied: "Absolutely. You can't just get over someone who you felt that strongly for.

"It's one of those on again, off again things - but he wants to be with [Natalie]. It's whether or not he can convince her that he's not just a lot of trouble, because that's all he is so far!"

Peacocke also confirmed that things won't quieten down for the Braxtons this year despite an eventful 2012.

He said: "We're lucky. Every time I pick up the scripts I think, 'Oh man, they'll have to stop giving us this stuff'. I'm continually surprised and excited by all the cool stuff we get to do."

Home and Away bad boy Brax will face another life-or-death situation after his niece Darcy is kidnapped.

An upcoming storyline on the Summer Bay soap sees Brax risk his own safety when he discovers that Darcy has been snatched by villainous Adam Sharpe (Martin Lynes).

Adam takes the schoolgirl to force her father Heath (Dan Ewing) to complete a dangerous drugs deal for him. However, Brax soon makes the big decision to step in and carry out the job himself.

Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax, told TV Week: "Adam's using Darcy as collateral to get Heath to do a very dodgy drug deal. It's at that point where Brax thinks, 'Heath, you've got a daughter, but me? I've got no dependants', so Brax decides to step in and do it himself - because he doesn't want Darcy to potentially be without a dad.

"He knows what it's like to be brought up without parents and doesn't want that life for Darcy."

Viewers will see that the arrangement turns out to be just as dangerous as expected, with the ruthless drug dealer carrying a gun and preparing to use it on Brax.

Fortunately, Heath arrives just in time to save his brother from the gunman. Wrongly assuming that he's now safe, Brax then heads off to confront Adam.

However, during a heated and emotional confrontation between Adam and Brax, the angry drug dealer returns to haunt both men following the failed exchange - speeding right towards them in his car.

Although Peacocke kept tight-lipped about what happens next, he warned: "It doesn't end well."

Home and Away airs these scenes next week on Network Seven in Australia, and in March on Channel 5 in the UK.

Home and Away's Darryl 'Brax' Braxton will finally move on from ex-girlfriend Natalie Davison when a face from his past arrives in Summer Bay.

Brax is bowled over when old friend Ricky Sharpe, played by Bonnie Sveen, makes an unexpected appearance in the Bay for Bianca and Heath's engagement party.

Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax, told TV Week: "She's been a family friend since Brax was a teenager, and she's also Adam's little sister. Ricky was always the cheeky younger sister. She was always too young, but now she's grown up and looks great!

"The chemistry has always been there, and now that the shackles are off, they can really make something of it."

Brax feels an immediate spark as he catches up with Ricky at the party, so he soon invites her back to his place for a night of passion.

Although both agree that this is just a casual fling for now, Peacocke has refused to rule out a more serious relationship for the pair.

He explained: "It's been a while since Brax felt that spark and it's good. I love it when Brax is with a girl, because the other side of him can come out - the funny side, where he's not trying to control everything.

"Ricky is a ball of energy and she takes Brax back to a happier time, when life was a bit simpler. He knows everything is good at the moment, but he can't give her all this trust straight away, so it's definitely more of a physical thing to begin with.

"It's just whether Ricky's past will get in the way, because she does have one - and it's pretty intense."

Speaking to TV Week, the actor, who plays Summer Bay's 'Brax', said: "I wasn't expecting to win Gold. The Gold, you hope is a reward for a body of work, just like (winner) Asher Keddie said."

Discussing his Silver win at the biggest night on Australian Television, Peacocke said: "It was just amazing to win. I was so nervous going up to accept the Logie, but at least I remembered to thank Bridgette (Peacocke's girlfriend) this year.

"I was really hoping Lachy Hulme was going to get the award as I thought he was really deserved it.

"I'm chuffed the audience are so supportive of the show and of me and my work. Winning this award make me feel like we're on the right track. I don't take their support for granted."

Peacocke recently said that he wasn't hopeful of winning at the Logie's.

Home and Away's Ricky Sharpe will fear for Brax's life when her brother Adam declares he wants him dead.

Brax (Steve Peacocke) is still unaware that Adam is alive and seeking revenge on him, so he has no idea of the danger.

The shock declaration comes after Adam gets his sister Ricky to transfer funds in to Connie's account. When Connie discovers the transfer, she wrongly believes Heath (Dan Ewing) has deposited the money because he's obtained it illegally.

Upset to think Heath has resorted to crime again, Connie refuses to let Heath have any contact with his daughter Darcy. However, when Heath learns about the transfer, he believes it was Brax who deposited the cash and seeking with rage, he punches his brother on the beach.

Speaking to TV Week, Peacocke said: "Heath punches Brax because he thinks Brax is trying to control his life and has gone behind his back."

He continued: "This is part of Adam's masterplan - to drive a wedge between the brothers and tear the family apart. His plan is certainly working because Heath is pretty angry."

Brax later opens up to Ricky about his family problems and she pretends to know nothing about what has been happening. A guilty Ricky then goes to find Adam to try to explain that Brax isn't as bad as he believes. However, Ricky is shocked when Adam threatens that unless she does what she is told, he will kill Brax.

Peacocke said: "It is a really compromising situation. Adam is lying about this bloke she has started to fall in love with, and she's gutted because she is realising that Adam has got it all wrong.

"Things have stepped up to a new level and his life is in danger. She's trying to fix the situation."

Home and Away's Steve Peacocke will take a break from the soap while he pursues a film role in America.

Peacocke, who plays Summer Bay's Brax, will play a supporting role in Hollywood film Hercules.

Speaking to Yahoo about his new part, Peacocke said: "I work on Home and Away and [am] loving that, [but] I managed to put a tape down for Hercules. The director saw it and before I knew it I flew to Los Angeles on a Friday afternoon.

"I auditioned with the director, producers and writers and flew back on Sunday night, ready for a Monday morning start at Palm Beach."

However, Peacocke insists that this is not the end for his Home and Away character Brax.

"It signals the launch for a whole new storyline that would not have come about if I did not get this film role.

"The writers came up with this awesome scenario, Brax leaves the storyline and comes back. It's going to be exciting to come back to, I can't wait."

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has publicly thanked the show's bosses for allowing his upcoming break from Summer Bay.

As revealed earlier today, the actor has landed a supporting role in Hollywood movie Hercules, which will require time away from his soap commitments.

Hercules, which is currently in pre-production, will star Dwayne Johnson, John Hurt, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes and Rufus Sewell. It is currently scheduled for release in July 2014 from Paramount and MGM.

Filming will take place in Budapest, Hungary in the coming months. Peacocke will return to his role as Home and Away's Brax in September.

Peacocke said today: "This is an incredible opportunity for me to experience film on a massive scale, work with a world-class director, actors and two of the biggest studios in the world. I'm grateful [Australian broadcaster] Seven is allowing me time out to get a taste of that world."

Home and Away's producer Lucy Addario added: "Steve is a truly great actor so it is no surprise that Hollywood has come calling. We are thrilled to be able to give Steve this short break from Home and Away and support him as he takes up this amazing opportunity."

Peacocke has been appearing on Home and Away since February 2011.

Home and Away actor Steve Peacocke has spoken about his starring role in Hollywood film Hercules, and the impact it will have on his role in the soap.

The actor, who is taking a hiatus from playing Brax in the Australian show, said that accepting the part of Stephanos in the film means that his character "is going to be out of action for a short while."

Peacocke added: "When he comes back into the story, his [life] and everyone he cares about lives have changed for ever. It means a very unexpected turn in his life that's probably the most intense and exciting storyline I have done yet."

The actor, who added that landing a job in America had "always been a dream" and was "a step in the right direction", also said that it was very important for him to be able to return to Summer Bay.

"I love where I currently work and I'm happy to come back with more experience to make what I do on the show even better," Peacocke continued.

"I'm grateful that Channel Seven were happy to facilitate the progression in my career like this. I've got the best of both worlds.

"I can go and work in a feature film which has always been a dream, and then come back to the job and the people that I love more than anything I've ever done."

Hercules, which also stars John Hurt, Ian McShane and Dwayne Johnson, is set for a July 2014 release.

Concluding, Peacocke said of his co-stars: "I just hope I can learn something from all of them and keep up."

Home and Away's Brax will be left with an impossible decision after his enemy Adam forces him to choose whether he wants to save Tamara or Ricky.

Adam kidnaps both Tamara and Ricky and holds them hostage in an upcoming UK storyline, which is already airing in Australia.

Whilst being held hostage, Tamara (Kelly Paterniti) is disgusted to discover that Ricky (Bonnie Sveen) has a lot more to do with their kidnappers than she had been letting on.

However, when an attempt to escape goes wrong, the girls are both left fearing for their lives.

Kelly Paterniti told TV Week: "Tamara's terrified. She doesn't know where she is or who these people are.

"She is initially comforted with having someone she knows with her in a hostage situation but when it becomes clear Ricky hasn't been honest with her, she's furious.

"She is shocked when she sees Adam as she thought he was dead."

In order to regain Tamara's trust in her, Ricky hatches an escape plan for the two of them. Their bid for freedom doesn't quite go to plan though and while Ricky escapes, Tamara is trapped.

Adam and his allies quickly catch up with Ricky though and threaten that if either of the girls try and escape again, he will kill them.

Things go from bad to worse when Brax, who is desperately trying to find the girls, gets a phone call from Adam who he believed was dead. Adam orders Brax to decide which girl he wants to save - Tamara or Ricky.

Home and Away fans can expect another rift between the Braxton brothers when Brax decides that his new girlfriend Ricky Sharpe should move in.

Brax (Steve Peacocke) is ready to make a go of his relationship with Ricky, having forgiven the blonde for being part of her brother Adam's revenge scheme against the Braxtons.

Ricky initially rejects Brax's idea, knowing that his younger brother Casey (Lincoln Younes) won't be pleased.

Bonnie Sveen, who plays Ricky, told TV Week: "She's still in disbelief that Brax has forgiven her and that his love overrides everything that has happened. She just doesn't see moving in together as feasible.

"If Ricky is living there, then no-one's around to look after Casey, which is what she thinks Brax should be preoccupied with. She's known them most of her life and wouldn't want to get in the way of their relationship."

When Ricky finally relents and agrees to live with Brax, her worst fears are realised as Casey reacts badly, unable to forget Ricky's recent mistakes.

Sveen added: "[Ricky] is in a very confronting situation."

Home and Away's Brax will face a tough decision as his girlfriend Ricky Sharpe's court day looms.

Viewers will know that Brax (Steve Peacocke) has forgiven Ricky (Bonnie Sveen) for being part of her brother Adam's revenge scheme against the Braxtons.

However, Ricky still has to face court for her crime and has accepted she's going to go to prison.

Brax is adamant that she shouldn't have to serve time, much to the annoyance of his younger brother Casey (Lincoln Younes), who has lost his girlfriend Tamara due to Ricky and her scheming.

Ricky's fate could be well and truly in Brax and Casey's hands after they are summoned to give evidence against her in court.

Brax tries to convince Casey to downplay Ricky's actions when he testifies but given the fact that Casey holds her responsible for Tamara's memory loss, he doesn't want to go out of his way to get Ricky off the hook.

Peacocke told TV Week: "Brax is asking his brother to let him be happy and he's going to be happy if Ricky is in his life. All that is standing in the way is Casey.

"He's reaching out to his brother to do the right thing. It's asking a lot - he understands. But he thinks after all the things he has done to help Casey and Heath, this is the one time he owes them.

"He'll be devastated if Ricky ends up going to jail - he truly thinks it's not all her fault."

Peacocke told TV Week: "Brax realises that if he declares to the court that he and Ricky are in a de facto relationship, he can get off testifying against this woman he loves on a technicality - which is a bit of a bombshell."

However, whilst Brax might be adamant that he won't testify against Ricky, he is still hasn't convinced his younger brother Casey or his former girlfriend Tamara Kingsley to do the same.

Peacocke added: "At this point, Brax is willing to do whatever he can. He is desperate. He'll beg, steal or borrow to see that she gets off.

When Sally (Kate Ritchie) meets Brax, the pair chat about their families and Sally opens up about her struggle to raise the funds for Pippa's treatment.

Feeling touched by the situation, Brax (Steve Peacocke) then anonymously donates AU$88,000 to Sally's fundraising efforts.

Ritchie told TV Week: "Sally has no idea where the money has come from.

"It is quite heartfelt that it's anonymous because it means the person isn't doing it for recognition."

Home and Away airs these scenes next week in Australia and in the autumn in the UK.

Home and Away's Brax will be arrested after he confesses to a terrible secret that he has been keeping for years.

Viewers will be left shocked when they discover just how dark Brax's (Steve Peacocke) past really is in a new story that will see him pushed to the limits.

Bonnie Sveen, who plays Brax's girlfriend Ricky Sharpe, said to TV Week: "If they are anything like me then they will be shocked. We really see Brax pushed to the limit like we never have before.

"Brax has been acting really out of character. It isn't like him to be so mysterious and secretive with Ricky because they have known each other forever and there is nothing she doesn't know about him.

"She just wants to know what is troubling him and is disturbed by his inability to share."

While details of Brax's secret are being kept under wraps for now, Sveen confirms that Ricky will be left devastated over the latest turn of events.

The actress said: "Her heart breaks for Brax because it is just tragic. She knows what a heavy conscience Brax has and she is scared of what he might do to redeem himself. He wants to live with the consequences."

However, unbeknown to Ricky, Brax has decided to confess to the police and it isn't long before they are arriving to arrest him.

Over on Home and Away, Brax goes on the warpath after his younger brother Casey sustains potentially life-changing injuries in a horrifying road incident.

Next week's episodes see Casey and Maddy Osborne run off the road by newcomers Josh and Andy Barrett (Jackson Gallagher and Tai Hara), who are two new bad boys in Summer Bay.

Brax's initial focus is on Casey's wellbeing as he recovers from the crash in hospital. However, when it becomes clear that Casey may never walk again, Brax (Steve Peacocke) decides that it's time for payback and quizzes Maddy for all the details of what happened.

Although Maddy (Kassandra Clementi) is initially reluctant to land anyone in hot water without firm evidence to back it up, she later overhears the Barretts talking and realises that they were responsible.

Maddy decides to share this information with Brax, who immediately lets his fists do the talking as he confronts Josh and Andy. Will he go too far?

Over on Home and Away, Brax shocks his loved ones by revealing that he killed Andy and Josh Barrett's father years ago.

After being quizzed by Casey and Ricky over his interest in the Barrett brothers, Brax (Steve Peacocke) reveals that their fathers had a connection. However, he refuses to disclose any more and decides to leave Summer Bay for a few days.

Brax then heads into Mangrove River in search of Andy Barrett but when he arrives at Andy's house, he finds Debbie Barrett instead.

As a huge fight breaks out between Brax, Debbie and Andy, who is also there, Andy reveals that they caused Casey's car crash as payback for their dad's disappearance.

Whilst Ricky thinks the secret should be kept in the past, Brax is determined to do the right thing and tells his brothers what he did.

However, as the family struggle to process the news, the police soon arrive and arrest Brax as he has already turned himself in.

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has insisted that he is happy to stay on the show for the foreseeable future. :cheer:

The actor, who plays Summer Bay's Brax, landed a supporting role in Hollywood movie Hercules earlier this year, which required him to take a break from his soap commitments.

Speaking to TV Week, Peacocke said: "As long as they keep having me at Palm Beach, I will keep turning up to work. I love it. The novelty of this job hasn't worn off. I'm happy to just keep doing it.

"I just float around in this career. I've never planned anything. I just enjoy where I am and trust the rest of it will take care of itself."

Filming for Hercules took place in Budapest, Hungary and is currently scheduled for release in July 2014.

Speaking about the role, Peacocke added: "I was just lucky the right thing came up at the right time. Chris [Hemsworth] has been successful because he's his own man. You only have success if you do your own thing.

"I had to grow my non-existent facial hair. They wanted me to grow my monobrow out as they thought it looked more Greek, too."

Peacocke has appeared on the Australian soap since February 2011.

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has revealed that he has no immediate plans to leave the soap.

The actor, who plays Summer Bay's Brax, said that he loves the show and is happy to stay for the foreseeable future.

Dan Ewing, who plays Brax's brother Heath, confirmed last year that he would be bowing out of the show, and hinted that the rest of the Braxton brothers could be doing the same.

Speaking to the Herald Sun, Peacocke said: "Anyone who knows me knows how much I love the job, so I'd love to stay as long as I can.

"[Leaving] is not even a conversation I've had with the production. I'm so blasé about these things I don't even know when my contract's supposed to finish, whereas other people are itching to get out.

"If Home and Away let me go off, if I'm lucky enough to get more film work, if I can take time off to do that and come back, I'd always be happy to do that."

Speaking about what is coming up next for Brax, Peacocke said: "Brax is in jail and in his mind he's going to be there for the foreseeable future."

Brax is led to his cell.

He continued: "Brax sees himself as a burden on his brothers and a burden on Ricky so he thinks the best thing he can do is cut himself off from everyone.

"He realises he will never be able to convince his brothers and Ricky not to come and see him so he applies for a transfer to another prison and doesn't let anyone know. He thinks that will allow them to go about their lives and get on with things."

Peacocke also heaped praise upon his co-star Lincoln Younes, who plays younger Braxton brother Casey.

"I particularly like working with Lincoln because he takes the job so seriously. He's an ambitious young fella," Peacocke added. "Every day I go to work with him I know he's going to be on the money with what he brings.

"Home and Away can be anything you want to make it. People who don't take it seriously won't last very long."

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has said that this year will be big for the Braxton family.

The actor's character Brax is currently serving time in jail after confessing to a crime from his past, but Peacocke has hinted that it won't stay that way for long.

Speaking to Yahoo TV, he said: "For Brax, it will be a big year because somehow he gets out of jail. For Heath, it is going to be a big year because he is in a lot of trouble with his wife Bianca.

"Casey has got himself a new girl. We all find out an interesting fact about our dad and in particular relation to Casey. Kyle finds himself a crazy girl called Phoebe who keeps him and all of us on our toes."

Peacocke also revealed that a new storyline coming up for the Braxton and Barrett brothers will be his biggest one to date.

He said: "The Barrett boys are causing a lot of trouble with our family as per usual. They've got a particularity big impact on our family this year.

"Brax sees a photo in Josh's wallet and he thinks it looks out of place in his wallet. It makes him wonder what it is doing there and he investigates it and it leads to a pretty big revelation about the relationship between the two families. It causes a lot of angst and a lot of drama and a pretty big revelation for Casey.

"The storyline I am most looking forward to, we haven't started shooting it yet, but it will be the biggest storyline that I have been involved in and it has got a lot to do with Brax and Casey. It's going to be huge."

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has said that his character Brax's return to Summer Bay will 'blow his family away'.

Viewers know that Brax is currently serving time in prison after he confessed to killing Johnny Barrett years ago.

However, when Adam confesses that it was him who killed Johnny after all, Brax is released from prison and heads back to Summer Bay.

Peacocke said toTV Week: "After Casey and Ricky lean on Adam to confess, Adam's conscience gets the better of him and he eventually comes clean.

"We discover Brax didn't actually kill Johnny - it was Adam. That's the revelation that gets him out of jail.

"His brothers are blown away. It's completely unexpected. Even in the short time Brax has been away, the power has shifted in the Braxton family. He's come home to a very different house to the one he left."

Brax is set to face further problems when he discovers that his former girlfriend Ricky has moved on with newcomer Nate.

Peacocke said: "He thought he was protecting her by cutting her loose. Even though he understands it, he wishes it wasn't that way.

"When Brax and Ricky do meet up, it's both bittersweet and awkward. They are happy to see each other, but things are different. Too much has happened for them to go back to the way they were.

"Over the next few months audiences will see just how persistent Brax can be."

Steve Peacocke and Bridgette Sneddon

Rumours of the pair's happy news first circulated earlier this week, but it was finally confirmed on Home and Away's official website today (March 7).

A post on the site read: "It's true - we can confirm that Steve Peacocke and Bridgette Sneddon are engaged."

The actors first met while working together in drama school. While Peacocke has been busy with his soap commitments in recent years, Sneddon has concentrated on stage work.

Peacocke joined the cast of Home and Away in late 2010 and first appeared on screen as Brax in February the following year.

Sneddon's casting in the show was announced last December. While her first scenes are yet to air, it has been confirmed that she is playing the role of Sophie Taylor, a newcomer with a connection to the Bay.

Speaking to the Herald Sun last year, Sneddon commented: "It's been odd not seeing each other in the last three years after working together so much [during drama school]. I've just seen how much he loves his job and loves going up to Palm Beach.

"If he could do this job for the rest of his life, he'd be a happy man. He's just excited I get to experience that and likewise, I'm thrilled to be doing it."

Home and Away's Brax will be blackmailed by Andy Barrett when the bad boy discovers the truth about Casey's paternity.

Viewers in Australia have already seen Brax learn that Casey's real father is Johnny Barrett, making him a half-sibling of Barrett brothers Andy and Josh.

Although Brax tries his best to keep the shocking revelation under wraps as he doesn't want to upset Casey, it's not long before Andy finds out the truth for himself.

Tai Hara, who plays Andy, told TV Week: "It's the last thing Andy expected. It's a kick in the guts, especially considering the bad blood between the families.

"Andy is so protective of Josh and their relationship. Anything that could damage it in any way is scary for him."

When Andy later realises this could be a lucrative opportunity, he insists that he will only keep quiet if Brax pays him $5,000.

Hara added: "As far as Andy is concerned, Casey is not family. So he sees this as an opportunity to make some money."

Feeling backed into a corner, Brax agrees to the deal with Andy, but there is a further twist when Josh overhears their conversation and also discovers the secret.

Home and Away fans will find out whether Josh tells Casey the truth when the scenes air next week in Australia and in May on Channel 5 in the UK.

Over on Home and Away, a big new storyline begins for the Braxtons and the Barretts as Brax makes a shocking discovery.

When Josh and Andy Barrett go through the belongings of their late father Johnny, they find several photographs, including one of a baby.

Home and Away's Brax will find himself in another dangerous situation when gunshots are fired towards his home.

The Summer Bay favourite has his on-off girlfriend Ricky Sharpe (Bonnie Sveen) by his side when they come under attack in dramatic scenes.

The surprising incident comes as part of a tense day for Brax, who has already been clashing with his rival Andy Barrett (Tai Hara) at Angelo's.

Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax, told TV Week: "Andy is always trying to get under Brax's skin. Andy's feeling a bit insecure in his relationship with his own brother, so he keeps trying to drive a wedge between Brax and Casey.

"But what he doesn't understand is the bond between Brax and Casey is so strong."

Ricky intervenes in Brax's latest row, but once they return to the share house together, they are both left terrified as an unknown shooter targets the place.

Peacocke added: "They're at the share house when these shots come through the window. It's a really scary moment."

Home and Away's Brax will risk his life to save Jett James after the teenager nearly drowns in an upcoming storyline.

The drama starts when Jett (Will McDonald) goes missing shortly after his adoptive father John proposes to partner Marilyn.

However, when Alf announces that his boat has gone missing as well, John and Marilyn are left panic-stricken.

As John and Alf join forces to try and find him, Marilyn anxiously scans the water through a pair of binoculars and is horrified when she spots Jett attempting to swim back to shore after the boat sunk.

Realising she won't be able to get to Jett in time, Marilyn panics, but luckily Brax is nearby and wastes no time in jumping into the water to help the distressed teenager.

Steve Peacocke, who plays Brax, said to TV Week: "It's just one of those moments where he is in the right place at the right time. He sees Marilyn is a bit panicked and he realises why.

"He jumps straight in and swims out to Jett - it's a bit of a Baywatch moment for him! But as he gets closer, Jett starts to run out of energy."

STEVE PEACOCKE will this week pack his bags and head to Los Angeles for a series of meetings with movie and TV bosses and casting agents, in a bid to crack the American entertainment industry.

It’s all part of a grand plan the 32-year-old has had since he began performing but one which jeopardises the future of his popular Home And Away character.

The ambitious actor has played Darryl “Brax” Braxton on the hit Channel Seven series for three years now but it seems he’s starting to get itchy feet.

“I think the dream for any actor is to do well in America,” he said.

“It’s where I’ve always wanted to be. It’s hard though because at the same time, I’ve got this awesome job here.”

Producers last year allowed the former tradie from Dubbo to take a few months off to film his debut movie role, a small part in the blockbuster film Hercules.

Now they’re letting their biggest star take leave again, for two months’ worth of meetings that Peacocke hopes will land him his big break.

The last time Peacocke took off, writers were forced to put his hugely popular character Brax in jail. There are only so many times his absences can be accommodated, he concedes.

“We’ve filmed all of our cliffhanger stuff for this year,” he said. “Channel Seven have been really great with letting me take off for a while.”

This week, the long-running soap farewelled Lincoln Younes’ character Casey, Peacocke’s on-screen brother, in a dramatic murder storyline that prompted an outpouring from fans on social media.

Younes and Peacocke were part of the original trio of Braxton brothers, known as the River Boys, along with actor Dan Ewing who left for greener pastures earlier this year.

Credited with reviving Home And Away and boosting it's ratings, the characters have been popular with viewers and a gold mine for makers of the show.

On the weekend, Peacocke will wash off his burly character’s fake tattoos for the last time for a while and board a plane for Hollywood.

His fiance Bridgette Sneddon, who also joined the Summer Bay cast this year as Sophie, will join him in a few weeks’ time.

I get too homesick if I’m without Bridg for too long so I’m pretty glad she’s coming. Initially it’s me and mate who’s also chasing work over there, then she’ll join me.”

Between his meetings, facilitated by Peacocke’s American management, he and Sneddon will take some time out to explore the US, he said.

“We’ll definitely make time for a bit of travel.”

And after that, Peacocke said the plan is to return home to recommence work on Home And Away, saying he’s excited about the storyline coming up for Brax next year.

Of course, a big movie or TV part in America might change that.

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has said that his character Brax will be determined to get revenge following a shock shooting in Summer Bay.

Casey Braxton will be the unlucky victim who loses his life in an upcoming storyline, leaving a devastated Brax as the only original River Boy standing. :crying:

Speaking to The West, Peacocke said: "It doesn't take much for Brax to get hot under the collar, as the audience knows.

"He is pretty old school; he is an eye-for-an-eye kind of bloke, so he won't let this rest until he gets his revenge.

"He doesn't care what happens to him - he is a man on a mission now."

Lincoln Younes, who plays Casey, confirmed his show exit earlier this year, adding that he was planning to head over to America to seek work.

Home and Away will air more dramatic scenes later this year when Brax and Andy Barrett get caught up in an explosion as they pursue revenge on Jake Pirovic.

As Brax (Steve Peacocke) becomes determined to get justice for his brother Casey's death, he and Andy (Tai Hara) engage in a car chase that culminates in a huge explosion.

Unbeknown to their loved ones, Brax and Andy have been secretly hatching a plan to get Jake, and they meet up late at night to drive to the coast.

Despite Brax warning Andy that there is a chance they might not come back alive, they go ahead with their plan and wait in the bushes near Jake's hide-out place.

However, their plan soon falls apart when Jake spots their tyre marks and quickly realises something is up. As Jake gets back in his car and speeds off, a car chase soon ensues as Brax and Andy follow him in hot pursuit.

When Brax aims his car at Jake in an attempt to run his enemy off the road, the two cars hurtle towards each other. As Brax and Jake emerge from the crash and engage in a fierce confrontation, the car suddenly explodes and two people are sent flying.

Hara told TV Week: "The moment has come for Andy's redemption. Andy and Brax need to end this before anything else happens and more people get killed."

Peacocke added: "Brax is not going to swerve. If it means having a head-on-collision with Jake, then so be it."

I agree lizann, Andy deserves no redemption. The writers obviously want him to be a "reformed" character to continue in the show to make up for the loss of both Heath & Casey in quick succession, but there are things he has done that cannot ever be forgiven. I reckon that most of the people in Summer Bay won't get to know of Andy's full involvement with Jake & the plot against Brax (& the drugs!) & they will think he is ok for going after Jake with Brax. I posted previously that I have seen photos of Andy seemingly back together with Hannah (recently filmed but not to air till next year). It will be ridiculous if the writers let this happen given everything that has happened & will show Hannah's judgement as extremely poor (again!) - it seems they may want everyone to think of them as the new Heath &Bianca!

Home and Away's Brax will be forced to face up to his past after he nearly strangles teenager Josh Barrett.

Having previously lashed out at his younger brother Kyle, Brax (Steve Peacocke) causes concern once again when he attacks Josh (Jackson Gallagher) while half asleep.

Brax's dark side frightens his girlfriend Ricky (Bonnie Sveen), who attempts to get him to open up about his troubles, but to no avail.

However, it soon becomes more apparent that Brax's temper is being triggered by newcomer Ash (George Mason), who knew Brax from his time in prison.

Ash's arrival in Summer Bay has brought back bad memories for Brax, but Ash remains the only one who is unconcerned about his violence.

Speaking to TV Week, Mason said: "Ash is a reminder for Brax of his prison past. He is the only one who knows what it was like for Brax in prison. Ash being in the Bay has definitely shaken Brax up.

"For Ash, what he is seeing with Brax is normal. That is what it was like in prison. He's like, 'How have you guys not seen this side? This is exactly what I saw in prison.'"

Over on Home and Away, Brax faces the toughest day of his life as his younger brother Casey is laid to rest in a moving funeral.

Summer Bay is in mourning as the day of the funeral arrives and Brax, Josh, Kyle and Andy carry Casey's casket from the hearse, as the River Boys and the community gather for the ceremony.

As Brax stands by Casey's coffin, Ricky can see that he's barely holding it together, and the day is made worse when Brax receives a threatening note from Jake Pirovic.

Although a furious Brax leaves the ceremony in search of Jake, Andy manages to bring him back and Brax delivers a moving eulogy about his relationship with his brother, breaking down as he apologises for not looking after him as he promised.

Article in today's The Sunday Telegraph newspaper in Sydney.

"It's news that will devastate Summer Bay fans: The country's most popular TV ster Steve Peacocke is quitting Home And Away to try his luck in Hollywood.
But before lovelorn teenagers start sending tissue sales soaring, although he has filmed his final scenes as Daryl "Brax" Braxton's on the Channel 7 soap, Peacocke will continue to be seen on our screens for most of this year.
His new wife Bridgette Sneddon has also finished up on the show and the pair have moved to Los Angeles to try their luck.
" it wasn't something I was looking forward to because I love the show and the people I work with so much," Peacocke said.
"But I think the key to any good TV series or storytelling is to leave the audience at the right point, and where we got to with Brax, we hit a point where it was the best point for him to exit the show."
Peacocke, 33 , who got a taste of Hollywood with a small role in the Brett Ratner blockbuster Hercules last year, filmed his final scenes before Christmas.
"Brax is still going to be a big part of the show for just about all of 2015," Peacocke said.
His departure signals a big shift in the show as he was the last of the original River Boys on Home And Away after Lincoln Younes and Dan Ewing finished up.
"It worked well because the three of us blokes acted well together," he said. "It brought something new and injected a different sort of edge into Home And Away.
"Every time I get a trade or a Garbo recognise me on the street, I think that wouldn't have happened six years ago. So many footballers and professional sports people love the show and I think we injected a bit of that inti it for the past four years."
Peacocke's departure means the lead hunk role has Ben handed to a new batch of males, including Kiwi George Mason. And of course, Brax's half brother, Kyle, played by Nick Westaway, remains integral to the show.
"Tai Hara is on there, as is Kyle Pryor and Nic Westaway, so there's plenty of good fellas to keep up the storylines for the blokes," he said.

I knew it was only a matter of time, so I`m not too disappointed. Brax was always my favourite, and I grew to like Heath and Casey too. But as soon as Heath went, I knew the others would follow.
I wonder if Kyle will stay? I can`t stand his singer girlfriend (whose name I can`t remember, and not caring enough to look), so if they both leave together I wouldn`t be sad at all. Oh yeah...Phoebe,
2015 will be the end of the Braxton era as we knew it. At least the make up staff won`t be spending too much time putting the fake tattoos on the Braxtons anymore. With all of Brax and Heaths inkings, it must`ve been a full time job.

Oh yeah I had temporarily forgotten about them.. Good thinking Nell. I hope Ricky doesn`t leave...I like her.
Although I was thinking maybe she`ll get with Nate, but I think the writing is on the wall for him to leave Summer Bay also to chase a Hollywood dream.
It seems to me lately that H&A is just a stop gap for actors to get some experience before heading to LA. Seems rather selfish in a way. I can understand their ambitions, but it`s a shame for the fans.

Home and Away's Brax will struggle to clear his name when he is suspected of murder in an upcoming storyline.

Scenes airing in Australia have already shown Brax (Steve Peacocke) and former prison friend Ash (George Mason) take a trip out of Summer Bay in an attempt to track down Ash's sister and her dangerous boyfriend Dean.

When Dean ends up getting killed by a barman named Sam during their stay there, the finger is later pointed at Brax, who had headed out into the desert alone in search of him.

As the investigation into Dean's death starts to lead the police to Brax, Ash offers to take the wrap, knowing his friend has a baby on the way.

However, as Ash's memories of the trip start to come flooding back, TV Week reports that he will piece important bits of information together, remembering that Sam held a huge grudge against Dean.

Although Ash hopes that this information is enough to clear Brax's name, new policewoman Katarina (Pia Miller) is less enthusiastic, reminding them that the police have already looked into Sam and he isn't considered a suspect.

With no help from the police, Brax and Ash feel they have little choice but to return to the bush to find Sam and extract a confession.

Home and Away fans in the UK will see Dean's murder next week on Channel 5.

It was previously announced that Steve Peacocke has departed his role as Darryl 'Brax' Braxton, having filmed his final scenes.

Sveen, who plays Summer Bay's Ricky Sharpe, told TV Week "He has been the essence of my character's role in the show and a real central point of my experience at work.

"It's been a big adjustment for me. I miss him a lot. He's a very good friend. I definitely feel like working with him is the real heyday of my career."

With Ricky currently pregnant with Brax's baby, fans have been left to speculate over the future of the character once the River Boy leaves.

Home and Away actor Steve Peacocke has joined the cast of a new film starring Tina Fey.

The untitled Paramount Pictures project is based on Kim Barker's wartime memoir Taliban Shuffle, which is an account of her experiences as a terrorism and international affairs journalist.

Fey will play the self-confessed adrenaline junkie during her time in the field through Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, while Peacocke will play her bodyguard Nic, who also fancies her.

Fellow Aussie soap graduate Margot Robbie will also star in the movie, reports Deadline.

Although Peacocke has now finished filming his final scenes as Darryl 'Brax' Braxton, the actor recently said he will still be seen "for just about all of 2015".

Peacocke has starred as Brax in Home and Away for four years. His wife Bridgette Sneddon, who started playing Sophie Taylor last summer, is also leaving the soap.

Home and Away's Brax will find his relationship with Ricky Sharpe seriously tested as his behaviour continues to spiral out of control.

Australian viewers have recently seen Brax (Steve Peacocke) accused of the murder of bad boy Dean, despite the fact that he wasn't responsible.

When Brax returns from the outback after failing to get Sam - the real killer - to confess to murder, Ricky is initially delighted to see Brax, hoping they can settle down and deal with the situation together.

However, as Brax is grilled over his whereabouts by new police officer Kat, Ricky's joy at having him home is short-lived as she hears the extent of Brax's erratic behaviour from a concerned Ash.

With Ricky more concerned about Brax than ever, it seems their problems could be about to get worse when Kat receives an envelope that contains recent CCTV footage.

The footage clearly shows that Brax had ventured out of town and breached his bail conditions, and Kat immediately heads over to the Braxtons' to confront him with the new evidence.

Feeling the pressure, Brax loses his temper with the policewoman and yells at her in a fit of rage, while a horrified Ricky watches on.

Brax's week then goes from bad to worse when he hears that his trial is set to begin in two weeks' time. Unable to consider a life back in prison, Brax decides that he needs to escape Summer Bay.

Although Ash tries to keep a devastated Ricky calm while he heads out to look for Brax, whether he can bring the River Boy back to the Bay in time for his trial remains to be seen.

Bonnie Sveen, who plays Ricky, said to TV Week: "Watching Brax lose control of the situation, she knows there is not a lot she can do to calm him. His reaction is everything she had hoped they had moved away from.

"He is kind of having to admit defeat which is the most un-like Brax thing ever. Ricky is really grateful that Ash has defended her and her unborn child, but he is the one who involved Brax in all of this in the first place."

Home and Away's Brax will face the biggest decision of his life in an upcoming storyline, as he has to decide whether or not to plead guilty to a crime he didn't commit.

As his trial for Dean's murder approaches, Brax (Steve Peacocke) is given the opportunity to get away with a lighter sentence.

With all the evidence pointing at Brax, a jail sentence is becoming more of a possibility as the days go by. Therefore, when Brax's lawyer strikes a deal with the prosecution, he knows he has some serious thinking to do.

If Brax pleads guilty to the murder of Dean, the charge will be reduced to manslaughter and he will get an 8-year sentence. However, he pleads not guilty and is convicted anyway, he is looking at a 20-year stretch.

With his girlfriend Ricky and their unborn child weighing heavily on his mind, Brax starts to consider whether pleading guilty would be the best option after all.

Desperate to keep her family together, a devastated Ricky can't help but think that Brax is making the biggest mistake of his life.

As Sam tells Ash that he should be grateful that he didn't stitch up him as well, Brax and Ash soon realise that Sam has called the police. Has Brax landed himself in more trouble?

Home and Away's Brax will be thrown by an unexpected twist in court as he stands trial for Dean's murder.

The twist will come after Brax (Steve Peacocke) is given fresh hope by his lawyer, who believes he has found a way to finally prove his innocence.

Viewers know that Brax has been wrongly accused of killing the villain, and his lawyer will provide evidence that could point the finger at Sam, who is the real culprit.

As the trial begins, Brax and Ricky remain more desperate than ever to clear his name. With the only real hope resting on barman Sam coming forward and confessing, Brax is relieved when his lawyer manages to get hold of police and medical reports proving that Dean once assaulted Sam.

Brax knows that Sam's motivation for killing Dean was because of that attack, which subsequently put a stop on Sam's life ambition of becoming a pilot.

The evidence is enough to prove that Sam had a motive for killing Dean, and excites both Ricky and Brax as they start to contemplate Brax actually walking free.

However, with the trial already taking its toll on a pregnant Ricky, the family are thrown when there is an unexpected twist that could leave Brax's future looking very bleak.

Bonnie Sveen, who plays Ricky, told TV Week: "There isn't a lot of control in their hands at this stage.

"Ricky fears that him going back [to prison] could break him. He could turn self-destructive and violent like he was back then.

"The audience will know it has been a long journey for these two and how difficult it has been for Ricky to tame this lion. She helped him to see what he wanted, and that was to commit to his family."

Also ahead on Summer Bay, Brax has some tough decisions to make as he finally faces up to reality and contemplates a life in jail.

After agreeing to work alongside his partner Ricky (Bonnie Sveen) in order to tackle the case sensibly, Brax (Steve Peacocke) is left devastated after a meeting with his lawyer.

The lawyer explains to Ricky and Brax that the prosecution's case is watertight and as they have no evidence to prove that Brax didn't kill Dean, he is likely to be convicted and subsequently face 20 years in prison.

When his lawyer advises Brax to either accuse Ash in order to create reasonable doubt, or to plead guilty and receive a lighter sentence, Brax becomes angry and lashes out at him.

Later, Ricky advises Brax to consider pleading guilty if he wants to be around for their son while he is still a child. However, when Brax discusses the situation with Ash, he advises against it.

After much reflection, Brax realises that he has to do what is best for Ricky and his unborn son. With a heavy heart, Brax calls his lawyer and asks him to do a deal - he is going to plead guilty. Is Brax really willing to go to prison for a crime he didn't commit?

Home and Away airs these scenes on Wednesday, March 25 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.

Home and Away will air a dramatic climax to Brax's prison story when he is presumed dead after a car accident.

The latest drama for Brax (Steve Peacocke) kicks off as he attempts to escape prison with the help of his friend Ash and brother Kyle.

Although the plan is for Ash to intercept the car that Brax is being transported to another prison in, it all goes drastically wrong when a truck starts chasing them.

The truck eventually runs the car off the road and into a river, where panic ensues. While the prison officer quickly emerges from the water, Brax is nowhere to be seen which prompts a desperate search to try and find him.

Kat and a team of officers scour the river for any sign of Brax to no avail and they are forced to accept that Brax is more than likely dead.

Kat is then given the difficult task of breaking the news to Ricky, who is already out of her mind with worry over Brax's risky escape plan.

With a heavy heart, Kat tells Ricky, Kyle and Billie about the accident, adding that they will probably never find Brax's body.

A heartbroken Ricky finds herself unable to process the news as she now has to comprehend a life without Brax altogether.

George Mason, who plays Ash, told TV Week: "Ricky is in shock and doesn't deal with the news at all. It has gone from bad to worse for them.

"First, Brax was serving a sentence for 20 years and now he is dead."

Brax's final scenes will be aired next week in Australia and later in the summer in the UK. :crying:

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has praised his dramatic exit storyline.

Australian viewers will see Peacocke's character Brax presumed dead in explosive scenes next week, after his prison escape plan goes drastically wrong and culminates in a car accident.

Speaking about the plot on Sunrise, the actor said: "The good thing about Brax as a character is that I got a lot of exciting storylines.

"It was mainly trying to finish up with something that was bigger and better than what we had done and I think we did it. That was a good, fun day crashing that car - not that I was personally in it.

"It was a top bookend to the whole saga that has been the Braxtons and Brax, my character."

Peacocke is currently in London filming for the new movie Me Before You, which will see him play a nurse called Nathan.

Brax in Home and Away

Speaking about the role, he said: "It's an interesting story and I am playing a nurse so it is a bit different to the way the fans of Brax and Home and Away will be used to seeing me!

"I always wanted to do films - most actors want to do that. I was fortunate to land Home and Away a few years ago, which is the best job I have ever had up until this point.

"This is always the progression I wanted to take. As much as I was sad to leave the show when I did, it was a good time. I have been lucky so far. This is my second film and I have worked with some incredible people. It's where I want to be."

Over on Home and Away, fans will see Brax's final scenes air following an explosive car accident.

After his prison escape plan goes drastically wrong and culminates in the incident, Brax (Steve Peacocke) is eventually presumed dead after he fails to rise from the water.

Ash (George Mason) takes the news particularly badly as he, along with a team of divers, desperately search for Brax, but to no avail.

However, as a devastated Ricky is given the news, Ash heads to the safe house where he comes face-to-face with Brax, who has actually survived the accident.

As Ash explains to him that everyone thinks he is dead, Brax reveals his plans to fake his own death in order to keep Ricky and his baby son Casey safe from dangerous Gunno.

Despite reservations from Ash, Brax is determined to follow through with his decision and says his goodbyes to Ash before heading out of Summer Bay forever. With Ricky believing that Brax has died, how will she cope in the wake of his exit?

Home and Away airs these scenes on Tuesday, August 4 and Wednesday, August 5 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.

Well, well, well!! & article in today's Sunday Telegraph. The online version has the headline "Home and Away star Steve Peacocke brings Brax back for one-off", while the hardcopy newspaper has the headline "Brax is back in the Bay but this is the last time". As Dazzle has suggested previously, I thought maybe that he may have shot a few extra scenes last Dec before he left for overseas, but the caption under the photo of him in the newspaper version says "Steve Peacocke in Sydney last week to shoot a top secret storyline for Home and Away", so these must be new scenes (or is that just a fib & he did really shoot the scenes a while ago? - I wouldn't put it past them!). Is he back for Ricky's exit storyline? or maybe to help Kyle out? does he clear his name? Could be a number of possibilities. It says his scenes will be on air later this year, but I think they have already filmed the season finale, so maybe it will be early next year, or have they just filmed things out of order because this is the only time Steve was available?

STEVE Peacocke always planned on returning to Summer Bay — he just didn’t know it was going to be this soon.
“It was a good story the producers put to me, so I thought it is a nice way to see everyone for a bit.”

Peacocke was nominated for a Gold Logie this year for his more than four years playing River boy Darryl “Brax” Braxton in the TV drama.

“The show has been so good to me in terms of launching my career, so it is just something I always wanted to do — if there was any way I could be a part of something in the future,” Peacocke explained.

“It will be an interesting *little twist. While Brax is in the Bay it will spice things up a bit, I think.”

Peacocke’s storyline is top secret and won’t be revealed until his episodes go to air later this year. After packing up his Sydney home and making his move to Hollywood earlier this year, the popular actor is back on set of Home and Away shooting top-secret episodes.

“It is a nice little surprise,” 33-year-old Peacocke told The Sunday Telegraph.
When pushed on the storyline and asked if Brax will be killed off, he said: “I can’t say anything about what is going to happen, but it is something the audience is going to love, which is part of why I thought it would be a nice book end.

“It is a cool story and it’s going to pack a punch.”
Peacocke and his actor wife Bridgette Sneddon moved to the US earlier this year and Peacocke has since worked on two back-to-back films.
The first, Fun House, will see him share the big screen with Tina Fey, Billy Bob Thornton, Margot Robbie and Martin Freeman.

Just a couple of months after leaving the Bay, Steve Peacocke has revealed that his character Brax is returning for a top-secret storyline.

The actor, who has been spotted filming scenes on the Home and Away set, told The Sunday Telegraph that Brax's return will "spice things up a bit".

"It is a nice little surprise," Peacocke revealed. "It was a good story the producers put to me, so I thought it is a nice way to see everyone for a bit."

He added: "The show has been so good to me in terms of launching my career, so it is just something I always wanted to do — if there was any way I could be a part of something in the future."

Viewers of the soap will know that Brax's attempt to escape from prison saw the character presumed dead for many residents of the Bay, while only Ash and his sister Billie know that Brax actually lived and decided to bow out of Summer Bay of his own accord.

"It will be an interesting *little twist," Peacocke shared of his return. "While Brax is in the Bay it will spice things up a bit, I think.

"I can't say anything about what is going to happen, but it is something the audience is going to love, which is part of why I thought it would be a nice bookend.

"It is a cool story, and it's going to pack a punch."

The actor previously praised his dramatic exit storyline, calling it "a top bookend to the whole saga that has been the Braxtons and Brax".

Peacocke has also recently finished work on Fun House, a Paramount Pictures project starring Tina Fey and Margot Robbie.

He made his first appearance on Home and Away in 2011.

When I recently said on another thread I thought Steve Peacocke would be open to returning for an episode or two, I didn't think it'd happen this quickly!

As he says this is the last time he'll appear as Brax, it sounds like the Brax/Ricky relationship will be wrapped up once and for all. I wonder if he'll die for real this time? (I hope not because that would be too cruel on Ricky and Kyle.)

I hadn't read about Kyle getting sick, but that would be an excellent reason for Brax to return. If it happens, maybe Heath offers but isn't a match.

Is it possible that Brax's return is for the special episode to be shown on Presto?

With regard to Kyle, this is from Aust pace so, SPOILER ALERT!!! & please don't read if you don't want to know in advance:

It turns out Kyle is allergic to the dialysis, so he needs a transplant urgently or he will die. Heath Is not a match, but Brax is!, but they tell the doctor he is dead, so Ricky & Ash are tested as well - Ricky is not a match, but Ash is & he agrees to do it (& it looks like he will use this as the reason not to tell Ricky that Brax is still alive). That is where Aust is up to as at last Friday.

This would have all been filmed a while ago of course, so I don't know if these new scenes being filmed now are to do with Brax donating his kidney (this time!), as the current storyline implies that if the transplant is not done almost immediately, Kyle will die - so I imagine it will have to be Ash doing the donating! A thought, what if Kyle's body rejects Ash's kidney (lol!) a bit further down the track, & Brax has to come to the rescue?

it seems pretty certain that Brax's return will be to "book-end" (as Steve puts it) his story on the show, but like you Dazzle, many people are asking whether he will also make an appearance on the special Presto episode - nothing is being confirmed or denied!

I found this on a spoiler site - original article from Woman's Day Magazine. Pictures of Steve/Brax filming his "secret storyline". Hopefully you can scroll thru the pictures (there is an arrow right to click) & read the captions below each one, most of which are behind the camera type shots - but there are a couple which suggest that he & Ricky re-unite (& drive off into the sunset??). Although officially they are saying that he will return later this year, from the timing of the filming I wonder if it will just be a glimpse of him in the final episode(s) this year (Aust), & the actual storyline won't happen till early next year.

I hate the way Steve Peacocke's being made out to be the saviour of Home and Away. I'm highly dubious the show's ratings are down just because Brax is gone, but, even if that's true, a handful of episodes featuring Brax will do nothing in the long term to save H&A.

I agree Dazzle. Although many Braxton Clan fans would argue otherwise, IMO there are definitely other reasons why the shows ratings are down, as has been discussed previously on this forum (the overall writing, storylines, character development, continuity etc etc). Just on ratings, I read yesterday that the Ed Sheeran appearance last Thurs didn't do anything to bump up the ratings either (especially given how hard they plugged/advertised it), in fact the ratings were down (under 700k) for that night, even compared to the previous Thurs' double episode - giving more fuel to the possible rumoured move to channel 7two. This latest Woman's Day article/pictures may be perceived as possibly being a bit desperate - I assume it was sanctioned by the Producers/Channel 7? Like I mentioned previously, the official announcements have been that Brax will be on air "later this year", but the timing of filming suggests the storyline won't be till next year (one spoiler site is saying Feb 16). Will there be just glimpses of him lurking behind a tree, or something similar, late this season, so they can't be accused of lying about him being on air this year? Why release this article/pictures now? - are they just trying to keep the Brax fans interested for the rest of the year? Like you say Dazzle, just having him back for a few episodes won't help the show long term. Judging by comments I have seen on some Fan Sites, there seems to be quite a few people out there who still think that Brax is actually coming back for good - how angry will they be when they realise he will only be there for a short while!!

I'm of the firm opinion that Brax and the other Braxtons have done more damage to the show than not. Ever since they come onto Home & Away, the writers and producers have focussed so much on them and Brax in particular that they haven't put as much effort into other storylines and characters in the same way, and now they're gone they've found that they're floundering and the show is in a rut, I think. They've alienated viewers who weren't interested / didn't like the Braxton's and they're criminal lifestyle and the writers seem to be clinging desperately to Brax and his fan-base and seem to be under the illusion that he's the be all and end all of the show.

(I "unliked" the H&A official facebook page years ago when they kept posting things such as "Brax is our super-hero, why is he yours?")

I've heard the rumours too that Ricky will leave with Brax when he comes back, and I agree that it's a ready-made exit story for her, but Heath was the brother who got to leave with his wife and kids, so it'd feel too similar if Brax got that ending too.

just a thought but i remember reading a few weeks back someone posting something about tessa (or whoever played Billie) being back on set or whatever and since *spoilers*Denny is dying*end spoilers* that means the only one who knows about Brax still being alive are now Billie and Ash and /if/ Billie /is/ coming back, maybe she is part of the reason since Brax is coming back, because Steve has been filming recently and Billie may be back, it could be she comes back to get closure or whatever with her past and she starts by saying that Brax is alive idk do u get wat i am trying 2 say here??

TL;DR if Billie really is back since her and Brax seem to be filming within a month of each other it's possible she reveals Brax is alive when she comes back ok bye

I "unliked" the H&A official facebook page years ago when they kept posting things such as "Brax is our super-hero, why is he yours?"

Just my opinion, but I think it would be cool to have when Brax comes back for the episode or two, that he sees Nate and Ricky together so he leaves them be. Ridiculously sad, but I think that's one of the only ways they could put him into only ONE episode... thoughts?

Yes could well happen like that and that's what happened with Leah and Vinnie

Home and Away has released an exciting new promo in the build-up to Brax's explosive return.

https://au.tv.yahoo.com/home-and-away/clips/29868880/he-is-alive-/

It was announced last month that Steve Peacocke would be reprising his role as Brax for a top-secret storyline.

Viewers of the soap will know that Brax's attempt to escape from prison saw the character presumed dead for many residents of the Bay, while only Ash and his sister Billie know that Brax actually lived and decided to bow out of Summer Bay of his own accord.

The details surrounding Brax's return are still under wraps, but the promo shows newcomer Trystan telling Charlotte King that he believes the eldest Braxton brother is still alive.

Meanwhile, Ash can be seen sending a frantic message to his friend saying that they need to talk.

Peacocke has hinted that Brax's return will "spice things up a bit" and fans will undoubtedly be eager to see how he reacts to the news that his former girlfriend Ricky Sharpe has moved on with doctor Nate Cooper.

Trouble is never far behind Home and Away favourite Brax, and he is about to be involved in a storyline that hasn't been done on the show before.

Fans thought they had seen the last of the oldest Braxton brother when he faked his own death earlier this year, but Steve Peacocke has reprised his role for a "very significant" new plot.

Speaking to Yahoo Australia about Brax's return, Peacocke said: "Next year, there is a pretty significant storyline.

"You might call it the finale to Brax but I think the audience are really going to enjoy it. If I was an audience member, that storyline is something I would want to see.

"It is something that has never been done in the 27 years of the show. The producers put that to me and I went, 'Yeah right! What hasn't been done?' But I read it and it hasn't!

"It was good fun to do. It is not some big explosion or anything. It's just a really cool episode."

Brax was last seen on screen earlier this year when his attempt to escape from prison culminated in a car crash which left the majority of Summer Bay residents presuming he was dead.

Australian viewers recently saw Brax make an appearance at the end of the season's finale episode, but his return storyline will pick up next year. :cheer:

Sounds intriguing. Steve says "it's just a really cool episode", so does that mean Brax only returns for one episode?

Bit ambiguous ... could be that whatever has not been done before happens in "one cool episode" but he might still be around for a bit afterwards ... which would be nice :D:thumbsup: Although as he is off to Hollywood I don't think he will be around for long even if it is for more than one episode

he's back for at least 2 episodes.
there's the one where he "comes back" and then there's the one a few months later when Ricky leaves with him, which was filmed at the same time as the earlier episode.

Home and Away is lining up a two-hander for the first time in the show's history.

An entire episode will be based around Ricky Sharpe and Brax following his return to Summer Bay.

Viewers saw Brax (Steve Peacocke) fake his own death last year after months of trouble at the hands of his prison enemy Gunno.

With Ricky (Bonnie Sveen) believing her partner was gone forever, she was forced to cope alone as a single mother to their baby son Casey and recently found love again with old flame Nate.

Ricky will learn that Brax is alive shortly after getting engaged to Nate, prompting him immediately to call the wedding off.

The two-hander episode will centre around Ricky and Brax's love story and will explore the aftermath of his actions.

Now faced with the prospect of a future with Brax, Ricky now has to make one of the biggest decisions of her life. Who will she choose - Brax or Nate?

This must be what Steve Peacocke meant when he hinted at something different happening upon Brax's return. It should be a good episode.

From another website on the upcoming two-hander episode, so SPOILER ALERT!

H&A to air Brax & Ricky Two-Hander

In a first for Home and Away, the show is set to air a special two-hander episode next week in Australia.

Episode 6361 on Monday 15th February will centre on a single conversation between Ricky Sharpe (Bonnie Sveen) and Darryl Braxton (Stephen Peacocke) following his shock return to Summer Bay.

Back in June 2015, Brax was planning to make his escape from incarceration after arranging to be transferred to another prison. However the plan went awry when Gunno’s men ran the prison van off the road and into the river. After saving the prison guard, Brax disappeared and was presumed dead. It wasn’t until Ash met up with Brax in a safehouse that viewers learnt Brax was indeed alive, and decided that continuing the pretence of being dead would be safer for his family.

Since then however, the secret has slowly been leaking out, with Ash’s sister Billie being the first to find out the truth. With Denny Miller and Charlotte King also finding out about Brax’s survival before their respective deaths, the latter of which had been forced into investigating by a suspecting Gunno, it was only going to be a matter of time before things came to a head.

Ricky finally learnt that Brax was alive in the 2015 season finale after Ash had told Phoebe—and has barely had time to digest the news before Brax shows up on her doorstep to ask her and baby Casey to run away with him.

Ricky’s engagement to Nate Cooper will complicate matters further, and whilst it appears initially that Ricky will choose to remain in Summer Bay with Nate, there have been indications that Bonnie Sveen may have filmed her final scenes in December—and possibly filmed further scenes for her departure during Stephen Peacocke’s brief return earlier in the year.

The episode will air in the UK on 4th April 2016.

The show previously aired a four-hander episode in 2004 (Episode 3716) which centred around Sally, Flynn, Leah and Jesse.

Home and Away welcomes back fan favourite Brax one last time later this month, as he heads back to Summer Bay for Ricky Sharpe's exit week.

Steve Peacocke has reprised his role as Brax for a handful of new scenes, which see the popular character invited back by his love rival Nate Cooper.

After weeks of tension and disagreements, Ricky (Bonnie Sveen) and Nate (Kyle Pryor) will come to the heartbreaking realisation that their relationship is doomed and they're better off apart.

Although he's devastated by how things have turned out, Nate is determined that Ricky should be happy and secretly calls Brax to encourage him to fight for his ex.

Much to Ricky's surprise, Brax does reappear and reveals that he's now a free man but didn't get in touch as he didn't want to interfere in her seemingly happy marriage.

Now that Ricky is available again, Brax makes a heartfelt plea for her to spend the rest of her life with him - paving the way for some bittersweet scenes as they leave the Bay together. But how will Nate really cope with the break-up?
